'Reacher' actor loses role over vaccination status, says Hollywood cancels conservatives but seeks out liberals like Ron Perlman

"Reacher" actor Matthew Marsden believes Hollywood penalizes actors who have conservative politics, but rewards performers who are liberals. Marsden also revealed that he lost a job because he is not vaccinated against COVID-19.

Marsden alleged that conservative actors get canceled by Hollywood.

"Conservatives in Hollywood speak up against tyranny, and we get canceled," Marsden tweeted on Saturday. "The phone stops ringing. That’s all they have to do."

Marsden said liberal actors such as Mark Ruffalo, Ron Pearlman, and Sean Penn benefit by broadcasting their political beliefs.

Marsden wrote, "Ruffalo, Pearlman, and Penn say all kinds of stuff and nothing happens to them. In fact, they will be sought out because of their 'brave stances.'"

Perlman has been extremely vocal about his disdain for conservatives. Perlman launched an expletive-laden rant against Ron DeSantis in March, besmirching the Republican Florida governor as a "Nazi pig" and a piece of s**t." In 2020, Perlman called Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) a "b*tch" and challenged Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to a wrestling match. The "Hellboy" actor previously proclaimed that blue states should "separate" from red states.

Marsden then stated, "The fact is that conservatives that speak out are not supported by their 'team.' You get canceled it’s on you."

He claimed that leftist Hollywood players all band together to help each other financially, morally, and with public relations.

Marsden declared, "This is why more don’t speak out. We abandon our own. It has to change."

“The fact is that conservatives that speak out are not supported by their “ team”. You get cancelled, it’s on you. You get attacked on the left, and your team rushes to help you. Financially. Morally. With PR. This is why more don’t speak out. We abandon our own. It has to change.”

Marsden – who was born in England and is an American citizen – said he lost a job because of a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The actor noted that he is "aware of the risks involved" with not being vaccinated against COVID-19, but is firmly against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

He added, "I lost a job last week because I am unvaccinated and I will not lie about it."

Marsden did not reveal what project he lost because of his vaccination status.

Marsden continued, "If more people stood up in Hollywood, or any other profession and said 'no' then these vaccine mandates would have gone away."

"It is the same on Twitter. The trolls know they can push you around. It is never going to end," he tweeted on Thursday. "No one forces you to post politically. Your choice."

Marsden noted that differing political opinions are not a disqualifying factor in a friendship.

He quoted Thomas Jefferson, "I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend."

Marsden's Hollywood credits include "Tenet," "Atlas Shrugged," and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

“In Hollywood, or any other profession and said “ no” then these vaccine mandates would have gone away. It is the same on twitter. The trolls know they can push you around. It is never going to end. No one forces you to post politically. Your choice.”

Far-left actor Ron Perlman says pro-2A Supreme Court ruling 'for whites only' — except Justice Clarence Thomas wrote majority opinion

Far-left actor Ron Perlman on Thursday tweeted that the Supreme Court's decision to overturn a New York law requiring gun owners to demonstrate "proper cause" for concealed handgun licenses is "for whites only," Fox News reported.

It isn't clear whether Perlman took into account that Justice Clarence Thomas — the only black justice on the high court — wrote the majority opinion.

"The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not 'a second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees," Thomas wrote, adding that "we know of no other constitutional right that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need. That is not how the First Amendment works when it comes to unpopular speech or the free exercise of religion. It is not how the Sixth Amendment works when it comes to a defendant's right to confront the witnesses against him. And it is not how the Second Amendment works when it comes to public carry for self-defense."

Perlman deleted his tweet less than 30 minutes after posting it, Fox News said — but some folks didn't let his faux pas go.

"Why'd you delete this, @perlmutations?" one Twitter user asked the actor. "Did you figure out a Black man is responsible for the decision? It's like some of you are getting dumber in real time."

“Why’d you delete this, @perlmutations? Did you figure out a Black man is responsible for the decision?

It’s like some of you are getting dumber in real-time.”
— The🐰FOO (@The🐰FOO) 1656024390

Another user added, "A decision written by a black guy is "FoR wHiTeS OnLy"? Ok…"

“@perlmutations A decision written by a black guy is "FoR wHiTeS OnLy"?
Ok...😅”
— Ron Perlman (@Ron Perlman) 1656001643

Another Twitter user wrote "Damn bro that's crazy, but look at this racist I found that needs calling out!" Interestingly the user — @FDippity — posted the same screenshot of Perlman's tweet that @RonnieA1983 shared above, but Twitter slapped a warning label on @FDippity's screenshot:

“@perlmutations Damn bro that’s crazy but look at this racist I found that needs calling out!”
— Ron Perlman (@Ron Perlman) 1656001643

"A comfortable white liberal calling out a 'racist' SCOTUS decision written by a black man who actually suffered through the Jim Crow south," writer David Asman reacted to Perlman's antics. "Americans won’t buy any more of this crap."

Another user quipped, "Somebody introduce Ron Perlman to Judge Clarence Thomas."

"I think the real question here is, why does Ron Perlman, a rich white guy, want to deny minorities the ability to own a firearm?" another user added.

Deranged ‘Hellboy’ actor goes on profanity-laced tirade — against law that doesn’t exist

"Hellboy" star Ron Perlman took to Twitter to rail against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' (R) Parental Rights in Education bill, a bill the Hollywood tough guy obviously didn't bother to read before going off on his deranged, profanity-laced tirade.

