Watch the moment TSA agents are allegedly caught on video stealing passengers' valuables

Surveillance video has been released to the public showing Transportation Security Administration agents in Florida allegedly stealing valuables from passengers during security screenings at Miami International Airport.

The state attorney's office released several video clips this week of TSA agents appearing to remove items belonging to travelers from security bins. Security footage shows a TSA agent seemingly reaching into the pocket of a small Louis Vuitton bag after unzipping it. He appears to take something out of the pocket, place it on the side of the bin, and then take the item from the tray farther down on the conveyor belt before it goes through the X-ray machine at the Miami International Airport's E security checkpoint.

Another incident caught on video shows two TSA agents reportedly working together to steal belongings from a black bag. One agent appears to unzip a pocket of the bag, and then the second agent allegedly removes something from the bag and puts it in his pants pocket.

The two TSA agents – 33-year-old Labarrius Williams and 20-year-old Josue Gonzalez – were arrested in July. They are facing grand theft charges, according to WTVJ.

Charges were dropped against a third suspect.

According to the arrest report, the TSA agents would "distract passengers as they were being screened, to steal monies from their belongings."

The TSA provided the Miami-Dade Police Department with surveillance video of Gonzalez and Williams "removing $600 from a passenger's wallet, while the passenger was in the screening process," the police report stated.

WTVJ reported, "Gonzalez was accepted into a state program where if he successfully completes it, his charges will get dropped. For the next six months, Gonzalez must pay $700 to the two victims involved and he must do 25 hours of community service and give up his airport security credentials."

The TSA said the agents had been removed from the screening line pending an investigation.

The TSA said in a statement:

TSA has removed the officers from screening duties pending completion of the investigation and administrative actions. The Transportation Security Administration holds its Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to the highest professional and ethical standards and has no tolerance for misconduct in the workplace. We actively and aggressively investigated these allegations of misconduct and presented our findings to the Miami Dade Police Department, and are working closely with them. Any employee who fails to meet our fundamental ethical standards is held accountable.

Former Miami-Dade Police Major Ignacio Alvarez gave passengers advice for securing their belongings during the security process at airports.

Alvarez told WFOR-TV, "Before I reach the security area, I take off my watch, my ring, my wallet and put it inside my bag and I never lose sight of my bag. After I clear security I go through my bag and get everything back out. I get my wallet, I get my watch, I get my phone, I get my cash, and put it back in my pocket to make sure nothing is missing."

Video: Armed off-duty cop shoots and kills gunman who burst into barbershop and killed barber

An off-duty police officer is being hailed a hero after fatally shooting a 38-year-old suspect who police say walked into a Baltimore barbershop and shot an employee to death, the Baltimore Sun reported.

What are the details?

The unnamed off-duty Baltimore police officer was getting a haircut on Saturday afternoon when 38-year-old Carlos Ortega burst into the Bladi Style barbershop in East Baltimore and fatally shot the barber, 33-year-old Rafael Jeffers.

Video surveillance captured the moment the the officer, who was armed and in plain clothes while off duty, quickly jumped to his feet and "with great bravery produced his firearm," according to Police Commissioner Michael Harrison.

Pulling his gun out, the officer fatally shot Ortega, immediately stopping him from doing any more damage.

The police officer was not injured during the exchange.

Ortega was a suspect in two other shootings that took place earlier in the day, and police are working to determine any motives that might link the three shootings. The two earlier shootings left one man dead and another person critically injured.

"We're processing three different scenes in three parts of the city," Harrison explained. "While this perpetrator has expired from his injuries, we will still need answers to these questions. ... We are working to determine the connectivity, which is a likely connectivity."

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott lauded the officer's heroic actions in a statement on the incident.

"This is something the average person wouldn't do," Scott said, "and this is something that our officers do each and every day in the City of Baltimore. We don't know what would have happened if he was not able to respond in that way, and how many more incidents could have happened tonight here in Baltimore City."

Video captures the moment a heroic pastor tackles, disarms armed suspect who stormed the church's altar

A Tennessee pastor is being hailed a hero after he tackled an armed gunman at his church's altar on Sunday.

What are the details?

Surveillance video captured the moment 26-year-old Dezire Baganda sat in front of the Nashville Light Mission Pentecostal Church on Sunday when he purportedly took out a gun and headed to the church's altar where Pastor Ezekiel Ndikumana, identified by WKRN-TV, was praying.

Video showed Baganda approaching the altar and waving around the gun while gesturing with it at worshippers during an altar call.

The pastor deftly tackled Baganda and with the help of several other parishioners was able to disarm the suspect.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police Department said that the pastor and congregants' "heroic actions" saved a church from "further violence."

Authorities arrested Baganda without incident and charged him with 15 counts of felony aggravated assault.

More charges are forthcoming, according to ABC News.

Later Sunday, Ndikumana told the station that he believed Baganda had one aim: to kill.

"He wanted to kill; that's what first came to my mind," Ndikumana said. "I would say that God used me because I felt like I was going to use the back door as an example as going on by trying to go behind them. And then I felt the feeling that I would go and grab him. ... And that's what happened."

Choir member Nzojibugami Noe added, "He was standing in the front of almost everybody. No one was behind him yet, so he could have done anything."

According to the station, Baganda was not a member of the church, but had attended services in the past.

Church leaders in February reportedly asked Baganda not to return to the church after he was said to interrupt pastors during sermons.

Witnesses said that as police were taking Baganda into custody, he ranted about how all churches and schools needed to be "shot up."

"God wanted to show that he's a powerful god," Ndikumana added. "One main thing I said, we had faith."

