Exclusive: Trump 2026 budget to slash funds for migrant programs
President Donald Trump's budget lays out plans to cut funding for several federal programs and services that incentivize illegal immigration, Blaze News has exclusively learned.
Illegal immigration was a focal point of Trump's campaign and is now a focal point of his presidency. With border crossings now reaching record lows, Trump is aiming to defund the "invasion" altogether by cutting taxpayer programs his administration says incentivizes illegal immigration, according to a memo obtained exclusively by Blaze News. These include programs that de-emphasize the importance of the English language and provide special taxpayer-funded, liberally tinged education to illegal migrants.
The president's budget is independent from the House and the Senate's efforts and negotiations, but it serves as a signal and a blueprint for the White House's priorities.
By eliminating these programs, Trump's budget will actively disincentivize illegal immigration and simultaneously save Americans over $5.6 billion.
"President Trump is committed to eliminating the funding of our own invasion," the memo, obtained by Blaze News, reads. "The President's FY 2026 Budget fully funds a strong border, mass deportation, and stops the endless stream of benefits to illegal aliens given preference over American citizens."
Trump's budget would eliminate the English Language Acquisition program, which promotes "educational equity" and touts multilingualism as opposed to encouraging English as the United States' primary language, according to the memo. Under former President Joe Biden's administration, this program was used to fund education for illegal aliens while "simultaneously promoting divisive ideological indoctrination in the classroom." Cutting this program alone would save the taxpayer $890 million.
Other "educational" programs on the chopping block include the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act grant program and the Migrant Education and Special Programs for Migrant Students, saving Americans $729 million and $428 million, respectively. These programs provide various educational services to illegal aliens, oftentimes encouraging "radical diversity, equity, and inclusion," or DEI.
Trump's budget would also eliminate the Department of Homeland Security Shelter and Services Program, which the White House charges "massively facilitated illegal migration" by providing transportation and shelter to illegal aliens in Democrat-run sanctuary cities and states, saving taxpayers $650 million. The budget would also eliminate another $3.5 billion in Migration and Refugee Assistance, which the Biden Department of State used to facilitate illegal migration on the premise of a "mostly bogus refugee status."
By eliminating these programs, Trump's budget would both actively disincentivize illegal immigration and simultaneously save Americans over $5.6 billion.

Exclusive: Speaker Johnson to host widow at Trump's address whose husband was killed by an illegal alien
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will be hosting Olivia Hayes, the widow of Wesley Hayes, for President Donald Trump's joint congressional address Tuesday, Blaze News has exclusively learned.
Hayes' husband was killed by an illegal immigrant in a drunk-driving accident in Louisiana, a tragedy that Johnson says is a reflection of former President Joe Biden's disastrous open-border policy.
Because of Biden's open-border policies, Hayes' story is unfortunately not an isolated incident.
"Wesley Hayes was an active member of his community, a devout Christian, and a new father whose life was tragically taken by the actions of an illegal alien," Johnson told Blaze News. "Instead of raising their young family together, Wesley’s wife, Olivia, is now a single mother and a widow."
"It’s my honor to host Olivia as a guest at President Trump’s joint address to Congress to honor Wesley’s memory and shine a light on the human toll of President Biden’s open-border policy," Johnson added.
Because of Biden's open-border policies, Hayes' story is unfortunately not an isolated incident. Under Biden's tenure, we saw the atrocious loss of Americans including Laken Riley at the hands of illegal migrants. Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl in Texas, was allegedly murdered by Venezuelan nationals as well.
With record numbers of migrant crossings during the Biden administration, immigration became a key issue for voters across the board in 2024. As a result, Trump swept all seven swing states and secured the popular vote, and Republicans have since worked to deliver on the mandate Americans gave him in November.

Top NY Dems working to topple Eric Adams for embracing Trump deportation policies: Report
Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul is reportedly considering removing Eric Adams from his mayoral post after several New York City officials resigned from his administration.
First Deputy Mayor Maria Torres-Springer as well as Deputy Mayors Meera Joshi, Anne Williams-Isom, and Chauncey Parker all resigned on Monday. Following their resignations, Hochul is set to hold a meeting Tuesday to discuss a "path forward" for the dwindling Adams administration.
