7 reasons why this was the best and worst Pride Month yet



July is here, which means we made it through another Pride Month! Since the 1970s when what used to be called just the gay community first started designating June as the month for gay rights advocacy, we’ve seen parades, events, and the like grow more extreme every year. Now, half the alphabet is employed to describe the ever-increasing number of gender identities; children are routinely dragged into the mix; and sexual fetishes are normalized and celebrated.

However, “this Pride Month in 2025 was very different than Pride Month 2024 or 2023 or 2022,” says Liz Wheeler. “Something in our culture has changed.”

On the latest episode of “The Liz Wheeler Show,” Liz listed out seven reasons 2025’s Pride Month was both the best and worst one to date.

1. Glenn Greenwald sex tape leaked

Just as Pride Month was kicking off, renowned investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald was swept into a scandal when a gay sex tape depicting him engaging in consensual acts that involved a maid’s outfit, fetish behavior, and acts of sexual humiliation was leaked in what he called a "maliciously political" attack.

“Greenwald exposed to the world quite literally what a homosexual lifestyle really is — the reality of the gay lifestyle,” says Liz.

When confronted about the tape, Greenwald “defended” his behavior and even claimed “he was proud.”

“I don’t think Glenn Greenwald brought a lot of people to the LGBTQ+++ side of the aisle this Pride Month,” says Liz.

2. Jojo Siwa likes men now

American singer, dancer, and actress Jojo Siwa launched her career as a child star on the reality TV show “Dance Moms” in 2015, later gaining fame through her vibrant YouTube presence, music singles, and colorful, bow-centric brand.

“[She's] identified as a lesbian from the time she was 17 years old,” but during Pride Month this year, Siwa confessed “she's in love with a man,” “they're talking marriage,” and “she no longer identifies as a lesbian,” says Liz.

But this wasn’t just a sudden change in preference. Siwa also confessed that she was “pressured” into identifying as a lesbian by the supposedly tolerant and accepting LGBTQ+ community.

“As a result of this bombshell revelation, Jojo Siwa was canceled by a massive Pride event” due to “a scheduling conflict,” says Liz, adding sarcastically, “Yeah, I bet it was a scheduling conflict.”

3. SCOTUS says parents CAN opt kids out of LGBTQ+ curriculum

On June 27, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Mahmoud v. Taylor that Maryland parents have a First Amendment right to opt their children out of public school classes using LGBTQ-themed storybooks, citing religious freedom.

“Parental rights won; grooming of children lost,” says Liz.

4. Trump put California on notice

President Donald Trump threatened to withhold federal funding from California after transgender athlete AB Hernandez, a 16-year-old biological male, won girls’ high jump and triple jump titles at the state track and field championships, stripping the rightful female winners of their titles.

Trump called the state out for violating Title IX and gave it 10 days to comply with his executive order, prompting the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) to adjust its rules. However, full compliance with federal law has not happened.

5. Target listened

During 2023 and 2024’s Pride Months, Target debuted Pride collections that included “tuck-friendly” swimsuits, LGBTQ-themed children’s and baby clothing, and pro-trans merchandise designed by a self-proclaimed Satanist.

Liz was one of millions who joined the nationwide boycott against Target.

And it worked. This year, the Pride collection has been replaced with patriotic Independence Day-themed merchandise.

“Now you walk into a Target and you see July 4 stuff – red, white, and blue fireworks, patriotism plastered on the walls,” and “you do not see ‘trans the kids’ paraphernalia,” Liz celebrates.

6. Riley Gaines: 1, Simone Biles: 0

In early June, Olympic gold gymnast icon Simone Biles lashed out at NCAA champion swimmer and women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines when Gaines commented on a post from the Minnesota State High School League celebrating Champlin Park High School’s girls’ softball team, which includes a transgender pitcher. “Comments off lol. To be expected when your star player is a boy,” Gaines wrote.

