KJP fails to land mental gymnastics routine when confronted over hypocrisy of Biden's accepted use of 'bloodbath'

The left's apoplexy over former President Donald Trump's recent of the well-worn term "bloodbath" continues to pay dividends.

The White House' repeated condemnations of the term exposed press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to questions Tuesday about whether President Joe Biden's use of "bloodbath" was similarly deserving of a formal denunciation.

Jean-Pierre did not fare well in her attempt to reconcile Democratic outrage with Biden's culpability.

Quick background

On March 16, Trump used the word "bloodbath" in reference to the economic fallout of continued offshoring of jobs and automobile manufacturing plants under the Biden administration.

Trump addressed Chinese dictator Xi Jinping during his speech at the Dayton International Airport in Ohio, saying, "Let me tell you something ... those big monster car manufacturing plants that you're building in Mexico right now, and you think you're going to get that, you're going to not hire Americans, and you're going to sell the cars to us? No."

"We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys – if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they're not going to sell those cars."

Blaze News previously reported that Democrats and the liberal media — including CBS News, Politico, NPR, Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, and USA Today — rushed to mischaracterize Trump's remarks while glossing over their own use of the term in recent months and years.

The social media account for Biden's re-election campaign helped perpetuate the false narrative, posting a de-contextualized excerpt of the video with the caption, "Trump: If I don't get elected, it's gonna be a bloodbath. It's gonna be a bloodbath for the country."

Doubling down

Trump and the Republican Party doubled down on the use of the term this week, applying it in other contexts.

The Republican front-runner criticized the Biden administration's failed border policies while speaking to a crowd Tuesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a podium emblazoned with a sign that read, "Stop Biden's Border Bloodbath," reported USA Today.

The Republican National Committee, similarly criticizing Biden over the fallout of his failure to secure the border, launched a website Tuesday entitled, "Biden Bloodbath."

The website claims that Biden "is allowing vicious criminals into the United States, and innocent Americans across the country are paying the price. Lethal drugs, cartels, gangs, and terrorists are taking advantage of the crisis to enter the U.S. and threaten America. This is an invasion aided and abetted by Joe Biden, supported by Democrats who vote for his dangerous and cruel policies. This is Biden's border bloodbath."

More mental gymnastics

When asked about Trump's latest use of the term bloodbath during the White House press briefing Tuesday, Jean-Pierre said, "We have to denounce any violent rhetoric that we hear, certainly from our leaders, right, that tears our country apart."

"Any type of violent rhetoric, we're going to denounce that," added Jean-Pierre. "It doesn't matter who it comes from, we're going to denounce it."

White House correspondent Peter Doocy sought clarification, asking Jean-Pierre, "So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric. What was it when Joe Biden said in 2020, 'What we can't let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath?'"

Biden made the remark in March 2020 when campaigning against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) in the Democratic primaries.

Doocy's question clearly put Jean-Pierre in a bind. After all, she had just vowed to denounce such "violent rhetoric" regardless of the source.

"So I'm going to be really mindful and careful about Donald Trump, but if you read — because he is a candidate — we're talking about a 2024 election, you should read what he said in its context. So you got to read what he said in context."

Doocy added, "I'm just saying, 'bloodbath' is an ugly word when Trump uses it. What is it when Biden uses it?"

"No, no, no," stammered Jean-Pierre. "Let's be very clear. You gotta actually ask me the question in the context of what it was said, right? And what was said when he said that, right, in his remarks, in his speech, right? And so that's being disingenuous in your question."

After Doocy followed up again with the direct quote from Biden, Jean-Pierre attempted to excuse the geriatric Democrat's language with the kind of context her allies previously denied Trump.

"He was talking about a group of people, a group of people," said Jean-Pierre. "That's what he's talking about. What the president was talking about during the primary was not to allow it to be the words and the primary and that election to become negative. Two different things. They're not the same. They're not the same, and your question is disingenuous."