'I think they used the terminology, "You were not being a good Democrat,''' Adams said. 'I think that was their philosophy. That I was supposed to silently watch what happens to this city, and I love this city.'
"If they feel unable to serve in City Hall at this time, that raises serious questions about the long-term future of this mayoral administration," Hochul said of the former staff in a Monday statement.
Hochul also alluded to potentially removing Adams from his mayoral post, citing "alleged conduct" that has taken place in City Hall.
"I recognize the immense responsibility I hold as governor and the constitutional powers granted to this office," Hochul said in the statement. "In 235 years of New York State history, these powers have never been utilized to remove a duly-elected mayor; overturning the will of the voters is a serious step that should not be taken lightly."
"That said, the alleged conduct at City Hall that has been reported over the past two weeks is troubling and cannot be ignored," Hochul added. "Tomorrow, I have asked key leaders to meet with me at my Manhattan office for a conversation about the path forward, with the goal of ensuring stability for the City of New York."
Much of the conflict surrounding Adams and the administration in recent weeks has revolved around his sudden embrace of President Donald Trump's deportation policies.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Adams admitted that when he spoke with Biden's administration about the migrant crisis, he was told to "be a good Democrat."
"I think they used the terminology, 'You were not being a good Democrat,'" Adams said. "I think that was their philosophy, that I was supposed to silently watch what happens to this city. And I love this city."
Truthfully, Adams couldn't afford to be a "good Democrat" anymore. The migrant crisis in New York City was costing taxpayers billions, flooding their schools and their communities with the expectation of endless welfare and subsidies. After realizing they could no longer foot the bill, Adams' approach changed.
In doing so, Adams has had multiple meetings with border czar Tom Homan, who seemed optimistic about the mayor's cooperation.
"He’s all in on addressing public safety threats that are here illegally and helping me find these missing children," Homan said of Adams.
"I think New York City is about to get a lot safer," Homan said. "I think New York City is about to send a strong message."

Remain in Mexico: Rep. Brandon Gill is sending them back
President Trump hasn’t been in office for a month, and he’s already made good on several promises he made to the American people — one of those being tariffs.
And while many Americans are not in favor of Trump’s tariffs, they already appear to be doing what he intended them to do.
“Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum already agreed to send 10,000 National Guard troops to close or at least help enforce the border on the Mexican side and stop the massive drug inflow in exchange for a one-month pause on the tariffs,” Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” explains.
Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas isn’t one of those against the tariffs and couldn’t agree with Trump’s decision more.
“The left likes to talk about the cost of tariffs, the price of avocados are going to go up, the price of flowers are going to go up, well my country’s sovereignty is worth more than cheap flowers and cheap avocados,” Gill tells Gonzales.
“The reality is that over the past four years, Joe Biden has allowed the Mexican government to help facilitate over ten million people coming into our country,” he continues. “We now have around 425,000 illegal aliens in our country who are guilty of crimes, that includes about 14,000 murderers, around 16,000 people who have been guilty of sexual assault, we’ve had over 21,000 pounds of fentanyl pour across our border.”
“That’s enough fentanyl to kill, I believe, almost five million people. I mean, this is a serious national crisis,” he adds.
And Gill is doing more than just agreeing with President Trump.
The congressman has helped to revive a "Remain in Mexico" bill that will be voted on in the house and seeks to codify President Donald Trump’s executive order into law.
“I think that codifying President Trump’s executive orders into law to make them permanent should be congress’s top priority,” Gill tells Gonzales. “We’ve seen executive orders ranging from border security to energy policy to getting rid of DEI to everything in between. All the things that President Trump ran on, he’s actually doing.”
“It’s refreshing to see a president make promises and fulfill them as quickly as possible,” he adds.

Blaze News original: American hiker shot by 'suspected cartel terrorists' highlights chaos under sanctuary laws
A group of "suspected cartel terrorists" shot an American hiker last week in California near one of the most heavily trafficked border crossings in the nation.
According to Customs and Border Protection, the agency was notified by the Imperial County Sheriff's Office about the ruthless attack around 11:00 a.m. on January 22.
'Yet another alarming example of the chaos at our southern border.'
CBP encountered the group approximately 1,000 feet north of the U.S.-Mexico border.
