Parents attack female middle school deputy, steal her taser, bodycam video shows. Sheriff reacts with profanity-laced tirade.

A Florida man and his wife were arrested Tuesday after they attacked a female school resource deputy, authorities said, citing police bodycam footage.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that two parents — 46-year-old Jorge Rivera and 45-year-old Dagmarie Aponte Iturrino — assaulted the deputy at Deltona Middle School on Tuesday morning.

'To be clear, the only piece of s**t in that video is the mother and father. They're the pieces of s**t.'

The confrontation purportedly stemmed from the couple's 11-year-old son getting into a physical altercation with a girl. The parents went to the school to protest a battery charge against their son that resulted in a civil citation, Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood told WESH-TV.

According to the bodycam video, the parents confronted the school resource deputy for accusing their son of being the "primary aggressor" in the incident with the girl.

Video shows Rivera responding, "You failed a kid. You’re failing kids right here. We’re not talking about us because believe me, if it were about the adults we could solve this a whole different level. We are talking about kids."

A visibly agitated Rivera told the school resource deputy, "Why are you so worthless? Do you feel proud that you are this worthless, lady? Shut the f*** up because I pay your salary, you dumb b***h!"

"You are a worthless piece of s**t," Rivera told the female law enforcement officer.

The wife unsuccessfully attempted to get her husband to calm down.

Deputy Julia Curtin asked the parents to leave her office at the school.

Rivera is seen on bodycam video in a school hallway putting his hand in the deputy's face.

Suddenly, Iturrino is seen physically confronting the officer, and video shows Rivera jumping into the fracas.

The officer draws her taser, but Rivera apparently punches the deputy in the head, knocking her to the ground. He then rips the deputy's taser from her hand.

A school employee tries to stop Rivera from using the taser.

Deputy Curtin draws her gun and yells: "Put it down right f***ing now! Put your hands behind your f***ing back now!"

Rivera is seen dropping the taser, and the deputy arrests Rivera and Iturrino.

According to jail records, both parents were charged with resisting arrest with violence, trespass on school property after warning, and disputing a school function. Rivera was hit with charges of grand theft, battery on a law enforcement officer, and assault or battery on specified officials or employees.

Iturrino bonded out of jail Tuesday night, WESH-TV reported. In an ironic twist, Iturrino is a pre-K teacher at Spirit Elementary School in Deltona, according to the school's website. WESH said she's been suspended.

Rivera appeared before a judge Wednesday, WESH said, adding that his bail was set at $42,000.

Chitwood blasted the parents in a profanity-laced press conference Wednesday.

'In training, if you lose your taser, you automatically transition to your firearm. If you take a deputy’s taser, you can almost expect to get shot.'

Chitwood claimed the parents' son "bullied and shoved a little girl." He said that the parents were questioning the deputy as to why the girl had not been disciplined in the altercation.

The sheriff played the video clip of Rivera calling the deputy a "worthless piece of s**t."

Chitwood lambasted the parents, "To be clear, the only piece of s**t in that video is the mother and father. They're the pieces of s**t."

He continued, "They attacked my deputy; she suffered a concussion."

Chitwood declared that Iturrino "deserves to be fired" from her teaching job for her role in the alleged assault of the deputy.

"I'm not gonna have pieces of s**t like that come in and attack a deputy doing their job and not expect that they're not going to be held accountable for that," Chitwood proclaimed.

The sheriff noted, "To say I’m furious is beyond. There's no reason I got a deputy home with a concussion for something so goddamn trivial." He said the deputy will be on bed rest for four days, WESH reported.

Chitwood pointed out, "In training, if you lose your taser, you automatically transition to your firearm. If you take a deputy’s taser, you can almost expect to get shot. ... Thank God that’s not what happened in these close grounds."

What's more, Chitwood said the battery charge for the couple's son was not a criminal charge but a civil citation, according to WESH.

"You go before the judge," Chitwood said, according to WESH. "The judge looks at the evidence, and then a judge would impose sanctions, whether it's counseling, community service, whatever it is, and then the whole thing goes away."

Wild video shows alleged drunk driver with drink in hand leading cops on chase through busy parking lot, crashing into cars

A video of an alleged drunk driver leading cops on a chase through a busy parking lot in Texas has gone viral. Video shows the woman holding a drink as she evades police and crashes into other cars. In the end, the woman is smiling and making jokes as she's arrested.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, Audrey Marie Schneider recklessly drove around the parking lot of a shopping center in San Antonio. The nearly five-minute video shows the 37-year-old leading police on a chase while driving her white Toyota SUV.

