5 transgender athletes dominate women's college volleyball game, 2 of the males accused of injuring female players

A total of five men purporting to be women played in a collegiate-level women's volleyball game, and two of the male athletes have been accused of concussing two female athletes in recent games.

A women's volleyball match between Centennial College and Seneca College in Toronto, Canada, featured two male athletes on the the Centennial Colts, while the Seneca Sting used three male players.

According to reporter David Menzies, it was revealed by an inside source that there are a total of six males playing in the women's league, five of whom are "not on any gender-affirming hormone therapy or have not had surgical gonad removal."

However, the league, which is governed by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, has a listed policy that states a "trans female (MTF) student-athlete being treated with testosterone suppression medication for Gender Identity Disorder or gender dysphoria" cannot compete on a women's team until after "completing one calendar year of testosterone suppression treatment."

Two of the males who played in the match in question were also accused by the unnamed source of causing injury to female athletes.

C.L. Viloria, who plays for Centennial College, allegedly "attacked the ball with heavy force" and hit a female player from La Cite College in the head on November 12, 2023, causing a concussion.

On January 22, 2024, it is also alleged that Seneca College's Franz Largadas concussed another female player from La Cite College when he "attacked the ball with heavy force."

Viloria and Largadas were joined by Ara Telan, Jess Garcia, and Jaque Ronquillo to make a total of five men playing in the Centennial vs. Seneca match.

Menzies reported that the game was "hard to watch" at times and added that "the men were definitely the dominant players on the court," especially in spiking the ball.

The reporter also asked Centennial's women's volleyball coach, Andrew Mallory, why he was "playing male players," to which the coach responded, "I'm not."

The coach was then asked, "What happened to chivalry?"

"It's not dead," he replied.

A sports marketing officer with the college declined to comment.

The mission statement for Centennial College's athletic department reportedly said, in part, that its "values" include "equity" and "diversity."

The college's main website features a lengthy diversity statement, which lists "diversity, equity and inclusion" as its first "guiding principle."

The school also notes that it will ensure that equity and inclusion are central to its work, while openly stating that it rewards DEI initiatives.

"We will recognize and reward initiatives that support diversity, equity and inclusion," the website stated. "We will provide resources to support the work of our employees, our students and our partners in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion."

Judge orders that Canadian pastor defying COVID mandates must preach 'science' as part of his sermons during probation

A Canadian judge ordered that Pastor Artur Pawlowski — who went viral this year for kicking "Nazi" police officers out of his church and after his arrest for holding a service in defiance of COVID-19 mandates and getting cuffed again last month on a Calgary International Airport tarmac reportedly for contempt of court — must preach "science" as part of his problematic sermons, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

Say what?

In addition to paying a $23,000 fine, obeying all COVID-19 mandates, clocking 120 hours of community service at a homeless shelter, food bank, or charity — no, his ministry work doesn't count — Pawlowski also must place on the record the scientific side of the COVID-19 debate if he continues to preach about the issue over the course of his 18-month probation, the CBC said.

Court of Queen's Bench Justice Adam Germain said last Wednesday that Pawlowski, his brother Dawid, and Whistle Stop Cafe owner Christopher Scott — who were similarly sentenced — are "on the wrong side of science" and "on the wrong side of common sense," the outlet reported.

The judge even suggested a script for future sermons, the outlet said: "I am aware that the views I am expressing to you may not be held by medical experts ... the majority of medical experts favor social distancing ... vaccine programs."

More from the outlet:

Throughout the pandemic, the Pawlowskis repeatedly hosted and promoted large, maskless gatherings for church services in Calgary and also denied health officials entry to their church in Dover, a neighborhood in southeast Calgary.

Attempts by AHS inspectors to enter the church were met with abusive language.

The Pawlowski brothers turned their arrests into a "spectacle," said Germain, adding it was clear during sentencing submissions that Artur issued a "taunt" to the court hoping for more jail time.

