NFL star Tyreek Hill sued by plus-size model who says he broke her leg performing offensive lineman drills in his back yard

An NFL wide receiver is being sued by a social media influencer after the woman allegedly fractured her leg while simulating football activities at his home.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who is often described as the fastest player in the NFL, has been sued by Sophie Hall after an alleged injury.

The 35-year-old plus-size model from England is suing Hall for battery, assault, and negligence.

The lawsuit stems from Hill allegedly messaging Hall over Instagram after she purchased a ticket for her son to attend his football camp in June 2023. Hall alleged that after she bought a ticket to the "Tyreek Hill Football Camp," the NFL player messaged her in a "flirtatious and playful manner," by telling her she isn't 6'1", which she claims to be in her social media bio.

Hill, whom the NFL lists at 5'10", then reportedly told Hall that she would be "towering over everyone" at the football camp. Hill then said that "I’ve been know [sic] to be a good stepdad."

The conversation was corroborated by screenshots, Fox News reported.

The social media model claimed that Hill provided his phone number after the camp's conclusion and invited her to his house. The lawsuit continued that Hill paid for the flight and travel arrangements for Hall.

While Hall was at what was described as Hill's mansion, the wide receiver was working out on a turf field on the property. Following the session, Hill allegedly "invited Ms. Hall to participate in offensive line drills with him."

The two allegedly engaged in football drills, which soon resulted in the injury.

"Defendant Hill asked Ms. Hall to stand in a defensive line stance while he stood opposite her in an offensive lineman stance, ‘hiked’ the ball to the quarterback, and told her to rush him as if she wanted to chase the quarterback," the lawsuit stated. "Ms. Hall did as instructed and on contact with the Defendant, caused Hill to be pushed backwards."

The lawsuit claimed that the all-pro was "humiliated" as his mother, sister, friend, and trainer all laughed at him. Hall also alleged that Hill "became angry" while preparing for another play. The two then changed roles, putting Hill as the rushing player.

Despite a claim that "Ms. Hall held her own against Mr. Hill," on the next play, a fourth iteration of the drill allegedly had Hill charge into Hall "violently and with great force, resulting in significant and serious injuries."

"The crushing force was so great that she sustained a right leg fracture, necessitating surgery with metal hardware implantation," the lawsuit described.

The legal action was filed in Broward County Court, in Florida, over "intentional and reckless misconduct" on the part of the Miami Dolphins player.

Hall is seeking $50,000 after her lawsuit said that Hill "failed to get her any medical attention or treatment at any time." The filing said that Hill downplayed her injury and "simply told her to rest and offered her a bed to lay down and ice her leg."

Hall allegedly stayed at the football player's house until she was able to travel home a couple of days later. Upon her return, she was reportedly diagnosed with a right leg fracture, resulting in "weekly physical therapy sessions." The plaintiff claimed that she still has "persistent pain and weakness in her lower extremities."

In addition, the lawsuit claimed that "defendant Hill’s aggression towards Ms. Hall is consistent with his history of violent and aggressive behavior towards women."

Hill was charged with felonious assault and battery by strangulation in 2014, to which he pleaded guilty and received three years of probation through a plea agreement.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News.

Plus-size air travelers should get free extra seats and other accommodations, petition declares

A petition posted on change.org calls for airlines to accommodate large passengers, including by offering them free additional seats.

The petition, posted by "plus size" blogger and content creator Jae'lynn Chaney, calls for the Federal Aviation Administration to require airlines to implement policies to accommodate larger passengers — so far, the petition has more than 3,700 signers.

"The FAA must require all airlines to implement a clear customer-of-size policy that prioritizes the comfort and well-being of all passengers. This policy should include clear guidelines on accommodating larger passengers, such as providing larger seats, seat belt extenders, and alternative seating arrangements," the petition declares.

It lists various policy ways to accommodate larger flyers, such as free extra seats and refunds for large passengers who opt to purchase an extra seat.

"Provide accessible additional seats: All plus-size passengers should be provided with an extra free seat, or even two or three seats depending on their size, to accommodate their needs and ensure their comfort during the flight," the petition suggested. "Airlines should offer a refund for plus-size passengers who purchase additional seats independently. This should be a straightforward process that can be accessed online or through customer service."

"Airlines must create a set of policies, standards, and procedures for plus-size travelers and communicate them in a clear, accessible, and easy-to-understand way. This should include information on booking additional seats, requesting a refund, and what to expect during check-in, boarding, and flight," the petition declares.

It also says that there should be bigger restrooms available, calling for the FAA to require that new aircraft include a wheechair-accessible lavatory.

"Airlines should also create accommodations for larger passengers, such as larger bathrooms, seat belt extenders, and alternative seating arrangements," the petition states. "As petitioners, we are also calling on the FAA to mandate that all new airplanes have at least one wheelchair accessible restroom."

Chaney addressed the question of cost in a message to Fox News Digital.

"It is difficult to provide a one-size-fits-all answer to the question of who will pay for the policies mentioned in the petition," Chaney told Fox News Digital via email. "However, what is clear is that the mistreatment and discrimination of plus-size travelers is unacceptable and must be addressed," she noted. "The airline industry has a responsibility to provide a safe, comfortable and inclusive environment for all passengers, regardless of their size."

"Many airlines also oversell a percentage of seats on flights, resulting in available seats that could be used to accommodate passengers who need additional room," she suggested, according to the outlet. "Implementing policies to accommodate plus-size passengers may come with associated costs, but these costs must be weighed against the benefits of creating a more welcoming and inclusive travel experience."

"Additionally, the government may have a role to play in funding or incentivizing these policies, as part of its responsibility to promote accessible and equitable transportation for all citizens," Chaney noted, according to Fox. "In the end, the question of who will pay for these policies should not be a barrier to taking action."
