Complaint Alleges University of Wisconsin DEI Czar, Husband of Harvard's DEI Chief, Has Decades-Long History of Research Misconduct

The chief diversity officer of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, LaVar Charleston, who also teaches at the university’s school of education, has a decades-long track record of research misconduct, according to a complaint filed with the university on Wednesday and a Washington Free Beacon analysis. That misconduct includes presenting old studies as new research, which he has done at least five times over the course of his career.

It's not just Claudine Gay. Harvard University's chief diversity and inclusion officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, appears to have plagiarized extensively in her academic work, lifting large portions of text without quotation marks and even taking credit for a study done by another scholar—her own husband—according to a complaint filed with the university on Monday and a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

'There are no exceptional white people': University of Wisconsin law students put through mandatory race re-education

First-year law students at the University of Wisconsin were reportedly forced to take a mandatory seminar that told them there are "no exceptional white people" and that "whites collude" to commit "genocidal attacks."

The students were lectured in the seminar by Joey Oteng, who is officially the Dean's Fellow of Inclusive Excellence at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Oteng also refers to himself as a "social justice educator/PhD student, lawyer, blogger" and "Educational Consultant" on his Instagram.

Students were given literature to prepare them for the lecture, which included the document "28 Common Racist Attitudes and Behaviors."

Each type of racist attitude listed was followed by a "reality check" and an alleged consequence of that attitude. For example, being "color-blind," according to the material, actually means a person is "afraid to discuss racism."

"'Color-blindness' negates the cultural values, norms, expectations, and life experiences of people of color. Even if an individual white person could ignore a person’s color, society does not," the document read. "By saying we are not different, that you don’t see the color, you are also saying you don’t see your whiteness. This denies the people of colors’ [sic] experience of racism and your experience of privilege."

The literature even considered white people who consider other whites to be racist as a form of racist "denial," leaving no possibility that a white person cannot be benefitting from racism in some form.

"There are no 'exceptional white people.' You may have attended many anti-racism workshops; you may not be shouting racist epithets or actively discriminating against people of color, but you still experience privilege based on your white skin color. You benefit from this system of oppression and advantage no matter what your intentions are."

According to the Federalist, a source who attended the session said parts felt like a confessional rather than a seminar. The unnamed attendee said that students were asked to provide possible slurs for different racial groups, but "when it got to white people and the derogatory terms used for white people, [Oteng] was implying that it was OK to laugh at white slurs because white people don’t have any problems."

While the law school did not reply to a request for comment, a University of Wisconsin-Madison spokesman said that the session was "held in partial fulfillment of ABA (American Bar Association) Standard 303’s requirement that law schools provide education to their students on 'bias, cross-cultural competency, and racism.'"

According to the National Association for Law Placement, the education is required to address "values and responsibilities of the legal profession" which includes "cross-cultural competence" and the "obligation" of lawyers to promote a justice system that "provides equal access and eliminates bias."

In addition to other examples of racism that included asking to be told if something is racist, or when a person tries "not to notice" another's race, even attempting to understand the point of view of native Americans is considered racist in the literature.

The document warned of the use of native culture to "service white people searching for life’s meaning."

"Rather than escape one’s white racism by finding a spiritual path, whites instead collude in one more way with the genocidal attacks on native cultures," the anti-racism initiative claimed.

25-year-old former college football tight end dies after suffering heart attack while jogging

Jake Hescock — a 25-year-old former college football tight end who played for a pair of Division 1 programs — has died after suffering a heart attack, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

What are the details?

Hescock — who played for the University of Wisconsin and the University of Central Florida — was jogging in Boston on Dec. 6 when he suffered a cardiac arrest, the paper said.

A passerby provided CPR, and Hescock was taken to a hospital before being placed on life support, the Sentinel said.

Hescock’s cousin Lisa Walz Mlynarczyk wrote Sunday on Facebook, "It is with a heavy heart that I have to say my cousin Jake has passed on, may he Rest in Peace and forever shine his bright soul down upon us ..."

Mlynarczyk noted in her post that damage to Hescock's brain from lack of oxygen was "severe."

What was Hescock's football history?

The Sentinel reported that Hescock was a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, attended Salisbury School in Connecticut, and then went to the University of Wisconsin to play football. The paper said after his freshman season, Hescock — a 6-foot-7 tight end — transferred to the University of Central Florida, where he played from 2017 to 2021.

