MacKenzie Scott, Jeff Bezos' ex-wife, funnels most of $640 million in donations to left-wing causes: transgender athletes, migrants

MacKenzie Scott – the ex-wife of billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos – is dumping most of her massive $640 million in donations to left-wing causes. Major funds will be funneled to progressive initiatives such as enabling transgender athletes, legal aid for illegal immigrants, and climate change.

On Tuesday, Scott announced that she is donating $640 million to 361 nonprofits through her philanthropic organization known as Yield Giving. ABC News reported that 279 nonprofits received $2 million from Scott, and 82 organizations were gifted $1 million each.

According to the Yield Giving website, the organization has donated more than $17.3 billion to over 2,300 nonprofit teams since it was established in December 2022.

In the latest round of huge donations, Scott directed a combined $122 million for legal assistance to migrant-advocacy organizations, according to an analysis by the New York Post.

Scott provided funds to the Florida Immigrant Coalition – a progressive organization that works to "block anti-immigrant agenda in Florida," deliver "college in-state tuition for undocumented students and strong wage theft ordinances to protect workers."

The Florida Immigration Coalition previously proclaimed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is "making a mockery of the suffering of these immigrants" and "he must be stopped."

Another illegal immigration advocacy organization that received a grant from the ex-wife of Bezos is the Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition. The pro-migrant group announced receiving $2 million from Scott by stating, "For 20 years we have worked to build immigrant and refugee power, and this gift will catalyze our efforts to organize communities statewide, advance our vision of a multiracial democracy, and build a Tennessee where everyone belongs."

The Post noted that Scott gifted $117 million to 67 prisoner-advocacy groups and other organizations helping convicted criminals.

Scott sent $72 million to 43 orgs advocating for "gender identity," "sexual orientation," and other LGBTQ causes. Included is a nonprofit helping to enable biological boys who identify as transgender individuals to participate in female sports.

Scott, 53, also donated $18 million to 10 groups pushing a green energy agenda.

Scott and Bezos finalized their divorce in 2019 after 25 years of marriage.

Scott walked away with roughly a 4% stake in Amazon worth $38.3 billion, according to People magazine.

Scott has a net worth of $36.3 billion, according to Forbes. She is the 42nd wealthiest person in the world and the third-richest woman in the United States.

America's largest teachers' union poured tens of millions into political causes last year, spent comparatively little on members

America's largest teachers' union, the National Education Association, spent twice as much on politics-related expenses as it did on its own members last year, according to an analysis of the union's financial disclosures.

In a report published Thursday, the Washington Examiner shared details of an analysis of the union's filings produced by the right-to-work nonprofit organization Americans for Fair Treatment that appeared to show the NEA's overt mission to sway the nation's politics.

In its analysis, the nonprofit reportedly found that during the 2020-2021 fiscal year, the NEA, which boasts more than 3 million members, "donated $66 million to political activities and another $117 million to 'contributions, gifts, and grants' that were primarily political donations."

The $66 million in political donations amounted to 18% of the union's $374 million budget for 2020-2021, while the $117 million in "contributions, gifts, and grants" amounted to 32% of its expenditures. Meanwhile, just 9% of the union's budget was spent on direct assistance to members.

The exorbitant amount of political spending, the group said, shows where the union's "priorities lie."

It also comes as parents across the country become increasingly concerned over the teaching of progressive ideologies such as critical race theory and gender fluidity in schools.

"The National Education Association’s political and charitable spending in 2020-2021 makes the NEA look more like a political organization than a membership organization," Americans for Fair Treatment said in a statement to the Examiner. "The union spent $2 on politics for every $1 it spent on representing its members."

Furthermore, many of the NEA's political donations were sent to political action committees representing Democratic candidates or to liberal advocacy groups, Americans for Fair Treatment noted.

For example, the union sent more than $8 million to the State Engagement Fund and the Strategic Victory Fund, organizations that funnel money to left-wing political groups and Democratic candidates. It also donated $1 million to Future Forward USA Action, a PAC that supported President Joe Biden's 2020 campaign.

Based on statements posted on the NEA's website and social media accounts, it is clear which political party the union supports.

