Unpaid bill has Foxboro refusing to grant license for World Cup games at Gillette Stadium

The home of the New England Patriots is standing strong until it gets paid.

Foxboro, Massachusetts, is set to host seven World Cup matches this summer at Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots play. However, the Boston-area organizing committee for the World Cup has not come up with the money yet.

'All we're trying to do is protect our citizens.'

Representatives from Boston 26, the host city initiative for the World Cup, met in Foxboro this week, where they received a lashing from city officials over the mysteriously absent funding.

"I'm shocked you're not sitting here in front of us right now saying, 'We got the money for ya,'" Foxboro Select Board Member Mark Elfman told the soccer officials on Tuesday.

Board members said they would not grant an entertainment license for the World Cup games until the organizers could put up the money needed for event and security fees, which is a reported $7 million, according to WHDH- TV.

The host committee says it is not at fault, but rather the federal government has simply yet to pay.

"This task force is working on a daily basis to work with DHS and FEMA on that," Mike Loynd, CEO of Boston 26, told reporters. "I don't think I can say anything more about that. We're being told that it's, you know, it's expected any day now."

Select Board Member Bill Yukna described the World Cup games as the "equivalent of seven Super Bowls" over 39 days, requiring security for the stadium every single day throughout the event.

"All we're trying to do is protect our citizens," Yukna added.

Select Board Vice Chair Stephanie McGowan was more direct with the soccer officials, saying the small city of about 18,000 cannot simply front the millions of dollars required.

"We're not prepared to issue this license unless everything is in place," McGowan said, per WHDH. "I've seen people saying, 'Oh, there’s no way, they won't.' I’m going to tell you, this board will not issue this license," she affirmed.

Sixteen venues are scheduled to host games for the 2026 World Cup, the most ever for a single tournament, according to Fox Sports.

Along with two venues in Canada and three in Mexico, 10 other U.S. stadiums are scheduled to host games: Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta; AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; NRG Stadium in Houston; SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles; Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri; Hard Rock Stadium in Miami; MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia; Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California; and Lumen Field in Seattle.

The select board will meet again on March 3, and the deadline to issue the license is March 17.

NOT ON OUR WATCH: Patriots stand up to Antifa in Portland

The city of Portland, Oregon, is allegedly being taken over again by blue-haired Antifa leftists — but of course, officials are claiming that everything is fine.

“Portland is not war-ravaged. There’s no insurrection. There’s no threat to national security, and there’s no need for military troops. Military service members should be dedicated to real emergencies,” Oregon Governor Tina Kotek (D) said in a promotional video.

“It’s like, this is the meme,” BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales jokes. “This is literally the ‘everything is fine’ meme. We’re seeing the fire, the fireworks, the Molotov cocktails, the tear gas dispersed, and governor of Oregon says, ‘Everything’s fine.’”

Meanwhile, Antifa has been leading the state through months of unrest — and tax-paying American citizens have had enough of the gaslighting from their local government.

“When you see that Democrat-run cities will not actually handle things, will not actually address things, patriots in this country decided, you know what, we’re going to show up instead,” Gonzales explains, referring to a clip of young men who tried to drown out Antifa by chanting “USA.”

“And you’ve got even more patriots showing up saying, ‘You know what? We’re going to challenge the city of Portland, but we’re going to do it in a respectful, constitutional way. You want to allow Antifa to take over the sidewalks with their medic tents? What happens when we do the same thing?’” she continues.

The host of the “Speak the Truth” podcast, Matt Tardio, is among the patriots standing up to the Oregon government — and he recorded a clip of himself pointing out the “medic tents” that Antifa has set up all over the streets.

“Here’s what we’re going to do, because the Portland police, I don’t think it matters if you want to walk down the street. Antifa is allowed to own this side of the street over here. These are alleged medic tents. So, this is what we’re going to do tomorrow,” Tardio said in the clip.

“This side of the street is going to belong to us because apparently you can just claim sidewalks in Portland as your own and prevent anybody from moving down them. So, my curiosity is simply whether or not we are going to be held to the same standard as Antifa,” he continued.

“Obviously, this should never happen in an American city,” Gonzales comments. “Unfortunately, that is Portland, Oregon, in 2025.”

'Do referees drop footballs?' Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman says claims the NFL is rigged are 'a bunch of baloney'

Three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman said players can't blame referees for their own mistakes on the gridiron.

Edelman made appearances on a series of shows this week and was asked almost unanimously to compare his experience with the New England Patriots and Tom Brady with the treatment Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are getting.

The internet has been burning with claims of rigged games, faulty calls, and crooked referees that have helped the Chiefs reach their third straight Super Bowl.

On "The Jim Rome Show," Edelman was asked if the claims and complaints reminded him of criticism the Patriots received about Brady receiving favoritism from referees.

"What's your reaction, Julian, to the way people are absolutely losing their minds on social media?" Rome asked.

"I got a question for you. Do referees drop footballs?" Edelman retorted. "Do referees go for fourth downs over and over with the same play and get stuffed? Do they throw interceptions?"

As he did on multiple programs, Edelman revealed that every team has a "scouting report on each one, all these referees, and you know who's a tight crew, who's not a tight crew."

Edelman told Rome, "I think all the people that keep on coming out saying it's the referees, if you got a problem with it, go out and beat them."

'The refs aren't involved in when you throw interceptions.'

On the "Rich Eisen Show," Edelman said that "when you're on top, everyone wants to try to bring you down."

The former wide receiver went on to say the claim that referees are rigging the game is "a bunch of baloney" and again blamed poor execution for the reason Kansas City's opponents are choking.

Edelman quoted his legendary coach in New England, Bill Belichick, several times throughout interviews and said, "Do business as business as being done" with the referees.

