Ray Epps comes out of hiding in BIZARRE '60 Minutes' interview
While it seems no one truly knows exactly who caused January 6, there are many who speculate that Ray Epps had a hand in it.
Sara Gonzales of "The News & Why it Matters" wonders why he “magically” has no charges.
“Like, who is Ray Epps? Is he involved with the FBI? The administration constantly stonewalls this now that we have constant questions about Ray Epps.”
"60 Minutes" recently ran what Gonzales calls a “puff piece” on Ray Epps, and it doesn’t seem to answer any questions.
In the piece, Epps claims that Tucker Carlson is “obsessed” with him and has gone to “any means possible” to “destroy” his life.
Epps says that he was once a loyal Fox News watcher and doesn’t know how he was cast as the villain as he was supposedly just like everyone else there who believed that the 2020 election had been stolen from Donald Trump.
Gonzales accuses him of “gaslighting the American people.”
She continues, “It’s all these other people’s fault for inciting an insurrection even though he is the one literally inciting an insurrection on camera, and somehow he’s the victim.”
Epps goes on to claim that when he saw the violence, he wanted to enter the building in order to be a peacemaker.
“Isn’t it fascinating,” Gonzales wonders, “that the media has spent two years demonizing every single person who was in Washington, D.C., at the time of the protest and calling for them to be seemingly imprisoned for the rest of their lives?”
She continues, “But somehow, this one gets to go on '60 Minutes' and do an exclusive interview, and this so happens to be the one that doesn’t add up at all.”
