Chuck Todd asks Nancy Mace if a GOP House majority would impeach Biden — is literally WOWED by her response

On NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday, host Chuck Todd asked GOP Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina if she expects an impeachment vote against President Joe Biden if Republicans take over the House after the midterm elections.

Addressing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s “Commitment to America” agenda, Todd asked Mace, “Do you expect an impeachment vote against President Biden if Republicans take over the House?”

“I believe there’s a lot of pressure on Republicans to have that vote, to put that legislation forward, and to have that vote. I think that is something that some folks are considering," Mace answered.

"Wow!" Todd responded simply.

Todd later asked Mace how she would vote “if these impeach-Biden votes come up?"

Mace made it clear that she would vote based on the evidence against Biden.

"I didn’t vote to impeach the former president of the United States because I felt like due process was stripped away. I will not vote for impeachment of any president if I feel that due process has been stripped away for anyone," she stated. "I typically vote constitutionally, regardless of who is in power.”

“Nancy Mace suggests House Republicans, possibly including her, will vote to impeach Biden if they win power in November. Chuck Todd doesn’t bother to follow up by asking her what he would be impeached for. A failure all around.”

Todd was immediately slammed by leftists on Twitter for being a "political journalist," which is interesting given that many critics felt that the NBC host should never have invited the moderate Republican lawmaker onto his show.

“At this point @chucktodd is explicitly endorsing January 6 denialism by continuing to invite Nancy Mace onto Meet the Press”

“.@chucktodd: You asked a GOP member of Congress if they will vote to impeach President Biden when he has committed ZERO impeachable offenses. She says ‘maybe’ and you still don’t bother to ask what she would support impeaching him for. You are not a journalist. You’re a disgrace.”

“Such irresponsible journalism. Normalizing impeachment and chaos with no interrogation or analysis. What the point other than to provide an undeserved platform for fringe thinkers? @chucktodd please explain this.”

Goya CEO tells CPAC Trump is 'the real, the legitimate, and still the actual president.' Now his company faces renewed calls for boycott.

Goya Foods' pro-Trump CEO, Robert Unanue, is no stranger to controversy over his political views.

In January, the board of the Hispanic foods company voted to censure Unanue, a longtime, vocal advocate for former President Donald Trump, over controversial remarks he made following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, including questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election.

Last summer, Goya faced calls for a boycott after Unanue praised Trump during a Rose Garden roundtable discussion among Hispanic leaders.

So it likely came as no surprise that, as the Washington Post reported, anti-Trump forces are again calling for a Goya boycott following Unanue's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference over the weekend.

What did Unanue say now?

The businessman took the CPAC stage Sunday to again align himself with President Trump's and his supporters' ongoing allegations that the 2020 election was stolen through massive voter fraud.

Shortly after being introduced, Unanue thanked the crowd and told the audience it was an honor just to be on the same stage the former president would be using later that day for a massive keynote speech, calling the Trump the "real" and "legitimate" president.

"It's just an honor to be here. But my biggest honor today is gonna be that ― I think we're gonna be on the same stage ― as, in my opinion, the real, the legitimate, and the still-actual president of the United States, Donald J. Trump," Unanue said to the CPAC crowd that responded with a roar of applause.

Knowing the blowback he would receive for such a statement, Unanue immediately followed that with a dig at the Twitterverse, which was bound to attack him for his statement, considering what critics on social media did in January when they pressured Goya's board to punish him for his political views.

"Sorry, Twitter. I've already been canceled," he said. "You can't do it again."

Unanue went on to say that conservatives "still have faith that the majority of the people of the United States voted for" Trump and followed that with accusations that the Senate runoff elections in Georgia were "not legitimate."

The CEO's statements, of course, riled up the left, reigniting their zeal to boycott Goya over his allegations.

For example, the Post noted, "The View" cohost Joy Behar tweeted, "No more chick peas from Goya for me," in response to a story on Unanue's speech.

Former CNN host Soledad O'Brien said, "Folks at Goya should be embarrassed by their CEO."

Both Newsweek and the Huffington Post reported that they pressed Goya for a response on Unanue's remarks and whether he had been given permission to speak. Goya Foods did not respond.

California man finds dozens of mail-in ballots discarded in alley trash cans

A California man is sounding the alarm bell after he found dozens of mail-in ballots mysteriously stuffed inside two Santa Monica trash cans.

The shocking discovery comes as the 2020 presidential election is well under way in terms of absentee and mail-in ballots. Voting by mail took newfound prominence in the national dialogue over the summer as leaders looked for safe methods of conducting a national election amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many Americans, therefore, have chosen to cast their vote via mail-in ballot, which Republican critics say increases the possibility of voter fraud.

What are the details?

Osvaldo Jimenez told KABC-TV that he made the alarming discovery last Thursday. Stuffed inside a Santa Monica trash can, Jimenez discovered dozens of official ballots, along with other personal mail items, such as bank statements.

"I opened the trash can, and I see a lot of envelopes and ballots, especially ballot envelopes in the trash can, and I knew right away that was not normal," Jimenez said. "I thought it was somebody playing a prank. Nobody's going to throw ballot envelopes in the trash can."

Jimenez's wife posted pictures of the trashed ballots on social media, KCBS-TV reported.

According to KABC, Jimenez recovered the ballots and phoned police.

"If it was my ballot in there, I would want somebody to, you know, recover it," Jimenez told KABC. "Every vote counts, whichever party it is."

Shockingly, Jimenez later discovered even more mail-in ballots in a separate trash can, KABC reported.

How the ballots ended up in the trash cans is not clear. Law enforcement is investigating the incidents, as is the United States Postal Service.

Anything else?

As mail-in ballots play a greater role in the election than they ever have before, there have numerous stories of suspicious activities happening with mail.

For example, the U.S. Postal Service is investigating an incident that happened in Glendale, California, last month in which massive bags of mail were mysteriously dumped in a parking lot.

Then, just last week, a New Jersey mail carrier was arrested after police say he dumped thousands of mail pieces he was supposed to deliver. Among the pieces of discarded mail were 99 ballots.

Meanwhile, an investigation was launched in Virginia last week after six USPS collection boxes were broken into, sparking new fears that mail-in ballots could be compromised or stolen.

Election officials nationwide, however, say that despite mail-in ballots playing a significant role in this year's election, the integrity of the election will not be compromised.
