Biden just promised never to let an election be stolen 'AGAIN' — so which election was stolen?

For nearly two years now, we've been told that people who question our election integrity are a "threat to our democracy" and anyone who says otherwise is just leading the American people "down this path of lies." It was strange then, that President Joe Biden told a group of rallygoers in Maryland on Thursday that Democrats have plans to "make sure no one, no one, ever has the opportunity to steal an election again." [Emphasis added.]

"If we elect two more senators, we keep the House and Democrats, we’re going to get a lot of unfinished business we’re going to get done. Folks, look, we’ll codify Roe v. Wade. We’ll ban, we’ll ban assault weapons. We’ll protect Social Security and Medicare. We’ll pass universal pre-K. We’ll restore the Childcare Tax Credit. We’ll protect voting rights. We’ll pass election reform and make sure no one, no one, ever has the opportunity to steal an election again!" Biden declared.

After Breaking911 posted a clip highlighting Biden's promise to ban "assault weapons," a few people on Twitter noticed something strange about the last word of that last sentence.

\u201cBiden just said..."make sure no one, no one, ever has the opportunity to steal an election again". \n\nHaven't we been told for the past 2 years that elections were secure, safe, and beyond corruption?\u201d

'Milk’s favorite cookie' panned after going all in with woke LGBT coming-out ad: 'Your cookie must affirm your sexual lifestyle'

Oreo prompted conservatives on Twitter to roll their eyes this week after double-dipping into the world of hot-button socio-political issues yet again with a new ad urging people to be lifelong supporters of the LGBT lifestyle.

What are the details?

The two-and-a-half-minute short film, called "The Note," featured a young Asian man nervously reading a coming-out note to his immediate family as he prepares to share the news of his sexuality with his extended family.

The tense scene concludes with the young man's mother encouraging her dispirited son. "She might be my mother, but you are my son," she adds to the bottom of the note.

"Coming out doesn’t happen just once. It’s a journey that needs love and courage every step of the way,” Oreo said in a tweet along with the video, adding, "Share our new film and let someone know you’re their #LifelongAlly."

It's not the first time that "milk's favorite cookie" has delved into political waters. Earlier this year, the Nabisco brand inserted itself into the national conversation around transgender issues when it tweeted, "Trans people exist." Before that, it released another short film about a lesbian couple coming out to parents.

To onlookers, it seems that the company prides itself on being outspoken on issues completely unrelated to cookies.

But in an interview with Fast Company, Oreo senior brand manager Olympia Portale insisted the forced marketing message was a "natural place" for the company to go, given its notoriety as a "family brand."

"'The Note' is not Oreo’s story," she explained, though going on to say, "Oreo is there to lend our megaphone to the community we want to support. To illustrate the message we, as a brand, want to stand behind is a great place to start."

How are people reacting?

Conservatives on Twitter and elsewhere responded with chagrin after being force-fed the woke messaging.

"Sexuality has NOTHING TO DO with the cookie experience," tweeted Newsmax host Greg Kelly. "Basically cookies are 'asexual' — why is the WOKE LEFT messing around with OREOS?!?! STOP THE INSANITY."

COOKIE! I love COOKIES. C is for COOKIE. COOKIE IS FOR ME. I do NOT like GAY COOKIES. "Sexuality" has NOTHING TO DO with the Cookie experience. Cookies are for ALL! Basically Cookies are "asexual"---why is the WOKE LEFT messing around with OREOS?!?! STOP THE INSANITYpic.twitter.com/TS3k5M4LQv

"What on earth does this have to do with cookies?" added Tommy Joe Ratliff.

Blaze Media's Jessica O'Donnell quipped: "Finally this ad is made. I wasn’t sure what to do. I felt so guilty eating a cookie because I wasn’t sure what its stance on LGBT issues was."

LiveAction's Lila Rose stated, "Stop sexualizing children, @oreo."

"Your cookie must affirm your sexual lifestyle," the Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro said. "Again, the chief reply here seems to be: 'How dare you notice that a cookie company is now running ads on sexual orientation?' Guys, the story is that every woke corporation now believes it must become an activist LGBTQIA+-%6& outlet. And yes, that's a story."

Writing for the Daily Signal, columnist Nicole Russell asserted, "LGBT activists complain about being caught in the middle of the culture war, even as they fuel the controversy at every turn, even rendering cookies like Oreos woke."

Texas Democrats Do Not Accept Resignation Of Chair Who Called Sen. Tim Scott An ‘Oreo’

The Lamar County Democratic Party also reaffirmed their commitment to anti-racism

Texas Democratic official faces demands to resign after calling Sen. Tim Scott racial slur

A Texas Democratic official is facing widespread backlash and demands for his immediate resignation after he disparaged Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) with what is being characterized as a racial slur.

Democrats lashed out at Scott last week after he declared that America is "not a racist country."

What did the Democrat say?

Reacting to Scott absolving America from being inherently racist, Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O'Connor called Scott an "oreo" in a now-deleted Facebook post, Fox News reported.

"I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles," O'Connor wrote.

By calling Scott an "oreo," O'Connor was suggesting that Scott — the lone black U.S. senator — is black on the outside, but white on the inside.

What was the reaction?

Texas Rep. Pat Fallon (R), whose congressional district includes Lamar County, rebuked O'Connor for his "racist behavior," and called on him to immediately resign from his leadership position.

