Meet the socialist rapper who might be NYC’s next mayor

Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani is one step closer to becoming the first Muslim mayor of New York City after former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) conceded Tuesday night, telling supporters at an election-night gathering that Mamdani “won.”

“This is important for New Yorkers to understand what’s happening here. You’re about to elect a dyed-in-the-wool socialist who actually wants to bring socialism to New York City, and he’s telling you right up front,” BlazeTV host Pat Gray comments.

Mamdani, who is a socialist rapper turned politician, has even proposed government-run grocery stores.

“Grocery prices are out of control. The cost of eggs and milk has skyrocketed. Some stores are even using dynamic pricing, jacking up the cost over the course of a day depending on what they can get away with. It doesn't need to be this way,” he said in a video posted to social media.

“I will create a network of city-owned grocery stores. It’s like a public option for produce. We will redirect city funds from corporate supermarkets to city-owned grocery stores whose mission is lower prices, not price gouging,” he continued.

“These stores will operate without a profit motive or having to pay property taxes or rent, and will pass on those savings to you,” he added.

“Good luck,” Gray says, astonished. “At least with Cuomo, you know what you’re getting, and it’s not going to be good, but it’s not that disaster.”

Is the FBI still spying on this whistleblower? Hear his creepy story

At one point, FBI whistleblower Steve Friend assumed the FBI was a force for good.

“I’ve come around to the idea that it’s always been wrong, it’s always been about preserving the status quo and going after who the political enemies were,” Friend tells BlazeTV host Pat Gray on “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

Friend tells Gray that communists have been “able to infiltrate the organization,” which is why “we’ve seen them particularly recently devolve their national security mission away from going after legitimate threat actors.”

“Now, they have this responsibility of rooting out terrorism here, but we’re going to change the message of terrorism. It’s not going to be the people who subscribe to a foreign ideology that says, ‘We’re going to engage in a violent activity to bring about political unrest and fear so we can get the changes we want,’” he continues.

“Instead we're going to say, ‘Well, it’s a homegrown violent extremist or a domestic violent extremist or an anti-government, anti-authority, violent extremist.’ And eventually, it's a nihilistic violent extremist, someone who doesn’t have an ideology at all,” he adds.

Because the greatest threat to the government as an entity are those who believe in a smaller government — those are the people who the FBI goes after now. And Friend, unfortunately, is one of them.

“A couple of nights ago, my phone on silent, do not disturb, all apps closed down, on a charger, alerted me and my wife when it started playing the placeholder video for my podcast,” he tells Gray. “Lo and behold, the next day, all my access to the Justice Department, www.justice.gov, website access denied. And then actually, last night, my phone started to chirp and woke us both up.”

“So I want to be on record that if there’s any sort of remote shenanigans that are happening with my devices, that’s not because I have any incriminating material I put on,” he continues, noting that the sound that came from his phone was one he’s “never heard before.”

Drunk on air? Former intelligence officer pulled off live TV

During Fox News' coverage of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade, contributor and former Defense Intelligence Officer Rebekah Koffler appeared on air with slurred speech and exaggerated gestures, leading viewers to speculate she was intoxicated.

In a now deleted post on X, Koffler wrote prior to the interview, “Well @POTUS is apparently encroaching on my airtime! My hit is moved to 8:20-8:30 pm depending on how long #Trump takes. I’m honored. Refilling my #champagne glass while waiting for my hit!”

Accompanying the sentiment was a photo of a bottle of champagne.

When she was asked on air what her thoughts were on the “incredible symbolism” and “messaging” of the event, her response was almost unintelligible.

“I’m so excited, Emily and Lucas Tomlinson,” Koffler said to Fox News anchors Emily Compagno and Lawrence Jones. “Everybody, like, this is incredible! Finally, the United States is back! I want to really thank all of our Army, Navy, and Air Force officers who’ve been sacrificing their lives, literally. Their families have been contributing to the mission.”

“With our new commander in chief, Donald J. Trump, they are prioritizing America first. And I want to thank these officers for all of their sacrifices and all of the hardships that their families have endured,” she continued, adding, “Lawrence Jones, you’re doing ... you’re rocking, man!”

