Texas venue to stop hosting 'all ages' drag queen events after undercover video shows performer exposing himself, children offering tips

A Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas, venue says it will no longer allow "all ages" drag queen shows at the establishment after undercover journalists published video from a recent event.

Live music venue Tulips was at the center of controversy after independent journalist Tayler Hansen posted video on March 28, 2023, that showed video from inside the venue during an "all ages" drag queen show the night before.

"Yesterday an 'All Ages' Drag Show was hosted at Tulips [Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas]. During the show, a drag queen sat with his legs open and exposed his crotch to children in the crowd," Hansen wrote on Twitter.

"Children were being encouraged by parents to hand money to the Drag Queens and wave Trans flags around. Sara Gonzales was denied entry and ID’d at the door to prevent her from exposing what was going on," Hansen added.

Sara Gonzales, BlazeTV host of "The News & Why It Matters," attempted to enter the venue, but was recognized and turned away at the front door. One of the performers was later recorded on video bragging about how the journalist was prevented from entering.

"After I was denied entry to an all-ages drag show ... a drag queen bragged that I had been removed and said I’d go home and 'drink wine alone,'" Gonzales said on Twitter.

Two weeks later on April 10, 2023, however, Gonzales announced that Tulips' landlord informed her group that the location would no longer be willing to host any "all ages" drag shows after seeing the undercover footage.

"VICTORY!! Tulips confirmed with us that they will NO LONGER host 'all ages' drag shows at their venue. Their landlord saw our coverage and said ABSOLUTELY NOT," Gonzales exclaimed.

"Upon arrival, security denied me entry at the doors and told me they had been given my name and picture by the venue and were instructed not to allow me to enter," Gonzales told TheBlaze.

"What they didn't know was that I had a team of citizen journalists spread throughout the entire venue getting footage of the performers dancing for and receiving tips from children," she explained.

Gonzales, who is also the executive director of Defend Our Kids: Texas, confirmed with Tulips staff that the landlord said Tulips would be "kicked out of the building" if the venue tried to host another drag queen show aimed at children.

"Activism works. Pressure works. Sunlight is the best disinfectant," Gonzalez added.

Video: People get inverted cross symbols on foreheads, recite 'Hail Satan' during 'unbaptism' ritual at Pagan Pride Fest

Self-professed Satanists, heathens, atheists, spiritualists and so-called "other'd folk" joined forces Saturday to "reclaim" a Texas city center from Christians.

Although the event's organizer Raynie Castañeda claimed the second annual Pagan Pride Fest in Tyler was "not satanic," it nevertheless saw droves of people pay to renounce their religious beliefs and hail the devil.

'Not doing anything satanic'

"We're just hanging out," Castañeda told the Tyler Morning Telegraph. "There's kids trick-or-treating, people getting their faces painted ... We're not doing anything satanic or any crazy rituals. We're just existing."

According to an event listing, the aim of the festival was to "gather & celebrate ourselves in the center of town, on our Good Old Square, which has historically been the place of our town's atrocities against BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Pagans, and any non-Christian folk. We reclaim this space in Honour of Ourselves, or our Gods, or our Ancestors,"

Promotional material indicated the event celebrated "ANY Pagan, Heathen, Satanist, Atheist, Spiritualist, any 'Other'd' folk who just don't know."

The Satanic Temple was among the groups present at the event, and its activists — wearing demonic masks and robes — charged passersby $10 for "unbaptisms" in which participants renounce "superstitions that may have been imposed upon them without their consent as a child."

Here's a clip of people receiving inverted cross symbols on their foreheads and reciting "Hail Satan!" as part of the unbaptisms:

“The Satanic Temple is performing “unbaptisims”.

After an upside down cross is drawn on their forehead they chant “Hail Satan”.”
— Tayler Hansen (@Tayler Hansen) 1667087462

The so-called unbaptized also given certificates stating, "All bonds of servitude have been broken. Power and agency have been restored. Thyself is thy master. Hail Satan!"

“The Satanic Temple is “unbaptizing” people for $10 each.”
— Tayler Hansen (@Tayler Hansen) 1667081402

Despite its name, the Satanic Temple shares more in common with leftist atheists in attendance Saturday. The group claims it does "not promote a belief in a personal Satan. To embrace the name Satan is to embrace rational inquiry removed from supernaturalism and archaic tradition-based superstitions."