U.S. Border Patrol El Centro Sector officials posted a video on social media, showing agents carrying the injured hiker to a helicopter. The victim, who sustained two gunshot wounds to his leg, was airlifted to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
— (@)
Border Patrol referred to the incident as an "attack on [a] U.S. citizen by suspected cartel terrorists."
"A group of U.S. citizens hiking in the Jacumba Wilderness in California was brutally attacked and strafed with gunfire by suspect cartel members in El Centro Sector's area of responsibility," Border Patrol's post read. "One victim was shot twice and robbed."
"These cartels think they can bring their war to American soil," the statement continued. "Let this serve as a WARNING: The El Centro Sector will not stand idly by. The safety of our citizens is NOT negotiable; cartel terrorists have no place in our country preying on the innocent. Enough is enough."
The post noted that the Border Patrol's Mobile Response Team, Tactical Unit, and Search, Trauma, and Rescue "were dispatched to the area to rescue the hikers, evacuate them, and neutralize any threats."
'How many more Americans have to be shot, trafficked, or killed before action is taken?'
"The American people will not retreat from this kind of terror," the Border Patrol's post concluded.
A Canadian citizen who was hiking with the group was shot at and robbed during the attack, according to a CBP press release. The individual was not wounded.
"He was here legally, visiting and out for a hike with his friends," a post from the El Centro Sector read. "He was shot at (uninjured) and later robbed after bravely staying at his wounded friend's side."
The assailants took the men's cell phones and backpacks.
El Centro Sector Chief Gregory Bovino said, "The wounded hiker is an 'I told you so moment' highlighting the importance of adequate infrastructure the Border Patrol has been championing for years now."
"Suspected cartel terrorists, however, are fixing to learn this type of conduct will be an end game type of activity here in the Premier Sector. All threats, anywhere, or at any time throughout this sector will be addressed vigorously," Bovino added.
According to NewsNation's Ali Bradley, the group of approximately 10 was reportedly walking at the Valley of the Moon, a hiking area in Jacumba Hot Springs. The trailhead is located in San Diego County, and the path extends into Imperial County.
"The hikers said the bandits were armed and were talking to them, but the hikers couldn't understand Spanish so the bandits started shooting into the air and then fired shots at the group, hitting the man in the leg," Bradley wrote in a post on X.
The suspects reportedly escaped Border Patrol agents, fleeing back to Mexico.
San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond told Blaze News that the violent attack was "yet another alarming example of the chaos at our southern border."
"When cartels and border bandits feel emboldened to cross into our country, attack innocent civilians, and retreat back into Mexico without consequence, it's clear that we do not have operational control of our border," Desmond stated. "American citizens should not have to fear for their lives while hiking in their own country."
"Our Border Patrol agents do an incredible job with the resources they have, but it's not enough," he continued. "The cartels are exploiting our open border and operating with near impunity. Until the border is fully secured, we need the National Guard and military stationed there to stop these violent criminals from preying on innocent people."
"How many more Americans have to be shot, trafficked, or killed before action is taken?" Desmond questioned.
Cory Gautereaux, a San Diego resident and the founder of the Goat Initiative, an organization dedicated to combatting human trafficking along the U.S.-Mexico border, told Blaze News that the hiking area where the incident occurred is "extremely remote."
"It used to be a very popular off-road, hiking, climbing area but not much in the last two to three years," he noted.
Gautereaux stated that he is "extremely happy to see 'the boys go to work.'"
"Meaning, we have had these specialized Border Patrol teams neutered by the last admin. It took a matter of days to show how fast they can react and what they are capable of once you let them loose," he said of the Border Patrol's emergency response teams.
Imperial County informed Blaze News that the "case is currently under the jurisdiction of the FBI," directing any questions to the federal agency.
'Are we trying to protect criminals or residents?'
When asked whether the incident is currently under investigation, FBI San Diego stated, "Based on longstanding DOJ policy, we cannot confirm or deny the existence of an investigation."
The agency also did not address whether the suspects were confirmed cartel terrorists.
California suburbs push back against liberal sanctuary policies
Officials in El Cajon, a city within San Diego County, moved to reject the state's and the county's sanctuary policies.