While refusing to denounce Biden's use of allegedly "violent rhetoric," Jean-Pierre stressed that such denunciations were nevertheless important.

Before executing the in-person equivalent of an abrupt hang-up, the press secretary suggested that Trump's use of the word "bloodbath" in relation to the automotive industry was more inflammatory than Biden's use "because we saw what happened on January 6."

Q: Why was it acceptable for Biden to use the term "bloodbath" in 2020, but not when President Trump uses it?\n\nKARINE JEAN-PIERRE: *brain breaks*

The FBI is targeting YOU! Could your slang words be 'violent extremism'?

Can using slang words online alert the government to your presence?

Apparently they can, as the Heritage Foundation has just unearthed FBI documents that flag certain terms as “violent extremism.”

Among them are words frequently used on social media, like “Chad,” “looksmaxxing,” “it’s over,” “roastie,” “NEET,” “normie,” “blue pill,” “red pill,” “black pill,” “Stacy,” “based,” and “LARPing.”

They’ve lumped these terms in with others that are decidedly “racist.”

According to BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales, the “FBI’s domestic terrorism reference guide on involuntary celibate violent extremism offers a threat overview for incels that aims to identify them by the slang that they use, which they say is some of those slang words.”

Gonzales' guest, Jaco Booyens, says, “It’s so biased, it’s so blatant now.”

She picks out the term “red pill” and reads the FBI’s analysis of it.

“Red pill,” she says, “is also listed as a term associated with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism and described as in the context of racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism ideology.”

“Taking the ‘red pill’ or becoming ‘red-pilled,’” she continues, “indicates the adoption of racist, anti-Semitic, or fascist beliefs.”

“This is our own government,” Gonzales says.

Booyens believes the government is behind all the division we currently see in our country. “You have to ask yourself, ‘Well, who is really causing the division in our nation?’”

He continues, “It’s them. It is in fact the government. If there is a racial faction in this country, it’s because you’re producing it. It’s because you’re driving the narrative. It’s because you’re branding half of the country, probably more, as racist, extremist, fascist, you know, Jew-haters.”

MoMA Madness: New York's Museum of Modern Art evacuated after employees were stabbed

Violent crime continues to affect the daily lives of New York residents.

Saturday afternoon, people visiting the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City were evacuated from the museum after two employees were stabbed inside the museum, CNN reported.

Having been stabbed in the back, the collar bone, and the neck, both employees received serious wounds in the attacks and were rushed to Bellevue Hospital.

Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller said that both of the attack victims are expected to survive.

He said, “At approximately 4:15 this afternoon, an individual entered the museum, attempted to gain entrance presenting his membership card and was denied entrance because his membership had expired. His membership had expired as a result of two incidents involving disorderly conduct here at the museum on two separate dates in recent days.”

The attacker — who has been identified as 60-year-old Gary Cabana — became angry after he was denied entrance to the museum and subsequently jumped over the reception desk and attack the two museum employees.

The NYPD is still searching for Cabana.

Reportedly, Cabana is a regular at MoMA and entered the facility on Saturday with the intention of attending a film viewing.

He is known to NYPD and is wanted by the department in connection with two incidents that occurred in Midtown Manhattan prior to the stabbing. The police say they have a “direction of his flight.”

Miller said, “The individual involved in this incident is known to us and we are endeavoring to locate this person right now.”

He added that the incident is “still unfolding” and the “investigation is in its early stages.”

The Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, said that he was briefed on the incident. His press secretary said that it “appears to be an isolated, criminal incident.”

Adams asked for the public’s help in locating Cabana. He said, “Please continue to avoid the area while police continue their investigation and if you have any information, please contact NYPD immediately. Public safety is our top priority.”

One MoMA patron said that when the attack occurred, museum visitors were not told what was happening and were rushed out of the facility.

The patron said, “We weren’t told what was going on, just that they had to close the exhibits immediately. A woman did say it was an emergency.”

