Video: Protesters freak out at smiling, elderly man with 'I Stand With Israel' vest dancing in front of pro-Palestinian rally

A lone elderly man was caught on video wearing a blue "I Stand With Israel" vest — all while dancing and smiling in front of a mob of pro-Palestinian protesters in New York City over the weekend.

The man was in front of the American Museum of Natural History on Saturday, according to a social media post from journalist Oliya Scootercaster.

To say the man was met with verbal resistance from the pro-Palestinian protesters is an understatement. Content warning: Language:

A sampling of some of the vitriol directed at him:

  • "Get the f*** outta here!"
  • "You're a monster!"
  • "F*** you, you stupid bitch!"

One woman hollered at police nearby: "You cops are inciting violence by letting this motherf***er desecrate humanity!"

Her rant appeared to work as police officers soon approached the man and escorted him away.

A number of commenters were decidedly behind the man's actions:

  • "It’s only one guy, and they get so triggered," one commenter said.
  • "I love this guy!" another user noted.
  • "Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear tank tops," another commenter declared. "If this man sees this, please contact me. I’d like to buy you and your family dinner."
  • "This guy has got some guts!" another user observed.
  • "He's not touching any of them, but look how close they get to him," another commenter said. "Listen to what they shout at him yet he's just vibing. Good for him!"
  • "I'm confused why he's the one who gets escorted out," another user wonders. "He has as much right to be there and is not being threatening."
  • "LOL, he’s inciting violence she cries," another commenter notes. "These kids are pathetic."

'Get the f*** outta here!': Furious NYC drivers confront radical left-wing environmentalists blocking morning rush hour

Radical left-wing environmentalists blocked Monday morning rush hour roads in New York City, igniting fury among Manhattan motorists looking to get to work.

What are the details?

Northbound lanes of FDR Drive were closed at Jackson Street in Manhattan before 9 a.m., WPIX-TV reported.

Video cameras captured the road blocking as it unfolded:

Extinction Rebellion NYC was behind the stunt, the station said, adding that the group was calling on President Joe Biden to push environmental reforms with the "Build Back Better" plan. Biden was scheduled to visit New Jersey Monday to pitch the plan, WPIX added.

Angry drivers

In one clip, irate drivers exited their vehicles to confront the protesters face-to-face.

"You guys work?" one motorist hollered. "We got things to do!"

Another driver kicked and tossed the group's orange cones, yelling at them to "get the f*** outta here!"

"I f***in' work, man!" the first motorist yelled.

Also a woman emerged from her vehicle to implore the protesters to move so she could take her child to school.

(Content warning: Language):

"If we do not act today, if @potus does not act today, NYC will be underwater by 2100," the group tweeted. "It's a matter of life and death."

Motorists were advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes, WPIX reported.

More from the station:

Another protest near West 34th Street and 12th Avenue blocked all southbound lanes the same time, according to Notify NYC. Those lanes reopened around 10 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if the protest on the west side of Manhattan is connected to the protest on the FDR Drive.

WPIX — citing the city's emergency management department — noted that roadways reopened as of 10:45 a.m.

Anything else?

Extinction Rebellion has created public disruptions for a number of years to get its agenda across. On Earth Day this past April the group dumped manure near the White House to protest Biden's "bulls**t" environmental plan.

But their antics typically have made them look even more foolish:

Black Lives Matter stage vaccine mandate protest at NYC's Barclays Center to demand unvaccinated Kyrie Irving be able to play NBA games

Hundreds of demonstrators staged a protest against vaccine mandates on Sunday at the Barclays Center in New York City. The protesters – which included Black Lives Matter supporters – demanded that the Brooklyn Nets allow superstar Kyrie Irving to be able to play in NBA games despite being unvaccinated.

Demonstrators called for an end to New York City's vaccine mandate, and carried signs that read: "End medical mandates" and "No digital passports." There were also protesters supporting the Nets basketball player with "Stand with Kyrie" signs.

The crowd of protesters was extremely diverse, with conservatives with American, Gadsden, and "F*** Biden" flags, along with Black Lives Matter supporters, and a woman with a "Vegan unvaxxed" sign.