On January 28, Mayor Bill Wells introduced a resolution "to support federal deportation efforts for criminals, ensuring that those who break our laws and threaten our families are held accountable," according to an email statement sent to Blaze News.
The city council's agenda stated that the resolution aimed to provide clarity regarding the inconsistencies between state and federal immigration laws. It further declared El Cajon's "intent to ensure the public safety of all residents" and "intent to comply with federal immigration law to the legal extent permissible under SB 54 and other applicable laws to remove violent criminals from our community."
California's Senate Bill 54, signed into law by former Gov. Jerry Brown (D) in 2017, prohibits local officials from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
On Tuesday, El Cajon residents packed the city council meeting to voice their opinions on the mayor's resolution. The heated debate lasted five hours with more than 80 residents requesting to speak on the matter.
Gautereaux addressed the city council, asking, "Are we trying to protect criminals or residents?"
"Two weeks ago, I had a very informative, private dinner with Tom Homan. I will tell that he's coming. He's coming here to El Cajon," he said. "He knows how everyone's going to vote today. Let's make sure we do it right so when he comes to town, we can work with him and get the violent people out of this city."
Residents against the resolution argued that such a policy was inherently racist and discriminatory. Several residents, particularly those of color, claimed that with the Trump administration promising mass deportations, they felt forced to carry around documents proving their American citizenship.
One woman stated she told her father "to carry around his birth certificate because of potential deportation due to misguided profiling."
"I had to tell my mother to carry her naturalization papers," she added. "Why do I have to carry around my own birth certificate? I was born here."
"We're already scared to call the cops. Now, we're definitely not going to," she added.
The city's decision to consider the resolution followed a December determination by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to adopt a measure that effectively doubled down on the county's sanctuary status. The only dissenting vote was made by Supervisor Desmond, who opposed the county's "super" sanctuary status.
'The intent of this resolution is to deliberately sidestep the governor's efforts.'
Regarding his proposed resolution, Wells said, "For too long, California's Sanctuary State policies have protected illegal criminals at the expense of law-abiding citizens. These policies prevent local law enforcement from cooperating with federal authorities, allowing dangerous individuals to remain in our community and country. That must change."
"After meeting with border czar Tom Homan, it is clear that we must take action at the local level. I am proposing that our city will work with — not against — federal immigration enforcement to ensure that criminals who pose a risk to our residents are removed," he added.
On Tuesday evening, the El Cajon City Council voted 3-2 to reject Wells' resolution.
City council member Steve Goble, the swing vote, argued that he did not want El Cajon to become the center of political controversy like Huntington Beach.
Approximately 100 miles north in Orange County, city council members in Huntington Beach unanimously voted earlier this month to declare the Los Angeles suburb a "non-sanctuary city."
Huntington Beach Mayor Pat Burns stated that the resolution was "in the best interest of our community."
"The intent of this resolution is to deliberately sidestep the governor's [Gavin Newsom] efforts to subvert the good work of federal immigration authorities and to announce the city's cooperation with the federal government, the Trump administration, and border czar Tom Homan's work," the city's resolution read.
Further, Burns filed a lawsuit against California's SB 54, claiming that it "not only limits the ability of city officials ... to engage in fullest of effective law enforcement practices, but it directs city officials ... to violate U.S. federal immigration laws."
Trump admin moves to stop invasion
On Inauguration Day, just days before the attack on the group of hikers, President Donald Trump signed an executive order designating cartels "as foreign terrorist organizations."
The executive action read, "The cartels have engaged in a campaign of violence and terror throughout the Western hemisphere that has not only destabilized countries with significant importance for our national interests but also flooded the United States with deadly drugs, violent criminals, and vicious gangs."
"The cartels functionally control, through a campaign of assassination, terror, rape, and brute force nearly all illegal traffic across the southern border of the United States," it continued. "In certain portions of Mexico, they function as quasi-governmental entities, controlling nearly all aspects of society. The cartels' activities threaten the safety of the American people, the security of the United States, and the stability of the international order in the Western hemisphere. Their activities, proximity to, and incursions into the physical territory of the United States pose an unacceptable national security risk to the United States."
Also, as part of his day-one actions, the president declared the overwhelming number of illegal entries a national emergency in keeping with his promise to move swiftly to close down the southern border.