The NEA's president, Becky Pringle, recently released a statement celebrating the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, calling Jackson's story "the story of all of us who have overcome great obstacles in the pursuit of making our country a better, more equitable place for all."

According to the Southeastern Legal Foundation, a public interest law firm, in the past, the NEA has supported controversial causes such as Black Lives Matter, the teaching of critical race theory in classrooms, taxpayer-funded reparations, and abortion.

Students, professors push 'progressive stacking' policy that would see 'white,' 'male,' 'privileged' students called on last during classroom discussions

A Binghamton University professor is demanding the school institute a "progressive stacking" policy that would require classrooms to kowtow to the less privileged students in class before calling on those with privilege — including white students and male students, the College Fix reported on Friday.

What's a brief history here?

Binghamton University sociology professor Ana Maria Candela recently issued a policy change in her classroom syllabus that prioritized calling on "minorities, women, and shy people."

In a February update, Candela said that if students are "white, male, or someone privileged by the racial and gender structures of our society to have your voice easily voiced and heard, we will often ask you to hold off on your questions or comments to give others priority, and will come back to you a bit later or at another time."

However, as a result of outcry — and at least one Title IX complaint — Candela was forced to remove the controversial policy from the syllabus.

This prompted her supporters — including students and other faculty members — to rally and protest that she ought to be able to include the addendum for classroom discussion.

At the time, a spokesperson for the university told Fox News that the school's Faculty Staff Handbook outlines its principles on effective teaching in the classroom.

“The Faculty Staff Handbook outlines principles of effective teaching, which include valuing and encouraging student feedback, encouraging appropriate faculty-student interaction, and respecting the diverse talents and learning styles of students," the statement said. "The syllabus statement you have brought to our attention clearly violates those principles. The faculty member has updated their syllabus, removing the section in question, and is now in compliance with the Faculty Staff Handbook."

What's happening now?

According to a report from WSKGF-FM, more than 100 people gathered at an early March rally to support Candela and her classroom reform, many of them demanding the school "kick racism out of Bing."

One of Candela's former students told the station that the "progressive stacking" practice only enhanced class for students of color.

"When I saw the progressive stacking, I was like, why is this the first time that I'm seeing this?" former student Winnie You asked. "It literally makes so much sense. I feel like a lot of us have trouble speaking up in class."

Candela's fellow professor, Tina Chronopolos, agreed.

Chronopolos said during the rally, “[Faculty] are worried that you know, whenever they bring up, quote unquote, ‘these difficult topics [such as critical race theory]’ that they’ll get blowback from people who feel like they’re being discriminated against.”

Candela, too, attended the rally and issued remarks of her own, noting that the rally itself "tells you something about what students are experiencing on this campus."

"That you have to write a statement to help them to feel safe coming into the classroom space, to speak their voices, to have their voices heard,” she added.

Neither Candela nor a spokesperson for Binghamton University issued a statement in response to the College Fix's request for comment.

Fellow professor of sociology William Martin also lended his support to Candela and created a Change.org petition to move the university to accept Candela's "inclusive" policy."

A portion of the petition reads, “Dr. Candela recognizes as we do that our classroom discussions are often dominated by a minority of persons reflecting societal class, racial and gender inequalities. ... Many of our students all too often feel marginalized, and discussions are constrained and limited as a result. We should not pretend otherwise.”

At the time of this reporting, the petition has received more than 972 signatures.

San Fran liberal outraged at her city's Democratic leadership exposes bankruptcy of the progressive agenda in viral critique

A San Francisco resident went viral over the weekend after she published a lengthy Twitter thread dressing down her city's liberal leadership over living conditions in the city.

Surprisingly, the woman who posted the blaring criticism is herself a liberal and registered Democrat.

What did she say?

Michelle Tandler has been a registered Democrat for 18 years. She grew up in a progressive family. She attended a progressive school. Her social circle is mostly progressives.

But if the current state of San Francisco is a representation of the progressive worldview, Tandler made clear Sunday she no longer wants to be associated with progressive liberal politics.

"Here is what confuses me about San Francisco. We have the most liberal, left-wing government & population in the country. We have a $13B budget. And we have 8,000 people sleeping in the rain this week. Can someone please explain this to me?" Tandler wrote on Twitter.