While the Satanic Temple claims to reject "superstitions," it nevertheless shared the square with non-Christian "spiritualists" and self-proclaimed witches who invoked gods, ancestors and "spirits in a moment of healing and understanding."

Anti-Christian pride

When asked about their purpose for coming, one attendee told independent journalist Tayler Hansen that she wanted to "bother Christians":

“I talked to a mother and her child that were in attendance at the Satanic Temple event in Tyler, TX today.

The daughter stated that she “wants to bother Christians”.”
— Tayler Hansen (@Tayler Hansen) 1667091934

The event's anti-Christian zeal was evidenced by some of the attendees' costumes and imaging, which mocked priests, nuns, and beliefs held dear by approximately 63% of the American population.

Hansen also shared video of several individuals working to drone out the sound of one man's prayers during the "unbaptism" ritual:

“Members of the Temple Of Satan are dancing and cackling around a man praying for the attendees of the “Unbatism” event.”
— Tayler Hansen (@Tayler Hansen) 1667086159

Christian humility

A group of east Texas Christians gathered to pray ahead of the event, KVEO-TV reported.

"As a Christian, we're called to a spiritual battleground, and I think this is an opportunity to exercise our strength in our relationship with Christ," Lauren Ethredge-Langas, a member of the Church of the Pines, told the station.

Lauren noted to KVEO that she and others sought only to "pray and exercise our freedom of religion."

Pastor Donnell Walder of the W.O.W. Church underscored to the station that the Christian presence ahead of the Pagan Pride Fest was not combative: "We didn't come down to bash anyone's religion, but we wanted to stand as believers and pray."

Hansen documented a prayer procession and public blessing attended by a local Catholic group and led by Bishop J. Strickland:

“A local Catholic group blessed the grounds prior to the Satanic Temple event that was hosted in Tyler, TX today.”
— Tayler Hansen (@Tayler Hansen) 1667094440

Brandon and Kelsey Chrisman — members of the Gospel Barn in Troup — told the Tyler Morning Telegraph they were "just showing love and trying to bring light to the darkness as much as we can. We're not here to judge — just love."

Crazed leftist agitators try (and fail) to stop Houston screening of Matt Walsh's 'What Is a Woman?'

Despite having their event listing removed from Eventbrite earlier this week, the Young Conservatives of Texas at the University of Houston remained determined to host Matt Walsh on Thursday night and screen his "What Is a Woman?" documentary. The film examines the incoherence and perniciousness of leftist gender ideology. Although the conservative student group ultimately prevailed, they first had to deal with the mob of agitators that swarmed the venue, keen on achieving what Eventbrite was unable to do: shutting down the event.

Ahead of the screening, liberals on campus reportedly tore down posters advertising the event, while Antifa and other radical leftist groups disseminated flyers inciting others to mobilize "in protest against virulent transphobe Matt Walsh on Campus."

Echoing accusations made elsewhere, groups like the Space City Anarchist Organization called Walsh, a father of four, a "bigot" and suggested his film is "transphobic."

“On Thursday, October 13th, University of Houston students are mobilizing in protest against virulent transphobe Matt Walsh on Campus. Join in solidarity with University of Houston students as they stand against transphobia!

Please share widely!”
— Space City Anarchist Organization (@Space City Anarchist Organization) 1665440872

Accusations of "transphobia" were repeated on Thursday by the transsexuality activists, leftists, and students gathered outside the venue. "Transphobia has go to go" and "trans rights are human rights" figured prominently in their chants, along with accusations of fascism, leveled at those trying to peacefully enter the building.

In June, Rolling Stone magazine similarly contended that "What Is a Woman?" is "transphobic," calling it an "attempt to belittle an already targeted group of people."