'Oh no. I’m about to see something traumatic happen in front of me.'

According to authorities, the police chase began in Comal County, continued on a highway, and concluded in the shopping plaza in Bexar County. WOAI-TV reported that a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to pull Schneider over on Interstate 35 in Comal County. However, Schneider allegedly sped away from the trooper.

During the pursuit by multiple police cruisers, Schneider made several laps around a shopping center parking lot, which put pedestrians at risk.

The viral video captured by freelance photographer Alec Dyer shows Schneider driving erratically in the parking lot and crashing into other vehicles, including police cruisers.

Dyer told KSAT, "It felt really surreal. I couldn’t even believe it."

"Just witnessing that, I was, like, mentally preparing, ‘Oh no. I’m about to see something traumatic happen in front of me,‘“ Dyer added. “The whole time I’m thinking, ‘Oh no! At this rate, she’s gonna kill somebody. She’s gonna hurt somebody.‘”

Video shows Schneider holding up a drink during the police chase in the parking lot.

Eventually, police corner Schneider's SUV. However, Schneider is seen attempting to evade police by fleeing into a business in the plaza.

Soon police are seen escorting Schneider out of a store in handcuffs. Schneider's clothes appear to be drenched in liquid, and she has dark marks on both sides of her face.

No injuries were reported.

A smiling Schneider says, "I'm so sorry."

A bystander is on video asking police: "Hey, she threw a can of beer on me, can I press charges?"

Schneider is seen on video responding, "Yes, please do. I double-dog dare you."

Schneider is heard telling the onlookers: "I'm back, bitches."

While being pinned to the hood of a police cruiser, she also said, "Santa is coming."

The San Antonio Express-News reported that emergency medical services checked Schneider before she was taken to Bexar County Jail.

In her mugshot, Schneider flashes a smile.

Schneider was charged with driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container, assaulting a peace officer, evading arrest in a vehicle, as well as two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.

According to KSAT, this wasn't Schneider’s first incident involving driving and alcohol.

In 2017, Schneider faced a charge of obstruction of a highway while intoxicated, the station reported.

Records show the charge was dismissed after she was granted deferred adjudication.

Special-ed teacher who threatened Trump voters resigns — and tries to explain herself in tearful on-camera interview

The Connecticut special-education teacher who threatened people who voted for President-elect Donald Trump in a viral video has resigned — and she tried to explain herself in a tearful on-camera interview.

Annie Dunleavy of Chapman Elementary School in Cheshire spoke in person with WTNH-TV, tearfully at times trying to explain herself. Her interview demeanor certainly was a stark contrast to what was seen in her viral video in which she threatened Trump voters.

'The message I was trying to get across, and it came off very wrong was ... if this is going to give people the almost permission in their minds to enact violence against women or anybody, I wanted to basically just say, like, I’m not going to go down without a fight.'

In that video, she claims that "people of color and poor people and gay people and all the people that I care about aren't gonna be safe in America — neither the f*** are you guys. Just because you won doesn't mean we don't remember who the f*** you voted for. You're not in the clear."

She added, "Please don't test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher. Gone. Forever. So serious. Nobody f***in' talk to me unless you wanna swing. If you wanna fight, text me, call me, whatever. Anybody else stay the f*** outta my face."

The threatening clip ends with her saying, "And if you voted for Trump, literally please delete me, block me, get rid of everything of me — or step to me, so that I know what’s up, and I can handle you how I see fit. Please, just come forward, we f***in' know. Just tell me. Or leave."

In her interview with WTNH, however — which included the interviewer reading some of her threatening words aloud to her — Dunleavy acknowledged, "It sounds very extreme, and again, I was in a moment of high emotions, and I shouldn’t have ever posted the video. But ... the message I was trying to get across, and it came off very wrong was ... if this is going to give people the almost permission in their minds to enact violence against women or anybody, I wanted to basically just say, like, I’m not going to go down without a fight."

The station said Dunleavy also declared that "I will fight for myself, and if someone was to try to hurt me, I would protect myself.”

Another clip of the interview shows Dunleavy in tears: "I mean, you know, it's my life's dream to be a teacher. I consider those kids my kids because I don't have any of my own. And they fill that for me, and it's so fulfilling, it's so rewarding. ... I know that what people see right now, I don't look like that person, but I truly would do anything to help any child and any family in need."

WTNH added that Dunleavy said she's been getting threats and has moved out of her home. She added to the station that Cheshire police — which had launched an investigation into her viral video — told her Wednesday she won't face any charges.