Democrats and their lackeys in the liberal media have falsely dubbed the newly signed Florida law the "Don't Say Gay" bill, though the statute doesn't prevent anyone from saying the word "gay."

Perlman unsurprisingly bought the leftist lie hook, line, and sinker, as is apparent in his Twitter post below:

Content warning: Profanity:

Dear ⁦@GovRonDeSantis⁩ …pic.twitter.com/FvSkideBvz
— Ron Perlman (@Ron Perlman) 1648567192

"Don't say gay? 'Don't say' as the first two words in sentence spoken by a political leader in a state in the United States of America?" Perlman began.

"Don't say? Don't f***ing say, you Nazi pig? Say, the First Amendment. Read about it, then run for office you piece of sh**," he raged.

Perlman was immediately and gloriously chastened on social media:

Dear Mr. Perlman, Two comments: 1) please read the bill and hopefully this will assuage your concerns; 2) please reacquaint yourself with the notion of civility. You can make your points without the curse words. Cheers. [I'll retweet as well.]

Of course, not everyone disagreed with Perlman. For example, there was Lorenzo the Cat:

I love Ron Perlman, and not just because he looks like a cat. I love him for everything he says! @perlmutationspic.twitter.com/NKjldE1dKi

And this person, who is clearly still suffering from a serious case of TDS:

Hear hear! Thank you, Ron Perlman! If this authoritarian asshat Trump afterbirth seeps out of Florida, Trump's gonna look like a damaged Muppet on the Island of Misfit toys compared to him. DeSantis must be stopped. #RemoveRonhttps://twitter.com/perlmutations/status/1508826280929554441 …

'Hellboy' actor Ron Perlman says it's time for blue states to 'separate' from red states

Ron Perlman, the Hollywood movie star known for playing tough-talking, cigar-chomping loud mouths, recently endorsed the concept of a national divorce via social media.

“You don’t wanna live in my world and I certainly don’t want to live in yours,” Perlman wrote.

It’s time that every state they would elect republicans to represent them, and all of the rest of us separate. You don’t wanna live in my world and I certainly don’t want to live in yours.
— Ron Perlman (@Ron Perlman) 1643918640

Perlman’s disdain for conservatives and the Republican Party is well documented. After the passing of popular conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh, Perlman took to Twitter to express his condolences to the Devil, “who will no doubt have to spend the rest of eternity with Rush Limbaugh.”

The Hellboy actor also used his platform to accuse a disabled veteran turned ICE agent of having a Nazi symbol tattooed on him.

I know I’m a leftist, “D List” actor, so my twitter feed is probably deceiving me, but is that an iron cross tattooed on this hero’s arm? This is a mistake, right? Cuz the Iron Cross was a symbol of Nazi Germany.

Gotta be my twitter feed is leaning left again.https://twitter.com/icegov/status/1000032995384807425 …
— Ron Perlman (@Ron Perlman) 1529331563

Instead of simply apologizing when proved wrong, Perlman took the opportunity to criticize ICE, saying that the organization tends to “racially profile decent people.”

My apologies! I mistook the symbol on this man’s arm before I actually knew the facts. So again, I apologize to the man in this picture for my mistake.

Maybe it was the gusto, the relish this agency seems to project in their obsession to racially profile decent people.https://twitter.com/perlmutations/status/1008715802558672897 …

Ron Perlman’s elitist disdain for anyone beyond his leftist echo chamber isn’t a new development. Especially in recent years, Hollywood is more recognizable for its leftwing virtual signaling than for creating decent cinema.

However, Perlman’s call for secession is unique. He joins a growing list of celebrities — who frankly have more influence than we tend to acknowledge — who have called for national divorce.

Last September, on an episode of her podcast, comedian Sarah Silverman said, “If people aren’t getting along, like in relationships, they break up. So why don’t we just finally realize these states aren’t working and divide up into like two or three countries?”

(WARNING: The following video contains explicit language)

I agree with Sarah Silverman!? youtu.be

Leftist thought leaders have also called for a national divorce. Prior to the 2020 presidential election, Ben Smith, the founding editor in chief of Buzzfeed News, suggested in the New York Times that if influential blue states threatened to secede from the union, they could persuade the rest of the United States to favor their political preferences.

Richard Kreitner, author of “Break It Up: Secession, Division, and the Secret History of America’s Imperfect Union,” theorized that a national divorce would make it easier to enact large-scale progressive policies.

In the fall of 2020, while speaking to the Nation about his book, Kreitner said, “What if the United States broke apart? Would that be such a bad thing? Is it possible that the progressive policies and programs that I wanted to see put into place might be easier to enact in a smaller entity than the United States, with its 330 million people and the need to always convince people with very different attitudes and interests?”

Talk of secession isn’t only a leftwing phenomenon, however. Conservatives in Texas, in recent years, have suggested that the Lone Star State could secede from the union should Democrats “fundamentally destroy the country.”

Regardless of whether or not secession is a tenable theory — frankly, no legitimate secessionist movement could succeed without large-scale violence and economic chaos — it has rapidly gained popularity in multiple political circles.

A recent survey conducted by the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia found that 50% of Donald Trump voters and 40% of Joe Biden voters “agreed to some extent with the proposition that the country should be split up, with either red or blue states seceding.”

Despite how drastic a concept that national divorce truly is, it cannot be denied that it is becoming increasingly popular.