"What do progressives stand for, exactly? I thought it was about making things more fair. About standing up for the little guy. About human rights, equality (equity?), compassion. San Francisco (to me) looks like the least compassionate city on the planet," she said. "The slums of Mumbai look cleaner than the streets of downtown SF. ... We have thousands of people wandering around — looking like they are on the brink of death. ... [I]f this what Progressive stands for — I want the opposite."

What do progressives stand for, exactly?

I thought it was about making things more fair.

About standing up for the little guy.

About human rights, equality (equity?), compassion.

San Francisco (to me) looks like the least compassionate city on the planet.
— Michelle Tandler ⚖️ (@Michelle Tandler ⚖️) 1640536710

According to Tandler, the progressive vernacular — replete with phrases like "harm reduction," "housing first," "criminal justice," "social justice," "equity" — appears to be nothing more than a smoke show covering up the "most deranged city on the planet."

Where is our $13B going, exactly?

How do we only have 3,000 shelter beds when 8,000 are unsheltered in the streets?

How is this an American city?pic.twitter.com/25kGjbNdz4
— Michelle Tandler ⚖️ (@Michelle Tandler ⚖️) 1640537189

Tandler admitted that she is "starting to develop a seriously dark view" of the progressive leaders in charge of San Francisco because they have "absolute power" while ironically denouncing "broken" systems.

The San Francisco native even wants to know: "What would San Francisco look like if Republicans were in charge?" After all, Tandler explained, "Progressives tend to blame Republicans for almost everything. Yet here we are — not a Republican in sight."

Despite the monumental humanitarian crises plaguing San Francisco, Tandler observed that city progressives appear more interested in solving social issues than saving lives.

"We probably have more 'Black Lives Matter' signs up than any city in the nation. 40% of our homeless people are Black. Do their lives matter...? Or is this just about virtue signaling and moral grandstanding?" Tandler asked.

Tandler's rant against San Francisco and progressive leaders went on, but two tweets summed up the crux of her problem.

"One of my friends recently woke up to find a homeless person sleeping on the front step of her multi-million dollar home. I asked her what she did. 'We closed the blinds.' I think this is such a metaphor for what's going on here. San Francisco is turning its head," Tandler wrote.

"San Franciscans believe they are righteous because they pledge allegiance to the righteous tribe — Democrats. They believe they are moral because they believe in higher taxes. They believe they are virtuous because they believe in big Government," she added.

Squires: The real ‘American Taliban’ wages a war on children by promoting abortion and death culture

There's a short video showing a British instructor explaining to an Afghan woman why she should appreciate an early 20th-century artist who turned a urinal into conceptual art. The scene epitomizes the failure of Western cultural imperialism.

It also reminded me that the left is engaged in a high-stakes conflict that it is winning: its all-out war on American children.

After Texas lawmakers recently passed a bill prohibiting abortion after a baby's heartbeat is detected, the phrase "American Taliban" trended across Twitter. It's hard to understand how the people who don't want babies dismembered in the womb would be seen as the backward theocrats while the people who would legalize abortion up until birth would be seen as caring and compassionate.

This development shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who understands that abortion — the intentional taking of innocent human life — is one of the left's most deeply held values. The Democratic Party paints itself as a pro-woman and pro-child coalition concerned for the marginalized and oppressed. Its legislative and cultural priorities reveal a very dark alternate reality. The truth is that the left hates women and children.

Like the immoral woman described in Proverbs, the lips of Nancy Pelosi's party drip honey and its speech is smoother than oil. It all sounds tempting until you realize it's a worldview that leads to death.

Abortion is the most obvious front of the left's war on children. There were over 600,000 abortions performed in 2018, according to the CDC. Democrats are quick to point out that most of the women having abortions are low-income and many are ethnic minorities. Both points are true. Apparently the party that decries the twin evils of capitalism and racism has no problem with fewer babies being born if they are poor and black. The party that boldly proclaims "black lives matter" while on a perpetual heat-seeking mission for any institution that honors bigots from the past has no issue with Margaret Sanger's racist views or the legacy of eugenics still seen in our nation's largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood traces its roots back to Sanger's first birth control clinic in Brooklyn in 1917. To this day, about half of all black babies in New York City are killed in the womb before they draw their first breaths.