What else is there to know?

USA Today reported that as of Monday, Baganda remained jailed in Davidson County on a $375,000 bond.

Baganda is set to appear before a judge Wednesday.

Noe added that Ndikumana, a Burundi immigrant who has led the church since 2009, likely saved many lives with his heroism.

"It happened real fast," Noe recalled. "He snuck right behind me as soon as he got up and snagged to the left pretending to go out, then quickly quickly got on him. ... It was very amazing."

Shocking video shows shooting erupt after Burger King customer accuses employee of using racial slur

A shocking surveillance video showed the moment a violent argument between a Burger King customer and employees moved into the parking lot and turned into a shooting in Glendale, Arizona.

The video, taken in March and obtained by KSAZ-TV, showed a customer angrily accosting employees inside the restaurant after arguing with them in the drive-thru.

Police said that the customer was identified as 22-year-old Dakota Kern, who was riding in the car with her friend who was picking up a Postmates order at the restaurant.

She claimed that one of the employees called her friend a racial slur, and they responded by throwing objects at them, hitting one employee in the stomach.

The feud then continued into the parking lot when Kern attempted to leave and the employees went outside to take a cellphone photograph of her license plate.

That's when the video shows Kern pull a gun and fire at the employees. She chases one of the employees around the back of the restaurant.

Police say that one bullet hit the headrest of a car that was passing by the incident, and another struck a separate unoccupied car, but no one was hurt.

Kern was arrested by police later at her home in Phoenix and charged with eight counts, including three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and five other charges.

Police said that she told them she believed she saw a black object in one of the employee's hands at the time of the shooting.

"When [Kern] was confronted with the fact that she continued chasing and shooting at the victim as he ran away, she admitted to this and admitted it was not reasonable to continue shooting," said the arrest report.

Kern was on probation at the time of the incident.

VIDEO: Suspect carries out gruesome beating on woman pumping gas — and bystanders do nothing to help

Officers are investigating after a suspect approached a woman at a gas station and inflicted upon her a gruesome beating, according to KTTV-TV.

Authorities say that a person who is believed to be the suspect was taken into custody as of Friday night. No other information about the suspect has been released at the time of this reporting.

What are the details?

The female victim, who remains unnamed, was pumping gas at a Gardena, California, gas station on May 30 when a large, shirtless man pulled up in a battered SUV and calmly walked toward the woman as she filled up her vehicle's gas tank.

According to the victim — and corroborated by surveillance video — the male walked toward the female victim and punched her in the head. She immediately dropped to the ground and the suspect continued raining blows upon her. Video of the incident showed the suspect throwing at least 10 punches as the woman was on the ground.

KTTV reported that while the woman was on the ground, the suspect also grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head against her vehicle and against the pavement "multiple times."

Following the vicious attack, the victim re-entered his SUV and drove away.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. A release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated that the woman was released to her home following the attack, where she continues to recuperate.

Bystanders, as shown in the surveillance footage, watched the incident unfold without stepping in to assist the woman.

During the investigation, the victim told authorities that she had no idea who the suspect was and that he did not take any of her personal belongings during the attack.

The sheriff's department said that a second woman came forward to authorities after seeing the surveillance video and told deputies that she, too, was attacked the day before in the Willowbrook area.

Those with any further information on the heinous attack are asked to contact Detective K. McInnis at (323) 568-4800 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

Surveillance video captures the moment a suspect reportedly tries to rape a woman in broad daylight

Police are seeking the whereabouts of a suspect who reportedly tried to rape a woman Saturday morning in broad daylight in Manhattan, the New York Post reported on Monday.

What are the details?

According to the outlet, surveillance video captured the moment an unidentified suspect approached a woman from behind as she walked on East 33rd Street near Madison Avenue around 7 a.m. local time.

The suspect then reportedly grabbed the 27-year-old suspect by her throat, shoved her against a storefront, and pulled down his pants. The woman, however, was able to fight back and break away from the suspect.

The suspect, according to surveillance video, appears to be a black male who was wearing dark pants, a gray shirt, and a mask, fled from the scene on foot.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene where they examined the victim. She was treated for a minor cut to the head and was released. She is expected to recover.

WABC-TV reported that anyone with information on the attack is asked to call the New York Police Department's Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-8477.

What else?

A similar act of aggression took place just two weeks ago in Manhattan.

WPIX-TV reported that police are seeking a suspect for an attempted sexual assault that took place around 12:40 a.m. on West 52nd Street.

The suspect reportedly shoved the victim, a 23-year-old woman, to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her.

When the victim resisted, the suspect reportedly fled on foot.

The woman suffered bumps and bruises, according to police, but was expected to recuperate.

Just last week, a suspect reportedly assaulted and raped a woman in Long Island in broad daylight.

According to WABC-TV, Suffolk County Police detectives said that the assault took place in a wooded area in Coram.

The woman was walking along a trail around 1:45 p.m. during the last week of May when a suspect approached and raped her.

Acting Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron of the Suffolk County Police Department said, "[The victim] reports that she observed an individual following her, a male. At some point, he jumped in front of her and grabbed her. That then resulted in an extremely violent assault to her, where at one point she was knocked unconscious and raped."

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police described the male suspect as having a "dark complexion with a medium build and unshaven."

"The detective lieutenant reports to me there is a tremendous amount of his staff and other staff from our police department working on it. It's an extremely high priority for us to solve this case," Cameron said. "I would say a forcible rape out in the public, in broad daylight, is very, very unusual in Suffolk County. It's a very unusual event and we want to solve this case as soon as possible."
