Kanye West slams media for promoting 'godless agenda' and defends 'White Lives Matter' shirt. Adidas announces partnership 'under review,' Ye fires back

In an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson last night, Kanye West called out the media for having a "godless agenda" and addressed the controversy over his wearing a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt.

Carlson opened up the wide-ranging interview by asking Ye about the significance of his lanyard, which featured an ultrasound photograph. The question spun off a deep conversation about Ye's pro-life views and the reactions he receives for being openly against abortion.

"I don't care about people's responses. I care about the fact that there's more black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point. That 50% of black death in America is abortion," Ye explained.

"I perform for an audience of one, and that's God."

Ye also called the media "demonic" for championing and promoting being overweight.

"The media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it's actually unhealthy," he stated. "It's actually clinically unhealthy, and for people to promote that, it's demonic."

During the interview, Ye opened up about his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. He explained that influencers in Kim's life put ideas into her head.

He explained that influential individuals and celebrities "have people that are around them at all times telling them what to be afraid of. It's not what to do or say specifically. It's what to be afraid of."

Ye told Carlson that he received threats when he wore a MAGA hat in support of former President Donald Trump. He explained that his support for the president put a target on his back.

"[They] said that I like Trump, that my career will be over, that my life would be over. They said stuff like people get killed for wearing a hat like that," he stated.

"There's a group mob," said Ye. "It's like liberal Nazis that will go up and attack you."

The two discussed the controversy that arose from a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt that Kanye West and Candace Owens wore to Paris Fashion Week.

Carlson noted that Ye was bashed in the media and called an extremist for wearing the outfit, but no one had bothered to ask him why he wore it. Ye stated that he chose to wear the shirt based on a "gut instinct."

"We are in a battle with the media. The majority of the media has a godless agenda," Ye argued.

The rapper and entrepreneur explained, "The answer to why I wrote 'White Lives Matter' on the shirt is because they do. That's the obvious thing."

Ye stated that he and his father agreed that the shirt was funny because the message was obvious.

“Days ago, during fashion week in Paris, @kanyewest, accompanied by his friend @RealCandaceO, unveiled a t-shirt that read simply, “White Lives Matter.”

Here's why he did it:”
— Tucker Carlson (@Tucker Carlson) 1665104948

Since Ye wore the outfit, Adidas announced that its partnership with the entrepreneur is "under review."

According to TMZ, Ye wasted no time firing back at the design company on a now-deleted Instagram post.

"F**K ADIDAS," Kanye West reportedly wrote. "I AM ADIDAS." In the alleged post, he accused the company of stealing his designs.

Ye also posted that, since the controversial fashion statement, a concert he had scheduled for the SoFi Stadium in California was canceled due to "inability to staff the event."

'Does someone wanna tell her?' Florida Dem INSTANTLY regrets her embarrassing attempt to shame DeSantis

Florida State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) thought she had come up with a real zinger when she decided to blast Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and BlazeTV's David Rubin for hosting an event in “literally in one of the most #LGBTQ+ friendly parts of Orlando and during Pride Month too” – but there was just one critical detail the liberal lawmaker missed.

"Wow. Super disappointed to see The Plaza Live hosting an event w/DeSantis next week -- this is literally in one of the most #LGBTQ+ friendly parts of Orlando and during Pride Month too," tweeted Eskamani, adding, "Orlandoans deserve better than this culture war BS."

In a second tweet, Eskamani removed all doubt of her ignorance by making it clear she thinks Dave Rubin is another one of those "awful" homophobic conservatives.

"It’s not just DeSantis; the guy hosting him is awful too," she tweeted about the "Rubin Report" host.

When Eskamani responded with a bit of low-brow name-calling, Rubin repeated his offer a third time:

“@ChristinaPushaw @RonDeSantisFL lol how ridiculous @AnnaForFlorida. 1K people bought tickets to see me and the governor. I’m not giving you a second of that time. Candace Owens blasts American Booksellers Association’s ‘unspeakable, explicit racism’ after it reportedly characterized her book as racist

Conservative commentator Candace Owens hit out at American Booksellers Association CEO Allison Hill for reportedly suggesting that her book, "Blackout: How Black America Can Make its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation," is racist, according to The Daily Wire.