You can view the interview snippet with Dunleavy here. WTNH prefaced the snippet by indicating she "apologized to her students," and the station noted in its story that Dunleavy "is sorry" — but there is no apology from her in the station's video snippet. Perhaps an apology will be part of the full interview with Dunleavy, which WTNH said will air 10 a.m. Sunday.

'I can't unsee the video ... and I can't walk into that school. ... I’m literally shaking, I can't walk into that school and hand my kid off to that person.'

Samantha Rosenberg, chair of the Cheshire Board of Education, said in a written statement that the board recognizes “the intense emotions this situation has stirred," the station reported.

“The Board of Education is united in finding the teacher’s behavior reprehensible and unacceptable, and we are horrified and deeply offended by statements made in the video,” the statement reads in part, WTNH reported.

Prior to Dunleavy resigning, Cheshire Public Schools' Superintendent Jeff Solan said she was placed on leave until the outcome of an investigation, WFSB-TV reported. Solan added that once the video went viral, the district received a large number of calls — mostly from people outside the Cheshire community — and that business couldn't be conducted as usual with the teacher on campus.

WTIC-TV reported that the Cheshire Town Council held a meeting Tuesday night, and some parents said they weren't happy with what was expressed in the video.

WTIC reported that Amy Bourdon — a Cheshire mom whose son with special needs attends school in the district — said, "I saw a woman in crisis, and then when I replayed it a couple of times, I got up from my table and went and locked my front door."

Bourdon — who is a Republican, WTIC said — added that "we are the targets. Our lives have been targeted by an individual that cashes a paycheck from the town of Cheshire every week."

Lorie Barnes told WTIC that “I'm tired of being a Trump supporter and whispering."

Barnes, who's lived in Cheshire all her life, added to WTIC that her grandson will be moving from England and entering the Cheshire school district — and now that terrifies her.

"I can't unsee the video ... and I can't walk into that school. ... I’m literally shaking, I can't walk into that school and hand my kid off to that person," Barnes told WTIC.

You can view a news station video report here about the controversy.

Other outbursts from anti-Trump teachers

As Blaze News has previously reported this week, a Southern California high school teacher on the day after the election lashed out in a classroom at a student who was wearing a Trump hat.

Blaze News this week also noted that a teacher at a different Southern California public high school went on a profane rant in his Advanced Placement world history class against Trump the day after the election and was placed on administrative leave.

Suspect charged with attempted murder after crazy video shows ATV driver ram into man as San Francisco cops look on

A terrifying video shows a crazy incident in which an ATV driver smashes into a pedestrian at a San Francisco gas station as police officers look on. The incident occurred all the way back in February, and a suspect was just arrested, authorities said.

On the night of Feb. 11 — the same day as Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers — Ariel Cruz went to the convenience store at a Gulf gas station following the game. However, a group of men driving dirt bikes and an ATV confronted Cruz.

'I just remember my head was split open.'

Both the group and Cruz were taunting each other.

KPIX-TV reported that officers with the Stunt Driving Response Unit were called to the gas station to tow a vehicle in connection with a separate case. After cops arrived, they attempted to quell the situation by yelling at both parties, but things only escalated.

The dirt bike riders and the ATV rider began circling the gas pumps, driving recklessly, and struck one of the officers in the face.

The ATV driver ran over Cruz, who was wearing a red 49ers jersey.

"I just remember my head was split open. I had staples in my head. My knee was really inflamed. I couldn't walk on it," Cruz told KTVU-TV. "My lip was busted on the inside and outside. I had like a slash on my lip."

Cruz told the San Francisco Standard that he suffered a concussion and couldn’t walk for more than a month, which left him unable to do his work as a painter.

The suspect ditched the ATV at the crime scene and fled on a dirt bike with a different male driving it.

On Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department announced that they arrested a suspect believed to be the ATV rider.

The San Francisco Police Department General Work Detail with the assistance of the Community Violence Reduction Team investigated the incident that led to the arrest of 31-year-old Julian Alberto Ulloagomez on Aug. 29.

Ulloagomez was booked at Ingleside Police Station on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, and filing a false police report.

Jail records show Ullagomez remains in custody without bond. He's scheduled for an Oct. 15 court appearance.

"While these investigations can take time due to varying factors, investigators continue to work tirelessly to investigate and follow up on these incidents," the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement. "SFPD does not tolerate this dangerous behavior and reckless drivers, of any vehicle, will be held accountable."

