How Speaker Mike Johnson BETRAYED Republicans — Rep. Massie SOUNDS OFF

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has joined Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in seeking to oust Speaker of the House Mike Johnson before the election — and Glenn Beck is wondering how it got to this point.

“I don’t understand this whole Mike Johnson thing, as speaker of the House, I don’t understand what happened to him, how we went so wrong,” Glenn says to Massie.

Massie has his reasons and lays out three times Johnson not only betrayed his own party but the American people as well.

“He did an omnibus bill that spends more than Nancy Pelosi’s omnibus bills did, and he gave the FBI a brand-new building in that omnibus bill, and he didn’t give us time to read it,” Massie explains, adding, “that was the first betrayal.”

“Second betrayal: FISA. This is the spying program that’s been used to surveil Americans without a warrant. He cast the deciding vote on whether to have warrants or not, and he voted against warrants,” Massie continues.

Lastly, Massie lays out the third betrayal, which happened when every Democrat in the house voted to send more money to Ukraine, before waving Ukrainian flags.

“I think Speaker Johnson, if capable of having shame at this point, should have been humiliated by that display as well. I put the video of that on Twitter and the sergeant at arms told me it would fine me $500 if I didn’t take it down, so I reposted it,” Massie laughs.

“Third betrayal was that Ukrainian vote,” he says. “We gave up all leverage on any border security.”

Is Speaker Mike Johnson REALLY a conservative?

In 2018, the Daily Beast published an article titled “Meet the Double Agent Who Now Controls House Conservatives,” in reference to now-Speaker Mike Johnson.

The article alleges that Johnson was a “mole” for the House Freedom Caucus to infiltrate the larger Republican congressional groups, and with the way things have been going, Glenn Beck is wondering if there’s a chance the article may have been right.

Christopher Bedford, Blaze Media's new Washington correspondent and senior politics editor, is not completely sold.

“When he became the new chairman of the Republican Study Committee, a lot of his colleagues, Republican, more liberal colleagues, said, ‘Well, this guy’s just a double agent. He just sneaked on here. He’s pretending to not be a part of the Freedom Caucus, the conservative group, but, really, this is just a conservative takeover.'"

“I looked at that, and I looked at how since he’d become speaker, someone who I had a lot of hope for, you had a lot of hope for. ... And it’s been extremely disappointing,” he tells Glenn.

“That might be an understatement,” Glenn laughs.

“The sad reality [is],” Bedford explains, “a lot of these folks are pretty weak as leaders and people.”

“When you’re in the center,” he continues, “and you take all those arrows and all those slings and all those scary SCIF meetings from the intel community, and it’s all on you, you have to answer to that. Well, that’s when you find out who’s really a leader, and who’s just ambitious.”

Johnson's speakership in peril as another Republican cosponsors motion to vacate

As the threat of potentially being ousted from the speakership slot looms over House Speaker Mike Johnson, Republican Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona has now cosponsored a motion to vacate.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia filed the motion to vacate last month, and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky announced earlier this week that he was cosponsoring it. And now, Gosar is on board too.

"I have added my name in support of the motion to vacate the Speaker. Our border cannot be an afterthought. We need a Speaker who puts America first rather than bending to the reckless demands of the warmongers, neo-cons and the military industrial complex making billions from a costly and endless war half a world away," Gosar said in a statement.

Greene and Massie thanked their colleague for his support.

"If Johnson can do so much damage in just 6 months, imagine how much worse it can get. And we have 9 more months until hopefully Pres Trump is back in the WH," Greene tweeted.

GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, who last year instigated the ouster of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy from the speakership, has warned that in the event of a Johnson ouster with the currently thin GOP House majority, there is a risk that some GOP lawmakers "might take a bribe, take a walk, feign an ailment, and flip this thing to the Democrats."

Did Speaker Mike Johnson betray Republicans by killing surveillance law amendment?

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is under heavy scrutiny from the GOP after he voted to reauthorize FISA, which essentially allows the government to spy on Americans without a warrant.

House conservatives are outraged at Johnson’s decision to break the tie vote by siding with Democrats and the other 86 Republicans who voted in favor of the reauthorization of the surveillance law.

Pat Gray is equally outraged by Johnson’s betrayal, wondering if he can even be called a Republican after such a stunt.

“FISA section 702 passed easily. Its authorization of spying on Americans without a warrant continues through 2026, thanks specifically to Mike Johnson,” he sighs, noting that we need to “limit their time in office” and “make them legislate from their district.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), among many others, also expressed his displeasure with Johnson’s vote on a Fox News exclusive interview when he said, “I’m not so sure there’s a difference between Mike Johnson being in charge and the Democrats being in charge. ... So far, I don’t see a lot of difference.”