Here's a tribute tweet from UCF:

“We are devastated to hear of the passing of Jake Hescock. He was beloved by everyone within Knight Nation.

Our deepest condolences go out to everyone who knew Jake. He was taken too soon and will be greatly missed.”
— Varsity Knights (@Varsity Knights) 1670783589

After sitting out the 2017 season due to his transfer, Hescock caught two passes for 13 yards and 1 touchdown in the 2018 season, the Sentinel said. Hescock became the team’s top tight end in 2019, making nine catches for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns, the paper said. In 2020, he caught 10 passes for 53 yards and three touchdowns, the Sentinel noted, adding that his final season was 2021.

Following college, Hescock moved back to Massachusetts and retired from football, the paper reported.

Leftists steal teen preacher's Bible, eat pages of it to protest Matt Walsh event at University of Wisconsin

Leftists protesting a recent event featuring anti-transgenderism activist Matt Walsh at the University of Wisconsin stole a copy of the Bible from a street preacher who was exercising his First Amendment rights. At least one protester then desecrated the Bible further in a rather unique way: by eating some of its pages.

On Monday, a hundred or so protesters gathered at the campus in Madison, Wisconsin, to express their ire that Walsh, a conservative with a different viewpoint about transgenderism, was extended an invitation to speak and to screen "What Is a Woman?", his wildly popular documentary exploring the dangers associated with so-called gender transition.

Many of the protesters engaged in rather common leftist protesting tactics: defacing monuments and buildings, chanting obscene and illogical rhymes, and harassing those who express Christian values.

However, at least a handful of protesters went beyond harassing one street preacher. They stole his Bible and began tearing pages from it. At least one rotund protester was so enticed by the pages of Scripture that she chose to use them as a mid-afternoon snack.

The incident was caught on the video below. The unnamed female, whom the Daily Wire inadvertently identified as a "male," with bright pink hair stuffs the pages of Scripture into her mouth at around the :04 mark, just before she is obscured by another female protester in black:

“Protestors have now shredded The Bible and one began eating pages”
— YAF (@YAF) 1666649131

The mangled Bible in that video once belonged to Nick Proell, a local teenager who attended the event to share his faith and the love of God with protesters.

"It was my personal study Bible that I used every single day," Proell stated. "At church, at Bible study, to preach, you name it."

Proell added that he had purchased that Bible late last year for about $100. He said he brought it with him to the event so that he could try to guide "sinners who love their sin and hate God" to abandon their sin and turn to Jesus instead.

He also believes that transgenderism is antithetical to God and godly creation.

"God uniquely chooses who we are and what our purpose is. He decides if we’re a man or a woman, not us," Proell explained. "Men weren’t designed to chop off their penises and call themselves women. It’s a foolish thing to try and play God."

Needless to say, that message was not well received by the protesters, who chanted "sexist, racist, anti-gay, Christian fascists go away" and "eat s***, f*** you" at the Christians across the street.

Proell admitted that he put the Bible down briefly while distracted by the crowd, and the next thing he knew, it was gone.

In addition to the Bible, Proell alleged that protesters also stole upwards of $1,000 in A/V equipment, including a camera, batteries, chargers, and a microphone.

Matt Walsh responded to the leftist protests and vandalism with a few stern messages of his own. First, he condemned UW administrators for "apologizing to the vandals and taking their side," a move that Walsh described as the "worst cowardice [he'd] ever seen by a university."

Then, Walsh made a direct pitch to his fellow countrymen.

"Well, you can be on the side that eats the Bible and castrates children," he tweeted, "or you can be on literally any side but that one. Your choice, America."

UW Health gender program boasts 'will operate on minors' — then scrubs entire website for some reason

Over the weekend, Libs of TikTok exposed yet another college gender clinic for providing "gender-affirming" hormone therapies and surgeries to minors. Interestingly, the clinic's entire website suddenly disappeared just after the Libs of TikTok exposé.

On "The News & Why It Matters," BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales and guests Stu Burguiere and Alex Stein discussed the details revealed in Libs of TikTok's epic Twitter thread and wondered why, if the University of Wisconsin is so proud of its "one-stop shop" gender-transitioning program that will gladly "operate on minors," would the school quietly take down the program's website?

Here's the full Twitter thread:
