Biden admin lumped elite liberal enclaves in with 'low-income' areas, allowing them to exploit EV subsidies: Report

Martha's Vineyard is a predominantly Democratic haven off the coast of Massachusetts where the average asking price for new house listings is apparently over $2.3 million and the average household income is well over $130,000. The island is home to scores of multimillionaires and one of climate-conscious former President Barack Obama's numerous abodes — an $11.75 million, 30-acre estate.

Even though the millionaire refuge managed to drive out the poor migrants who reached its shores in 2022 inside a 44-hour window, the Biden administration has nevertheless designated parts of the island "low-income" areas.

According to a report from the Daily Caller, the Biden administration has designated parts of the Vineyard; Montauk and Fishers Island in New York; Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; Beverly Hills, California; and other elite liberal enclaves thusly, meaning they can exploit electric vehicle charger subsidy programs.

President Joe Biden's so-called Inflation Reduction Act allowed for the extension and modification of the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Tax Credit.

The subsidy — "6% with a maximum credit of $100,000 for each single item of property" — is available to businesses and individuals that install EV chargers.

Last month, the Biden White House noted that the tax credit "provides up to 30% off the cost of the charger to individuals and businesses in low-income communities and non-urban areas, making it more affordable to install EV charging infrastructure and increasing access to EV charging in underserved communities."

IRS code characterizes an area as low-income if it has a poverty rate of 20% or more, reported the National Desk. Affluent areas can still qualify, as the code allows for areas with a median income south of 80% of the closest metropolitan area or city to pass as low-income.

In the case of Martha's Vineyard, the U.S. Department of Energy's 30C Tax Credit Eligibility Locator indicates the north of the island, a "census tract in Dukes County, Massachusetts (Census tract ID = 25007200100) is eligible through 2024 because it meets the definition of 'low-income community' in Internal Revenue Code section 45D(e)."

Half of Nantucket Island, another swanky summer destination for cosmopolitan elites, is also eligible for charger subsidies on account of its "low-income" status.

The Caller indicated that parts of Cape Cod have similarly been zoned "low-income," including Hyannis, the stomping grounds of the Kennedy dynasty.

The Caller indicated that the DOE did not respond to requests for comment.

Kamala Harris embarrasses herself (and America) in front of the entire world with latest speech

Vice President Kamala Harris was brutally mocked on Twitter over the weekend for making what was possibly her most embarrassing "word salad" speech so far at the internationally broadcast Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

Harris used the phrase "work together" multiple times in a single rambling sentence, reminding many listeners of another infamous speech when she repeated the phrase “the significance of the passage of time” over and over in the span of about 30 seconds.

“Our world is more interconnected and interdependent. That is especially true when it comes to the climate crisis, which is why we will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together on to galvanize global action. With that, I thank you all. This is a matter of urgent priority for all of us and I know we will work on this together," Harris says in a video clip that has been shared more than 3 million times on Twitter.

A superyacht believed to be Vladimir Putin's was just impounded by Italian officials

On Friday, Italian authorities seized a giant superyacht that is said to be owned by Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Italian government recommended that the ship be impounded as part of the West’s ongoing campaign of sanctions against Russia.

The Daily Mail reported that Italian authorities said that the $700 million mega-yacht named “The Scheherazade,” is more than 450 feet long and contains spas, swimming pools, and two helicopter pads.

The giant yacht has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by Italy’s financial police since the end of this past March and has been docked at Marina di Carrara near Pisa since this past September as it undergoes a refit.

The Italian government’s seizure of the ship came late at night as Italian officials grew increasingly concerned that The Scheherazade was going to slip away from their jurisdiction and into international waters to avoid Western sanctions.

Reportedly, in recent days there has been a flurry of activity around the yacht. In March, the ship's majority Russian crew had been replaced with a British staff overnight.

Indicating that the ship had connections to Russia, The Italian Financial Police released a statement that said, “After verification by the fiscal authorities, it has come to light that there is a significant economic connection between the owner of The Scheherazade and senior elements of the Russian government.”

The statement continued, “On the basis of these elements, it has been recommended that the yacht be placed on the current European Union sanctions list, and the Minister of Finance in Rome has agreed.”

Mariateresa Levi, a member of the Italian Financial police, said, “I am not in a position to tell you who the actual owner is, but we are satisfied that the yacht should be seized, and in the next few hours, officers will board and impound her.”

The ship's captain has denied that Putin is the owner of the superyacht while refusing to disclose who the real owner is.

There have been claims that the vessel might belong to Eduard Khudainatov, a Russian oil tycoon who has previously been able to escape Western sanctions, unlike many other Russian oligarchs.

Despite this, activists and investigative journalists linked to Alexei Navalny, the imprisoned Russian opposition leader, are adamant that the ship belongs to Putin.

A probe into the vessel’s former Russian crew revealed that almost all of them worked for Russian secret service agencies charged with protecting the Russian president.

Los Angeles gangs are sending crews to stalk and rob the city's elite

Street violence continues to spiral out of control in California, as gangs organize crews to carry out attacks on the wealthy elite of Los Angeles.