Cruz said of the arrest, "I was happy about it, because like that day … next day … [it] could have been someone else's son. Very appreciative that they found him."

The incident is still under investigation.

The San Francisco Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.

High-tech hero: Video shows police bomb squad robot outsmart, pin down hotel gunman in Texas showdown

There's a new RoboCop in town. A police bomb squad robot singlehandedly incapacitated and pinned down an armed suspect in a Texas showdown.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said there was a warrant out for the arrest of 39-year-old Felix Delarosa because he violated his parole by tampering with his electronic monitoring device, KCBD reported.

The robot approached the broken window, and the suspect shot his gun at the robot. The bomb squad robot countered by spraying tear gas into the room.

Around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Texas Anti-Gang unit members tracked down Delarosa at a Days Inn hotel in Lubbock. Delarosa — who was armed at the time — reportedly fired a shot at officers from inside his room when they went to approach him.

The officers called the Lubbock County Sheriff’s SWAT team to assist with apprehending the suspect.

Officials said Delarosa fired another shot while SWAT negotiators attempted to convince him to peacefully surrender. During the negotiations, Delarosa — who was barricaded in his hotel room — allegedly fired more shots at officers.

A sheriff’s office sniper returned fire and allegedly struck Delarosa.

By this time in the standoff, the room's large glass window had been shattered amid the exchange of gunfire.

Robot to the rescue

The Lubbock Regional Bomb Squad deployed a robot to deal with the suspect without putting the lives of law enforcement in jeopardy. The bomb squad robot rolled up to Delarosa's hotel room. The suspect first attempted to debilitate the robot by throwing a bed sheet on it, which was not effective.

The robot approached the broken window, and the suspect shot his gun at the robot. The bomb squad robot countered by spraying tear gas into the room.

The suspect is seen on video desperately crawling out of the room and appears to be extremely disoriented from the tear gas.

While Delarosa was wriggling on the ground, the robot drove on top of him.

Then, while pinning him to the ground, the wheels of the robot pulled down the suspect's pants.

SWAT team members swooped in to take Delarosa into custody two hours after the showdown began.

Delarosa was transported to University Medical Center for his injuries and then booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Delarosa was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice noted that Delarosa was sentenced to 20 years in prison for manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance in 2017.

Delarosa was released from prison and placed on parole in April 2022.

HILARIOUS: Alex Stein teaches infant about her white privilege

Teaching children that they’re innately immoral based on their skin color is never funny. Unless, of course, it’s a joke that Alex Stein of “Prime Time with Alex Stein” is making.

BlazeTV’s resident comedian drew laughter heard around the world — literally — when a bit of his making fun of critical race theorists landed on Sky News Australia.

“The left wants critical race theory shoved down children’s throats, from kindergarten onwards, to make sure they’re aware of their white privilege and victim hierarchies. But how soon is too soon to teach the young'uns about what awful racists they are?” Sky News host Rita Panahi asks.

“Well, comic Alex Stein thinks it’s never too early,” she adds before playing the hilarious clip.

“At one point, your ancestors owned slaves,” Stein says to an adorable white baby, who coos lightly. “Yes, they did, I don’t care what they tell you; even if you’re not related to them. You being white is oppressive to a whole group of people. You are an oppressor, do you understand that?”

“The earlier you understand that you’re an oppressor to not only black people but also Hispanic people that are here illegally—” he continues before being cut off by the baby loudly babbling, looking confused.

“Yes, you are oppressing illegals,” he says sternly, as if she was arguing.

While Stein stands by his humorous criticism of critical race theory, he tells Rita Panahi that it’s not the worst thing the left is doing to children.

“The most disgusting thing that they want to do is they want to actually do sexual education in elementary school. So critical race theory isn’t even half as bad as what these people on the left really want to do,” Stein explains.

“So this is obviously satire, and you know, went semi-viral on Twitter because people are just laughing and mocking it because this is sadly the real truth of what’s happening here in America,” he adds.

Male, 55, accused of grabbing 15-year-old by neck, throwing him to floor of In-and-Out Burger — and it's all caught on video

A 55-year-old male is accused of grabbing a 15-year-old by the neck and throwing him to the floor of an In-and-Out Burger in Loveland, Colorado, earlier this month — and much of the incident was caught on video.

Police said officers arrived at the In-and-Out at 1450 Fall River Drive at 1 a.m. Aug. 4 and spoke to a 15-year-old male who said he and two friends were inside the restaurant splashing water on each other when a woman was accidentally splashed.