Biles, in a now deleted tweet, responded: “You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!!”

A back-and-forth feud quickly sparked, with Gaines accusing Biles of being a “male-apologist at the expense of young girls’ dreams” and Biles firing back with nasty character attacks, such as, “Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.”

The dispute ended with Biles apologizing for her body-shaming comments and deleting her X account.

“Riley Gaines made gold medalist Simone Biles … the best female gymnast that ever lived … delete her X account,” says Liz. “If that’s not a win, I don’t know what is.”

7. Anti-ICE riots stole Pride parade media coverage

“You didn't see a lot of coverage this year of Pride parades, did you?” asks Liz. “No, instead we saw anti-ICE riots and really lame boomer No Kings Day protests.” Even better, “the anti-ICE riots were exposed as being paid-for, staged Marxist violence, and the No Kings Day riots were … pathetic, and the people involved in them were losers.”

Woke pastor teams up with Al Sharpton to revive Target’s woke agenda



Dr. Jamal Bryant, a liberal black preacher at a Baptist megachurch in Georgia, is angry that Target stores have dropped the secular left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative. And so, along with Al Sharpton, he has urged black people to boycott Target.

Bryant is leading a deceitful political scam while insisting he is a man who seeks to help black people. DEI has never been about that. Instead, proponents of DEI play the race card, using black Americans to advance what amounts to a godless agenda. Worse, in pressuring Target to restore DEI, this man of the cloth is undermining the gains Christians have made in getting the retailer to remove homosexual-themed children’s clothing from their stores.

Should Bryant’s boycott grow enough to overwhelm complacent Christians, it could possibly provide Target a new political lifeline (and excuse) to reverse course on DEI.

As many will recall, back in 2023, Target made national news when conservative influencers and media outlets reported how the national retailer was using customer profits to target children with a marketing campaign promoting pro-homosexual-themed apparel. This was bad enough by itself.

You boycotted, Target listened

What added insult to injury was the way Target seemed to be riding a wave of some organized propaganda campaign pushing drag-queen story hours — where perverse men dressed in women’s clothing would read books to children — often while behaving in lewd and suggestive ways.

As a result, a tsunami of public outrage ensued, and an untold number of Americans immediately decided to boycott Target stores.

It made a difference: Target got the message that the bulk of its consumers reject the woke agenda. In June 2024, the retailer announced that it would no longer sell children’s apparel as part of its “Pride Collection.” Even though Target still sells merchandise that promotes the homosexual lifestyle, the removal of this apparel from the children’s departments is nonetheless a victory for morality.

This victory was followed by President Donald Trump’s executive order against DEI in January, which prompted Target to join other major companies — including Walmart, McDonald’s, and Ford — in announcing it would end several corporate DEI initiatives.

A counter-boycott

This is when the left-wing preacher Bryant stepped into the breach to stage a counter-boycott that attempted to mimic what conservatives had done.

Protesting against the corporate practices that include selling homosexual-themed paraphernalia to children is an odd move for a man with the title of preacher — one would hope he is in agreement with biblical values.

In fact, Bryant has never publicly denounced Target’s previous practices. Yet, he’s chosen now to speak up and fight for Target to restore DEI. And so has Twin Cities Pride, a homosexual activist group, which also lashed out at Target for ending its DEI initiatives.

Seeing that Bryant is taking the same side as Twin Cities Pride, it’s hard not to conclude that Bryant’s passionate drive to pressure Target to reinstate DEI is motivated by his full-throated agreement with the far left’s secular agenda.

There’s more proof of this.

Woke, not Christian

Not long ago, Bryant appeared on a podcast and engaged in a heated exchange about political and spiritual matters with Pastor Mark Burns, a black conservative pastor who has gained fame for his support of President Trump.

The takeaway from some online viewers was that Bryant did not align with the standard scriptural interpretation that the Bible supports only traditional marriage and opposes abortion.