The left seethes with apoplectic rage whenever it feels abortion is being threatened, but it also has plans for the children who actually are born. Its first goal is to get the babies out of the arms of their mothers. They see women who stay home with their children as a step back in feminism's long march to turn women — in terms of priorities and temperament — into men who can give birth. Even though the research demonstrates the benefits of mothers staying home to care for their young children — something most Americans support — the left acts as if a woman has more value to her employer than to her own family. Part of the left's motivation is the knowledge that recruiting the next generation into its culture war requires thousands of hours of basic training.

That instruction starts in day care and moves to the school for some children as young as three. Once there, many kids are bombarded by teachers who have swapped a focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic for racial narcissism, activism, and protesting. Los Angeles teachers' union President Cecily Myart-Cruz recently admitted this when she claimed that it was fine if students didn't learn multiplication last year because now they know the words "insurrection" and "coup," as well as the difference between a riot and a protest. She is not alone. The Chicago Teachers Union claimed, "The push to reopen schools is rooted in sexism, racism, and misogyny." The education establishment in this country has been hijacked by partisan advocates who could not care less whether our children are literate and numerate as long as they come out every election to vote for Democrats once they turn 18. They have no problem openly admitting that critical theory is more important to them than critical thinking. What's the result? Our children are not learning. There was a time when American children learned Latin in high school. Now most need remedial English in college.

American children face attacks on all sides, from their personhood in utero to their minds in the classroom. The last ten years have been marked by growing intensity on the gender identity battlefront. Democrats are completely on board with the notion that people — including school-aged children — can pick their gender. They would never encourage an anorexic teenage girl to get gastric bypass surgery, but when it comes to other intense feelings of conflict between mind and body, they promote the radical alteration of the body. What most people probably don't know is that John Money, the man who introduced the term "gender identity," was a psychologist who was involved in the sex reassignment of a child named David Reimer in the 1960s. Money forced Reimer, who was raised as a girl, to perform sex acts with his twin brother while he photographed them. Both brothers committed suicide in their 30s.

The left hates your children. Democrats don't believe pre-born babies have inherent worth. They have no problem undermining parental authority if it means getting the opportunity to shape the minds and morals of the next generation of voters. Decades of research show children have the best outcomes when they are raised by their married biological parents. Yet it is easier to get an elected Democrat to promote pornography and sex work than to publicly affirm the role of marriage and the nuclear family in producing positive social outcomes.

Liberal ideology couldn't make Afghan women accept bathroom art as normal because the people in that country actually believe in something more important than superficial notions of identity. That may come as a surprise to American elites whose views are a mile wide and an inch deep. The quickness with which the Afghan government folded to the Taliban demonstrated that a small group of highly committed people can drive off a well-funded enemy who lacks the courage of its convictions. It's time for parents in this country to use their own weapons — prayer, petition, public pressure — to fight for what they hold most dear.

Squires: Here’s a reminder that the left, not Larry Elder, is doing the bidding of white supremacists

The L.A. Times article claiming Larry Elder is the "black face of white supremacy" is just the latest example of how the left tries to weaponize race to keep black conservatives in line. The author's position is that black Californians vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, Elder "cherry-picks" data to make his arguments about issues like crime, activists and black leaders don't like him, and he is a Trump fan who would be a tool of the Republican establishment. As is the case with most assertions of this type, the column was light on facts, data, or coherent argument.

That is because identitarian journalism doesn't attempt to persuade readers or make a case based on substance. It seeks to confirm what many people feel by using language to appeal to the emotions of readers. When the audience is black, that always means appealing to race. In this case it took the form of claims that Elder opposes every single policy black people support and that he downplays systemic racism. The article ended with this quote from a 49-year-old state senator that should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the left's political playbook: "I'm not interested in going back to Jim Crow because I want to have a Black person as governor."

The party that promotes itself as champions of inclusion, diversity, and tolerance has no problem spewing racial invective as long as black conservatives are the target. There have been multiple instances over the last year alone when the left's racism has been on public display. Women's March co-founder Tamika Mallory compared Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to "sellout negroes" who sold their own people into slavery. She said this because Cameron declined to bring charges against the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor. Megachurch preacher Jamal Bryant invoked the legacy of Harriet Tubman when he called black Trump supporters at the Republican National Convention "slaves" who could be freed if they realized they were in bondage. One self-described radical feminist college professor claimed black men voted for Trump to replicate the patriarchy and status white men enjoy. And a failed Florida congressional candidate said "20% of black men voted for Trump because they hate black women."

