Dr. Phil shares a warning about the 'next pandemic' — and he wants you to be prepared: 'Who's got the plan?'

Dr. Phil McGraw is warning Americans to begin thinking about the "next pandemic."

On his show this week, Dr. Phil hosted guests who explained the problems associated with pandemic lockdowns. One guest, a teacher, detailed the extensive learning loss and behavioral challenges in schools today. Another guest told the story of her business being classified "non-essential" during the pandemic, leading to her arrest after she defied authorities.

The lessons that Americans should learn from the COVID pandemic are clear, according to Dr. Phil: We need a better plan for next time.

"My concern is when the next pandemic turns the corner, who's got the plan then? What was learned from this? Because you don't hear anybody talking about it, do you?" Dr. Phil said. "I want to force people to say, 'we need to get ready for when this happens again.' And I'm not some conspiracy theorist saying they're coming to get us and lock us up.

"But I'm saying we need to think about whether we're going to rely on science, and how we're going to react when the government comes in and starts telling us what we can and can't do," he continued.

"I think we need less government," Dr. Phil declared. "I think if they would step back, we tend to have a way to work these things out."

Dr. Phil Delivers Stunning Message to the COVID “Experts” Who Got it Wrong

The floodgates are opening.

A common argument that lockdown apologists deploy today is to claim the so-called experts made the best possible decisions at the time with the information they had in the midst of the pandemic.

But Dr. Phil thinks that's hogwash.

"No, they did not. They knew better, and if they didn’t know better, they damn well should have known better. That's what they're paid to do," he exclaimed.

Dr. Phil has been speaking about the collateral damage from pandemic lockdowns for months. In February, he went viral after battling the liberal hosts on "The View" about the irreversible damage the lockdowns imposed on children.

"[Schoolchildren] suffered and will suffer more from the mismanagement of COVID than they will from the exposure to COVID. And that's not an opinion — that's a fact," Dr. Phil told them, triggering a loud applause from the crowd.

WATCH: Dr. Phil SILENCES Whoopi Goldberg over COVID protocols

Whoopi Goldberg and the other lefties on “The View” are quick to talk over and belittle anyone who disagrees with their shared liberal ideology.

However, when Dr. Phil was invited on the show, he was not about to be silenced. In fact, he was the one who did the silencing.

Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey play a clip of Dr. Phil stating straight facts about how COVID protocols were damaging to schoolchildren.

“The agencies that shut down the schools for two years … [took] away the support system for these children,” he boldly stated, adding that “when they shut it down, they stopped the mandated reporters from being able to see children that were being abused and sexually molested and, in fact, sent them home and abandoned them to their abusers.”

Well, Whoopi didn’t like that.

“They were trying to save kids’ lives. Remember we know a lot of folks who died during this,” she fired back.

“Not schoolchildren,” he retorted.

“Maybe we're lucky they didn't because we kept them out of the places that they could be sick.”

“Are you saying no schoolchildren died of COVID?” asked Ana Navarro, who looked deeply offended.

“I’m saying it was the safest group. They were the less vulnerable group, and they suffered and will suffer more from the mismanagement of COVID than they will from the exposure to COVID, and that's not an opinion. That's a fact,” Dr. Phil concluded, but before Whoopi or Ana could respond, the audience erupted into applause.

“You’ve got to love his bravery,” says Rick, acknowledging that it’s unlikely Dr. Phil will be invited back on “The View” any time soon.

Audience erupts in applause when Dr. Phil schools 'The View' hosts about COVID lockdowns and schoolchildren: 'That's a fact'

Dr. Phil McGraw educated the hosts of "The View" on Monday about the harm COVID lockdowns brought on school children and teenagers.

While discussing his forthcoming book, Dr. Phil connected the advent of the smartphone to high levels of "depression, anxiety, loneliness, and suicidality" among children and teenagers because users "stopped living their lives and starting watching people live their lives."

Those problems were exacerbated by COVID lockdowns, Dr. Phil explained, pointing out that the same government agencies that track these problems among American youth were the "same agencies" that "shut down the schools for two years."

"Who does that? Who takes away the support system for these children? Who takes it away and shuts it down?" he asked. "And by the way, when they shut it down, they stopped the mandated reporters from being able to see children that were being abused and sexually molested and, in fact, sent them home and abandoned them to their abusers with no way to watch, and referrals dropped 50 to 60%."

Sunny Hostin was the first co-host to interject and defend the lockdowns. She was quickly followed by Whoopi Goldberg.

"There was also a pandemic going on, and they were trying to save their lives," Hostin told Dr. Phil.

"They were trying to save kids' lives," Goldberg defended.

"Not school children," Dr. Phil shot back.

Ana Navarro then took her chance at Dr. Phil, asking a question that prompted a reality check from Dr. Phil.

"Are you saying no school children died of COVID?" Navarro asked.

"I'm saying it was the safest group. They were the less vulnerable group," Dr. Phil responded. "And they suffered and will suffer more from the mismanagement of COVID than they will from the exposure to COVID. And that's not an opinion — that's a fact."

The audience loudly applauded Dr. Phil's answer.