According to the Daily Wire, the film's distributor, the chief concerns raised in Walsh's documentary are reportedly:

 • the destruction of women's sports by men claiming to be women;
 • the exploitation of transsexuality claims by sexual offenders to prey upon women;
 • the left's use of censorship to advance a radical agenda, free from critique or analysis;
 • the denigration of women with neologisms like "birthing persons";
 • the left's attack on science with claims such as "having a penis doesn't make one male"; and
 • the mutilation and sterilization of children by bad actors.
“One of the surgeons in our documentary confesses to having mutilated the genitals of a 16 year old boy. The Left says this isn't happening. They're lying, as always.

Full film premieres tonight at https://t.co/xibkNa4oHW”
— Matt Walsh (@Matt Walsh) 1654103463

Walsh previously indicated that the left "will do whatever they can to make sure no one sees this movie. ... They know their ideology is based on lies and their logic is hollow and premiering the movie to a massive online audience will not only be an utter embarrassment to them but will send a message that they will not win this battle."

In the context of Walsh's broader "battle," Thursday night's screening may have been only a skirmish, but both sides came out in full force.

The line of attendees waiting to watch the documentary was long, stretching down the block.

“Huge turnout for Matt Walsh at @UHouston tonight. So far they’re outnumbering the protesters.”
— Samantha Ketterer (@Samantha Ketterer) 1665702633

While attendees waited in line, members of the Houston Police Department took necessary precautions, anticipating leftist violence of the kind seen at past campus events.

Police removed loose bricks around the venue.

One masked agitator was apprehended inside the venue by police.

Mikel Moore, chapter chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas, told KRIV that his group thought it important "to continue to bring conservative content, conservative messaging, to the University of Houston."

"This is an opportunity for students and members of the community to get a chance to see the movie, to understand it," said Moore. "We believe this event, too, will ignite conversations around gender, around how we look at the issue, and can lead to some good dialogue."

Masked agitators outside the venue sought to stifle that debate, going so far as trying to prevent attendees from entering the venue.

'Stand up for children's innocence': Texas comptroller investigating June drag event involving children

Republican state Rep. Bryan Slaton of Texas followed through on a June 6 pledge to address the subjection of children subjected to "inappropriate sexual content by adults," in response to an event he deemed "horrifying" and demonstrative of a "disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing children."

The event that prompted Slaton to take action took place on June 4 at the Dallas gay bar Mr. Misster.

In a daytime transvestite event entitled “Drag the kids to pride,” children were invited to join performers on stage. Transvestites danced with and for the kids in attendance. Inside the bar was a neon sign that said “It’s not going to lick itself” and “I licked it so it’s mine.”

— Tayler Hansen 🇺🇸 (@Tayler Hansen 🇺🇸) 1654365128

Protesters gathered outside, including members of the organization Protect Texas Kids, who seek to combat the “toxic, indoctrinating agenda of the left.” One sign read “Stop grooming the kids.” Another read "confuse a child, abuse a child."

A protester named Dasy told WFAA, “I don’t believe that I should be seeing signs advertising for children to be dancing on stage with men in thongs and in inappropriate clothing and makeup.”

Organizers of the event released a statement accusing the protesters of “yelling homophobic threats, transphobic remarks and vile accusations at these children and parents.”

Queerty highlighted comments made by one of the transvestites involved in the event, who wrote: "The children of today are our future & they will continue to break down these stereotypical, heteronormativity barriers that uneducated swines like you normalize. Drag queens and the gay culture is as main stream as it has ever been. And we're just going to keep pushing forward."

Following the event, Slaton pledged to introduce a bill barring minors from drag shows and also urged Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar to hold the organizers of the Mr. Misster event accountable, suggesting that they had violated Chapter 102 of the Texas Business Code prohibiting minors from being present at sexually explicit events. The code states: "A sexually oriented business may not allow an individual younger than 18 years of age to enter the premises of a business."

“Drag shows are no place for a child.

Today I’m calling in @Glenn_Hegar to do what he can to enforce existing law and protect Texas kids while I work with my colleagues in the Texas Legislature.

We must protect Texas kids from sick adults who want to sexualize them. #txlege”
— Bryan Slaton (@Bryan Slaton) 1659654546

On August 4, Slaton suggested that "Hegar can hold the organizers responsible today ... to protect Texas families and ensure all business are following the law."

The next day, Hegar announced that his office "had already begun the process of investigating this specific event." In his statement, Hegar noted that "the images [of the event] circulating are certainly inconsistent with our Texas values."

