Pair of convicted pedophiles — one who raped, murdered 3-year-old girl — die on same night in same prison

Two convicted pedophiles died roughly within an hour of each other in an upstate New York prison last week. One of the inmates who was found dead was convicted of drugging, raping, and murdering a 3-year-old girl.

According to the state's Department of Corrections, 34-year-old Robert Fisher was pronounced dead at approximately 1:50 a.m. Oct. 22 at the Elmira Correctional Facility in Chemung County.

'He drugged her, went into her bedroom and raped her.'

WRGB-TV reported that 59-year-old William Brand was pronounced dead at approximately 2:52 a.m. Oct. 22.

The County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet announced the cause of death for either inmate.

Both were admitted into the prison within the last month. Records indicate that Brand was admitted Oct. 10; Fisher was admitted Sept. 23.

Fisher admitted to drugging, raping, and murdering 3-year-old Josefina Cunningham and was convicted of his crimes in July 2023. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in September.

Rensselaer County Assistant District Attorney Antonia Edwards said during Fisher's sentencing, "The heinous acts of the defendant took Josie away from this world and this community. This community also deserves to know what horrible and vile acts this defendant committed and the absolute horror Josie met when she came home from day care on July 6, 2023, into July 7, 2023."

Fisher used prescription drugs from Josefina's mother — Laquesha Cunningham — to drug the 3-year-old girl before raping her.

“The defendant took the medication prescribed to Laquesha, crushed it up, and put it in a cup for Josie to drink. He drugged her, went into her bedroom and raped her,” Edwards said. “He did all of this while she was alive and awake; we only know that now because of the autopsy results."

Edwards added, "Seeing the pictures of Josie's face after what the defendant did to her was mortifying. Those images will be ingrained into the minds forever for those who saw them."

Brand was convicted of sexually abusing a child under the age of 11.

The New York State Police said in a statement that Brand was arrested in April 2024 and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. Authorities noted that Brand had inappropriate sexual contact multiple times with a child.

Brand was serving a 10-year prison sentence.

14-year-old girl's brilliant trick on alleged pedophile leads to in-person meeting — but not with her. Now he's behind bars.

Arizona police commended a teen girl for her quick wits that helped land a potential sexual predator behind bars.

The 14-year-old girl was walking home from school on Oct. 16 when 37-year-old Isaiah Navarro approached her, according to a statement from the Glendale Police Department.

'Navarro arrived at the location but instead of the 14-year-old young lady, Navarro met up with some handcuffs and was placed under arrest.'

Police obtained Ring security video that shows the teen walking across the street in a residential neighborhood when Navarro was inside his car and started a conversation with the girl.

The teen told police Navarro asked her where the closest McDonald's was located. She gave him an answer.

Then, the man allegedly asked for the girl's phone number. The quick-thinking teen wisely provided her mother's cell phone number instead of her own.

Once the teen told her mother what had happened, the mom got law enforcement involved.

Navarro allegedly began texting the number — not knowing he was talking to detectives and not the 14-year-old girl.

Glendale detectives posed as the underage girl and allegedly communicated with the suspect through text messages from the mother's cell phone.

The police shared alleged screenshots of the text message conversation.

When asked how old he was, Navarro reportedly said he was 37 years old.

He then allegedly asked, "Is that OK?"

Detectives responded: "I'm a minor."

Police purportedly wrote to the man, "My mom will get so mad so will my dad. I'm only 14."

Navarro reportedly replied, "Maybe one day. Can you keep our convo between me and you?"

Navarro allegedly requested photos of the 14-year-old girl.

"The conversation became more and more graphic with Navarro describing and asking for specific sex acts, without any regard for the age of the victim," police said.

Police added that Navarro "invited the victim to perform sexual acts with him."

Navarro repeatedly asked to meet up with the girl and reportedly called the number up to 30 times.

Detectives set up a place and a time to meet, and Navarro allegedly went there a few hours later.

"Navarro arrived at the location but instead of the 14-year-old young lady, Navarro met up with some handcuffs and was placed under arrest," the police said.

