Apple and Google BURIED damaging Graham Platner stories, media report claims

Outrage over damaging scandals eventually forced Graham Platner out of the pivotal Senate race in Maine, but at least two media companies allegedly helped Democrats bury those stories.

A media survey indicated that Google News and Apple suppressed stories detailing the allegations made against the failed candidate.

'Millions of smartphone users were denied the truth while Platner was politically useful and finally allowed to see it once he wasn't.'

Between Nov. 2025 and May 2026, neither news outlet published stories damaging to the Democrat's campaign, according to the Media Research Center study. These included the Nazi-like tattoo he obtained as well as offensive posts on the Reddit online platform.

The final straw came when Platner was accused of sexual assault by a former girlfriend. He denied the allegations but suspended his campaign regardless.

The MRC report found that the tech platforms ignored at least 112 stories from conservative-leaning news outlets documenting Platner's transgressions.

"For months, while Platner looked like the one Democrat who could beat Susan Collins, the two most powerful news apps in America buried scandal after scandal," MRC President David Bozell said. "Then the polls turned, Platner became a liability, and suddenly the blackout ended. News judgment had nothing to do with it."

"Millions of smartphone users were denied the truth while Platner was politically useful and finally allowed to see it once he wasn't," he added.

Google has denied the allegations.

"These claims are totally false and based on a completely flawed methodology," a spokesperson said to Fox News Digital. "The study checked Google News once a day from a single account, ignoring the fact that Google News automatically updates throughout the day, and shows news personalized to your interests and location. You can also easily select sources you want to see more often in News and Search."

Bozell shot back and defended the MRC findings: "Google wants us to believe that checking their platform once a day missed the magic window where they actually allowed negative news about Graham Platner to exist. That is an insult to the intelligence of every consumer and investor."

Apple has not responded to requests for comment about the report.

Democrats now have to choose Platner's replacement in hopes of unseating incumbent Maine Sen. Susan Collins (R) and gaining another seat in their quest to retake the Senate.

Recent polling shows that Collins is tied with three possible candidates to replace Platner in the race. The same survey found that two-thirds of respondents wanted Platner to drop out of the race.

Democrats' 'Sergeant Schultz strategy' on Chavez and Swalwell

No one should believe Cesar Chavez's and Eric Swalwell’s stories were unknown to Democrats. Far more likely is that the details behind both men’s downfalls were not unknown to Democrats; they were simply unacknowledged. There’s a big difference, and it makes all the difference. Second only to the scandals themselves is the fact that Democrats stayed silent about them while letting the men who generated these continue to ascend. California values strike again.

In the 1960s American television comedy “Hogan’s Heroes,” one of the dupes of the Allied prisoners in Stalag 13 was Sergeant Schultz. Whenever he encountered, and he frequently did, evidence of the prisoners’ illicit activities, he would say, “I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know nothing!” to absolve himself from all blame. Apparently, when it comes to the myriad revelations about Cesar Chavez and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), the Democrats are reprising the “Sergeant Schultz strategy,” only they’re not doing it for comic relief; they are dead serious. They are equally transparent.

'I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know nothing!'

Beginning in the 1960s and continuing until his death in 1993, Cesar Chavez became a cultural icon to America’s left as he sought to organize agricultural workers, who were predominantly Hispanic, in California and the West. His tactics combined nonviolence, strikes, urging consumers to boycott produce not gathered by his United Farm Workers union, and heavy usage of Catholic imagery in his actions (pilgrimages, processions, Masses, and more) and speeches. According to a bombshell NYT expose, he was also grooming and abusing young girls who were involved with his movement. He did so for years.

Thirty-three years after Chavez died, now-former Rep. Eric Swalwell is accused of similar sexual assaults. One woman accuses Swalwell of raping her in July 2018. Four other women have also made accusations of sexual assault and harassment.

This was hardly the first time Swalwell had been involved in controversy. A decade ago, he was at the center of a story regarding Christine Fang, aka Fang Fang, a woman accused of being a Chinese operative. According to an Axios story on Fang, she was a fundraiser for Swalwell’s 2014 campaign and “interacted with Swalwell at multiple events over the course of several years.”

Swalwell also had other questionable activities. He was involved in the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. As commentator Jonathan Turley described Swalwell’s role in a Hunter Biden 2023 press conference held to thumb its nose at a congressional investigation of the laptop episode: “Swalwell was standing in front of the same building aiding and abetting both a potential crime and the obstruction of congressional proceedings.”

Chávez has been dead since 1993; the first accusations against him go back decades earlier. Swalwell first began serving in Congress in 2013; accusations of questionable conduct began almost immediately. In both cases, there were many episodes and many years.

Yet during this time, we are supposed to believe that no word about these two men got out within Democrat circles. The word was certainly out about both. There were reports about Chavez’s sexual improprieties that go back to the time when he was still alive. Swalwell’s seriously questionable decisions go way back, too.