To make matters worse, Bryant seems to be making inroads with Target CEO Brian Cornell. In a symbolic gesture of agreement, Cornell reached out and met with Al Sharpton because of Bryant’s boycott.

It’s important to note that Cornell was also CEO of Target back in 2023 and had initially refused to back down from selling rainbow-colored onesies for infants and T-shirts that say, “Pride Adult Drag Queen ‘Katya,’” “Trans people will always exist!” and “Girls Gays Theys.” He was so adamant about pushing the homosexual agenda on kids that, in response to conservative backlash, he told the press that he thought it was “the right thing for society.” Cornell also admitted that this agenda is directly linked to Target’s DEI initiatives: “The things we’ve done from a DEI standpoint, it’s adding value,” Cornell said.

Hold the line

Based on these comments, can there be any doubt that Target would love to restore DEI, including its children’s “Pride Collection”? Of course not. But the social pressure against it is finally having an effect. That is, it was until Bryant and others began to get louder.

Let there be no doubt: Should Bryant’s boycott grow enough to overwhelm complacent Christians and conservatives, it could possibly provide Cornell a new political lifeline (and excuse) to reverse course on DEI. If that happens, you can bet that all perverse children’s merchandise will return to store shelves.

Companies are pulling back on ‘Pride’ — is it an election-time conspiracy?



As Pride Month nears its end, Allie Beth Stuckey has made an interesting observation.

“None of the businesses I frequent have Pride stuff out this year. Most of them did last year. One in particular had a whole rainbow apparel display — this year, nothing. Anyone else see the same thing?” Stuckey wrote in a post on X.

Even Target has stopped selling Pride apparel in many of its stores. Stuckey received a photo from one of her followers of patriotic red, white, and, blue merchandise for sale at the retail giant instead of the rainbow-slogan-adorned T-shirts and children's clothes they were pushing last year.

“It actually had a sign instead that was a patriotic, red, white, and blue sign that said, you know, ‘Thank you for your service.’ It was a message to veterans, which I think is incredible,” Stuckey explains.

“I think that is really interesting,” she adds, noting that it could be a sign of something bigger and better.

“Some people are saying, well, it’s an election year, and so they’re trying to not scare people away because it is just so in your face to the point where even centrists are like, ‘Ok, can we not, does everything have to be gay in June, can’t something just, like, be neutral?’” Stuckey says.

"And so some people are saying, ‘Oh, you know it’s a conspiracy or it’s an organized effort to try to tone it down this year so people don’t freak out before the election,’” she adds.

However, she doesn’t buy it.

“That may be true, but I doubt that all of these local businesses and some of the businesses that I’ve been in, that they’re all part of some grand organized effort to tone down Pride in an election year,” she says, noting that she has her own theory as to why companies have toned it down.

“I really think it’s because of the push back and the backlash, I really do, and I think that’s a great thing,” she says.

NBC News tries to blame Target boycott on this



Target has come under fire for its controversial Pride collection, and the mainstream media has taken the opportunity to blame conservatives and misinformation.

In a recent announcement, Target said, “Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plan, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”

Target has removed the LGBTQ brand Abprallen from its stores and website. Abprallen’s store features satanic themes with messages like “Satan respects pronouns.”

The company is also reportedly reviewing its collection of “tuck-friendly” swimsuits, which allow men who have not had transgender surgery to conceal their nether regions while wearing women’s swimwear.

NBC News reported that these swimsuits have been “at the center of misinformation.”

Senior reporter at NBC News Ben Collins took to the cameras to explain.

“The misinformation here was that kids were being targeted with this stuff. They realize if they can threaten enough people, if they can scare enough people in real-life locations, that maybe support for the LGBTQ community will diminish among corporations,” Collins said.

GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis also went on NBC to discuss the matter.

“I think there’s this really small group who has an outsized voice at this moment in time, and it’s of hate, and it’s of discrimination, and it’s violent,” Ellis said.