Navarro was arrested on the spot. The accused pedophile was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and is facing charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and attempting to commit sexual conduct with a minor.

He's being held on a $250,000 bond.

"Here is a prime example of a young lady who thought quickly on her feet and did the right thing," police said. "We at the Glendale Police Department commend this young lady for her bravery and her smart thinking!"

Police are urging anyone who's had a similar encounter with the suspect to contact detectives at 623-930-3000.

Married mother admits to sexually assaulting teen hockey players 'young enough to be her kids' during family vacation

A married mother from Minnesota has admitted to sexually assaulting two 15-year-old hockey players during a family vacation, according to authorities.

Allison Leigh Schardin, 39, was arrested Feb. 1. Schardin was charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. On Friday, she pleaded guilty to the third-degree count and the fourth count will be dismissed under an agreement.

'You already have a 38‐year‐old woman, a female in your bed, don’t you want to do more?'

As Blaze News previously reported, Schardin allegedly was on a "staycation" with her family earlier this year at a hotel in Roseville — roughly 15 miles from her hometown of Blaine.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by Law & Crime, Schardin approached two teen boys at the hotel hot tub on Jan. 14. She allegedly began a conversation with the minors and complained about her marriage.

The second victim said Schardin was in the pool area when her husband allegedly shouted something like, “If you don’t come upstairs, our relationship is over.”

The wife reportedly disregarded her husband's words and instead asked to exchange "socials" with the victims.

Schardin purportedly contacted the first victim on Snapchat a little later that day and asked, “Can I come into your room?”

The married mom allegedly went to the boys' hotel room. They were in town from Colorado for a hockey tournament.

She told the teens they were "young enough to be her kids,” according to court documents.

Schardin reportedly began talking about "sex and stuff" and then got into bed with the two boys and asked them about their sexual experiences.

The boys said Schardin was “saying things like, ‘let’s just do more,’ ‘let’s have sex,’ ‘we’re already here,’ ‘You already have a 38‐year‐old woman, a female in your bed, don’t you want to do more?'”

In regard to the offer of sex, the first victim recalled thinking “not really” but ultimately said “sure” to Schardin because he didn’t know how to say no to her.

The criminal complaint said the first victim "was kind of uncomfortable."

The New York Post reported, "Schadin then began sexual acts with two of the teens — while a third watched — and asked them to perform sexual acts on her."

The next day, Schardin allegedly sent text messages to the teens while they were playing in a hockey tournament. She reportedly showed up to the boys' game.

“Victim one said they all started getting nervous, and he was shaking on the bench at one point because he wanted to leave what happened the night before in the past, and she was trying to follow them, ‘it was really creepy,'” the complaint reads.

Schardin reportedly continued to send text messages to the teenagers once they returned home to Colorado. She allegedly attempted to convince one of the boys to not tell police “what happened.”

Schardin purportedly texted the first victim, "I will do or say anything you want, just don’t tell the police or report what happened.'” According to the complaint, the boy replied that "he didn’t want anything from her, that he wouldn’t report it, and that she needed to leave him alone."

The teen then blocked Schardin.

Minnesota court records reveal that Scardin's husband, Anthony Schardin, filed for divorce on Dec. 18, 2023, Heavy reported.

Schardin is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 10, 2025.

FACT CHECK: Did Tim Walz Sign Bill Protecting Pedophiles From Discrimination?

A post shared on social media purports that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed a bill making it illegal to discriminate against pedophiles. As Minnesota governor, Tim Walz signed a bill making it illegal to discriminate against pedophiles under the state’s civil rights law. Follow: @AFpost pic.twitter.com/vQNMTrKCqG — AF Post (@AFpost) August 7, 2024 Verdict: Misleading The Take Pride […]

Walz advanced radical LGBTQ agenda as governor, signed bill that doesn't expressly prohibit pedophilia as sexual orientation

Tim Walz, the far-left governor of Minnesota who was recently tapped to be border czar Kamala Harris' running mate in the 2024 election, has advanced a radical LGBTQ agenda since assuming the governorship 2019. Not only does he enjoy unwavering support from the state's first openly "transgender" lawmaker, but he even signed a bill that does not specifically prohibit pedophilia as a recognized sexual orientation.

