‘Anti-Democratic’: Reporter Rips KJP To Her Face For Refusing To Call On Him

President Joe Biden screamed at a reporter on Wednesday for asking whether he was involved in his son's business dealings.
A gaggle of reporters outside the White House peppered the president with numerous questions before he departed Washington for Chicago, where he delivered a speech touting "Bidenomics."
"President Biden, how involved were you in your son's Chinese shakedown text message? Were you sitting there? Were you involved?" reporter Steven Nelson asked.
"No, I wasn't and I don't —" Biden responded.
"Were you?" Nelson followed up.
"NO!" Biden shouted, visibly frustrated.

Biden is facing increasing pressure to answer for allegations that, despite his repeated denials, he was involved in his son's business dealings. The "shakedown text message" that Nelson referred to was first disclosed last week.
In a WhatsApp message sent in July 2017, Hunter Biden allegedly threatened a Chinese businessman, Harvest Fund Management CEO Henry Zhao, by using his father as leverage. The message said:
I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.
And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.
Another notable, but sad, moment from Biden's brief press gaggle came when he claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin was losing ground, not in the war in Ukraine, but in Iraq.
"Mr. President, has Putin been weakened by what happened in Russia?" a reporter asked, referring to the Wagner Group rebellion.
"It's hard to tell, but he’s clearly losing the war in Iraq. He's losing the war at home," Biden responded.
Russia is not fighting a war in Iraq.

The White House was not happy that a reporter dared to ask on Wednesday about a recent poll showing that a majority of Americans think President Joe Biden is "corrupt."
At the daily press briefing, New York Post reporter Steven Nelson confronted John Kirby with information dripping from congressional investigations into the Biden family.
"There is one committee trying to get an FBI file alleging that President Biden took bribes. There’s another IRS whistleblower who’s alleging there’s a cover-up in the investigation," he explained. "There’s, of course, evidence that the president interacted with his relative’s associates from China, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine."
Nelson asked, "So what do you say to the majority of Americans who believe that the president is himself corrupt?"
The reporter cited a Harvard/Harris poll, which earlier this month found that 53% of Americans — a slim majority, but a majority still — believe Biden was involved in "an illegal influence peddling scheme" with his son, Hunter Biden.
Kirby was left awestruck that Nelson asked the question, while press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to stop Kirby from answering it.
"Wow," Kirby responded.
"No, we got to wrap this up," Jean-Pierre interjected after muttering "Jesus" under her breath upon hearing the question.
Kirby, however, did provide an answer — without addressing the substance of the question — despite Jean-Pierre's attempts to interfere.
"The president has spoken to this, and there's nothing to these claims," Kirby claimed without providing any evidence to disprove the allegations.

While the White House's spokespeople don't want to broach the subject, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said Wednesday the FBI has confirmed the existence of a document alleging that Biden was involved in a "criminal bribery scheme" as vice president.
FBI Director Christopher Wray, however, has so far refused to give that document to congressional investigators despite a subpoena.
Comer has repeatedly threatened to hold Wray in contempt of Congress for not cooperating. But he has not made good on those threats.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki abruptly shut down Monday after she was confronted about Hunter Biden's laptop and asked about his recent alleged divestment from a Chinese investment firm.
The Biden administration published Monday a plan to fight corruption. The plan, titled "United States Strategy on Countering Corruption," outlines how the Biden administration will respond to corruption. Biden has identified corruption as a "core U.S. national security interest."
With Biden's plan in hand, New York Post reporter Steven Nelson asked Psaki during the White House press briefing how the Biden administration's plan to fight corruption intersects with the business dealings of the president's son.
Nelson asked:
The Biden administration today put out a big report about addressing corruption. I want to ask you two quick and hopefully pretty easy questions about that. Shortly after President Biden’s virtual meeting with the Chinese president, the first son’s attorney said that he has finally divested from a Chinese investment fund controlled by state-owned entities. I was hoping you could commit to basic transparency about that transaction, including the name of the buyer, the dollar amount, and the timing.
And the second question is: My colleague Miranda Devine has a new book out called the "Laptop From Hell," and I was hoping that you could confirm that the laptop is indeed authentic and not Russian disinformation, as you seemed to suggest on Twitter last year.
Psaki, however, immediately made it clear she was not interested in answering questions about Hunter Biden's laptop or his suspicious business dealings and called on another reporter, instead.
"Well, on the first, the president’s son is not an employee of the federal government, so I’d point you to his representatives," Psaki responded. "And as it relates to the book: I have neither had the time nor interest in exploring or reading the book. Go ahead, Tina."
"But the president's son —," Nelson responded before being cut off, "didn’t give any information on the transaction."
"Go ahead, Tina," Psaki responded over Nelson.
"I think I answered your question. Go ahead — you can go to the representative of the person who is not an employee of the federal government — go ahead, Tina," Psaki said again.
"Yes, but he doesn’t give any information on that," Nelson responded.
"I think we have to move on. Go ahead," Psaki shot back, visibility unsettled by the question.
Today WH released 'US Strategy on Countering Corruption' report. But Jen Psaki declined to give details on an arguable case study when I asked\n\nHunter Biden attorney said days after Xi-Biden summit that he divested from China firm controlled by state entities, but gave no detailshttps://twitter.com/TheFirstonTV/status/1467932551708819473\u00a0\u2026— Steven Nelson (@Steven Nelson) 1638821424
Less than one week after President Biden held a virtual summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping last month, a lawyer for Hunter Biden said his client had finally divested from BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm.
However, as the New York Post explained, details about Hunter Biden's divestment are shrouded in mystery.
All details regarding the divestment are shrouded in mystery. It’s unclear, for example, whether Hunter Biden was paid by Chinese government-linked entities that control the company — or if he simply transferred his ownership to another person, such as a family member, without compensation.
It’s also unclear if the divestment happened before or after Hunter’s father held the three-and-a-half hour virtual summit with Xi.
Meanwhile, Psaki endorsed the idea last year that the Hunter Biden laptop story was "Russian disinfo," despite the computer in questioning containing a trove of information indicating it could only belong to Hunter.