In response to the ongoing investigation, MoMA said that its facilities will be closed to the public on Sunday.

The Museum and its Stores will be closed to the public tomorrow, Sunday, March 13. For assistance in refunding or rescheduling tickets, please contact us at information@moma.org.

31-year-old repeat criminal assaults toddler riding in a toy wagon

A 31-year-old man with a history of assaulting children was arrested and charged after flipping a toddler out of a wagon in New York City.

Early Friday morning, Christopher Elder, the assailant, accosted a woman pushing her toddler granddaughter in a toy wagon as she was throwing away garbage.

The assault took place in Flushing, Queens, the New York Post reported.

The assault occurred around 6:20 a.m. when Elder began shouting at the 48-year-old grandmother who does not speak English.

Elder allegedly grabbed and shook the toy wagon containing the toddler with both of his hands before kicking it into the street, causing the 3-year-old granddaughter to fall to the pavement.

The child suffered an abrasion to her head and a cut under her left eye. She was taken to Flushing Hospital Medical Center where she received several stitches.

The child’s uncle said that the toddler is afraid to return to her family’s home.

He said, “Now she’s very scared. She didn’t want to come home yesterday.”

Elder was arrested after the assault at an intersection near the family’s house and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Elder was charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment. He was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court and was sent to jail without bail until his next court date on March 28.

Elder’s uncle, Tyrick, said that Elder was in Flushing visiting family.

It just so happens that Elder’s visit resulted in a criminal complaint being made, and his previous interactions with Tyrick led to his uncle taking out an order of protection against him.

Elder is a repeat criminal who has at least eight prior arrests.

Many of his previous arrests were due to unprovoked assaults.

In mid-December 2021, Elder was arrested for assaulting a 9-year-old girl by throwing her to the ground.

In late February, Elder hit a 30-year-old man in the head with a glass bottle for which he was also charged following his arrest this past Friday.

Similarly, in late February, a 4-year-old boy was assaulted in Times Square when a man struck him on the head.

Violent crime is rampant in New York City — especially throughout the city’s massive transit system — and shows no sign of slowing down despite city officials vowing to curb it.

Scott Welsh — a recent NYPD retiree — said that the city has “turned against” the police. He said that people would rather hurl insults at the police and accuse them of being racist — without justification — than support them in their efforts to keep crime off the streets of New York.

Welsh said, “While Mayor Adams can do his part to back the NYPD, unless we can get our communities on board, we will never be able to restore public safety.”

'FBI wants you to snitch on your neighbors': Pat Gray reacts to FBI's tweet

The FBI posted a tweet recommending that Americans snitch on their "family members and peers" if they are suspected of homegrown violent extremism.

In this clip, Pat Gray compared the recent FBI recommendations to those issued by the Department of Homeland Security following the 9/11 terrorist attack.

The FBI tweet also linked to a booklet from the Department of National Intelligence that provides a list of "risk factors" to watch out for including:

  1. Preparing and disseminating a martyrdom video/statement, last will (i.e., final statement)
  2. Seeking religious or political justification for a planned violent act
  3. Attempting to mobilize others to violence, especially family members and peers
  4. Seeking help from family, peers, or authority figures to enable travel to join terrorist groups overseas
  5. Preparing to travel to fight with or support terrorist groups
  6. Communicating intent to engage in violent extremist activity; a threat with justification for action (e.g., social media post, tweet, hashtag, manifesto)
  7. Suspiciously obtaining or attempting (illegally or otherwise) to obtain explosive precursors
  8. Simulating an attack/assault, or dry run, with focus on local or other real-world targets
  9. Surveilling potential targets
  10. Inquiring about jobs that provide sensitive access (e.g., critical infrastructure, transportation, law enforcement, military, Intelligence Community) in a suspicious manner
  11. Conducting research for target or tactic selection (e.g., acquiring maps, blueprints, schematics, technical capabilities, planning and logistics information)
  12. Suspicious sending of financial resources, electronic equipment, or survivalist gear to people or groups overseas
  13. Receiving unexplained monies from third parties overseas 1
  14. Expressing acceptance of violence as a necessary means to achieve ideological goals (e.g., communicating desire for revenge, promoting violent extremist narratives, sharing and praising violent extremist videos)
  15. Attempting to radicalize others, especially family members and peers
  16. Creating or joining a group that promotes violence to address perceived social, political, or ideological grievances
  17. Having an acknowledged or implied membership in or association with violent extremist groups (e.g., individuals declare they are ISIS on social media, post terrorist symbols — green birds, flags, lions)
  18. Participating in online sites or groups that promote violent extremism
  19. Communicating directly with violent extremists online
  20. Seeking or claiming relationships with incarcerated or infamous violent extremists Read more...