The suspect was facing charges of second-degree felony assault-strangulation and misdemeanor child abuse, police said.

Police said "the juvenile male approached her table to apologize when an adult male accompanying the woman suddenly grabbed him, placed both hands around the front and back of his neck, pulled him down to the table and threw him backward onto the floor."

The adult male then is heard telling the teen, "Apologize! You don't treat a lady that way! Say sorry."

Police said the adult male and female left the restaurant before police arrived, and officers spent the next week interviewing witnesses and reviewing videos showing "different views of the incident." Police said witnesses came forward and identified the male suspect while officers confirmed the suspect’s identity after gathering more information and reviewing local records.

Police said they presented the case on Aug. 9 to the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office, and on Aug. 13 a no-bond arrest warrant was issued for Lucas N. Kalisher of Loveland. The suspect was facing charges of second-degree felony assault-strangulation and misdemeanor child abuse, police said. The no-bond designation typically means the suspect cannot be released by paying bail. Kalisher turned himself in to Larimer County Jail the same day the warrant was issued, police said.

The Associated Press reported Friday, Aug. 16, that Kalisher's bail was set at $75,000. His name didn't show up in a jail records check Monday; it appears Kalisher has bonded out of custody. His next court date is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, the AP said.

Russian chess champion allegedly caught on video trying to poison rival with mercury

A Russian chess champion has been accused of trying to poison her opponent during a recent tournament. The brazen move allegedly was caught on video.

Amina Abakarova, 40, faces a possible lifetime ban and potential criminal proceedings, NBC News reported.

'The actions she committed could have led to the saddest outcome.'

The incident occurred last Friday inside the tournament room of the Dagestan Chess Championship in Makhachkala, the capital of Russia's Republic of Dagestan.

Security video purportedly shows Abakarova entering the room with a bag about 20 minutes before the tournament was set to begin. The 34-second surveillance clip appears to show Abakarova spreading a substance over one of the chessboards.

Sazhid Sazhidov — Dagestan’s sports minister — released a statement on the Telegram messaging app Wednesday alleging that Abakarova, who has won the tournament before, spread a substance that later turned out to contain mercury, NBC News reported.

The Russian Chess Federation issued a statement Wednesday describing the situation as "an attempt to poison a participant in the championship of the Republic of Dagestan in Makhachkala."

The target of the alleged attempted poisoning was Abakarova's rival – 30-year-old Umayganat Osmanova.

About 30 minutes into a tournament match, Osmanova allegedly fell ill with nausea and dizziness. She reportedly required medical attention.

"I still feel bad. In the first minutes, I felt a lack of air and a taste of iron in my mouth. I had to spend about five hours on this board. I don’t know what would have happened to me if I hadn’t seen it earlier," Osmanova told Russia Today.

Osmanova added to Russian newspaper Izvestia that she noticed "some tiny balls" rolling out from under her board. She initially had no idea what they were but soon realized they could have been mercury, after which she notified chess officials.

Chess.com reported that Osmanova recovered from the alleged attempted poisoning and finished second in the tournament. Abakarova allegedly was expelled after the fourth round.

Russian outlet RTVI reported that Abakarova allegedly said she wanted to "knock her opponent out of the tournament." However, a police report claimed that Abakarova meant to scare her opponent and not actually harm her.

According to the New York Post, Abakarova later admitted to the poisoning and allegedly confessed to police that she had broken a thermometer and smeared mercury across the chessboard.

Police have detained Abakarova, who now faces up to three years in jail, according to the Mirror.

Andrey Filatov — president of the Russian Chess Federation — said the organization had temporarily suspended Abakarova from all competitions until a law enforcement investigation is completed.

ABC News reported that Sazhidov stated, "I am perplexed by what happened, and the motives that guided such an experienced athlete as Amina Abakarova are also incomprehensible to me."

"The actions she committed could have led to the saddest outcome. They threatened the lives of everyone who was in the chess house, including herself," Sazhidov added. "Now she will have to answer for what she did before the law."

Video shows Seattle bikini barista smash customer's windshield with hammer after he threw drinks, allegedly made threats

A video has gone viral of a bikini barista smashing a customer's windshield with a hammer after he threw drinks toward her in South Seattle, Washington. The employee claimed the man made threatening comments to her.

On Tuesday, a man went to get coffee at the Taste of Heaven Espresso shop. According to the owner of the coffee shop, the customer ordered a 32-ounce coffee and a 24-ounce water, which totaled about $22.

Emma Lee, the owner and sole employee of the coffee shop, said the man became outraged over the price of the two drinks.