Dave Rubin doesn’t see it the same way.

“Again, this is about kids. This stuff is always pushed in kids' sections,” Rubin says.

“They literally had a satanic trans person as the lead designer of all this, and they were putting satanic messages that you could buy,” Rubin continues.

“Satanic messages for the children. Is that a problem?” he asks.


PROOF Bud Light, Target boycotts ARE WORKING. But will it last?



The CEO of Target Brian Cornell was asked about the backlash to woke capitalism last week, and his answer does not reflect the moves Target has made this week.

He called woke campaigns “good business decisions,” that they’re “the right thing to do for society” and mentioned that it was helping drive sales.

Target then came out this Tuesday and said the retail giant will pull some of its LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing after facing customer backlash.

The company is claiming one of the main factors in the nationwide adjustment was that some customers had become violent with workers and that they are now fearing for their safety.

Glenn Beck’s not sure if he believes the claim that customers had become violent but does believe the backlash Target is facing is a good thing.

“I don’t know if I believe anything,” he says.

One of the brands being removed from Target stores is Abprallen, a brand that sells occult-themed and satanic LGBTQ clothing and accessories.

“You’re beginning to win,” Glenn says of anyone who has voiced concern over woke campaigns like Target’s.

“Any ESG fund is way down,” he continues, “they’re introducing half of the number of funds than they did last year. That’s because you’re winning.”

“Now you have Budweiser on the ropes,” he continues.

Stu adds that the growing backlash will put pressure on others not to shop at stores like Target.

“It’s created this societal pressure on people to just choose something else,” he says.

“That happens when somebody comes into the house with a Target bag,” Glenn agrees.

Glenn believes this societal pressure is warranted, considering just how insidious Target’s decision to promote tucking bathing suits and LGBTQ+ wear to children.

“You think that transgender needs a display up front? How many transgender people are there?” Glenn asks.

“You are grooming our children,” he adds.

Target BOYCOTT? Why Target's LGBT items make Glenn LOSE HIS MIND



Target has historically celebrated Pride Month, but this year the company may have taken the annual celebration a little too far for consumers.

The retailer has come out with a Pride line that includes children and toddler clothing and features “tuck-friendly” or “binding” swimwear in women's styles.

Glenn Beck and many others online have noticed the swimwear in recent trips to Target, and Glenn does not approve.

“I have no problem with trans if that’s what you want to do,” he explains, “but it is a very small percentage — less than one percent of the population. Let me say it again, less than one percent. And you would think we are a country made up of trans people.”

Despite the extraordinarily small percentage that transgender people make up, we’re inundated with campaigns by major brands that center around them.

But it’s not just the distortion of the truth that’s a problem, Glenn Beck warns.

According to Glenn, Target has partnered with Abprallen — a brand that sells Satanist merchandise — to create clothing for its Pride collection.

The items feature slogans like “We belong everywhere,” “Too queer for here,” and “Cure transphobia not trans people.”

The company was founded by a gay trans man named Eric Carnell, who recently was quoted saying: “I’m especially happy about the thought that young closeted people will see it and I hope in some way they’ll feel a little more comfortable in themselves, as we deserve to feel.”

According to Carnell, the word “groomer” is a “right-wing transphobic word,” but Carnell claims that Carnell was also groomed when young.

Despite this admission, the activist’s products on the brand’s website seem to promote violence against those who disagree with the LGBTQ movement.

One of the products featured is a pin with two axes on it that reads “Ready to fight for trans rights,” and another is a design with a guillotine and skulls near it that reads “Homophobic headrest.”

“Now imagine,” Glenn says, “if I made a T-shirt that had a guillotine and skulls and I said ‘Liberal headrest.’ Do you think they would say I was promoting violence?”

Glenn mentions that another T-shirt available on the site reads "Satan respects pronouns."

“Are you shopping at Target?” he asks. “I hope not.”