Her segment then ended when the Fox and Friends hosts cut her off and quickly went to a commercial break.

Koffler claimed she was simply having an audio issue, but BlazeTV host Pat Gray isn’t buying it.

“I say she was drunk,” Gray says on “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger goes full patriot on ‘The View,’ derails Joy Behar’s anti-ICE ambush

On June 17, Arnold Schwarzenegger braved the coven that is ABC’s “The View.” Joy Behar tried to snare him with a question about ICE raids, but it didn’t go in the America-hating direction she hoped it would. In fact, it went in the completely opposite direction.

Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” plays the clip of the Terminator’s epic pro-America speech.

“You're an immigrant in this country. Did you have a visceral reaction to what [ICE is] doing?” Behar asked.

“I'm so proud and happy that I was embraced by the American people,” Schwarzenegger responded. “I came over here at the age of 21 with absolutely nothing. And then to create a career like that — I mean, in no other country in the world could you do that.”

“My bodybuilding career … my acting career, becoming governor, the beautiful family that I have created — all of this is because of America,” he continued. “This is the greatest country in the world, and it is the land of opportunity.”

Schwarzenegger then announced that he will be giving the keynote speech at Mount Vernon on July 4 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America. The event will include a naturalization ceremony — a formal rite of passage in which legal immigrants who have met the requirements to become U.S. citizens take the Oath of Allegiance, officially granting them U.S. citizenship. During the ceremony, these new citizens pledge loyalty to the United States, renounce allegiance to foreign governments, and agree to uphold the Constitution.

Schwarzenegger made it crystal clear that he loves this ceremony. “It's really a great, great celebration, and this is what this is all about — to celebrate people becoming Americans and coming to America,” he said.

All this while, the panel was politely nodding along, occasionally adding a “that’s true” or a “that’s great.” But then Schwarzenegger said something that caused their countenances to visibly sour.

“But the key thing also is at the same time, we got to do things legal,” he said. “Those people that are doing illegal things in America and the foreigners, they are not smart.”

“When you come to America, you’re a guest, and you have to behave like a guest. Like when I go to someone’s house and I’m a guest, then I will do everything I can to keep things clean … and do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive,” he continued.

That’s when Sunny Hostin placed her manicured, heavily ringed hand on his arm as if to say, “All right, honey, don’t go there.”

But he would not be deterred. “The important thing is when you become an immigrant to think about: Okay, I go to America because I want to use America for the great opportunities that America has in education, in jobs, creating a family. … Then I have to give something back,” he said, arguing that immigrants “have a responsibility … to give back to America.”

They “didn't expect conservative Arnold from 30 years ago”; they wanted “‘screw your freedom’ from five years ago,” says Pat.

To see the footage of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s patriotic speech that left “The View’s” hosts deeply uncomfortable, watch the video above.

The plot thickens: No Kings flyers found in Minnesota suspect's car

The Minnesota man who is suspected of killing a Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband was caught by police hiding in a rural field, but who he is and possible motives only get murkier as more information is revealed.

Vance Boelter also allegedly took the life of the Hortmans' golden retriever, Gilbert; shot Democratic state Senator John Hoffman and his wife in their home; and had stacks of No Kings flyers that were recovered in his car. While some have claimed that Boelter was a Trump supporter, the discovered flyers, which simply said “No Kings,” in reference to the nationwide anti-Trump protests, have caused some confusion.

“I mean, none of this makes any sense,” BlazeTV host Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” comments. “Nobody knows necessarily his motivation. They are calling it political.”

The last time Boelter is known to have been a registered Republican was over 20 years ago in Oklahoma.

But it gets weirder, as Boelter is married, but he has a roommate.

“How is he married, and he has a roommate? I don’t understand this situation. His roommate says he was a big Trump supporter,” Gray explains, noting that his wife was found with passports, food, cash and a loaded-up car.

“Was he going to abandon the roommate and take off with his wife?” Gray asks, dumbfounded, though he does know one thing. “I think we have an idea what kind of guy he is: a psycho murdering kind of guy.”