Lee told KCPQ, "No one is forcing you to come here. The argument that he didn't know or was scammed doesn’t hold up. The prices are listed. You don’t get to name your own price."

Video shows the man getting out of his car and escalating the situation.

She said that other customers attempted to calm the man down for about 10 minutes.

In the video, the man is heard saying, "Nobody’s going to miss you," which Lee felt was a threat.

"Oh, okay so you have no problem harming me, you’re making that clear," she told KIRO-TV.

"It was a threat after screaming, spitting, and trying to pry open the window, I felt in danger," Lee claimed.

Suddenly, the irate customer threw the drinks at Lee.

Lee responded by grabbing a hammer, leaning out the drive-through window, and smashing the windshield of the customer's car.

Surveillance video of the confrontation can be seen here.

"It's one thing to yell, it’s one thing to get mad, it’s one thing to even be outside of your car and try to threaten me," Lee stated. "But to actually have the action behind it, it changed things for me where I was like 'oh no.'"

Lee called the customer's actions "disgusting."

She said, "Why should this kind of interaction be expected because of the environment?"

Lee added, "Disrespect and violence are two different things. I can handle the disrespect, the violence is like a hard, that’s where the line is crossed."

The coffee shop owner said she was acting in self-defense.

Lee asked, "It's okay for him to be outraged about the price of his drinks, enough to assault me, but it's not appropriate for me to respond?"

She defended her actions by saying, "I personally think that you thought you were going to throw drinks on me and ruin my day, you’re going to pay for a new windshield and it’s going to ruin your day."

Lee said the man refused to leave the parking lot where the Taste of Heaven Espresso shop is located, so she called the police.

Police arrived at the coffee shop.

"The police came, and they got him to leave. It was understood that what happened is, he assaulted me, and I responded," Lee said.

Seattle police said no arrests were made in the incident.

Lee has since filed charges for misdemeanor assault.

The customer is banned from the stand. He could take Lee to small claims court to make her pay the cost of his smashed windshield.

While some say the bikini barista's actions were too harsh, Lee said that women have the right to defend themselves.

"I know so many women that haven’t defended themselves in situations they definitely should’ve and could have because we know that the repercussion more likely than not is going to fall on the woman that responds to the violence than the initial violence inflicted," Lee explained.

Viral video: Middle-schooler grabs teacher, throws her sideways against classroom wall amid fight with another student

Cellphone video shows the moment a Texas middle-schooler grabbed a teacher and threw her sideways against a classroom wall amid a fight with another student Monday,

The fight took place Monday at Hurshel Antwine Middle School in El Paso, which is part of the Socorro Independent School District, KTSM-TV reported in reference to the video, which the station said has gone viral.

Separate thuds are audible when she hits the wall and then lands on the classroom floor.

KTSM's video report said the social studies teacher was trying to break up a fight between two of her students. The teacher is seen in the clip getting between the students in a classroom before one of the students appears to throw a punch past her, grabs her shoulders, and throws her sideways against a wall.

At least one of her legs is seen leaving the ground during the throw. Separate thuds are audible when she hits the wall and then lands on the classroom floor.

An unredacted video shows that the student who threw the teacher against the wall appears to be the aggressor in the fight with the other student, throwing repeated punches while the other student doesn't fight back. The one-sided dust-up continued for nearly 20 more seconds after the teacher was thrown.

The teacher soon rises to her feet after several seconds, and two individuals — presumably other teachers — enter the classroom, with one of them yelling, "What are you doing?" according to the unredacted video, as the students are separated.

The teacher who was thrown into the wall appears to collapse into a seated position on the floor.

KTSM said the following message was sent to parents: “Hello, this is Patricia Fernandez, principal of Hurshel Antwine Middle School. I am calling to inform you that an altercation occurred among students in a classroom on our campus today. This was an isolated incident between individual students. The students involved are being addressed by administration and law enforcement, as appropriate. There was no threat to other students or the campus. Thank you for your continued trust and support of Hurshel Antwine Middle School and Team SISD.”

The station said it reached out to the school district for comment.

Lone Star Live said district officials didn't answer when asked if the woman in the video is a teacher or if she she was injured. The outlet added that officials didn't answer when asked what kind of punishment the students involved might face, if they would be expelled, or if they would be sent to an alternative education program.

Officials also didn't answer when asked if teachers have panic buttons in their classrooms or if police are assigned to each school, Lone Star Live reported, adding that officials also didn't respond when asked who will decide whether or not to pursue charges in the case.