Dr. Phil is right.

Young people, especially teenagers and children, were the least likely to die from COVID-19.

But that didn't stop politicians and bureaucrats from shutting down schools. Now, nearly everyone agrees the lockdown policies are responsible for widespread learning loss, a deficit for which the "experts" have yet to find a solution.

Dr. Phil tells Joe Rogan the cold, hard truth about the medical industry pushing transgender ideology on children

Dr. Phil McGraw is calling out the medical industry for pushing radical pro-trans ideology on children.

During a conversation on "The Joe Rogan Experience" about how institutions of power are pushing their ideologies on children, Dr. Phil criticized medical organizations for promoting trans ideology despite a lack of scientific evidence.

"It's interesting they choose words like 'gender-affirming care.' That's interesting that they call it that. But really what they’re talking about is hormonal therapy or sex reassignment surgery on children," Dr. Phil said.

"The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Endocrine Society or whatever the exact name of that is — all of the major medical associations have signed off on this," he continued. "I have never seen those organizations sign off on anything with less information as to whether or not it does long-term harm of anything in my life. When I ask about that, when I bring that up, then they immediately label you as 'transphobic.'"

Importantly, Dr. Phil noted that several European countries have rolled back and severely restricted their "gender-affirming care" because science shows it does more long-term harm than good — if it does any good at all.

Moreover, Dr. Phil challenged the argument that trans activists use to bully people into affirming their view: that not affirming someone's feelings about themselves leads that person to suicide.

"Their reason for [promoting trans ideology] is it stops this drive for suicide — that there's a suicide epidemic. It doesn’t fix that," he said. "It doesn't fix all the comorbid issues that come along with feeling like they're in the wrong body. But yet they're pushing this."

🚨NEW: Joe Rogan and Dr. Phil discuss the American medical system's endorsement of hormonal therapy and sexual reassignment surgery for children.

Later in the episode, Dr. Phil condemned teachers and school systems that promote hiding information from parents about children who are struggling with gender dysphoria.

"I've talked to a lot of teachers, and they're telling me that they have a duty to the children that if the child is not ready to talk to their parents about this, that it's OK for them to keep a secret from [the parents]," he revealed.

The problem, Dr. Phil explained, is that gender dysphoria is "either a psychological phenomenon or a medical phenomenon" — and because teachers are not trained in either field, they are not qualified to make decisions about children struggling with gender dysphoria. More importantly, teachers who encourage students to lie to their parents are negatively interfering in the child's relationship with their parents.

"Their justification for that is, 'Well, if the child goes home and announces this, or if we tell it to the parent, then the child could get abused, the child could get judged, the child could get kicked to the curb.' But they have to admit, statistically, that that is very rare. And if that's the case, that's what we have the Department of Child and Family Services for.

"But you don't come between the child and their parent," Dr. Phil said. "The parent has the right to know what's going on."

Dr. Phil retiring from daytime talk show after 21-year run, plans new venture to tackle 'grave concerns for the American family'

The "Dr. Phil" show is coming to an end after a 21-year run. Dr. Phil McGraw announced on Tuesday that he is retiring from his successful daytime talk show, but is planning a new venture to restore "our core values."

"I have been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in daytime television," McGraw said in a statement. "With this show, we have helped thousands of guests and millions of viewers through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children."

McGraw added, "This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I’m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do."

The daytime talk show host hinted at his future. "I am compelled to engage with a broader audience because I have grave concerns for the American family, and I am determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values."

The 72-year-old talk show host will immediately shift focus to "prime-time programming and plans to announce a strategic prime-time partnership, scheduled for an early 2024 launch, which will expand his reach and increase his impact on television and viewers."

Steve LoCascio, president of CBS Media Ventures, said, "Phil is a valued partner and member of the CBS/King World family, and while his show may be ending after 21 years, I'm happy to say our relationship is not."

"Phil changed the daytime landscape as the force behind one of the most popular talk shows ever on daytime TV," LoCascio continued. "We plan to be in the 'Dr. Phil' business with the library for years to come and welcome opportunities to work together in the future."

CBS Media Ventures will repackage old episodes of the "Dr. Phil" show by adding new intros by McGraw and guest updates.

McGraw earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas. He became a licensed psychologist and co-founded Courtroom Sciences, Inc. – a trial consulting firm that became the inspiration for the CBS prime-time show "Bull."

Oprah Winfrey hired Courtroom Sciences, Inc. for her defamation trial against a Texas beef group in 1995. Oprah was reportedly so impressed with McGraw that she invited him to appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." By 1998, McGraw was appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" weekly as a relationship and life strategy expert.

In 2002, McGraw launched his "Dr. Phil" show, which was produced by Oprah's Harpo Studios.

"Dr. Phil" has been at the top or second-best in ratings in its genre for all 21 years and has been nominated for 31 Daytime Emmy Awards.

McGraw started "Dr. Phil" spin-off shows such as "Dr. Phil House," "The Doctors," and "House Calls with Dr. Phil."

McGraw hosts two podcasts, "Phil in the Blank" and "Mystery & Murder: Analysis by Dr. Phil."