“Yeah, me neither,” says Pat.

Unfortunately, conservatives' vexation with Johnson is likely to continue with his upcoming Ukraine-Israel aid bill. To learn more about what’s on the horizon, watch the clip below.

Naval officer who decapitated Iowa demon statue charged with HATE CRIME?

Former Mississippi political candidate and naval officer Michael Cassidy is facing felony hate crime charges for decapitating a satanic statue in Iowa.

The co-founder of the Satanic Temple that put the statue up claimed putting the statue in a public forum was an expression of religious freedom. Cassidy drove to Iowa to see it for himself and felt so strongly that it shouldn’t be there that he proceeded to destroy the statue.

In the charges against Cassidy, prosecutors cited a violation of individual rights under Iowa’s hate crime statute. In addition, they say evidence suggests Cassidy destroyed the statue due to the victim’s religion.

“I fail to see the victim here,” Sara Gonzales says. “Is the victim the statue? The victim is the person who created this beautiful statue that nobody wanted?”

The creators of the statue are claiming the cost to replace it is between $750 and $1,500.

“Our dark gods are cheap these days,” Chad Prather jokes.

Though he’s facing legal repercussions, Cassidy is now being hailed as a hero by many on the right — and the proof is in the GiveSendGo campaign that has raised over $105,000 for his legal defense.

While Gonzales is happy he’s being helped, she doesn’t find it comforting that Cassidy now has to take on the law.

“It’s just depressing because it’s like, well, they finally stood up and did something and what are the thanks? That they get thrown into prison? Who the hell is going to stand up next time?” Gonzales says.

Chip Roy RIPS into Speaker Johnson's 'garbage' spending deal

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have finally come to an agreement on the next budget spending bill.

But Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) is furious, despite Johnson touting the agreement as a way to cut back on spending while avoiding a government shutdown.

Roy tells Glenn Beck that the bill will “hammer the American people” and that while Johnson is the new speaker, he’s simply representing “the same garbage.”

The bill is $1.66 trillion, which is nearly $60 billion more than Nancy Pelosi’s last spending bill and $100 billion more than is needed.

Meanwhile, the bill doesn’t address the border crisis at all.

“Republicans are going to go try to sell you and the American people that that’s somehow a win. Don’t believe them,” Roy says.

“I was asked to eat a National Defense Authorization Act which got rid of almost all of our policy changes we put in our version and then extended FISA over 16 months so we can have a government continue to spy on the American people, and now I’m being asked to accept this ridiculous spending deal with no real border security measures,” Roy continues.

While the deal is financially devastating, Roy is slightly more concerned about the lack of attention given to the border crisis.

“In my view, they’re actually both important, but I will take border security first,” he tells Glenn.

“Me too,” Glenn says firmly.

Rep. Chip Roy's FIERY message to federal bureaucracy amid shutdown debate

As a government shutdown draws closer, Republicans in the House have yet to come to an agreement among themselves — never mind with the Democrats.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) is at his wits' end with this federal bureaucracy, which grabs from the pockets of the American taxpayers so it can continue its “war” against them.

“What’s happening is totally indefensible,” he tells Glenn Beck.

“The current thinking in this town is that we need to leverage Ukraine in order to force border security.”

That’s a problem because “that accepts the premise of Ukraine in the first place.”

Roy explains that some Republicans are trying to “force that conversation: transparency, where the money’s going to go, how it’s used, is it in our national security interest, and if so, is it enough of that to then warrant using it as a kind of leverage point to force border security?”

In order for the Republicans and Democrats to reach a resolution, Roy believes a few things are necessary.

“You’ve got to give me cuts, you’ve got to give me something in order to buy more time to pass the appropriations bills,” he tells Glenn, noting that the House has passed seven appropriations bills already.

“Until they get signed into law, changing policies and cutting spending, then it’s not doing the American people any good,” he adds.

Glenn agrees.

“I don’t think that there is any reason to not go back to the spending levels of 2019 before the emergencies. There’s no reason. None, none,” Glenn says.

Lack of border security and outrageous government spending on matters that do not benefit the American people at all — and are instead sending American taxpayers themselves farther into debt — are where Chip is drawing the line.

“Do not ask me to continue to fund the government that’s killing my people, that’s at war with the people I represent, because I can’t do that,” Chip says.
