NBC reporter: Fox should have ‘taken a moment' to defend reporters’ honor instead of asking Trump a question
Friday at a press event with British Prime Minister Theresa May in England, President Donald Trump refused to answer a question from CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, saying “CNN is fake news. I don’t take questions from CNN.” He instead answered John Roberts from Fox News.

Trump also hit NBC for being “possibly worse than CNN” at the same press event.

NBC news reporter Ken Dilanian took to Twitter to suggest that John Roberts of Fox should have taken the moment to defend “his colleagues,” including Acosta, who has a history of heckling at press events, instead of asking his own question of the president.
I really wish @johnrobertsFox had taken a moment there to defend his colleagues.— Ken Dilanian (@Ken Dilanian) 1531488453.0
Because clearly, that's what Acosta would have done if the president blew off Fox News? LOL.
Update:
President Trump also took a swipe at NBC after reporter Kristen Welker asked a question about giving Russian President Vladimir Putin the "upper hand."
“See, that’s such dishonest reporting,” Trump said. “Of course it happens to be NBC — which is possibly worse than CNN.”
In a statement to Conservative Review, John Roberts said:
In today's press conference, I paused while my colleague from CNN went back and forth with President Trump over a question. When it became clear that the president wasn't going to entertain a question from him, I proceeded with my question, as did my fellow colleagues in the press corps. I know Kristen Welker of NBC. She is honest as the day is long. For the President to call her dishonest is unfair. I also used to work at CNN. There are some fine journalists who work there and risk their lives to report on stories around the world. To issue a blanket condemnation of the network as 'fake news' is also unfair.