The protesters marched to the Barclays Center – where the Nets played on Sunday without Irving and lost at home to the visiting Charlotte Hornets.

Earlier this month, the Brooklyn Nets banned Irving from playing in all games and participating in practices because he is unvaccinated against COVID-19. New York City's draconian health guideline requires everyone to be vaccinated to enter indoor gyms. Kyrie was still eligible to play in away games, but the Nets barred him from all games.

The NBA ruled that unvaccinated players banned from playing games must forfeit their salary. If Irving misses the season because he doesn't get vaccinated against COVID-19, the seven-time All-Star and NBA champion stands to lose his entire $35 million salary this season.

Members of the Black Lives Matter of Greater New York organization participated in the protest against the vaccine mandate. Hawk Newsome – the co-founder and chairman of the group – led protesters in chants of "My body, my choice" and "Let Kyrie play!"

Some of the protesters knocked down barricades and attempt to storm the Barclays Center but were turned away by security.

The clash between protesters and security caused the Barclays Center to temporarily shutter its doors about an hour before Sunday's Nets game.

"Barclays Center briefly closed its doors today in order to clear protestors from the main doors on the plaza and ensure guests could safely enter the arena. Only ticketed guests were able to enter the building and the game proceeded according to schedule," Mandy Gutmann, a Barclays Center spokesperson, told CNN in a statement.

The New York Police Department's press office said no arrests were made.

Last month at a BLM protest in New York City against vaccine mandates, Newsome declared, "We are not anti-vaxxers. Some of us are vaccinated. It's an individual's choice. No one should be forced to put something in their body."

Chivona Newsome – a fellow co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York – threatened an "uprising" to the likes seen across the country following the George Floyd murder over vaccine mandates that she proclaimed to be "racist."

'This is Kristallnacht': Palestinians continue attacks on Israelis with rockets, street violence

Hamas militants continued their barrage of rocket fire at Israel on Tuesday, and the violence escalated in the streets to the point that the mayor of one Israeli town called for help and likened the attacks to the Nazi pogrom against German Jews, declaring: "This is Kristallnacht."

What are the details?

The mayor of the central Israeli city of Lod called for the nation's prime minister to declare a state of emergency amid attacks by "Islamists," The Times of Israel reported.

"This is Kristallnacht in Lod," said Mayor Yair Revivo. "I have called on the prime minister to declare a state of emergency in Lod. To call in the [Israel Defense Forces]. To impose a curfew. To restore quiet… There is a failure of governance… This is a giant incident — an Intifada of Arab Israelis. All the work we have done here for years [on coexistence] has gone down the drain."

Revivo went on to say:

"All of Israel should know, this is a complete loss of control… This is unthinkable. Synagogues are being burned. Hundreds of cars set alight. Hundreds of Arab thugs are roaming the streets… Civil war has erupted in Lod… The Orthodox-nationalist community here has guns. I'm imploring them to go back home but they understandably want to protect their homes. Petrol bombs are being thrown into [Jewish] homes. The situation is incendiary."

The New York Post reported that Hamas fired 130 rockets Tuesday just at the city of Tel Aviv alone — which has a population of nearly half a million people.

Video posted online shows Israel's Iron Dome defense system intercepting the rockets. Newsmax foreign correspondant Alex Salvi tweeted of the footage, "Imagine the carnage if these ≈150 rockets landed in Tel Aviv (population of 450,000)."

But Israel has been fighting back. The IDF announced Tuesday that they "killed the commander of the Hamas anti-tank missile unit, Iyad Fathi Faik Sharir," who "was in charge of carrying out anti-tank missile attacks on Israel."

The IDF added, "Our aircraft are currently striking additional terror targets in Gaza."

Reuters reported that over the past two days, 30 Palestinians (including children) and three Israelis (all women) have been killed in the attacks from both sides.

Anything else?

Meanwhile, the escalation overseas has poured over into the U.S. Videos circulated online Tuesday afternoon showing fights breaking out in New York City between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine protestors over the conflict.