"Gary O'Connor's comment against Senator Tim Scott is abhorrent, insulting, and unforgivable. Both he and the entire Lamar County Democratic Party should be ashamed of this racist behavior," Fallon said in a statement. "O'Connor must apologize and step down immediately."

"Additionally, I call on both the Democratic Party of Texas and the NAACP to condemn these words, and the state party should take swift action to censure him," he added. "This kind of behavior is not tolerable in Texas, the United States, or any political party."

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) had a similar reaction.

"This is disgusting, hateful, and completely unacceptable. O'Connor must apologize to @SenatorTimScott & step down immediately. @texasdemocrats censure him," Abbott said on Saturday.

Anything else?

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris did not receive similar condemnation from O'Connor, despite both Democratic leaders expressing agreement with Scott's statement.

"I don't think the American people are racist," Biden said last week. "I don't think America is racist, but I think the overhang from all of the Jim Crow — and before that, slavery — have had a cost, and we have to deal with it."

"No. I don't think America is a racist country," Harris said, 'but we also do have to speak truth about the history of racism in our country and its existence today.

Oreo cookie ridiculed for 'pandering' tweet about trans people: 'Stunning and brave'

In the political arena, transgender topics made headlines Thursday. The House voted to pass the Equality Act, which would add sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. However, critics argue that the bill puts biologically female student-athletes at an unfair disadvantage and could even be potentially dangerous for young girls.

Also on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) grilled President Joe Biden's nominee for assistant secretary of health, Dr. Rachel Levine, over children undergoing life-altering sex change operations.

Oreos, the creme-filled cookie, decided it was necessary to enlighten the world with its stance on transgendered individuals.

The official Twitter account for Oreo cookies, which has nearly 1 million followers, tweeted: "Trans people exist."

The tweet from the snack brand quickly went viral, racking up over 400,000 likes since it was posted on Thursday afternoon. Soon "Oreos" was trending on Twitter under the topic of "politics."

The cookie brand received backlash for spouting identity politics, many ridiculing Oreos for being "stunning and brave."

BlazeTV personality and host of "The News and Why It Matters" Sara Gonzales simply wrote, "You're a cookie."

Twitter users dunked on the cookie company for its woke tweet by insisting that the brand "Just make cookies, please."

One user asked, "When did y'all start double-stuffing your politics down our throats?"

Others suggested that the cookie brand make donations to trans charities if it is truly concerned about transgendered people.

Fox News Channel contributor Lisa Booth reacted by saying, "Why even take a political stance on this? This is why America is so divided. Even cookies have to be divisive."

Conservative activist Melissa Tate responded, "Thanks captain obvious. Their existence is not in question. The question we are asking is should biological men be displacing women & girls like in sport, trampling on our rights & our existence as women."

Journalist Michael Tracey posted, "Evidently a Zoom meeting was held where somebody said something to the effect of: 'Our emerging customer base wants their gender identities validated by a mass-produced cream-filled cookie product.'"

Commenters said the company was "using trans rights as marketing" and accused the brand of "pandering."

Political cartoonist Stonetoss Comics lampooned the tweet, while another posted a meme with fellow cookie company Pepperidge Farm.

Many users noted that Oreos is owned by snack food behemoth Mondelez International, which has enjoyed making at least $26 billion in profits every year since at least 2008. Some noted that the human rights group International Rights Advocates filed a federal class-action lawsuit against Mondelez and six other big-name chocolate makers in 2019, alleging the corporations were complicit in child trafficking and forced child labor. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of eight Malian men who claim they were forced to harvest cocoa in the Ivory Coast after being trafficked as children.

Many of the biggest chocolate companies in the world signed a pledge in 2001 to eradicate "the worst forms of child labor" from their West African cocoa suppliers. Mondelez did not sign the pledge.

"Other companies that were not signatories, such as Mondelez and Godiva, also have taken such steps, but likewise would not guarantee that any of their products were free of child labor," the Washington Post reported in 2019.

Mondelez said it is committed to eliminating child labor with several initiatives, including a strategy to "empower communities to advocate for their own development" and "empower women at household and community level."

Other Twitter users pointed out that the environmental activist group Greenpeace accused Oreos of not doing enough to curb deforestation in 2018.

"The makers of Oreo, Mondelez, still buys its palm oil from the world's largest and dirtiest palm oil trader in the world: Wilmar," a statement from Greenpeace read. "Its palm oil is associated to several of the suppliers linked to forest destruction and human right abuses in Indonesia."

Mondelez responded to the Greenpeace accusations by announcing plans to address deforestation in Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and Indonesia with a program called "Cocoa Life."

"Our plans to combat deforestation in cocoa include a commitment to map 100% of the farms that supply Mondelēz International's Cocoa Life program by the end of 2019," said Cedric van Cutsem, Associate Director, Operations, Cocoa Life. "Mapping and monitoring farms will give us a deeper understanding of farmers' needs so we can help drive effective change. In addition, our plans include financial incentives that will encourage farmers and communities to protect and renew forest areas."

Others highlighted the fact that Hydrox created its chocolate sandwich cookie with a creamy center in 1908, by what was Sunshine Biscuits at the time, four years before Oreos made its copycat cookie.
