Piers Morgan calls the college professor who wished that Queen Elizabeth II's death would be agonizing 'a cowardly disgrace' for declining to accept his interview request

Piers Morgan called Carnegie Mellon University associate professor of second language acquisition Uju Anya a "vile disgusting moron" earlier this month after Anya declared on social media that she wished Queen Elizabeth II's death would be "excruciating" — and now more recently, Morgan has decried Anya as "a cowardly disgrace" for declining an interview request.

"Piers Morgan calling me 'vile, disgusting moron' while his producer calling me for interview. Tufiakwa," Anya tweeted on Wednesday.

"I definitely want to interview you. I'd like you to try repeating to my face that you hoped the Queen died in 'excruciating pain.' But I suspect like most vile 'woke' trolls, you won't have the guts. Do you?" Morgan responded in a tweet on Thursday.

"No, Piers," Anya replied with the eye-rolling emoji. "You want to interview me, because your career died in excruciating pain, and you need the ratings. But I won’t let you chase clout off me. Like I said, I no dey put food for my enemy mouth."

"So like I thought, you don’t have the guts to repeat your disgusting slurs about the Queen to someone who would hold you to account for them. You’re not just a disgrace but a cowardly disgrace," Morgan fired back.

In a tweet earlier this month, Anya declared, "I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating." In another post she wrote, "That wretched woman and her bloodthirsty throne have f***** generations of my ancestors on both sides of the family, and she supervised a government that sponsored the genocide my parents and siblings survived. May she die in agony." Both posts were apparently removed by Twitter for violating the platform's rules.

The queen, who was the longest-reigning monarch in British history, passed away at the age of 96 after more than 70 years on the throne.

In another tweet Anya declared, "If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star."

Carnegie Mellon University had issued a statement responding to Anya's shocking social media remarks: "We do not condone the offensive and objectionable messages posted by Uju Anya today on her personal social media account," the school declared in the statement. "Free expression is core to the mission of higher education, however, the views she shared absolutely do not represent the values of the institution, nor the standards of discourse we seek to foster."

Carnegie Mellon University issues statement after a professor wishes for Queen Elizabeth II to suffer an 'excruciating' death

Carnegie Mellon University issued a statement on Thursday after associate professor of second language acquisition Uju Anya expressed her wish that Queen Elizabeth II of Britain would suffer an "excruciating" death.

"We do not condone the offensive and objectionable messages posted by Uju Anya today on her personal social media account," the school declared in the statement. Anya's egregious tweet, which was later yanked down by Twitter for violating the platform's rules, read, "I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating."

In another tweet, Anya said, "I only wish my hatred had the effect on her that her monarchy had on my people."

And in another post, Anya wrote, "If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star."

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 years old after more than seven decades on the throne.

Prominent figures in the U.K. and beyond lauded the late monarch. U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss called the queen "the rock on which modern Britain was built." The queen's eldest son Charles has become Britain's new monarch, King Charles III.

"Not all religious women vote for Republicans to destroy women’s rights," Anya declared in a tweet earlier this year. "Black Christian women literally carry the Democratic Party and pro-choice politicians on their backs into office. Trump got 3 SCOTUS Justices, because white women consistently vote to protect white supremacy."

Left-wing academic violates Twitter rules by wishing Queen Elizabeth II an 'excruciating' death

As the world mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, a self-described feminist university professor was roundly condemned for wishing the queen an "excruciating" death.

"I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating," Carnegie Mellon University linguistics professor Dr. Uju Anya wrote on Twitter Thursday morning after news broke that doctors were concerned for the queen's health. Her tweet has since been taken down for violating Twitter rules.

But Anya's sentiments were shared by a handful of other left-wing academics and media personalities, who called the queen a "colonizer" and expressed disdain for the British empire.

"Real question for the 'now is not the appropriate time to talk about the negative impact of colonialism' crowd: When is the appropriate time to talk about the negative impact of colonialism?" Washington Post national political reporter Eugene Scott tweeted.

"I will not mourn a colonizer," wrote Aabria Iyengar, a tabletop role-playing game streamer who has appeared as a guest on the popular Critical Role show.

"Good riddance to any and all murdering colonizers," said independent journalist Kavin Senapathy.

Ebony Elizabeth Thomas, an associate professor at the University of Michigan, defended criticisms of the queen upon her death.

“Telling the colonized how they should feel about their colonizer's health and wellness is like telling my people that we ought to worship the Confederacy. 😒

"Respect the dead" when we're all writing these Tweets *in English.* How'd that happen, hm? We just chose this language?”

However, many others swiftly condemned Anya and came to the defense of the queen and her legacy.

“This is someone supposedly working to make the world better?” billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos wrote, quoting Anya's tweet. "I don't think so. Wow."

"You vile disgusting moron," British broadcast journalist Piers Morgan said to Anya.

"Uju, what happened to your family is a tragedy but Britain under Queen Elizabeth II was far less of a 'thieving raping genocidal empire' than it had been before then -- and for all its faults, that empire had positive consequences, as well. She wasn't the villain you suggest," Fox News editor Tyler O'Neil charitably wrote.

Anya posted a follow-up message at 1:51 p.m. ET after Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II had passed.

"If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star," shewrote.