More than a dozen Los Angeles gangs are targeting some of the city’s wealthiest residents with increasingly aggressive tactics. Gangs are sending crews out in vehicle convoys to find, follow, and rob Los Angelinos they find driving high-end luxury cars or wearing expensive jewelry.

SFGate reported that “in many cases, [gang members are] making off with designer handbags, diamond-studded watches and other items worth tends of thousands of dollars — if not more — and then peddling them to black-market buyers who are willing to turn a blind eye to the underlying violence.”

According to the police, some suspects in these robberies have been arrested but are soon released from custody, only to commit additional robberies.

The police are calling these robberies “follow-home” or “follow-off” robberies because they are often taking place shortly after victims leave luxury boutiques, hotels, expensive restaurants, nightclubs, or other pricey locations where gang members scout for targets.

Capt. Jonathan Tippet of the Los Angeles Police Department is spearheading a task force to identify and stop the individuals carrying out these attacks. He has identified at least 17 distinct gangs that operate independent “follow-home” robbery operations. Many of these gangs are located in Los Angeles’s southern neighborhoods.

In 2021, there were 165 of these robberies; there have been 56 so far in 2022. Reportedly, the region experiencing the plurality of these robberies is what the LAPD labels its “Hollywood Division.” Of the more than 200 robberies, this division has experienced 50.

The LAPD has used surveillance technology to identify gangs and crew members engaged in the robberies “rolling three to five cars deep in some of the attacks.” Once the gang members get close enough to an identified target, they blindside their victim.

Tippet suggested that the victims often don’t even get a chance to voluntarily comply with their robbers before being violently attacked.

He said, “There’s no chance or opportunity for these victims even to comply. They’re just running up to people and attacking them, whether that’s putting a gun in their face or punching them and beating them. Pistol-whipping them as well.”

Tippet said that in 23 of the robberies, shots have been fired, and two victims have been murdered.

He said, “In my 34 years on the job, I’ve never seen anything like this."

David Hogg wants to know why you don't need a license to kill humans. No, really.

Gun control activist and Harvard whiz kid David Hagg took to Twitter to ask a very serious question about gun rights in this country, and he'd like to remind the court of public opinion that he's entitled to own special level of dumb.

“If you need a license to kill deer why don’t you need one to kill humans?” Hogg tweeted, adding “Plenty of people will think this is dumb- good for you. I’m not looking out for an election and I’m entitled to my own opinion no matter how much you disagree."

Chelsea Handler says white men 'owe us an apology' and that their 'opinion is irrelevant'

The washed-up comedian and darling of the far-left cultural elite — who previously proclaimed her affections for the disgraced former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo — believes white men owe society an apology.

While speaking with Samantha Bee on her weekly podcast “Full Release with Samantha Bee,” Handler proclaimed, “Men can be so disappointing.”

She went on to say: “I know it’s not all men, obviously, I have to keep saying that, which is so annoying. My brother says, ‘Chelsea, not all white guys are bad.’ Well, you are for even saying that. Don’t even say that.”

She later contradicted this statement by proclaiming, “No one is saying all white guys are bad. We’re saying there are enough bad ones out there, that as a collective, you guys owe us an apology.”

Handler explained that white men might not individually be responsible for any wrongdoing, but as a collective they have had an “unfair advantage” over women.

She said, “The pattern of behavior [of white men] in our culture, it’s not your fault, but you have to recognize that you’ve had an unfair advantage, and that women have had to pay the price for that, period.”

Handler proceeded to proclaim that when a group that is deemed to have privilege issues an opinion or voices a complaint, their perspective is “irrelevant.”

She said, “It’s like when a white person is arguing about racism, as if they have any idea what the impact or effect is … your opinion is irrelevant.”

This is hardly the comedian’s first foray into wokeness.

In the July 2020, while speaking with NPR, Handler proclaimed that she is “clearly the beneficiary of white privilege” and that she wants to “know how to be a better white person to people of color.”

Handler told NPR that after Donald Trump became President of the United States she sought therapy to “work through her politics, but she ended up dealing with race.”

Handler said, “After taking a look at myself and coming to the realization that my success has a lot to do with my skin color, I wanted to really do something that set an example about how to contribute.”

“Because at this point,” she continued, “It’s not enough to just say you’re not racist. We have to be working to dismantle the system because we are reaping the benefits in exchange for people losing benefits.”

'The ONLY clip you need to see': Viral video sums up 'anti-trans’ protest at UNT in less than 10 seconds

Student protests over an "anti-trans" speaker took a turn toward the absurd Wednesday night at the University of North Texas.

Texas House candidate Jeff Younger, who is fighting against gender reassignment surgeries for children, was scheduled to speak by UNT’s branch of the Young Conservatives of Texas about how the Texas judiciary stripped him of his right to protect his then 7-year-old son, James, from "chemical castration" in 2019.