"Cartels control vast territories just south of our southern border, effectively controlling who can and cannot travel to the United States from Mexico," the order stated.
Just three days into his presidency, Trump signed another executive order to deploy 1,500 additional troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to assist Border Patrol agents with cracking down on illegal crossings.
The administration stated that the directive would deploy 1,000 Army personnel and 500 Marines to the southern border of California and Texas. The soldiers will be tasked with erecting border barriers to deter illegal entries.
There are already 2,500 soldiers stationed at the border.
An internal government memo obtained by CBS News revealed that the administration is weighing sending up to 10,000 active-duty military members.
Military personnel are not tasked with direct immigration enforcement; instead, they provide CBP with other assistance, which can include detection and monitoring, logistics, administrative, and mechanical support.
The document obtained by CBS News further stated that the Trump administration's Department of Defense "may" convert its bases into "holding facilities."
Trump has reportedly already successfully reduced the number of border crossings. On Sunday, bored encounters reached less than 600 people, with no sector experiencing more than 200, Fox News reported. For comparison, under former President Joe Biden, daily encounter peaks reached 11,000. Even in the final days of Biden's presidency, there were 1,200 to 1,400 daily.
Border czar Tom Homan has expressed a need for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to drastically increase the number of detention beds. ICE currently has 34,000 beds, but Homan hopes to secure at least 100,000.
The internal government memo stated that ICE has requested 14 new detention facilities with 1,000 beds each and four additional holding centers with 10,000 beds each.

No, America Wasn’t ‘Founded’ By Immigrants
Trump bolsters border security with 1,500 troops — also moves to block potential maritime migration threats
President Donald Trump is swiftly moving forward with his pledge to end the nation’s illegal immigration crisis by rolling out plans to deploy additional active-duty troops to the southern border, according to reports.
A United States official revealed to Fox News on Wednesday that the Trump administration’s Pentagon is preparing to disperse 1,500 troops to various locations along the U.S.-Mexico border.
'We will detect, deter, and interdict illegal migration, drug smuggling, and other terrorist or hostile activity before it reaches our border.'
It is not immediately clear which units will be sent or where they will be stationed. However, the administration is expected to release a formal announcement on Wednesday evening, according to the news outlet.
The U.S. official told Fox News that the additional troops will arrive by the end of the January.
In May 2023, former President Joe Biden stationed 2,500 military personnel at the southern border. Those troops will remain there until the end of fiscal year 2025, the news outlet reported.
Military personnel are not tasked with direct immigration enforcement. Instead, they provide Customs and Border Protection and other agencies with other support, including detection and monitoring, logistics, administrative, and mechanical.
Trump has also moved to secure the nation’s shorelines from potential maritime mass migration.
Adm. Kevin Lunday, the Coast Guard’s acting commandant, released a statement on Tuesday announcing “immediate action in support of” Trump’s presidential executive orders.
“The U.S. Coast Guard is the world’s premiere maritime law enforcement agency, vital to protecting America’s maritime borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Lunday said. “Per the president’s executive orders, I have directed my operational commanders to immediately surge assets — cutters, aircraft, boats, and deployable specialized forces — to increase Coast Guard presence and focus starting with the following key areas.”
Lunday explained that the Coast Guard’s presence has been increased in “the southeast U.S. border approaching Florida to deter and prevent a maritime mass migration from Haiti and/or Cuba.”
It has also enhanced its presence around Alaska, Hawaii, and several U.S. territories.
Additionally, the Coast Guard is protecting the areas between the south of Florida and the Bahamas, the U.S. and Mexico in the Pacific, Texas and Mexico in the Gulf of America, and “maritime portions of the southwest U.S. border.”
“Together, in coordination with our Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense teammates, we will detect, deter, and interdict illegal migration, drug smuggling, and other terrorist or hostile activity before it reaches our border,” the Coast Guard stated.

Kristi Noem vows to make border 'top priority' at DHS
During her opening statement at her confirmation hearing on Friday, Kristi Noem, President-elect Donald Trump's nominee to head the Department of Homeland Security, vowed to prioritize the long-neglected border crisis.
Under President Joe Biden's administration, there have been over 10 million nationwide encounters with illegal immigrants, ramping up crime and costing taxpayers billions of dollars.