It's not just black liberals who engage in this behavior. One white congressional candidate in California responded to a Candace Owens tweet about crime data with a picture of a Klan hood under the words "you may've dropped this." One white liberal journalist in the late 1980s likened Clarence Thomas, the left's most reviled black conservative, to "those chicken-eating preachers who gladly parroted the segregationists' line in exchange for a few crumbs from the white man's table."

All these examples prove one thing: Those on the left have no problem with racist verbal attacks. They just want to be the ones making them. The irony is that Larry Elder released a documentary last year entitled "Uncle Tom" that questioned the treatment of black conservatives by the liberal political establishment. The film noted that ad hominem racial attacks are a deterrent to other blacks who may be tempted to share nonconforming views publicly and demonstrated how accusing black conservatives of being self-hating sellouts keeps Democrats from having to defend their actual positions.

It's a lot easier to call a black conservative names than explain why Democrats oppose school choice — whether charter schools or voucher programs — even though they are extremely popular among black voters.

Accusing Larry Elder of being a tool of racist white Republicans for opposing efforts to defund the police is an easy way to dodge the fact that homicide is the leading cause of death for black males ages 15-24, something Black Lives Matter ignores unless the perpetrator is wearing a badge.

Claiming that black conservatives want to bring back Jim Crow also allows the left to stay silent on how its welfare policies and cultural norms have weakened the black family since the 1960s. Calling nonconformists "slaves" also keeps the party that claims to value black lives from having to explain why it promotes abortion policies that have kept the black population percentage stagnant since 1970.

Black conservatives promote the nuclear family unit, churches, and other faith-based institutions, school choice, and public safety. Democrats undermine the black family through both policy and culture, want fewer black children brought into the world, fight parents who want better education options for their children, and demand fewer police in cities where young black men constitute the majority of homicide victims. Remember that the next time someone tries to lecture you about who is doing the bidding of white supremacists.

Whitlock: A lot of what the political left supports is satanic

A lot of what the political left supports is satanic. I said that Monday evening on Tucker Carlson's Fox News program. Some people loved the comment. Some hated it. Others were confused.

Tucker got it and agreed.

It's difficult to unpack such a provocative and complex thought inside a short television segment. Let me unpack it here.

Abortion is satanic. The left views abortion as a central right in its political platform. As a Christian, I'm uncomfortable supporting abortion as a right. I believe God objects to abortion.

Before I move on, let me add a bit of context and transparency. Fifteen years ago, after a night of drinking, I engaged in unprotected sex with a friend. She became pregnant. She never informed me. She moved back to her hometown and had an abortion. She told me a year later what had happened. At the time, I felt a mixture of sadness and relief. I did not want to have a child outside marriage. I had no interest in marrying the woman I impregnated. At the time, I was quite promiscuous.

I share all this because I want you to fully grasp my point of view. I am a sinner. I have no interest in redefining my sins as virtues or sound, pragmatic decision-making. Sex outside marriage is sinful and therefore rooted in satanism. Every time I've done it, it's been wrong and satanic.

My problem with the left is its aspiration to redefine every form of sin as a natural desire we should not tame. "Do what thou wilt" is the unstated overarching theme of progressive politics. "Do what thou wilt" is the primary tenet of the Thelema occult practice established by English writer Aleister Crowley, a satanist. "Do what thou wilt" means to seek out and follow your true path and will.

Let me translate that for you: If you were born a biological man but feel like a woman, go for it. Seek out your true destiny. That's why Tucker Carlson responded to my declaration that a lot of what the left supports is satanic by mentioning the transgender issue.

"I'm a pretty mild Protestant, personally, but I completely agree with you, especially the gender stuff," Carlson said. "When you say you can change your own gender by wishing it, you are saying you are God, and that is satanic. I completely agree."

All sin is satanic. I don't want to pick on people with gender dysphoria.