To recap, Jeff Younger lost custody of James over not wanting his ex-wife , Dr. Anne Georgulas, to transition the child's gender using puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Younger is now campaigning against gender-change treatments for children.

Videos from the UNT event this week show protesters shouting "F**k you, fascist," banging on desks, and screaming when Younger tried to speak. One protester in particular was willing to sacrifice every last infinitesimal remnant of personal dignity to keep the "anti-trans" monster from being heard.

New York state trooper sues Andrew Cuomo. Sexual harassment lawsuit includes former governor's aide and spokesperson, who declares: 'I'm not afraid of these ambulance-chasing hucksters.'

A New York state trooper is suing disgraced former Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo for allegedly groping her. The lawsuit against Cuomo spilled into Twitter where Cuomo's spokesperson slammed the law firm representing the alleged sexual harassment victim.

The trooper's lawsuit filed in Manhattan on Thursday seeks attorney fees and damages for "severe mental anguish and emotional distress." The lawsuit accuses the state police of violating laws barring harassment.

"Given the threats and victim-shaming that Trooper 1 has faced after she testified truthfully about being sexually harassed in the workplace by the former governor, she has made the decision to proceed with this lawsuit anonymously with the hope that she can vindicate her legal rights and move on with her life," the trooper's counsel Valdi Licul said.

Last August, state Attorney General Letitia James said, "The independent investigation has concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law."

James specified that Cuomo "sexually harassed current and former New York State employees by engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching and making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women." James noted that there were multiple women accusing Cuomo of inappropriate behavior, including one unnamed woman who was referred to as "Trooper 1."

Law & Crime details the new sexual harassment lawsuit against Cuomo:

"Between 2013 and 2021, the Governor of the State of New York, Andrew Cuomo, sexually harassed at least 11 women, including nine current and former state employees,” the lawsuit begins. “He wanted hugs (‘the hugs definitely got closer and tighter to the point where I knew I could feel him pushing my body against his and definitely making sure that he could feel my breasts up against his body’); kisses (‘he would normally go to kiss me on the cheek and he would quickly turn his head and catch me on the lips’); and to talk about sex (‘he wanted to know if I slept with older men’). He told his victims he was ‘lonely’ and asked them to find him a ‘girlfriend.’ He leered at them (‘he was fully staring down my shirt’). And he touched them inappropriately (‘[h]e placed and pressed, then moved his finger across my breasts in a way that clearly meant to show me his power and his ability to control by body and my dignity’).”

The lawsuit also alleges that longtime aide Melissa DeRosa utilized the "machinery of the State" to orchestrate a cover-up of the purported unwanted advances. The suit accuses DeRosa – who was Cuomo's former chief-of-staff – of being "specifically involved in hiding the governor’s behavior."

DeRosa's attorney – Paul Shechtman – told NBC News that his client's "only interaction with her [the trooper] was to say 'hello and goodbye.' It is not a viable case anywhere in America and is beyond frivolous."

Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi issued a statement on Thursday regarding the lawsuit.

"This claim relies on the AG’s proven fraud of a report, as demonstrated by the five district attorneys who, one by one – Democrat and Republican – looked at its findings and found no violations of law," Azzopardi said.

"If kissing someone on the cheek, patting someone on the back or stomach or waving hello at a public event on New Year’s Eve is actionable then we are all in trouble," he continued.

Azzopardi claimed that Wigdor LLP – the law firm representing the state trooper – is "widely known to use the press to extort settlements on behalf of 'anonymous claimants' – that is un-American and will not happen here."

"Gov. Cuomo will fight every attempt at cheap cash extortions and is anxious to have the dirty politics stop – we look forward to justice in a court of law," Azzopardi concluded.

— Rich Azzopardi (@Rich Azzopardi) 1645144750

Douglas Wigdor – a founding partner at the law firm – allegedly responded quickly to the accusations. He reportedly called on Cuomo to disavow Azzopardi's comments about the law firm and that the spokesperson retract the statements. If not, Wigdor said he would file an action for defamation.

Just got this. More threats.pic.twitter.com/k4o90OEhhl
— Rich Azzopardi (@Rich Azzopardi) 1645151764

On Friday morning, Wigdor reportedly filed a retaliation claim against Cuomo over Azzopardi's comments.

That was fast. Andrew Cuomo slapped with new retaliation claim for his comments *yesterday* in reaction to Trooper 1\u2019s lawsuit. \n\nAmended complaint filed this morning, as promised by @WigdorLaw to @RichAzzopardi https://twitter.com/frankrunyeon/status/1494504551549919241\u00a0\u2026pic.twitter.com/xbYAXFev5N
— Frank G. Runyeon (@Frank G. Runyeon) 1645197975

Azzopardi reacted by blasting the law firm.

"To be clear: I'm not afraid of these ambulance-chasing hucksters," he tweeted. "This is clearly protected free speech that is supported by actual facts; and while I'm no lawyer there is no way this thing against me is not going to get laughed out of court."

In August, Cuomo resigned just days after an independent investigation claimed he sexually harassed nearly a dozen women.
