1 In 5 NYC Hotels Is Now An Illegal Migrant Shelter, Driving Up Prices

Lodging in New York City has become obscenely expensive because the government keeps providing housing to illegal migrants.

Glenn LOSES IT after NYC mayor blames TEXAS for illegal immigrant crisis

According to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a “madman down in Texas,” otherwise known as Texas Governor Greg Abbott, is destroying New York City by sending buses full of illegal immigrants to the city.

Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere think Adams is being more than a little hypocritical and ridiculous.

“Why is he a madman?” Stu asks. “He had the same observation you have. He had the same exact point you have, Eric. He’s seeing not ten thousand, but millions of people cross this border while he’s been governor.”

Stu and Glenn see what Abbott’s done as sheer desperation, for fear that Texas won’t survive with millions of illegal immigrants crossing over its border.

“They’re on the same exact team here, right, in theory. Except that Governor Abbott doesn’t have a policy that promises free housing for everyone who shows up and calls himself a sanctuary city,” Stu adds.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and the Department of Homeland Security have launched a nationwide workforce initiative that will funnel millions of border crossers and illegal aliens in the United States directly to jobs.

However, Mayor Eric Adams can’t seem to figure out who is actually to blame.

“I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City,” Adams told an audience. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

“We’re getting people from all over the globe, have made their minds up that they’re going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City,” he added.

“Imagine how Dallas and Houston are impacted. Imagine how San Antonio and Austin have been impacted. Imagine those towns of 5,000 people by the border, how they’ve been impacted,” Glenn responds.

“Every sanctuary city should have busload after busload after busload. You’re a sanctuary city, you wanted them,” he adds.

Leftists Don’t Mind NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ Religious Talk Because He Puts Politics First

Adams' faith raises important questions about reconciling different political opinions that both claim to derive from religious truths.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams says NYPD would not repeat Uvalde police mistakes during school shooting

New York City Mayor Eric Adams asserted Tuesday that in a school shooting event in his city, NYPD officers and other first responders would not hesitate to intervene, in contrast to the reported police response to the deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, last week.

"That is not going to happen in New York. We go in with an active shooter," Adams said Tuesday morning on "Morning Joe."

"Not only would the police go in with an active shooter, but the FDNY, EMS, they’re trained to go in with an active shooter,” he continued. “It appears as though this was treated more like a barricaded armed person or a hostage negotiation scenario instead of an active shooter."

Adams also said that he intended to reach out to Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin to discuss what local leaders can do to address gun violence.

“I’m going to call him today, because this is a mayors’ battle,” Adams said. "Mayors are being impacted by that.'

Police in Uvalde, Texas, have faced mounting criticism over their response to last week's shooting at Robb Elementary School, where 19 children and two teachers were murdered by a gunman.

At a press conference Friday, Texas Department of Public Safety Chief Steven McCraw told reporters that during the shooting, police had come to believe the gunman had barricaded himself in a classroom and was no longer an active shooter threat. Several officers had waited for backup in the school hallway as children were trapped in the classroom with the gunman.

Some of the children were speaking with police dispatchers over the phone and begging for police to rescue them. Instead, officers waited nearly an hour before the classroom was breached and the gunman incapacitated.

“Obviously, based on the information we have, there were children in that classroom that were still at risk,” McCraw said Friday. "From the benefit of hindsight where I’m sitting now, of course, it was not the right decision. It was the wrong decision. Period.”

ABC News reported Monday that the Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force have ceased to cooperate with the Texas Department of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre. The decision to end cooperation with the investigation came shortly after McCraw said that police had made the "wrong decision," ABC News reported.

The Biden administration announced Sunday that the Department of Justice will open an investigation into the police response in Uvalde, in response to a request from Mayor McLaughlin. The department said the review "will be fair, transparent, and independent."

“The goal of the review is to provide an independent account of law enforcement actions and responses that day, and to identify lessons learned and best practices to help first responders prepare for and respond to active shooter events,” the Justice Department said.

Fed up Yankee Stadium worker takes legal action against NYC Mayor over COVID tyranny

"I’m fighting for everyone who was fired unjustly for these draconian mandates”

Virginia Alleyne worked as a waitress at Yankee Stadium for 17 years until she was placed on unpaid leave due to her non-compliance with the New York City COVID-19 vaccination mandate — the same mandate NYC Mayor Eric Adams recently exempted athletes and performers from, leaving behind the rest of the city’s workers with his astounding hypocrisy on full display.

“Being healthy is not just about being physically healthy, but being economically healthy,” Adams said at Citi Field last month where he announced the signing of his exemption order.

This last move by the mayor to allow the wealthy and famous to earn a living while completely ignoring workers like herself was the final injustice for Alleyne, who took action by filing a lawsuit. “For him to allow millionaires to work and to punish the workers who are the lifeblood of this city is just horrendous,” Alleyne explained in the New York Post.