Pat came up with his own version of the list:

  • Are they white?
  • Do they own a gun?
  • Have they ever said anything positive about Donald J. Trump?
  • Did they actually vote for Donald J. Trump?
  • Do they have an American flag? If so, do they ever fly it?
  • Do they express their political opinions freely?
  • Are their opinions the opposite of the current administration?
  • Do they listen to country music?
We are going to find the violent extremists and root them out, Pat noted sarcastically, you can snitch on your family members and root them out.

Tennessee Democrat rejected by his party delivers powerful speech condemning violent riots

Longtime Democratic Tennessee state lawmaker Rep. John DeBerry Jr. says people refusing to acknowledge the violent riots going on in America right now are fooling themselves, and warned his colleagues in a powerful floor speech this month that such behavior must be condemned and stopped.

His message is unusual coming from a Democratic officeholder in 2020, but DeBerry has never been afraid to take positions countering the party's platform. In fact, after 26 years in office, the Democratic Party recently booted the preacher out over his support of some conservative views.

What are the details?

In his address, Mr. DeBerry recounted riding "on the back of the bus" and attending a segregated school during the Jim Crow era and noted that he was present for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s final speech in Memphis before the Civil Rights leader was assassinated.

He reminded the Tennessee House that Dr. King's method of protest was peaceful, and that after King was murdered and some people began rioting, angry and heartbroken civil rights protesters returned to peaceful demonstrations during a time that was much different than what protesters are living in today.

DeBerry recalled, "When the riots started and folks started burning stuff down, that's when my father took my arm and we left. We left because that was not what we were there for. That was not what Dr. King was there for. That was not what others who are famous in the civil rights days were there for."

Rep. DeBerry then pointed to Dr. King delivering his famous "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington, D.C, saying, "That man stood there and said that he wanted his children judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. And all we do in America right now is talk about color. Every issue. Every issue is about race, it's about color, instead of sitting down at the table like men and women of common sense."

"You tell me that somebody got the right to tear down property that Tennessee taxpayers paid for?" He asked. "That American taxpayers paid for? Somebody has the right to destroy it? Deface it? And tear it down? What kind of people have we become?"

"Peaceful protest ends peacefully," he added. "Anarchy ends in chaos. And what we see happening right now—any of us with any common sense whatsoever—know that what we see is not peaceful."

He asked, "What has happened to us?" and warned, "If we don't get this right, right now, I've got grandchildren—I don't want to see the country 5,10, 15, 20 years from now. If we don't start acting like we got some guts...right now."

Rep. John DeBerry www.youtube.com

The Christian Chronicle reported earlier this month that the Tennessee Democratic Party voted in the spring to remove DeBerry from the party's primary ballot over his "conservative positions on issues such as abortion, gay rights and school choice." The decision was handed down after it was too late for the 13-time incumbent to run as a Republican or Independent .

But the Republican-led legislature voted to amend state elections rules so that DeBerry could run as an Independent in November. He is facing a Democrat, and no Republicans are in the race.