“Man, what a weird situation,” he adds.

Keith Malinak notes that even stranger, Hortman recently cast a vote that caused issues between her and her own party.

“She’s the one that crossed party lines to go and vote and stop this health care for illegals in Minnesota, which is strange because she’s really extreme left on many issues,” Malinak says.

USA Today defends Simone Biles in Riley Gaines feud

Former swimmer Riley Gaines has proven herself to be a fierce advocate for women in sports, and her reaction to a Minnesota high school softball team’s championship win sparked a massive debate on social media.

Gaines alleged the transgender pitcher, Marissa Rothenberger, gave the team an unfair advantage.

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles doesn’t share Gaines’ concern.

“@Riley_Gaines_ You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight-up sore loser,” Biles wrote in a post on X. “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!!”

“But instead ... You bully them ... One thing’s for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around,” she added.

“This is actually so disappointing. It's not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces. You can uplift men stealing championships in women's sports with YOUR platform. Men don't belong in women's sports and I say that with my full chest,” Gaines responded.

USA Today appears to be taking Biles' side in the debate, with one of its columnists Nancy Armour defending Biles, claiming in an opinion piece that there’s “no scientific evidence that transgender women athletes have a physical advantage over cisgender women athletes.”

And while the statement appears silly to anyone who understands the very real difference of strength between men and women, very few important voices are willing to die on that hill in the midst of cancel culture.

Which is why it was over a decade ago that Serena Williams publicly admitted to the difference.

“Men’s tennis and women’s tennis are completely almost two separate sports. So like if I were to play Andy Murray, I would lose 6-0, 6-0, in five to six minutes, maybe 10 minutes,” Williams said on the "Late Show with David Letterman" in 2013. “The men are a lot faster, and they serve hotter, they hit harder. It’s just a different game.”

BlazeTV host Pat Gray is shocked to hear it from Williams.

“That is from the number one women’s player in the world,” Gray says on “Pat Gray Unleashed.” “And she knows all of that because she got beat by the 203rd ranked man in the world when she was at the top of her game.”

Space cadet Katy Perry claims California belongs to Mexico

Celebrities have always been the voice of reason when it comes to political issues abroad and at home, and Katy Perry is no exception.

The pop star, who recently made headlines for feeling “battered and bruised” after being mocked for her flight to space, decided to take a stand on social media for the people of Mexico.

"Los Angeles has lived under three flags: Spain, Mexico, and the United States. That land has seen borders shift, power change hands, and yet the people, especially the brown and indigenous people, have always been there. Planting roots, building lives, raising families,” Perry said in a post on social media.

“And now, in 2025 the descendants of those same communities are being hunted, like criminals in their own ancestral home,” the pop star added.

“She talked about the original name of the city of Los Angeles to suggest that the protests were all justified,” BlazeTV host Pat Gray comments on “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

Perry also claimed Los Angeles was “founded by Mexican settlers in 1781” and that the city was built on “Mexican labor, Mexican history, and Mexican culture.”

“That’s not what happened there, pudding,” Gray laughs. “That’s not history. What is history, of course, is that not only was Mexico Spanish territory for almost 400 years, but in the case of Texas, it was only ever Mexican territory for 15 years.”

“In California, it was under 30 years of Mexican rule. Spain had it before that. Second, not only did we gain that territory through a very legitimate war, the way virtually every nation on this planet has gained the territory they have now, but they attacked us, repeatedly, across the Texas border, until President Polk finally said, ‘Okay let’s end this nonsense. Send the troops in,’” he continues.

“And when that happened, we routed their military so completely that we pushed them all the way back past Mexico City, we drove all the way through their nation, and took their capital city. And then, of course, out of the goodness of our American hearts, we gave them back all the Mexican territory from Mexico City, all the way to the border, the current border, with the United States,” he says, adding, “and we threw in an extra $15 million for land on top of it. We didn’t have to do that.”

Football over Pride: Why the NFL SHOULD stick to the game

Pride Month is here yet again, and the NFL is under fire for an old 2021 advertisement campaign that proudly declares, “Football is gay.”