Glenn Beck invited Alleyne to “Glenn TV” to get the full scope of her story, including her lawsuit. She explained to Glenn that she refrained from getting vaccinated because of religious reasons and filed a religious exemption with her employers at Yankee Stadium. Her employers, however, refused to allow her to continue waitressing in the Legends Suite Club, where she held seniority.

“I’ve been working for the Yankees for 17 years, so it is atrocious,” Alleyne told Glenn. “I know Mayor Adams inherited the situation, but the first thing he should have done is repeal the mandates. Let’s get people back to work, let’s get the city back.”

Alleyne described New York City like “the wild wild West,” noting how excruciatingly dangerous the city has grown alongside the increase in the homeless population she fears she’s on the brink of joining herself. Keeping her spirit alive to fight the good fight are her faith and her 15-year-old autistic son.

Alleyne added that she’s doing this for the others like her who have been kicked to the curb by the city. “This is for the nurses, who are on the front line. The police, the firefighters, the stadium workers, the servers, the security guards. … I’m fighting for everyone who was fired unjustly for these draconian mandates.”

A 67-year-old woman was hit on the head and pushed down the stairs of a New York subway station by a man stealing her purse

On Saturday, a purse snatcher punched a 67-year-old woman in the head before he knocked her down the stairs of a subway station in Manhattan.

The New York Post reported that the man attacked the woman just before 7:00 a.m. this past Tuesday. The attack took place at the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal station, according to the New York Police Department.

The NYPD said that she “sustained minor injuries from the fall.”

The violent thief absconded with the woman’s personal cellphone, roughly $150 in cash, and credit cards that were being held in the woman’s purse, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of a suspect who appears to have something stuffed under his hooded sweatshirt as he walks down the street and out of the surveillance camera’s view.

This past February, New York City’s new Mayor, Eric Adams, committed to cracking down on violent crime in the subways by removing the city’s homeless residents who ride “the same lines all night” in the city’s sprawling metro system.

The mayor previously referred to the city’s homeless population as a “cancerous sore” and said that the city would begin to deploy more police and mental health workers throughout its transit network to prevent violent crimes from being carried out in the subway and subway stations as well as to remove transient homeless populations.

Adams said, “No more just doing whatever you want. Those days are over. Swipe your MetroCard, ride the system, get off at your destination. That’s what this administration is saying.”

He continued, “People tell me about their fear of using the system, and we’re going to ensure that fear is not New York’s reality.”

In mid-February, Kevin Douglas, a 40-year-old man, was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree robbery, and second-degree assault after viciously attacking a Thai woman in a subway station before proceeding to sexually assault her.

On 11/22 at the Herald Square station, in this shocking video, suspect attacks 23YO Bew Jirajariyawetch on the platform. However, violent crime remains a very real threat in many places in New York City besides the subway system.

This past winter, a 4-year-old boy was assaulted by a grown man in Times Square at 3:20 p.m. in the afternoon. And in mid-March, the Museum of Modern Art in Midtown Manhattan was evacuated after a man stabbed two employees.

According to a report from WNBC-TV, a regional NBC affilate providing coverage to Manhattan, violent crime is on the rise in New York City. Rape was reported to be up 27 percent, felony assault by 12 percent, robbery up by 33 percent, and burglary up by six percent.

Resurfaced video shows NYC Mayor Eric Adams calling white NYPD officers a racially charged slur in 2019

A resurfaced video shows Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams using a racially charged slur to describe white NYPD officers in 2019.

The video clip features Adams speaking to an audience at an event hosted by the Harlem Business Alliance in 2019.

Adams appears to brag about outperforming white members of the New York Police Department.

"Every day in the police department, I kicked those crackers' ass, man," Adams is heard saying in the unearthed footage.

"Cracker" is a racial epithet for white people, especially poor white individuals from rural areas.

"Man, I was unbelievable in the police department with 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement," Adams said, referring to the 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care group he co-founded in 1995.

"I became a sergeant, a lieutenant, and a captain. You know the story," Adams boasted. "Some people, all of a sudden, are trying to reinvent me. But the reality is what I was then is who I am now."

In the speech that was given 11 months before Adams officially announced his candidacy for mayor of New York City in November 2020, he wisecracked about forgoing his run for mayor for a more relaxed situation. Adams joked that he would rather "wear white all day, grow a beard, smoke some weed, and leave this stuff alone."

"The people who say, 'Where's our real Black leaders?' They’re going to say, 'Listen, who’s Eric? Why does Eric think he should be mayor?' Well, negro, you run. You run. Go raise the 7 million dollars," Adams told the crowd.