After Walz was announced as Harris' No. 2, Minnesota state Rep. Leigh Finke — a male Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party member who identifies as female and the chair of the Minnesota Queer Legislators Caucus — took to the media to express his unwavering support.

"From the moment I was sworn in as a member of the Minnesota Legislature, it became clear to me that Governor Walz was committed to being a true ally for the queer community," Finke said in a statement.

'Ensuring all trans folx have access to gender-affirming care and the tools they need to thrive.'

To demonstrate, Finke pointed to the so-called "trans refuge" bill he helped author and that Walz signed into law in April 2023 after a gender-confused 12-year-old publicly lobbied for it earlier that year. The law codified protections for abortion up until birth and so-called "gender affirming care" and even made Minnesota a safe haven for people from states that have banned gender-related medical interventions.

"The passage of the Trans Refuge law was just the beginning of our dedication to ensuring all trans folx have access to gender-affirming care and the tools they need to thrive," the Queer Caucus said in a June statement.

Finke also made an appearance on ABC News to gush further about the "trans refuge" bill and Walz's other supposed contributions to the "community" the Queer Caucus abbreviates as "LGBTQIA2S+."

"Um, you know, when we elected 11 new LGBTQ members, uh, to the House two years ago and created the Queer Caucus, and I started pushing, um, the — the importance of the 'trans refuge' bill that I carried, [Walz] was always right there," Finke stammered.

During that interview with ABC News, Finke also noted Walz's previous experience working as an adviser for a gay-straight alliance club at a Minnesota high school where he once taught and coached football.

"You know, he, Governor Walz, has said all along that he wants Minnesota to be the best place to raise a family," Finke continued, "and he knows that means all families. And — and I think that that says a lot about what he's trying to do and what he can bring to the ticket."

Sexual orientation in the Land of 10,000 Lakes

Perhaps even more troubling than Walz's ringing endorsement from a man wearing earrings and lipstick is his approval of a Pride bill that does not expressly prohibit pedophilia as one of the state's recognized sexual orientations.

In May 2023, Walz signed into law the Take Pride Act, which appears to be a series of updates to the Minnesota Human Rights Act of 1993.

Part of those revisions included amending the definition of the term "sexual orientation." The bill underwent several rewrites during the legislative phase, but at one point, the definition of sexual orientation listed on the bill included the following statement: "'Sexual orientation' does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult."

However, that statement was later removed, as evidenced by the line struck through it:

Screenshot of H.F. No. 1655

That language was never restored, and the final definition of sexual orientation included in version of the bill that Walz signed makes a vague association between sexual attraction and adulthood by employing terms like "men" and "women" but does not expressly preclude pedophilia.

"Sexual orientation" means to whom someone is, or is perceived of as being, emotionally, physically, or sexually attracted to based on sex or gender identity. A person may be attracted to men, women, both, neither, or to people who are genderqueer, androgynous, or have other gender identities.

Fact-checkers quickly defended the language of the bill. USA Today asserted that the bill did not protect "pedophiles from discrimination," and PolitiFact insisted that it would not make child rapists a "protected class," even as both outlets acknowledged that the statement about pedophilia had been deliberately removed.

MrBeast's transgender costar quits massively popular children's YouTube channel after grooming accusations

Ava Kris Tyson — a biological male born Chris Tyson before transitioning — was a costar of the MrBeast YouTube channel, which is massively popular with children. However, the 28-year-old transgender YouTube star permanently quit after grooming allegations. Tyson has denied the accusations.

Last month, allegations surfaced in a YouTube video and accused Tyson of grooming a 13-year-old. At the time of the alleged grooming, Tyson was age 20.

The alleged victim — who is now an adult — has recently come out to deny the grooming allegations against Tyson.

"These videos are massive lies and twisting the truth," the alleged victim said. "Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of."