In a fiery tweet, Owens called for an apology from both Hill and ABA.

What are the details?

The outlet reports that the ABA accidentally promoted Owens' book in July, inadvertently conflating Owens' book with another bearing a similar name.

"In July, the organization mistook a social-justice-themed teen romance titled 'Blackout,' for Candace Owens' best-selling book ... sending out a cover image of Owens' book to approximately 750 stores" the outlet reported.

Outraged shop owners immediately railed against the ABA and Hill for promoting the book, which prompted Hill in early August to issue an apology for what she referred to as a "serious, violent incident."

"It was a terrible mistake with terrible racist implications," Hill said at the time in her letter to impacted bookstores. "However, based on our investigation and the demonstrated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) commitment of these individuals, we have no reason to believe that the action was malicious in intention. The employees are very apologetic and very committed to vigilance going forward. They have been held accountable and have agreed to training, both on procedures as well as on DEI, and we have added layers of checks and balances to this process."

What is Owens saying now?

In response to Hill's statement, Owens on Wednesday took to Twitter and called for a public apology from the association and its CEO.

She began, "I am calling for a public apology from @ABAbook and Allison Hill. It is an act of unspeakable, explicit racism for a white woman to send around an e-mail slandering and denigrating an autobiographical book from a black woman who came from nothing. We cannot accept this racism."

"For those of you that don't know, the CEO of American Bookseller's Association (@ABAbook) recently sent around an email, apologizing for promoting my book and labeling my book as racist. This is the CEO, Allison Hill, who sees no irony in calling a black woman racist."

Leftist white male running for US Congress tweets KKK hood to Candace Owens, gets slapped right back as a 'racist'

A left-wing white male running for U.S. Congress responded Tuesday to a Twitter post from conservative commentator Candace Owens by tweeting an image of a Ku Klux Klan hood at her:

@RealCandaceO Yikes.You may've dropped this. https://t.co/yLk9YfILzD
— Liam O'Mara for Congress (@Liam O'Mara for Congress)1616486122.0

What are the details?

In her Monday tweet, Owens — a black woman — wrote, "The #1 violent offenders against black people are other black people. The #1 violent offenders against Asian Americans are also black people. But both #BlackLivesMatter and #AsianLivesMatter are campaigns dedicated to stomping out white supremacy because, clown world."

In response, Liam O'Mara — a history professor who's also a Democratic candidate for California's 42nd Congressional District — replied to Owens with an image of a KKK hood along with text reading, "Yikes. You may've dropped this."

Brutal backlash

Soon O'Mara — who subsequently claimed Owens "is recycling explicitly white supremacist arguments" — was feeling the heat from Twitter users, including Owens herself.

When one commenter wrote of O'Mara, "Pretty sure this a hate crime in California," Owens offered the following observation:

@honseolo @LiamOMaraIV Pretty sure a white man dropping a klansmen hood off to target a black woman is a hate crime… https://t.co/VxCXOmxlvk
— Candace Owens (@Candace Owens)1616524400.0

"Pretty sure a white man dropping a klansmen hood off to target a black woman is a hate crime everywhere," she noted. "I wonder if I could file a police report against him in CA?"

Another user answered Owens: "I sure as hell would..it is definitely a hate crime..GOD..what the hell is going on?"

Others expressed similar sentiments:

 • "You seriously just tweeted this to a black woman?" one commenter asked. "You need help."
 • "Racist Democrats back at it again with racist tweets," another commenter noted. "Who would've guessed that Liam the Racist Democrat hates black people."
 • "Being from the south, this is one of the most insulting things you could ever do to a person of color," another user said. "We approach things like this with far more sensitivity due to our past, but let me tell you, that is racist and has no place in this country. In no way is that amusing."
 • "Can only imagine what the response would be if a Republican Congressional representative sent a picture of a Klan hoodie to an African-American commentator," another user observed. "I'm glad that we're consistent on our outrage."
 • "The fact you went out and searched for this, and it is STILL up after how long? should show people that you have 0 REMORSE for your actions, that you are refusing any kind of accountability. You say 'it's inappropriate,' but here we are, and it's still up," another commenter said Tuesday afternoon.
 • "This is beyond racist. Reported. But legal investigation must be started," another user declared.