'As a nation we have the right and responsibility to secure our borders against those who do us harm.'
"Being safe within our borders here in America is critical," Noem said in her opening statement. "And yet Americans feel less safe than they have felt in decades."
"President-elect Trump is going to change that," Noem added.
As Noem pointed out, the Biden administration's management of the border has left many Americans feeling unsafe. Because of the mismanagement, immigration was one of the top priorities for voters going into the 2024 election, resulting in Trump's overwhelming electoral victory on November 5.
"Border security must remain a top priority," Noem said. "As a nation we have the right and responsibility to secure our borders against those who do us harm. And we must create a fair and a lawful immigration system that is efficient and is effective and that reflects our values."
Noem also emphasized the importance of emboldening immigration agencies to ensure they have the proper resources to enforce the law.
"If confirmed as secretary, I'll ensure that our exceptional, extraordinary Border Patrol agents have all the tools and resources and support that they need to carry out their mission effectively," Noem said. "The same is true of my commitment to the outstanding men and women of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement."
"They are responsible for apprehending, detaining, and deporting illegal immigrants, and getting criminal aliens off of our streets and out of the country will help American communities to be safer again," Noem added. "The bravery and the dedication of the Border Patrol and ICE are unmatched, and I will restore dignity to their work."

GOP senators seek to close border fingerprinting loophole that leaves migrant children vulnerable to trafficking
Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley from Iowa and Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee introduced legislation on Tuesday that would close a loophole that leaves some migrant children vulnerable to trafficking at the border.
Current Department of Homeland Security regulations prevent Customs and Border Protection agents from collecting biometric data on children under 14 years old.
'We are witnessing a devastating humanitarian crisis, and children are the primary victims.'
"As the regulations currently exempt certain aliens from the collection of biometrics, including those under 14 and over 79, as well as individuals in certain visa classes, CBP does not use fingerprints to confirm the traveler's identity in these cases," the DHS stated.
The regulation came under fire after it was revealed that the Biden administration's Department of Health and Human Services lost track of 85,000 unaccompanied migrant children. The HHS' Office of Refugee Resettlement is tasked with placing unaccompanied minors with sponsors in the United States.
However, a February 2023 New York Times report, based on testimony provided by HHS whistleblower Tara Rodas, revealed that the federal government "lost immediate contact" with tens of thousands of children. The scandal ignited concerns that the children had been placed with potential child traffickers and criminals.
With biometric data not collected, some have argued that it will make it more difficult to find and identify the lost children.
On Tuesday, Grassley and Blackburn introduced the Preventing the Recycling of Immigrants Is Necessary for Trafficking Suspension Act, also referred to as PRINTS.
If passed, the legislation would authorize CBP to fingerprint foreign nationals under 14 years old. The U.S. attorney general would be prevented from waiving these requirements.
The bill also requires the DHS to submit additional reporting, including disclosing the number of apprehended child traffickers who deceptively claimed to be related to an accompanying child, also referred to as "recycling," and providing an annual log to Congress detailing the number of fingerprinted children.
Furthermore, the proposed bill would make "child recycling" a crime. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported in 2019 that it identified 900 children who were victims of the scheme.
Additional co-sponsors of the bill include Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy from Louisiana, Steve Daines from Montana, Joni Ernst from Iowa, John Hoeven from North Dakota, Cindy Hyde-Smith from Mississippi, Tim Sheehy from Montana, and Mike Rounds from South Dakota.
Grassley stated, "Over the last four years, child exploitation at our nation's southern border has exploded. This humanitarian crisis is a direct result of the Biden administration's open border policies."
"The PRINTS Act would empower law enforcement to identify victims of child trafficking and stamp out this horrific abuse. Congress must act quickly to protect vulnerable children and begin to undo the damage of the Biden administration," he said.
"Under President Biden's open border policies, we are witnessing a devastating humanitarian crisis, and children are the primary victims," Blackburn stated. "Abusing and using a child again and again is one of the most heinous acts imaginable, and yet it happens every day along the southern border. Empowering border patrol agents to fingerprint noncitizens under the age of 14 would give them the tools they need to identify victims of child recycling and stop this abuse in its tracks. Given that the Biden administration carelessly lost track of 85,000 migrant children, passing this legislation could not be more critical."
