Wild video shows family of slain young woman attacking murder suspect in court: 'It was worth every moment'

A courtroom brawl erupted in New Mexico as the family of a slain young woman attacked the suspect in her murder during a hearing on Friday.

Alexander Ortiz, 20, is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Alianna Farfan.

The uncle told police that the murder suspect "killed my niece like a coward."

According to police, Ortiz shot Farfan at her apartment in the Northeast Heights neighborhood of Albuquerque on Jan. 11, 2024. With assistance from SWAT officers, Ortiz was arrested on Feb. 21, 2024.

Police suspect that Ortiz shot and killed another woman, 25-year-old Nicole Maldonado, outside a food market just six days after the Farfan murder.

The Albuquerque Police Department stated in March, "Following his arrest for the murder of Farfan, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and located multiple parts of a .40 caliber handgun, including an extended magazine, 50-round drum magazine, Glock 22 .40cal slide, .40cal ammunition, and a mobile phone."

"Detectives determined several of the firearm parts were similar to those used in the homicide at the Adam Food Market," the Albuquerque Police Department confirmed.

The Albuquerque Police Department noted that Ortiz was charged with the murder of Farfan. In the death of Maldonado, Ortiz was charged with murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder resulting in death, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and tampering with a witness.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Ortiz appeared at a procedural hearing related to the murder of Farfan. The family of the alleged murder victim also attended the hearing.

In the middle of the hearing, a man in the gallery suddenly jumped over the barrier and sprinted toward Ortiz. The video of the courtroom attack shows the man tackling Ortiz right in front of the judge's bench. The assailant was later identified as Farfan’s uncle, Carlos Lucero.

The courtroom video shows a second man entering the fray. The man was identified as 51-year-old Pete Ysasi. Ysasi was Farfan's stepfather, according to NBC News.

According to the New York Times, Lucero and Ysasi struck a corrections office during the melee.

KOAT-TV reported that Joeray Ortiz, Ortiz's father, joined the donnybrook to allegedly defend his son. Joeray told deputies that he was trying to “break up the fight,” according to the criminal complaint.

At one point during the fight, women were swinging chairs at the men wrestling on the floor.

The courtroom scrum reportedly lasted for about a minute until Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies broke up the brouhaha and restored order to the courtroom.

Court documents said Ortiz, Lucero, and Joeray Ortiz all suffered "visible lacerations" from the physical altercation. Lucero and Ysasi were both arrested and charged with felonies of battery upon a peace officer and assault on a jail. Lucero was released from the Metropolitan Detention Center on Saturday, and Ysasi was released the day after, according to jail records.

According to the criminal complaint, the uncle told police that the murder suspect "killed my niece like a coward." Regarding the courtroom assault of the murder suspect, he allegedly said, "It was worth every moment."

The Albuquerque Journal cited court records showing that Lucero and his wife were granted custody of Farfan's 1-year-old daughter two months after Farfan's death.

Father accused of fatally shooting pickup driver who ran over his son

A father in Person County, North Carolina, is accused of fatally gunning down a pickup driver who ran over his son Monday morning.

Person County Sgt. Kevin Morris told WTVD-TV, "This is kind of a first. I've been to people struck by cars and I've been to shootings, but I haven't ever had this happen at the same time."

According to Sheriff Jason Wilborn, a family of three ran out of gas while driving along Dink Ashley Road near Ed Brooks Road in Timberlake.

Chad Woods, 41, his son, and another family member reportedly began walking down the rural road when tragedy struck.

Around 6:30 a.m., authorities indicated that 39-year-old electrical supervisor Jeffrey McKay of Youngsville, N.C., ran over Woods' boy, Chad Woods Jr., while driving a North Carolina Department of Adult Correction vehicle, reported WCN-TV.

One of Chad Woods Jr.'s three brothers told WTVD, "He was a good person. He was a real good person. ... Wanted to be an IT technician," adding that "he wanted to be positive in life."

After the accident, McKay reportedly pulled over and called 911, but Woods was apparently in no mood to wait for the law.

Lawrence Clayborn, Woods' father, said, "He was just out of it, going off and stuff. He was going, 'He just ... killed my son. He killed my son.'"

Before help could arrive, Woods allegedly pulled out a gun and shot McKay.

After throwing the gun into a nearby pond, Woods then climbed into McKay's truck and drove home to Cedar Creek, leaving both his son and McKay in the street, according to authorities.

WITN-TV reported that passersby called 911 and that McKay was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Woods was arrested at home, where deputies found McKay's truck parked outside.

The father has been charged with second-degree murder and larceny of a motor vehicle. The boy's mother has not been charged.

The Montgomery Brawl Isn’t What Race-Baiting Media Want It To Be

Two viral videos show vigilante justice, which wouldn't be necessary without the left's anti-police, pro-crime rhetoric.

Video: Knife-wielding criminal threatens shoppers at South Carolina Walmart until veteran unleashes ferocious comeuppance

A viral video shows a military veteran unleashing a world of hurt on a knife-wielding man who was threatening shoppers and employees at a South Carolina Walmart.

Last Wednesday, an unstable man was threatening shoppers inside a Walmart store in Columbia. Customers were taken aback by a man brandishing a knife and yelling at everyone in the store. One woman recorded video of the unnerving incident.

An individual calmly approached the troubled individual in an attempt to quash the potentially dangerous situation. The unhinged person screamed at the peacemaker and began swinging the pocket knife around. The man attempted to snatch the knife from the hostile individual, but failed to take away the weapon. This angered the man even more so, and he swiped the knife at the other man's face.

Demario Davis was shopping at the Walmart with his son when he heard the commotion.

"I was at the checkout when my son noticed the guy walk in with the knife open," Davis said, according to the New York Post. "He then proceeded to the service desk waving the knife at a few female employees."

The man allegedly screamed, "When the cops get here, I’m going to start cutting you all up."

"As I'm walking towards the area where the gentleman waving the knife is terrorizing other customers and employees," Davis said he saw the armed man attempt to cut the other man, prompting home to spring into action.

Davis told Fox News, "Another customer tried to subdue the gentleman waving the knife, but the guy tried to cut him in the face. That's when my military training kicked in, and I casually walked over to the object not only to take him down but also protect myself in case I failed, but with my great military training, I was able to neutralize the threat until law enforcement arrived."

Davis grabbed a stanchion, swung the weighted pole over his head, and bludgeoned the knife-wielding man in the back. The ferocious comeuppance caused the man to crash to the ground and drop the weapon. Another customer rushed over to confiscate the knife. Customers held the man on the ground until police arrived at the crime scene.

Video shows the suspect on the ground as he was being arrested by two deputies from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The man attempted to resist arrest, but officers quickly handcuffed the suspect.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said the man was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

A woman is heard on the video saying that the man threatened to stab people because he wanted $20.

Davis explained, "My first instinct was to neutralize the situation, so I just casually walked over and waited until I had an opportunity to get him, and I got 'em, I guess."

He added, "I'm a community person, so if I see something in the community that’s not right, with all the violence and things and attacks going on, gun violence, you know, you want your people in the community to step up as well."

Davis said sometimes citizens have to become vigilantes because "the cops can't do it all by themselves."

Davis revealed, "I have received so many heartfelt comments and compliments from civilians and veterans all over for my brave act and quick response."