On Tuesday, Tyson also denied the accusations in a post on the X social media platform:

"I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent. Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health. To lump these two factors together to create a narrative that my behavior extended beyond bad edgy jokes is disgusting and did not happen. In past years, I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I cannot change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself. I don't want these accusations to impact the hundreds of people who work at MrBeast, which is why I have stepped away."

The MrBeast account features videos of challenges, extravagant stunts, pranks, and philanthropy.

The star of the channel is Jimmy Donaldson – who is MrBeast.

'I am a woman! She/her. I've never said that publicly, but I've been fully confident in that decision for over a year now.'

Tyson and Donaldson were childhood friends and both had been involved in the MrBeast YouTube account since it started garnering popularity.

The MrBeast channel is far and away the most popular YouTube account in the world with more than 305 million subscribers and over 55 billion views.

According to an informal poll with over 1.5 million responses on the official MrBeast X account conducted in 2023, roughly 42% of the MrBeast audience is age 20 or younger.

Tyson married influencer Katie Tyson in 2018 before welcoming a baby in 2020.

Tyson reportedly came out as bisexual in 2020.

In a since-deleted tweet posted in 2023, Tyson allegedly said, "For a little over a year now me and Katie have been separated. We are finalizing things soon but these things take time."

Tyson started hormone replacement therapy in February 2023.

During an interview conducted in July 2023, Tyson claimed to be a woman.

"I am a woman! She/her. I've never said that publicly, but I've been fully confident in that decision for over a year now," Tyson declared.

Donaldson and Tyson did not respond to a request for comment by the BBC.

7 men on film gang-raping toddlers at popular Texas mall, posting videos to dark web: FBI

The federal government has accused seven men of gang-raping two toddlers, according to police. The child sex crimes were filmed at various locations – including at a popular Texas mall – and posted online, according to the FBI.

Texas police arrested 29-year-old Arthur Hector Fernandez last month, and he is currently in federal custody. The suspect was charged with 14 criminal complaints – including the sexual exploitation of children – in federal court in Houston, Texas.

Fernandez is the only suspect charged in the case thus far. There are reportedly four videos of child sex abuse in the case.

Fernandez reportedly worked at a kiosk at the Galleria Mall in Houston. He was friendly with two women who also worked at the mall and had watched their children when they worked, according to the FBI.

The criminal complaint notes that the person filming the graphic videos, along with one or two other men, were seen in the four videos abusing two different toddlers – both 2 to 3 years old.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, "At least seven people could be seen abusing the children or heard talking in the videos, according to court documents."

The alleged sexual assaults of children took place in different locations, including bathrooms at the Galleria Mall.

KRIV reported that FBI agents launched an investigation after they were tipped off on the disturbing videos by the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation in early December. The four videos were allegedly available in an "invitation-only forum" on the dark web.

The FBI reportedly utilized "an open-source image repository" to identify one of the young children and discovered a match on social media. A relative of the minor under the age of 3 recognized the bracelets that Fernandez was wearing, according to the complaint. The relative of the alleged victim also said Fernandez would often wear white Converse All-Stars – which were reportedly seen in the video.

The FBI executed a search warrant at the home of Fernandez, seizing electronic devices and three pairs of sneakers believed to have been seen in the videos.

The FBI found the second alleged victim after law enforcement scoured Fernandez's Instagram account, states the complaint filed in the Southern District of Texas on Dec. 14. The relative of the alleged victim also worked at the mall and purportedly told investigators that Fernandez took her child trick-or-treating on Halloween.

"The evidence in this case is overwhelming and revolting," the judge wrote in a court order. "I cannot allow [him] to abuse any other minors, and there are no conditions or combination of conditions that can alleviate a danger to the community. This is not a close call."

FBI agent Torrence White did not comment directly on the case but told KTRK-TV, "The perpetrators of these crimes are family members, teachers, and members of the community. Oftentimes folks are looking for the monster in the white van, but often it's the person you know."

The public defender listed as Fernandez's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment from USA Today.