Gluttony is satanic. You've seen me. You know I struggle with gluttony. My unhealthy eating habits are sinful. I don't support gluttony. It's wrong. It bothers me that the left is trying to normalize obesity. The singer Lizzo is not healthy, sexy, or happy with her weight. I'm not writing this to fat-shame her or myself. I'm writing the truth. Our eating habits are satanic.

Marxism is satanic. You don't have to accept my interpretation of Marxism. Go read the words and philosophy of Karl Marx for yourself. The German philosopher argued that "religion is the opium of the people." In his Communist Manifesto, Marx attacked Christianity, writing:

"The social principles of Christianity declare all the vile acts of the oppressors to be either a just punishment for original sin and other sins, or trials which the Lord, in his infinite wisdom, ordains for the redeemed."

I mention Marx and his political ideology because the founders of Black Lives Matter are self-described trained Marxists. BLM's stated goal of disrupting Western civilization's nuclear family structure is an affront to God. The traditional nuclear family is taken straight from the Bible. Marxism, communism, and socialism all object to religion in general and to Christianity in particular.

The left supports Black Lives Matter and the Marxist principles at the root of disrupting traditional family structure as prescribed in the Bible.

Corporate media is satanic. Its reliance on false narratives makes it the perfect companion for wickedness. Satan opposes truth. He uses deception to foment division and chaos. Am I calling individual journalists, reporters, pundits, broadcasters satanic? No. I'm saying they work within a system that purposely deceives the public, and they know it.

Black Lives Matter is a perfect example. Everyone knows that police are not systemically and/or randomly executing black men. The raw data conclusively refutes the ridiculous narrative. On average, police kill a tiny number of U.S. citizens per year, especially when you consider how heavily armed we are here. Police kill roughly 1,100 people per year. About 450 of those victims are white and approximately 250 of them are black. The number of those victims who are unarmed and pose no threat is miniscule.

But the mainstream media has spent the past decade pretending that every traffic stop is a life-or-death experience for black people. Based on media coverage, you'd think black people run in panic every time they see a police officer. It's all a lie. BLM is a deranged conspiracy theory group the media uses for ratings and clicks. Working in conjunction with corporate media, the political left uses BLM and black celebrities to promote fear, racial division, and political allegiance. Rather than debate ideas, the left smears its opponents with allegations of racism that are supported by false narratives popularized within corporate media.

The Bible is rather clear on the subject of fear. There are countless verses warning believers not to be controlled or manipulated by fear. My favorite verse on fear is a popular one, 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Perhaps more important than the avoidance of fear is God's desire for us to seek and follow the truth wherever it leads. It's the open hostility to truth that reveals the left's satanic leanings.

Only the left denies that the breakdown of family structure is at the heart of the problems confronting black America. Only the left believes stopping police misconduct with black resisting criminal suspects should be a higher priority than restoring the black family.

The BLM lie is satanic in root and result. It prioritizes death by lightning strike and baits black people to ignore confronting the far more common causes of our deaths and failures.

A lot of what the political left supports is satanic.

I admit the satanic nature of my gluttony and other sins. I wish the left would own, acknowledge, and repent its sins.

Whitlock: Bill Maher and the left’s house of Trump cards teeters at the brink of collapse

Bill Maher is lying. To his audience. And to himself.

He's no longer a loyal Democrat. He's anti-Trump. And his enthusiasm for Trump resistance is rapidly waning.

The liberal comedian's HBO talk show, "Real Time with Bill Maher," has turned into a weekly ray of hope for those of us praying America snaps out of its left-wing fascism revolution.

Every Friday night, it seems, Maher finds a way to trash the woke, and every Saturday morning across social media platforms, conservatives gleefully share his most recent rebuke of the left.

The latest episode of his show convinced me that Maher has been red-pilled and that former President Donald Trump is the sole reason Maher won't admit it. Trump is the only thing holding together the Democratic Party. He fig-leafs progressive insanity.

On Friday, Maher opened his panel discussion addressing the Biden administration's catastrophic handling of our withdrawal from Afghanistan. Maher trashed Trump and then declared that the former president couldn't have made a bigger mess than the current one.

Panelist Jackie Calmes, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, vapidly responded:

"You know how you always say, 'I can't believe Trump did that.' Nothing he did would make you think he'd hit bottom, and then … Well, it could be worse."

