Rep. Lauren Boebert: Is Becerra the grooming secretary?

The political left has been talking a lot about gender reassignment surgeries for children, calling it “gender-affirming care.” I call it child abuse.

In a recent document released by Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, his Office of Population Affairs stated, “Gender-affirming care encompasses many facets of healthcare needs and support, [and] it has been shown to increase positive outcomes for transgender and nonbinary children and adolescents.”

Let’s break this down. First, this document is talking about young children — not adults, not just teenagers — but specifically children. Second, the demand of this document is clear: The only “safe” environment is a “gender-affirming” one, which sounds harmless until you learn that means puberty blockers, then cross-sex hormones, and finally mutilation surgeries, including the removal of the breasts of young girls and cutting off the genitalia of young boys.

Most commonsense parents in America can look at this and roll their eyes, knowing a woke administration is pandering to the LGBTQQIP2SAA (yes, that’s a real thing) base of the Democratic Party to actively engage in these very real abuses of children.

A California law passed in 2018 allows children as young as 12 years old to receive taxpayer-funded transgender treatments and services without parental consent.

In a recent House Budget Committee hearing, I asked Secretary Becerra if American tax dollars are funding gender reassignment surgeries on children. He responded, “Americans are entitled to receive health care services. If they are entitled to receive any of the services that you just mentioned, then it would be against the law for us to try and deny them that care.”

In D.C., that is politispeak for yes.

Becerra’s HHS issued another document from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network that threatens parents with the removal of their children if they do not consent to the irreversible mutilation of their children’s bodies. The document, titled, “Gender-Affirming Care Is Trauma-Informed Care,” states, “The decision for the child welfare system to become involved, in the lives of families, potentially to the extent of removing from their families or homes, should be wielded with the utmost care.”

Allow me to translate: Support the mutilation of your child’s body, or we may remove them from your custody. Don’t worry, this is all on a case-by-case basis.

This is not a threat, it’s a warning, and in fact, it’s already happening.

In Hamilton County, Ohio, a teenager was removed from the custody of her parents after they refused to allow their daughter to undergo hormone treatments.

In Los Angles, a 15-year-old girl was removed from her home and placed in foster care after her mother refused to allow testosterone shots. Tragically, the teenager then committed suicide by stepping in front of a moving train.

The truth is this is far worse than politispeak and pandering to the base. This is a concerted effort across the federal government to groom children into woke ideology. The American people deserve to know on what authority the federal government is using their tax dollars to sexualize childhood and ultimately mutilate children. And, exactly how much of our money is going to this abusive behavior? Parents need to be aware of what the Democratic Party is up to.

The border crisis, the energy crisis, and the logistics crisis have all been hallmarks of the Biden regime’s reign. Now we have a new crisis advanced by Biden’s groomer in chief: the sexualization and mutilation of our children. And we cannot afford to lose this one.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert introduces bills to resist Biden's executive orders on Paris agreement, WHO, and mask mandate

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert is taking on three of President Joe Biden's flurry of executive orders that he signed within days of being sworn in.

The freshman lawmaker introduced her first bill in Congress. In fact, she introduced her first three bills in Congress, and they all target Biden's executive orders.

In one of Biden's first actions in office, he rejoined the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Boebert's bill would prevent the United States from spending any money on the Paris Agreement until the treaty is ratified by the Senate.

"Joe Biden took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. If he wants to keep it, he must transmit the job-killing Paris Agreement to the U.S. Senate for ratification," Boebert said in a statement. "Unilaterally entering the Paris Agreement was wrong in 2016 and it's wrong now. Responsible energy production supports more than 230,000 Colorado jobs. The Paris Agreement puts these jobs at risk and will increase energy costs."

Biden signed an executive order reversing former President Donald Trump's decision to leave the World Health Organization. Rep. Boebert's bill would "prohibit the availability of United States contributions to the World Health Organization until Congress receives a full report on China and the COVID–19 pandemic."

"The WHO is China-centric and panders to Beijing at every turn," the representative from Colorado claimed. "There is no reason U.S. taxpayers should contribute more than $400 million annually to an organization that covered for China and failed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic."

