Nixon Can Teach Trump About The Pitfalls Of Revenge Politics
The same types of angry diversions that consumed Democrats over the past eight years could easily undo Republican governance.
A few days ago, Dr. Phil sat down with Donald Trump for a lengthy interview that’s since gone viral.
While there were several important moments in their conversation, Dave Rubin is particularly interested in the segment where Dr. Phil broached the subject of revenge with the former president.
Many would argue that Trump, who is often viewed as a political prisoner, is justified in seeking revenge on those who have made him the most targeted man in our nation’s history. But is this what’s best for America?
According to Trump, no.
“Sometimes revenge can be justified,” he told Dr. Phil. “Maybe we have revenge through success ... I want to see the country survive.”
Dave is just as impressed as Dr. Phil with Trump's humble answer.
“That’s Trump at his best,” says Dave, adding that the left-owned media is trying to convince the nation that Trump will seek revenge by imprisoning his assailants and reframing the branches of government.
But the truth is, “the best revenge for Donald Trump ... would be the success of America” — a sentiment that’s in stark contrast to one that would be made by the tyrant Democrats paint Trump to be.

An Idaho man has been arrested for allegedly killing the main suspect in his mother's murder, according to police.
Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, police found the body of Jesus Urrutia "slumped over" in a car that was running and parked in a gas station convenience store parking lot in Boise. The 39-year-old had stab wounds on his chest. Deputies began life-saving procedures. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 8 a.m., according to the coroner's report.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office declared that Urrutia’s death was a homicide caused by a "sharp force injury wound to the chest."
Deputies with the Ada County Sheriff's Office identified Raul Alexander Cuevas as the prime suspect in Urrutia's murder.
Law & Crime reported, "Later that day, ACSO deputies located Cuevas — the prime suspect in Urrutia’s death — at a gas station about 20 miles south of where Urrutia was stabbed. Deputies collected evidence from Cuevas and his car before placing him under arrest and transporting him to the Ada County Jail."
The 31-year-old Cuevas was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Police sought Cuevas as the possible killer because Urrutia is the main suspect in the murder of Michelle Luna – the mother of Cuevas.
Luna, 52, was found stabbed to death around 9 p.m. on Tuesday at a residence in Nampa – roughly 20 miles west of Boise. She was declared dead at the crime scene.
The Nampa Police Department believes Cuevas carried out a revenge killing on Urrutia over his mother's murder.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office identified Urrutia as the prime suspect in Luna's slaying, and noted that Urrutia "was known to" Luna.
Law enforcement attempted to locate Urrutia, but police speculate that Cuevas got to his mother's suspected killer before authorities could.
Cuevas is being held without bail.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office said in a statement, "The case is still under active investigation. Deputies and detectives are pursuing several different leads."

The father of a purportedly slain 3-year-old boy went on a revenge-fueled attack on his son's accused killer in the middle of a court hearing.
Desean Brown is accused of murdering 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore and her 3-year-old son Nylo. Prosecutors believe Brown stabbed Lattimore to death on Dec. 5, 2020, in an apartment in Walnut Hills, Ohio.
Lattimore was found along the banks of the Ohio River on Dec. 12, 2020. Nylo's stroller was also found in the Ohio River, but the 3-year-old boy has yet to be found. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters said Nylo's blood was found on a Paw Patrol blanket that was recovered near his mother's body.
WCPO-TV reported on a possible motive in the heinous crime, "Kimberly Kelley, a detective for the Cincinnati Police Department told the judge it appears Nyteisha was pregnant with Desean Brown's child but then had a miscarriage. She said Brown was very upset and thought that Nyteisha killed his baby, so he was going to do something to her baby, Nylo."
Deters said, “In all my years as a prosecutor, I have never seen such a cold-blooded act committed against an innocent woman and her 3-year-old baby."
Brown is charged with two counts of murder, one count each of felonious assault, gross abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. If he is found guilty, Brown faces the death penalty.
During a hearing on Thursday, the boy's father attacked the suspected murderer.
Antonio Hughes viciously walloped Brown in the courtroom attack. Hughes managed to land several forceful punches on the head of Hughes before he was tackled to the ground by police officers.
Despite being handcuffed, Hughes continued to try to attack his son's suspected killer. Four police officers struggled to restrain the furious father. Hughes was taken to the ground yet again by police, and was eventually escorted out of the courtroom.
Judge Megan Shanahan charged Hughes with contempt of court and ordered him to serve seven days in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Brown's next court date is Aug. 29.