That should be the slogan of the Democratic Party: "It could be worse."

To his credit, Maher pushed back and demanded that Calmes explain how things could be worse. She had no answer. She backpedaled, claiming she wasn't trying to defend the Biden administration.

The left is a house of Trump cards. Remove Trump and the progressive movement immediately collapses beneath the weight of its bulls**t. Remove Trump and the left can't defend the authoritarian actions it's taking to overhaul America's cultural norms.

Without Trump, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter's Jack Dorsey would be viewed as treasonous villains for their censorship of free speech. Trump resistance justifies infringement of the Constitution's First Amendment. Big Tech, especially smartphones, has too much influence over American society. On Friday, Maher ended his show explaining the negative impact of our cellular devices. Maher understands that smartphones and social media apps are disconnecting and dividing us.

Trump resistance is the lone catalyst and justification for corporate media framing the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6 as an "insurrection." The insurrection is the Big Lie. No one authentically believes you can overthrow the government with flagpoles, moose heads, and zip ties. The Taliban staged an insurrection in Afghanistan. Trump supporters staged an unruly, criminal protest that never reached the level of violence seen at a typical Antifa or Black Lives Matter protest.

Without Trump, the left would have to vigorously defend its contention that men can be "birthing people." It would also be forced to defend allowing biological men to compete against women in sports.

Would America's laissez-faire policy at our southern border exist without Trump? Our immigration policy makes no sense. It can't be defended. It doesn't serve the greater good of our country. It is as big a mess as Afghanistan. We're allowing illegal immigrants to flood our country simply because doing so is anti-Trump.

Critical race theory depends on Trump resistance for legitimacy. It can't survive scrutiny and analysis. On Friday, Maher and his interview guest, gay conservative writer Andrew Sullivan, mocked the New York Times 1619 Project and complained that the left has moved away from the goal of a color-blind society.

You should watch Friday's show. It was amazing. Maher flirted with multiple third rails, including suggesting that vaccines and masks shouldn't be regarded as a more important response to COVID than exercise, losing weight, and a healthy diet.

Watching Maher on Friday made me ponder what the world would be like if Trump abandoned politics. Would it hasten the collapse of the fascist left? If you removed the Trump card, would it force the fake leftists to confront the fraudulence of the rest of the progressives' hand?

I believe, at this point, the majority of leftists are fake. Black people, the house pets of liberals, are required to hate Trump and all conservatives. Gangbangers and drug dealers command more respect in the black community than black Trump supporters.

There's nearly as much pressure on white people. Who wants the baggage of being assumed racist for espousing conservative beliefs? Disavow Trump and supporting leftist policy protects you from accusations of homophobia, racism, and misogyny. Pretending to be a Democrat exempts you from being held accountable for any violations of political correctness. Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel co-hosted "The Man Show" and performed in blackface. He's in good standing. Meanwhile, "Jeopardy" just canceled its brand-new host because of things he said on a podcast no one listened to 10 years ago.

Maher recognizes this hypocrisy. And he likely knows that he would be canceled, too, if he didn't keep up the charade of being a loyal Democrat and devout Trump hater.

Trump hate is the Democratic platform. It justifies Afghanistan, the border, 20 new genders, censorship, critical racism theory, mandating experimental vaccines, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Sometimes I think Trump has proven his point. He awakened the public to the swamp, the financial alliance among global corporations, political elites, and America's adversaries.

Does he have more to offer? Or is he now an impediment, a blinding force that stops well-intentioned people from seeing the damage the other side is doing to America?

Could Trump save America by stepping aside and fully exposing the lunacy of the Left?

What I'm suggesting reminds me of the strategy that civil rights workers used to defeat segregationists. Bible-carrying men and women put on their Sunday-best clothes and let photographers and cameramen document the behavior of bigots. The images won the civil rights movement.

Compelling liberals to defend their agenda without their trusty Trump card would unmask their wickedness.

Rep. Chip Roy targets 'progressive agenda at the Department of Defense' with bill to nix diversity posts

Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas has put forward legislation that aims to cut multiple diversity-related posts from the U.S. military.

The bill, which seeks to combat what Roy describes as a "progressive agenda at the Department of Defense," would nix the Defense Department's chief diversity officer post and also ditch senior adviser for diversity and inclusion positions appointed by the secretary of each military department.