The video was reportedly uploaded to YouTube by Thomas Lopez-Pierre — founder of the Black Lives Matter Real Estate Forum, LLC.

Lopez-Pierre — a self-described "agitator, advocator, and activist" — said of Adams' choice of words, "This is how Black people talk. To us, it was family. We were having a conversation with family."

Lopez-Pierre told the New York Daily News that he is disappointed that Adams plans to beef up the NYPD.

"More cops are going to get killed because black men do not have opportunity," Lopez-Pierre told the NYDN. "I think it’s a great plan for white people to feel falsely safe...Before the end of the year, more than one police officer is going to be killed."

The mayor's office did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comment on Friday afternoon.

Facing financial crisis, NYC Mayor de Blasio to furlough himself and 495 members of his staff for a week

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) announced Wednesday that all members of his mayoral staff — including himself — will be subject to a mandatory one-week furlough due to the city's massive revenue shortfall amid coronavirus lockdowns.

The policy, which forces city employees to essentially take an unpaid vacation sometime between October and March, will affect 495 people, including de Blasio himself and first lady Chirlane McCray, the New York Times reported.

The forced furlough comes as de Blasio has so far failed to petition New York state for longterm borrowing or the federal government for a stimulus bailout.

It is a largely symbolic move as it is expected to yield $860,000 in savings — a mere drop in the bucket compared to the city's $9 billion, two-year revenue shortfall.

In recent weeks, the embattled mayor has threatened laying off 22,000 city workers unless the city receive a bailout of some kind. But so far, state and federal officials have balked at his warnings.

President Donald Trump, for one, has voiced opposition to granting federal bailouts to Democratic states and cities, which he argued suffered from significant fiscal mismanagement long before the virus.

On Wednesday, de Blasio took on a more somber tone in making the announcement.

"This is a step you never want to see for good, hardworking people, the folks who work here throughout this crisis," the mayor said. "So it is with pain that I say they and their families will lose a week's pay."

"We have to make tough choices to move this city forward and keep our budget balanced," he added.

During the news conference, de Blasio made sure to call on constituents yet again to push their federal and state representatives to act on behalf of the city.

"We'll keep fighting for those bigger changes," he said.

Speaking with the Times, Citizens Budget Commission President Andrew Rein argued that, now six months into the pandemic, the mayor should have already produced a plan to tackle the debt.

"It would be great if this helps dislodge that inertia," Rein said. "It's hard to say if it will."

In contrast, Bill Neidhardt, a spokesman for the mayor, hailed the move as "a significant gesture that reasserts City Hall recognizes the sacrifices that will have to be made across the board if we don't get a stimulus or borrowing."

Fox News reported that with a mayoral salary of $258,541 per year, de Blasio is set to lose just short of $5,000 during his weeklong furlough.

(ready) Democratic rep takes down NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio in just 6 seconds — ‘that’s it guys ... that’s the whole ad’

It took just six seconds for Democratic Rep. Max Rose (N.Y) to drive his point home in a new ad attacking New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Rose, who represents New York's 11th congressional district, which includes all of Staten Island and parts of southern Brooklyn, used only the few words necessary to characterize his feelings about the mayor.

'The worst mayor'

"Bill de Blasio is the worst Mayor in the history of New York City," he bluntly states before lifting his arms and staring blankly at the camera. "That's it, guys. Seriously, that's the whole ad."

Bill de Blasio is the worst Mayor in the history of New York City.Just stating the facts in my latest ad #NY11 https://t.co/SHfBEix5l6
— Max Rose (@Max Rose)1599685305.0

According to the New York Post, Rose's campaign made the same accusation in a separate ad that ran for only six seconds total.

The outlet also noted the reasoning behind the ad may be that Rose is locked in a tight reelection battle against Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis at the moment.

Slamming de Blasio could bolster support for Rose in a district where the mayor is unpopular, though it's worth noting that Rose was critical of de Blasio prior to running the ad. He took shots at the mayor during his first run for Congress in 2018 when he ousted Republican incumbent Dan Donovan.

Malliotakis, a state assemblywoman, ran against de Blasio in the mayoral race in 2017, and while she lost to de Blasio citywide, she handily defeated him in Staten Island.

Others share the sentiment

The Daily Caller, in its report on the news, noticed that Rose was far from the only American who thinks de Blasio is the "worst mayor."

Here are just a couple tweets demonstrating as much:

.@newtgingrich has some words for America's worst Mayor, Bill de Blasio! https://t.co/Es46b50Kfn
— MediaResearchCenter (@MediaResearchCenter)1599603840.0

De Blasio's reputation has fallen to new lows in recent months due to disapproval over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests in the city.

A local report recently found that only 1 in 10 political insiders approved of the job that de Blasio was doing as mayor.

Thankfully for his critics, the mayor's second and final term will be up in 2021.