Left-wing celebrities typically ignore Twitter posts criticizing them. After all, who really cares, and who has the time?
But Kathy Griffin apparently is still living life on the D-list — and would appear to have plenty of free space on her calendar to joust with regular folk.
Danielle McCarty – aka "Muscle Mommy Fit" and "Fit Patriot Mom" online – blasted Griffin on Jan. 9 as "despicable" for tweeting an image with a plastic severed head that looked like former President Donald Trump and the message, "Just resign now. You lost. It[']s over," LGBTQ Nation reported.
Regarding that severed head image, who can forget Griffin posing with a bloody, decapitated Trump head during a 2017 photo shoot, after which she apologized in the wake of massive backlash? The stunt earned her a visit from the Secret Service. Later that year Griffin took back her apology.
Anyway, Griffin apparently deleted her tweet that angered McCarty — but the Trump-hating comic wasn't about to endure criticism from the all-powerful "Fit Patriot Mom" without fighting back in front of her 2.1 million followers:
Oh, you shouldn’t have tagged me. You were there on Jan 6. You pulled your video, but I found it. Looks like you’re… https://t.co/X8WwarIznJ— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612046781.0
"Oh, you shouldn't have tagged me," Griffin tweeted back at McCarty. "You were there on Jan 6. You pulled your video, but I found it. Looks like you're a domestic terrorist and now we all know it, @musclemommyfit."
By "there," Griffin meant the Capitol riots.
LBGTQ Nation said someone then sent Griffin an archived copy of a video McCarty posted to Parler showing her in front of the Capitol wearing a red "TRUMP" hat.
With that, Griffin tweeted the following:
Hi Danielle. @musclemommyfit What’s that you called me, again? Ah yes, the despicable Kathy Griffin. Well, the FBI… https://t.co/1FUKWVM6oT— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612061418.0
"Hi Danielle. @musclemommyfit," Griffin began. "What's that you called me, again? Ah yes, the despicable Kathy Griffin. Well, the FBI now has this video, as well as the other ones you're featured in."
Here's one of the clips:
Danielle McCarty at Capitol insurrection youtu.be
"We got teargassed when we were in the middle of a prayer," McCarty said in the video. "We weren't even trying to rush the cops or anything. We were kneeling down and praying."
Of course, there's no evidence from the above clip that McCarty entered the Capitol — she's merely standing outside.
But was Griffin done? Not a chance. After all, she had to utterly vanquish a woman who dared call her "despicable." So Griffin dug into McCarty's Instagram and tweeted images from it:
Oh Danielle. https://t.co/uUeSCgVQVY— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612056614.0
McCarty's Twitter account – @musclemommyfit – has since been deleted, LBGTQ Nation reported, adding that her Instagram account is now private.
Griffin, on the other hand, still appears to be in a lather over McCarty's insolence, posting another tweet with other social media addresses where she says McCarty can be found.
As readers of TheBlaze know all too well, Griffin's Trump hatred — even beyond the severed head deal — is legendary:
Anarchists are calling for "vengeance" and a "week of action" over the death of "100% Antifa" militant Michael Reinoehl who fatally shot a pro-police activist in Portland over the summer in an apparent ambush:

Law enforcement officials who later attempted to arrest Reinoehl for murder fatally shot him after they said he pulled a gun.
The call to arms comes from "The Base," which conservative journalist Andy Ngo called an "Antifa extremist training center in Brooklyn":

The group's campaign declares, "'Rest in Power Michael Reinoehl. Every revolution needs people who are willing and ready to fight." It also claims Reinoehl was "murdered by the state" at the behest of President Donald Trump — for which the group wants "vengeance."

A "week of action" is planned to commence Thursday all over America in order to "avenge" Reinoehl. Here's more from the press release from the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement:
This is a call to action and a commemoration for Michael. An injury to one of us is an injury to all. We are calling for people to take actions in their cities, towns, neighborhoods, or homes. Whether banner drops, postering, demonstrations, direct actions, lighting fireworks, commemorations, or whatever creative ideas people come up with; we want the world to know that this will neither be forgotten nor forgiven.
When the State begins targeted assassinations, rule through terror becomes consolidated. Anarchists, antifascists, and all revolutionaries must stand in solidarity against these attacks and against the capitalist, imperialist state— particularly when in the fear of collapse it bares its teeth. We will not be intimidated. We will fight.
Aaron "Jay" Danielson — a police and Patriot Prayer supporter — was fatally shot Aug. 29 after a Portland pro-Trump rally that attracted a ton of pushback from leftists. (Content warning: Language):
A Portland livestreamer captured a fatal shooting near downtown protestyoutu.be
While the likes of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden suggested that Danielson was killed because his fellow Trump supporters were "inciting responses," the Multnomah County district attorney's office released unsealed court documents suggesting Reinoehl targeted Danielson before shots were fired.
Reinoehl said he believed he killed Danielson in self-defense because he and his friend were about to be attacked.
Law enforcement agents fatally shot Reinoehl on Sept. 3 after they said he pulled a gun when they came to arrest him in Washington state.
It's worth noting that immediately after Danielson was killed, the Antifa faithful celebrated his death in the street. (Content warning: Language):

"And tonight I just got word, the person who died was a Patriot Prayer person," one woman said to the black-clad crowd. "He was a f***ing Nazi. Our community held its own and took out the trash. I'm not going to shed any tears over a Nazi."
She added, "If ya'll are not angry, you're not paying attention. If ya'll are not angry, you're not with me! Everybody needs to realize what's going on in the community. Our community can hold its own without the police. We can take out the trash on our own. I am not sad that a f***ing fascist died tonight!"