"We must not let the Chinese Communist Party off the hook," Boebert said. "We must hold the WHO accountable. Joe Biden failed to do either of those things and his edict yesterday only emboldens Beijing. Rejoining the WHO without ensuring accountability for the American people is the wrong move."

Earlier this month, the State Department revealed that it had new evidence that may point to coronavirus emerged from a virology laboratory in Wuhan. China has denied the allegations that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Trump halted all funding to the WHO in April. In 2019, the United States was the top funder of the WHO, providing over $400 million, which is about 15% of its budget.

The third bill would overturn the Biden administration's mask mandate on all federal property and federal buildings. Biden's executive order also applies to interstate commerce, which means requiring face masks to be worn at airports, on planes, buses, and trains.

"You can't make this stuff up. Joe Biden was on federal land without a mask the same day he signed a federal property mask mandate," Boebert chided. "Sadly, this is what we've come to expect from hypocritical Democrats. 'Mandates for thee, but not for me.'"

On Inauguration Day, Biden was maskless on a federal property only hours after signing an executive order that requires Americans to wear face masks on federal property.

Cosponsors of Boebert's bills include Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Elise Stefanik (R-Ariz.), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Tedd Budd (R-N.C.), Ben Cline (R-Va.), Bob Good (R-Va.), Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.), Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.), Mary Miller (R-Ill.), Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.), August Pfluger (R-Texas), Randy Weber (R-Texas), Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), Jody Hice (R-Ga.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and David Rouzer (R-N.C.).

None of these bills are expected to gain much traction in the Democratic-controlled House.

Previously, Boebert caused a foofaraw after she said that she was going to bring her firearm to work with her at the Capitol. Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez later grumbled that she didn't "feel safe around other members of Congress."

After triggering Democrats, Rep. Lauren Boebert appears to notch win on gun debate at the Capitol

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is making quite the impression with her new colleagues on Capitol Hill, and she wasn't sworn in until Sunday. Boebert, a gun rights advocate, pushed for bringing her own firearm to work with her in Washington, D.C. It appears that she may have won her first battle in the nation's capital.

After she won her election in November, Boebert has discussed bringing her gun to the Capitol building. Boebert and any other member of congress can carry a firearm into their office thanks to a 1967 regulation that makes lawmakers exempt from the ban on firearms inside the Capitol building.

The rule states that no federal or District of Columbia laws restricting firearms "shall prohibit any Member of Congress from maintaining firearms within the confines of his office" or "from transporting within Capitol grounds firearms unloaded and securely wrapped." However, the politicians are prohibited from carrying weapons into the House chamber and other nearby areas.

Boebert's desire to utilize her Second Amendment right has triggered some Democrats. A letter was signed by 21 Democrats, who were led by Reps. Jared Huffman, Robin Kelly, and Jackie Speier. The Dec. 15 letter addressed to House Leadership requested a "change in House Rules for the 117th Congress to ensure that Members of Congress are held to the same firearm safety rules as the public while they are on Capitol grounds."

"Ultimately, the current regulations create needless risk for Members of Congress, their staff, members of the Capitol Police, and visitors to the Capitol grounds," the Democrats wrote.

Boebert, 34, responded with her own letter, which was signed by "83 members and member-elects of Congress in an effort to block a gun grab recently proposed by House Democrats."

"I refuse to give up my Second Amendment rights," Boebert wrote. "I'm a 5-foot tall, 100-pound mom with four children and will be walking to work and serving in one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S. I choose to defend my family and my life with all of the force the Constitution provides. I will not let a bunch of gun-grabbing House Democrats take away my Constitutional right to protect myself."

The rules for the 117th Congress were unveiled on Friday by Rules Committee Chairman James P. McGovern (D-Mass.) and newly re-elected House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who on Sunday afternoon narrowly edged Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) – 216 votes to 209.

The new rules for the 117th Congress did not appear to include the Democrats' proposed ban on lawmakers carrying firearms inside the U.S. Capitol building — giving the House freshman Rep. Boebert a win on her first day on the job.