In the ad, white letters on a black background spell out, “Football is gay,” before the word "gay" is replaced with words including "lesbian," "beautiful," "queer," "transgender," "power," and "life."

At the end of the video, the screen reads, “Football is for everyone.”

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took issue with the ad, which was circulating on X to kick off this year’s Pride Month.

“Football is gay. Football is queer. Football is transgender ... these are wild statements to make ... excuse my silliness,” Bryant wrote, clearly unimpressed with the NFL’s decision to bring sexuality into his beloved sport.

“I’m going to proudly tell my boys football is none of these things. I have nothing against gays but this is far from right,” he continued. “It’s gay players in the NFL ... but forcing it in people’s faces ... especially children ... can send the wrong message. ... Football is a real community, like the gay community. Imagine telling gays they have to advocate for straight people ... they probably would have a problem.”

“That’s kind of bold,” BlazeTV host Pat Gray says on “Pat Gray Unleashed,” though he wholeheartedly agrees with Bryant.

“Welcome to the gay, queer, trans, inclusive NFL,” he continues, mocking the ad.

WATCH: Stephen A. Smith slams Karine Jean-Pierre’s new book as ‘Original Sin’ sequel

In a move that shocked the political establishment, the former White House press secretary under Joe Biden, Karine Jean-Pierre, left the Democratic Party and registered as an independent in tandem with the launch of her new book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” set for release in October 2025.

Given her high-profile role and her loyalty to the Biden administration — even when it meant blatantly lying to the public — her departure from the Democratic Party and her upcoming exposé have drawn sharp criticism from people on the left, who feel betrayed, and on the right, who see her move as nothing more than opportunism.

Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” laughs at what is clearly a copycat move of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s tell-all book, “Original Sin.” Like Tapper specifically, Jean-Pierre is now attempting to profit off the narrative that she played a key role in suppressing.

Pat calls her book “part two of ‘Original Sin.’”

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith certainly saw it that way too.

On a recent episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Smith lambasted Jean-Pierre for lying about Biden’s deteriorating cognitive state, only to reverse course to make a profit.

Pat plays the clip of his epic tirade.

“You were not the White House press secretary when you were on ‘The View’ spewing the same stuff you had spewed when you were the White House press secretary. ... You didn’t have to do that, but you chose to,” Smith said, referencing Jean-Pierre’s March 4 appearance during which she continued to defend the narrative that Biden was mentally sharp.

“So what the book's going to tell us? ... Is the book going to be an extension of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book, ‘Original Sin’ — yet another Democrat coming out and telling us about stuff that a whole bunch of stuff on the right was telling us, but y'all swore we shouldn't listen to?” he asked, inviting Jean-Pierre to come on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” and explain her opportunistic timing and why she continued to lie following her White House exit.

“He’s right,” says Pat.

Weaponized lies? 2-year-old’s deportation used as anti-Trump propaganda

When it comes to immigration, the mainstream narrative portrays the Trump administration as callously prioritizing enforcement over empathy — and it’s no different when it comes to the case of a 2-year-old U.S. citizen born in Florida.

The 2-year-old, Emanuelly “Manu” Borges Santos, was deported to Brazil in February 2025 alongside her undocumented parents, who were facing a deportation order since December 2022.

“It was her illegal alien mother and father who were deported; they just happened to take their daughter with them,” BlazeTV host Pat Gray says on “Pat Gray Unleashed.” “I guess you don’t deport anybody who has children.”

“I mean, you make a decision to enter the country illegally, then there are going to be consequences that maybe you don’t foresee, and here we are,” Keith Malinak chimes in.

But that hasn’t stopped the liberal media from blasting the Trump administration in support of these illegal immigrants.

“You’ve got the backing of publications like the Washington Post to provide you cover and try to make the American government look like they’re really super mean and just unfeeling and uncaring and evil and oppressive,” Gray says.

The Washington Post has also claimed that the young girl no longer has a country — but the Brazilian government has made “Manu” a temporary citizen until she turns 18.

“It’s a complete lie,” Malinak says.

“It’s just a bash-Trump story; that’s all this is,” Gray adds.