"The refs aren't involved in when you throw interceptions, when you fumble the ball, when you jump offsides, when you don't convert third down or fourth down, or third and fourth down for short, four times. They can't control that," he continued.

Edelman was likely referring to the Buffalo Bills' AFC championship loss to the Chiefs, in which they were stopped several times when executing some of their signature plays.

The Super Bowl MVP later chalked up Mahomes' success to playing "mistake-free football" time and time again. On top of that, Edelman claimed a lot of teams are playing risky and sloppy football, resulting in penalties, turnovers, and abandoning their game plan.

"That ain't [the refs]. That's you," he said.

The Chiefs will look to win their third straight Super Bowl on February 9 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles' most recent Super Bowl win came at Super Bowl LII in 2018, a 41-33 win over the Patriots.

Unraveling Jerusalem's complex history: Levin explores Israel's ancient roots as Iran attacks

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Mark Levin of “LevinTV” flew across the world into a war zone — and was with his family as Iran shot missiles and flew drones into Israel.

And the response from the American government was not what Levin was hoping for.

“Biden puts out a statement late, that, ‘Okay, it was a massive success for Israel and the United States because our defense systems work.’ The hell is that? Any country that shoots 300 spitballs at another country is committing an act of war,” Levin says.

“Now, this is a Biden who funds the enemy, who arms the enemy, who then funds and arms their surrogate terrorists,” he continues, adding, “Israel’s now under the thumb of the most incompetent, stupid president."

While Israel’s existence is a contentious topic for many misled Americans, Rabbi Ken Spiro is not one of them — and from within the walls of Jerusalem, he dove deep into the historical and spiritual legacy of Judaism in Israel.

“We have this temple up here. This is the holiest spot for Judaism,” Levin says to Spiro. “So why is there a Muslim mosque on the holiest site of Judaism? How did that happen?”

“Around 500 years after our temple was destroyed, Islam became a world dominant religion. And when they came over here, they built it right on our center. Some say that in Islam, they like when they conquer a certain place to sort of erase the past history and claim it as their place,” Spiro explains.

“So how is it that their temple became, what, their third-holiest site, which is on the Jewish holiest site that has been the Jewish holiest site well before there was a Muslim faith? How is it then that Palestinians now claim that is their territory?”

“Because Moshe Dayan decided to leave it, that’s why,” he adds.

Inside source says 'Biden-Harris regime' is withholding THESE specific weapons from Israel

Israel continues to fight for its right to exist as Iran’s proxies — Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis — press on in their pursuit of the total elimination of the Jewish nation.

What is the Biden administration, or in the words of Mark Levin, “the Biden-Harris regime,” doing in response?

It’s withholding a long list of weapons from Israel, including:

  • 120mm tank ammunition
  • 120mm mortar ammunition
  • Medium tactical vehicles
  • Medium air-to-air missiles
  • F 15s
  • F-135 engines
  • Joint direct attack munition
  • MK-84 bombs
  • Rifles from Israeli national police forces
  • .338 medium machine guns
  • Guided missile systems

Biden & Harris are Withholding Weapons for Israelwww.youtube.com

This list was provided to Levin by “one of the most important individuals in the know,” he says.

“Now keep something in mind: All the appropriations for these weapon systems and the ammunition and so forth have already taken place (passed by Congress, signed by the president), but [Biden] is either withholding it or slow walking it,” Levin explains. “In other words, he's impounding funds,” which is “unconstitutional.”

According to Levin, Israel desperately needs the MK-84 bombs, for example, to “destroy the tunnels” and “to take out the Iranian nuclear sites.”

“But Biden doesn’t want them to take out those sites,” he sighs, pointing to the president’s hypocrisy in claiming that he’s withholding weaponry because “it might escalate things” while happily allowing Iran to build its nuclear armory.

The Biden-Harris regime has given “tens of billions of dollars to Iran ... authorized Iraq to continue to sell electricity to Iran,” and “authorized the laxed enforcement of the oil sanctions,” all of which have played a significant role in Iran’s GDP doubling since the Trump administration.

Further, Biden has paved the way for Iran’s “alliance with China and Russia and North Korea.”

Mark Levin: Biden’s DEI appointments RUINED the Secret Service

If there’s one thing that can be agreed upon across the political aisle, it’s that the Secret Service was horrifically incompetent on July 13 — and thus is an absolute embarrassment to the United States.

The Secret Service had one job — to protect former President Donald Trump. And the agency failed. Had he not turned his head at the last second, he would likely not be with us today.

Mark Levin is in utter disbelief that something like this could have happened.

“What’s very upsetting about this, though, is the more we learn, the more preposterous and outrageous this is,” Levin says. “This is a tiny local police department. Are you telling me the United States Secret Service delegated them authority for protection outside the protection zone?”

Meanwhile, the Secret Service did have a counter-sniper. So where was he?

“If you have a counter-sniper there, that counter-sniper, that’s his job to stay focused. To look for any other snipers or any other potential, you know, in the trees, on the buildings, and so forth. That’s his job,” Levin says.

“And now that we learn that they viewed that building as a vulnerable spot, and then we hear that for the local police it was a launching off for special ops,” he continues. “You’ve seen the video, the people yelling and saying, ‘There’s a guy up there with a gun, he’s up there, he’s up there now with a rifle.’”

Perhaps a good way to explain how this happened starts with the now-former director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle. Cheatle was head of security for PepsiCo before becoming Secret Service director.

“This is a DEI appointment by Joe Biden,” Levin says. “One of the focuses of this director of the Secret Service, and she’s made it public, ‘We want 30% female agents.’”

“Well, I want 100% competent agents. This is not a game,” he adds.