The legislation would also bar the utilization of federal funds to create the same or similar posts.

The bill is backed by several GOP representatives, including Dan Crenshaw of Texas, Brian Mast of Florida, Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee, Matt Rosendale of Montana, Bill Johnson of Ohio, and Lauren Boebert of Colorado.

"We need to stop the politicization of the Department of Defense and keep our Armed Forces focused on their goal of defending our national security. The Restoring Military Focus Act is an important and necessary step to push back against the progressive agenda at the Department of Defense," Roy said in a statement.

"The Department of Defense's top priority should be to develop our men and women in the Armed Forces into a united, lethal, and battle-ready force primed to defend the United States' interests at a moment's notice," he said.

The congressman has represented the Lone Star State's 21st Congressional District since 2019.

The legislation comes amid ongoing cultural debate around the U.S. over issues such as critical race theory.

"You've heard me say that critical race theory is not something that this department teaches, professes, embraces. You've also heard a couple of people at academic institutions say that they have required this to be reading for their students in specific courses," Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Wednesday, according to the Washington Examiner.

"But because that is the case does not mean that this department embraces this theory," he said, according to the outlet.

'Progressive Sounds of the Season' parody commercial from PragerU's Will Witt is tickling more than a few funny bones

We at TheBlaze couldn't be happier to pass along to our readers some holiday musical cheer from our friends at PragerU: "Progressive Sounds of the Season."

No, it's not an actual musical compilation in the spirit of K-Tel — but it should be.

If only...

Instead, it's a parody video ad for a fictional album, and in the clip Will Witt describes — and unfortunately sings to — holiday tunes with altered lyrics that are sure to please that special woke activist in your life.

"Many of the classic songs we grew up with are just out of date for our time," Witt tells us, tongue firmly in cheek. "Filled with atrocious things like acknowledging differences in genders, celebrating the nuclear family, and appreciating differences in history. Just like wishing people a 'Merry Christmas' is obviously bigoted and outdated, it's time to bring holiday songs into the 21st century by updating them with political correctness."

He then introduces "Progressive Sounds of the Season," which contain tunes such as:

 • "Silent (Mostly Peaceful) Night"
 • "I'll Be Woke for Christmas"
 • "The Little Looter Boy"
 • "Rioting Around the Christmas Tree"
 • "All I Want for Christmas Is You (to Wear a Mask)"
 • "I'll Be Homeless for Christmas"
 • "The 12 Days to Slow the Spread of Christmas"
 • "I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus"
 • "O, Come All Ye Hateful"
 • "Santifa Baby (Hurry Down to CHAZ Tonight)"
 • "Deck the Halls (falalalala Lockdown)"

Witt adds his vocals to the latter, belting out updated lyrics: "Destroy freedom with regulations / falalalala la la lockdown / use no logic and no reason / falalalala la la lockdown."

He also quips that "Holly Jolly Protest" is "perfect for when you're mixing those Molotov Cocktails," and "Feliz Antifa" is for all his "Latinx compadres out there."

Oh, and Witt reminds us that "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Venezuela" is a "California classic" that we shouldn't leave off our playlists.

He also sings along to "White Privilege Christmas," admitting "you'll be sorry after hearing this one." (Ya think?) Witt then begins crooning, "I'm renouncing my white privilege this Christmas / just so my friends will think I'm woke / give reparations to black children / straight white men shut up and listen / to hear a speech from Robin DiAngelo."

DiAngelo is the author of popular progressive tome "White Fragility" — a copy of which Witt had open during the beginning of his commercial.

Anything else?

Since "we all have that one relative" with "a disproportionate amount of holiday cheer," Witt says the album is a "perfect gift to take that away from them and level the playing field."

And "Progressive Sounds of the Season" can be yours after three easy payments of $19.99 — and he adds that if you call right now, a "Tax the Rich" sweater will be thrown in for the "small price of $69.99."

 • "Love this intelligent humor/sarcasm," one commenter says.
 • "This would be really funny if it wasn't so real," another commenter writes. "Good job."
 • "Petition for Will Witt to sing some full 'Progressive [sounds] of the Season' songs," another commenter requests.