"It is not an unreasonable observation that the Pawlowskis reveled in their arrests and went out of their way to make their arrests the Saturday night news spectacle that it became," Germain added, according to the CBC. "He has a fervent desire that I martyr him."

What's the background?

Pawlowski made headlines in April after he recorded a video of himself kicking health officials and police out of his Calgary church who were there to enforce mask mandates.

"Do not come back you Nazi psychopaths! Unbelievable sick evil people! Intimidating people in a church during the Passover!" he says in the clip. "You Gestapo Nazi communist fascists!"

In May, he was arrested after holding a church service where "dozens were congregating without masks, with no regard for physical distancing," according to the Calgary Herald.

Later that month, arsonists reportedly tried to burn down Pawlowski's garage while his family slept.

Then came his September arrest on the Calgary airport tarmac after a trip to the United States:

'Lack of contrition'

Several weeks ago, John Siddons — a lawyer for Alberta Health Services — said Pawlowski should be jailed for 21 days for flouting a court order that he comply with COVID-19 public health mandates, the Herald said in a separate story.

Pawlowski was found guilty of contempt for refusing to allow a provincial health employee access to his church April 24, which the paper said led to the AHS civil action.

Siddons said videos of the pastor defying and expressing disgust with the powers that be demonstrate his contempt and are "aggravating factors," the Herald said.

"It speaks to Artur Pawlowski's lack of contrition ... if this evidence is inflammatory, it's merely the result of Mr. Pawlowski's own rhetoric," Siddons also told the paper.

Dire warning

Most recently Pawlowski issued a warning to America: The tyranny the world is seeing in Canada is coming for the U.S. if the nation does not "rise up."

And he also spoke to Glenn Beck on Tuesday:

What are the details?

Calgary police arrested Pastor Tim Stephens outside Fairview Baptist Church after a late-morning Sunday service, the Calgary Herald reported.

Alberta Health Services said public health measures were violated, a prior warning had been issued, and Stephens had been fined multiple times for repeatedly breaking COVID-19 lockdown rules, the paper said.

Stephens was charged with organizing an illegal in-person gathering, inciting or inviting others to meet illegally, and promoting an illegal gathering, the Herald added.

The paper said Stephens was released from custody Monday pending a civil contempt hearing next month — but AHS ordered the church closed.

The church and its members had been openly defying restrictions that most recently limit attendees to 15 people at a service, the Herald said, adding that the church's defiance angered neighbors.

The paper spoke to a neighbor who said he's been monitoring the church's behavior for months and is relieved by the arrest and church closure.

"It's heartening that after a long period of waiting and advocacy, the leadership is being held accountable and the facility is being shut," Ken Lima-Coelho told the Herald. "The last thing we need is a super-spreader in our neighborhood."

Lima-Coelho added to the paper that his 13-year-old daughter has been afraid of walking past the church.

What has the pastor been saying?

Stephens and other church leaders have said in-person services would continue regardless of consequences, the Herald reported, and that Fairview held services in an undisclosed location over the winter. The paper characterized such services as "clandestine."

Stephens wrote on the church's Facebook page that biblical teaching compels the congregation to meet in person, the Herald said.

"Our actions are not borne out of 'COVID fatigue' or simply having enough of the restrictions," he wrote, according to the paper. "Rather, our actions are borne out of theological commitments to the Lordship of Christ and his instruction to the church as revealed in scripture."

Stephens added that Fairview doesn't recognize the state's authority to intrude in church affairs, and he questions the medical necessity to limit worship, the Herald reported.

Anything else?

Another Canadian pastor, Artur Pawlowski, was arrested earlier this month for holding a church service in defiance of Alberta's public health orders.

Pawlowski made big headlines in April when a viral video showed him booting police and a health official from his church while calling them "gestapo."

Also in April, fences went up around GraceLife Church near Edmonton as police and health officials shut down the place of worship for failure to comply with COVID-19 mandates. Days later worshipers tore down the fences — only to be met reportedly by 200 police officers in riot gear sent to disperse the crowd.