Upon learning that the requested investigation was under way, Slaton thanked Hegar on August 8 "for demonstrating strong leadership on this important issue." He suggested further that "Texans deserve elected officials who will stand up for our children's innocence ... Texas should not tolerate the sexualization and exploitation of children."

Google-sponsored 'family-friendly' Pride event boasts provocative performance by 'Hydrated Queer Kitties' and drag queen storytime for children

A Google-sponsored Pride event in Texas marketed itself as a "free family-friendly celebration."

To celebrate Pride Month, the Rainbow on the Creek event was held on Saturday at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in Austin.

"Rainbow on the Creek is a free family-friendly celebration that connects, educates, and celebrates Austin’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQIA+) community," the description of the even reads. "The celebration will include 25+ activations by LGBTQIA+ nonprofits and partners, a Queer BIPOC and Latinx artisan & craft market, gender-affirming care & sexual health resources, and many more activities for the whole family."

The Waterloo Greenway – which hosted the event – encouraged bringing "the whole family" to the Pride event.

"Families and children can spend the day exploring a variety of hands-on art and cultural learning activities including drag queen storytime, ‘Taste the Colors of the Rainbow’ with Mom & Pops All Natural Frozen Pops, a dance workshop with Dance Waterloo, Pride Family Portraits, and a Pride Parade in the Park," reads an Instagram from the official Waterloo Greenway Instagram account.

The "Drag Queen Storytime" for children was presented in partnership with Austin Public Library.

The Rainbow on the Creek event featured several drag queen, queer, and trans performers. Many were dressed in provocative outfits and delivered risque performances in front of children. The LGBTQ performers did suggestive dance moves, twerking, splits, and one drag queen squeezed his breasts while performing in from of children.

There were performances by acts such as Texas Ticklers, the Hydrated Queer Kitties, and Heyonce, according to independent journalist Tayler Hansen – who was at the event.

Hansen reported that there were at least 50 children in attendance for the performance by the Hydrated Queer Kitties.

Meanwhile at the Capital Pride Parade in Washington, D.C., there was also a drag queen storytime and a "family-friendly" area on Saturday.

"There will be an exclusive Family-Friendly Pride Parade Viewing Area at the corner of 17th and P ST NW, available for families with small children," the website for the Pride parade states.

At the "Family Fun Area," an LGBTQ activist read the book "My Mommy is a He!" to children. The book "explores transgender identity through a family's experience with one of the parents transitioning."

Drag queen Venus Vahalla sang about gay pride to a group of young children and read a gay version of "Cinderella" to the kids, according to Townhall reporter Mia Cathell.

Venus Vahalla also performs at "Thirst Trap Thursdays" at a D.C. gay bar, Cathell reported.

Last weekend in Dallas, a gay bar hosted a "Drag the Kids to Pride" event "Drag the Kids to Pride" event where drag queen dancers provocatively danced in front of children as young as toddlers for money.

'This is satanic': Shocking videos from 'Drag the Kids to Pride' event at Texas gay bar show children handing money to drag queen dancers

A Texas gay bar hosted a "Drag the Kids to Pride" event where drag queen dancers provocatively gyrated in front of children as young as toddlers. Tensions flared when protesters demonstrated outside the venue hosting the drag queen show for children.

The Mr. Misster gay bar in downtown Dallas hosted the drag queen event aimed at children.

A poster for the "Drag the Kids to Pride" event claims it is the "ultimate family friendly pride experience."

"Our under 21 guests can enjoy a special Mr. Misster Mocktails while the moms and dads can sip on one of our classic Mr. Misster Mimosa Towers," the poster reads. "Do you want to hit the stage with the queens? We have FIVE limited spots for young performers to take the stage solo, or with a queen of their choosing! Come hangout with the Queens and enjoy this unique pride experience, fit for guests of all ages!"

The Texas gay bar said the "Drag the Kids to Pride" event was a spinoff of Mr. Misster's Champagne Drag Brunch – which tickets start at $25 and go all the way up to $600.

There are neon signs at the gay bar that read "It's not gonna lick itself" and "I licked it so it's mine."