Neither the inner ring of Democratic Party nor the House of Representatives is heavily populated. People know each other. They talk to each other. Yet we are supposed to believe that none of them talked about these episodes.

Instead, Democrats were elevating both. Chávez has schools and streets named after him; there are public holidays; there is a national monument to him in California, which Senate Democrats just blocked from being abolished. Swalwell was not diverted from moving up the California Democrat ladder. Until days ago, he was the front-runner for the state’s gubernatorial nomination.

While both stories have sickening similarities, the most overlooked one is the Democrats’ ignoring them for years.

Both scandals were covered up until someone uncovered them and made all the details public. Then Democrats were forced to run for cover themselves. Now they are rushing to run from them and make us forget that they, in all likelihood, knew significant details about both.

This is nothing new in their behavior. We are supposed to believe that the same thing happened with President Biden’s incapacity. With Hunter Biden’s behavior.

The pattern of admitting only when a thing is undeniable, and despite that it was obvious earlier, is all too clear. It is not simply the product of being above the rules. It is also the product of an establishment news media that Democrats know regularly avoid covering their scandals for as long as humanly possible. And when they are forced to cover them, Democrats know they will not ask the broader question: How did you not know? And when the rumors began to swirl — as they did in both cases — how did you not bother to see if they were true?

For both Chavez and Swalwell, Democrats had to ignore evidence before their eyes. They had to ignore the evidence brought to them. They had to either explicitly or tacitly construct an excuse. And they nonetheless let both men move forward despite what they knew or would have known had they simply looked. Now they want us to believe that, in the words of Sergeant Schultz, “I know noooooothing.”

If Tiffany Henyard was 'ousted' and left a trail of financial ruin in a small Illinois village, what will she do with the $1.4 billion budget of Fulton County, Georgia?

Chicago-area Democrat mired in scandal reportedly joins all-out brawl at public meeting, loses shoe, thrown to floor

Chicago-area Democrat Tiffany Henyard — already mired in scandal — reportedly joined an all-out brawl at a public meeting Tuesday night, losing her shoe and getting thrown to the floor in the process.

During the public comment portion of the Thornton Township Board of Trustees meeting, activist Jedidiah Brown ended his time behind the microphone by telling Henyard — the township supervisor — "You gone, bitch."

'It was one thing when the guys were fighting, but when she jumped in it, I was just taken aback. I was floored.'

Video shows Brown walking forward, apparently back toward his seat, before he turns around. At that point, WBBM-TV reported the Brown started getting into it with Henyard's allies — including her boyfriend, Kamal Woods — and the fisticuffs commenced.

Witnesses told WBBM that Henyard — who was seated with trustees at the front of the room — ran toward the melee in the back of the room. WBBM said it was unclear if Henyard was trying to break up the fight or get involved in it, but "she did lose a shoe and was thrown to the floor."

Resident Gerald Williams told WLS-TV that Henyard "jumped in" to the fight and "hit her head on the table, so I don't know. She might be injured." Williams added to the station that such behavior "should never happen. I just couldn't believe that it came to that."

"It was one thing when the guys were fighting, but when she jumped in it, I was just taken aback. I was floored," resident Alicia Nichole also told WLS.

South Holland police told WLS that officers responded to the Thornton Township building "upon reports of a fight between two individuals. However, those individuals had dispersed from the scene prior to police arrival, so no arrests were made."

WBBM said the fight ended the board meeting, which never formally adjourned, and that police removed everyone from the building. Thornton Township is a little less than a half-hour south of Chicago.

WLS added that there have been no reports of any serious injuries as a result of the fight; the station said it also spoke to Henyard's attorney, who said he might have a statement later.

More from WLS:

The meeting came the day after former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot delivered a scathing report to Dolton's board of trustees, alleging a pattern of mismanagement and deception by Henyard, who is also Dolton's mayor. Henyard's attorney has not commented on the report.

Lightfoot said Henyard and members of her administration have routinely kept Dolton trustees in the dark about large expenditures including for travel, meals at local restaurants, and purchases at various retailers.

And Lightfoot says her months-long investigation uncovered similar practices in Thornton Township.

Adding to the drama, WBBM reported that Henyard had hired her boyfriend, Woods, to run the township youth program — and many on the board and in the community have questioned the work that Woods and another Henyard ally, William Moore, ever did in Thornton Township.

At Tuesday's meeting, the board's newest trustee, Stephanie Wiedeman, made a motion to put Woods and Moore on administrative leave, and the board did so immediately, WBBM said.

But Henyard tried to prevent the trustees from voting on the matter, WBBM said, adding that Henyard contended that placing Woods on leave is a personal attack.

"No, and this is political retaliation, so again, thank you for the lawsuit," Henyard said after the vote, according to WBBM. "Because you all just picked certain individuals. You all didn't come in here and do no research, so I appreciate it."
