Eggs allegedly thrown at children during rally supporting President Trump: 'This is what the Democrat party represents'

Delaware State Police on Monday told TheBlaze that "during a Republican Political Rally" Sunday outside the Crossroads Restaurant in Wilmington, three males between the ages of 20 and 25 drove by and threw eggs at the crowd standing near the roadway.

Police said three children and three adults were struck, no injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made amid the active investigation.

'I wanted to show you what these hateful liberals did to a little child'

Lauren Witzke, a Republican candidate from Delaware for U.S. Senate, hosted the event supporting President Donald Trump. Witzke posted a video on her Twitter page that she said showed the aftermath, including a little girl with eggshells in her hair and a little boy with egg on his shirt.

"I wanted to show you what these hateful liberals did to a little child," Witzke said in the clip as the video camera focused on top of the girl's head. "They drove by, and they threw eggs at little children."

Witzke added that the rally participants were waiting for police and had the license plate of the egg-throwers' vehicle.

"This is a hate crime right here," she said, adding that "little children [are] getting egged" "just for being conservative."

Witzke also said, "This is what the Democrat Party represents, this is what the Democrat party allows" and that "we have to build something better for our children and their future, because the radical left will throw eggs at little children, the radical left will throw profanities at little children."

How did folks react?

Of course a number of folks were upset at the alleged egging incident, but others had different points of view:

  • "Stop putting kids in the line of fire," one commenter wrote. "Children are not props. Your whole message is lost when you have these children in harm's way. Now you use them as a prop. Manipulate peoples emotion to fit your view. You are a piece of s**t."
  • "I'm pro-Trump, but using that poor wee girl to make a point is unacceptable," another commenter said. "Instead of standing over her and sticking a phone in her face ... she should have been held and comforted. Eggs hurt when you're hit by one. And clearly her eye was bothering her. Shame on you."
  • "Eggs are better than pepper spray," another detractor noted.

But there was plenty of pushback on such perspectives, too, as one commenter noted, "If this were the other way around, there would be a mic in every conservative congressman's face asking whether or not they denounced it. NO Democrat in Congress or running for office is ever asked to comment on stuff like this."

Haven't we seen this movie before?

In late August, two women in Wilmington were caught on video ripping up pro-Trump signs and stealing a red "Make America Great Again" hat while a 7-year-old boy cried and chased after them near the venue for the virtual Democratic National Convention.

And last week, Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy — both 21 and from Wilmington — were indicted by a New Castle County grand jury on charges of second-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree assault, attempted third-degree assault, offensive touching, and felony hate crimes, Delaware Online reported.

Video of the incident shows two women harassing a mother and her young son. The women ripped pro-Trump signs and stole a MAGA hat sitting near the boy, whose mother recorded the altercation.

At one point the boy sees another hat on the ground, and when he goes to retrieve it, one of the women actually appears to stomp her foot to prevent him from picking it up. The video doesn't show whether she makes contact with the boy's hand:

But when a man the mother apparently knows attempts to intervene, the same woman appears to hit him in the face:

'They're executing people': Friend of pro-Trump shooting victim in Portland details how 'they hunted us down'

The mainstream media says Aaron "Jay" Danielson, a supporter of President Donald Trump and the conservative group Patriot Prayer, was killed while engaged in violent rioting in Portland, Oregon, last weekend. But friend and fellow protester, Chandler Pappas, who was standing next to Danielson when he was killed, tells a very different story.

Pappas spoke with "Slightly Offens*ve" host Elijah Schaffer to share the details of what really happened that night and discuss the terrifying reality of violent political targeting, which is being encouraged by the media and leaders on the left.

"They hunted us down and shot [Danielson] because we were not like them," Pappas told Schaffer. "We didn't go down there with the intent of hurting people or doing anything in particular, but we have the right to be there. We have the right to be there and they seem to disagree with that to the point now that they're executing people. They hunted us down. They found us, and they said 'we've got a couple right here.' And they shot [Danielson]."

Gunshots reportedly fired at pro-Trump caravan in LA; car tire blown out; another car's window smashed

Hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump staged a car rally along Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles on Sunday morning when a motorist heard what sounded like gunshots as she drove past the caravan and soon noticed her flat tire, KNBC-TV reported, citing police.

Police told the station the tire was damaged by a projectile, possibly a bullet or bullet fragment, and a witness pointed police to a possible shooter in a nearby apartment building.

What happened next?

With that, SWAT was called to the apartment complex in the 20600 block of Ventura Boulevard in the Woodland Hills neighborhood, and the building was locked down with three suspected shooters barricaded inside, KNBC said.

But after a standoff of several hours with Ventura Boulevard shut down and nearby buildings evacuated, SWAT entered the apartment and found no one home, the station said. Police continued to investigate the incident, KNBC noted.

What's the background?

"We assembled peacefully," rally participant Linda Zukovski told the station.

But Zukovski added to KNBC that she recorded video prior to the rally start of men on an apartment balcony arguing with rally participants — and that bottles and even a firework were thrown at Trump supporters.

"Nobody was throwing stuff back at them, nobody was screaming obscenities at them." she told the station. "It was all like kind of mellow until it became violent."

Zukovski also told KNBC the rear window of a car right in front of her in the caravan was smashed by a rock or frozen water bottle.

She added to the station that "as we were driving by we heard the gunshot."

An unidentified woman told KNBC that "the people that were in the caravan and all the Trump supporters were pretty taunting."

The station said there were no reports of any injuries.

Anything else?

The incident occurred just hours after a vehicle caravan of Trump supporters clashed with Antifa rioters in Portland, after which a man associated with Patriot Prayer was fatally shot. Video from the shooting suggests the victim was targeted.

After the deadly shooting, a crowd of leftists gathered on a Portland street and cheered as a woman hollered through a megaphone that "the person who died was a Patriot Prayer person. He was a f***ing Nazi. Our community held its own and took out the trash. I'm not going to shed any tears over a Nazi."

Shots fired at Trump supporters, including children, who were just waving flags in South Carolina

Supporters of President Donald Trump said that shots were fired at them from a vehicle as they were waving flags during a public political demonstration.

The incident unfolded Monday evening in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The Fort Mill Police Department said in a statement posted to its Facebook page that the officers were called to the demonstration at about 6:50 p.m.

Demonstrators told them that three men in a vehicle drove by their group several times and yelled obscenities at them. They claimed that the driver of the vehicle extended his hand out with what appeared to be a gun and they heard gunshots ring out.

"All of a sudden you know bang bang bang bang bang bang bang," Matthew Ostrowski said to WBTV.

"It was ridiculous. There were kids everywhere," he added. "They drove by really slow and saw everybody, so they knew exactly who was there."

Later a highway patrol officer found the vehicle abandoned nearby. Police stopped a second car driving in the vicinity of the first car when the trooper noticed one of the riders wore clothing that matched the description they were given by witnesses.

Police say two of the men in the second car were released after an investigation, but a third, 23-year-old Marquise Damarius Asomani from Charlotte, was arrested.

They charged him with six counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, one count of unlawful carrying of a pistol, one count of pointing and presenting firearms at a person, and one count of possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

He was placed under a $75,000 bond and held at the York County Detention Center.

'This energizes me more'

Ostrowski said that the incident didn't intimidate him and the others in the group, instead they drew strength and inspiration from the alleged attack.

"If anything this energizes me more and after this incident," he said. "It's done the same for many many people."

But others, like Lindsey Portugal, said that the alarming incident was discouraging.

"I think it's sad honestly that we're showing support for the president and you have to be nervous about somebody coming and doing this," she said. "I mean that's just discouraging."