What else did the congressional candidate have to say?

O'Mara in one of his subsequent tweets wrote that "I study extremist rhetoric for a living, and this stuff is really dangerous." But another commenter wasn't buying his assessment.

"What is dangerous is a white guy trying to intimidate a black woman because he disagrees with her," the commenter shot back. "Reminds me of the 1920s when the KKK-affiliated groups were erecting statues of confederates to keep the black people 'in their place.' ...As a history guy, you should know that."

But O'Mara insisted that he's "not trying to intimidate anyone. I was trying to call attention to efforts to do that, so quite the opposite. It hurts that we still have this kind of violent racist rhetoric in America."

The commenter wasn't convinced, however: "You tweeted a white hood at a black woman because you disagree with her. That's not the opposite of calling attention to a**holes who intimidate and try to silence black people. It hurts that you are stupid enough to keep defending your stupid actions. You need to apologize."

With that, O'Mara said "I have, and will continue to apologize, sure. It was easily misunderstood and offensive, and I apologize to anyone offended by the image and tweet."

Candace Owens announces she's actually 'thinking about running for president'

Conservative commentator, author, and activist Candace Owens says she is mulling over a run for president of the United States of America.

Her proclamation — though issued not even two days ago — has received a massive online response.

What are the details?

On Saturday night, the 31-year-old Blexit founder tweeted, "I love America. Thinking about running for President."

Owens did not specify when she might consider running for president, but the U.S. Constitution states that presidents must be at least 35 years old. Owens will turn 35 in April 2024.

At the time of this reporting, the tweet has received more than 244,000 likes.

Former MLB player Aubrey Huff, an outspoken Trump supporter, piggybacked Owens' tweet and wrote, "If you do it, I'll be your VP!"

What else?

In April, Owens told Glenn Beck that she plans to run for office and that established politicians wouldn't "know what hit them."

At the time, Owens did not specify which seat she was looking to fill, but insisted that she will win if she decides to run.

"I was talking to my husband about this, and my frustration about all these governors and how dishonest they've been," she began. "I'm just getting sick of it. So I said to my husband, you know, I think I should get into politics. I think I should run. I should surprise run, and take somebody for everything they have, and expose people."

"I am eyeing a seat right now," Owens added. "I'm not going to say whether it's in the Senate, whether it's in the House, whether it's for governor, whether it's for president — but I am serious about it. I am very serious about it. We have too many people that are too scared to look people in the face and tell them the truth, and I'm not one of them."

"I'll tell you something else, Glenn, I'll win," she also proclaimed during the interview. "They won't know what hit them ... they're being dishonest, and they lie, and I've had enough of it."

Candace Owens hits back after social media slams her for blasting pop star Harry Styles' ball gown Vogue photo shoot

Conservative commentator and activist Candace Owens took fire from much of social media after blasting a Vogue photo shoot featuring ball gown-clad pop star Harry Styles.

What are the details?

On Saturday, Owens shared photos from the shoot and captioned it, "There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men."

For his part, Styles was quoted as telling the long-running fashion magazine, "There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never thought too much about what it means — it just becomes this extended part of creating something."

Elsewhere in the fashion profile, Styles added, "Now I'll put on something that feels really flamboyant, and I don't feel crazy wearing it. I think if you get something that you feel amazing in, it's like a superhero outfit. Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. What's really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. When you take away 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women,' once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play."

What was the reaction?

Actress Olivia Wilde shredded Owens for her remarks, simply responding, "You're pathetic."

Actor Elijah Wood chimed in, "[I] think you've missed the definition of what a man is. [M]asculinity alone does not make a man." In a second tweet, he wrote, "[I]n fact, it's got nothing to do with it."

After her initial remarks went viral, Owens shared a follow-up tweet about the attention, writing, "Since I'm trending I'd like to clarify what I meant when I said 'bring back manly men.' I meant: Bring back manly men. Terms like 'toxic masculinity,' were created by toxic females. Real women don't do fake feminism. Sorry I'm not sorry."
