'We will put your fat a** in prison': Letitia James gets absolutely excoriated by prominent Trump legal ally

After Donald Trump decisively beat Kamala Harris in Tuesday's presidential election, Trump-hating New York Attorney General Letitia James turned quite a few heads with a bizarre and cryptic speech vowing to "fight back" against the president-elect.

James — who campaigned for her office on the promise that she would go after Trump and sued him for hundreds of millions — spoke somberly with whispered endings to phrases, frequent dramatic pauses, and clipped, halting pronunciations of key words that seemed to reflect anger, shock, and sadness over Trump's victory.

'I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term. Because listen here, sweetheart: We’re not messing around this time.'

"We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result," James went on to say. "And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before. We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again, because as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."

You can view video of her relevant remarks here, starting at the 9:20 mark.

'Let me just say this to Big Tish James'

One prominent Trump legal ally was having none of James' tough talk — and gave it right back to her.

Attorney Mike Davis — founder of the Article III Project, which "defends constitutionalist judges and the rule of law" — absolutely excoriated James during an appearance on "The Benny Show" podcast Thursday.

"Let me just say this to Big Tish James, the New York attorney general," Davis said. "I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term. Because listen here, sweetheart: We’re not messing around this time. And we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights, and I promise you that."

Davis also warned James to "think long and hard before you want to violate President Trump’s constitutional rights or any other American’s constitutional rights. ... It’s not gonna happen again."

Fox News said it reached out to James' office seeking a response to Davis' comments.

The cable network and other outlets characterized Davis as a possible attorney general candidate in the Trump administration, but Davis said in a Friday X post that while he "strongly" supports the president-elect, he's "not going into his administration and [is] not under consideration for Attorney General."

"As I have made crystal clear, I do not speak for President Trump or anyone else," Davis added in his post. "Like tens of millions of other private citizens, I am outraged by the lawfare and weaponization of our system of justice, including the New York Attorney General’s political crusade. All of the witch hunts have to end so our Republic can survive and prosper under the leadership of President Trump."

Anything else?

Following James' speech, Fox News legal editor Kerri Urbahn blasted James, saying it was "maybe the most distasteful speech I've ever seen a government official give after someone won the American presidency, and I think it reflects exactly how Letitia James has been this entire time."

Urbahn added that James "has done everything in her power to destroy Donald Trump. She failed. Do you know how we know she failed? Because Donald Trump won decisively last night. This lawfare campaign that we have seen waged against Trump by attorneys general, by federal and state prosecutors, and doing so by twisting the law in ways they had never done before. ... They used the law against Donald Trump in ways they've never used against anyone else in their states, in this country, and the American people spoke loud and clear last night and said, 'We're done with this.' And yet for the attorney general of the state of New York to go on and give that speech just now is disgraceful."

While the Department of Justice has moved to end federal cases against Trump before he takes office in January, state cases against him — such as the civil fraud case James brought against Trump resulting in more than $450 million in penalties against him — still hang in the balance.

Secret Service Whistleblower Warns There Will Be More Assassination Attempts

A Secret Service whistleblower warned Monday of another assassination attempt against former President Trump ahead of November's election.

Warning: New Biden policy is about to crush small businesses in 2024

A new Biden rule is about to blindside 32 million small businesses with traps that could land entrepreneurs in jail.

The Corporate Transparency Act goes into effect on January 1, 2024, and has been marketed as a way to prevent money laundering — but it suspiciously only targets the smallest of small businesses.

“What this looks like is, ‘Let’s attack the smallest business owners that we have in our economy and get them to close their doors!' That’s what it feels like to me,” Glenn Beck explains.

Former investment banker Carol Roth agrees.

“It’s part that, and it’s part a massive data collection program that nobody knows about,” Roth tells Glenn.

“If you’re a single-member LLC or if your business has an S corp, even if you don’t have employees, you’re impacted,” Roth continues, adding that those businesses will “have to register with a group that’s out of the treasury called FINSEN, which is the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.”

However, if you’re a large business owner with at least 20 employees and $5 million in revenue, you’re exempt.

“What crappy money launderer are you that you’re not at least making $5 million?” Glenn comments, shocked.

“You’re money laundering for Doritos,” Roth laughs. “That’s what the ridiculousness of it is, the burden, the invasion of privacy, the collection of small business information.”

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden, who makes $5 million in one job, walks free.

It will cost small businesses $85 to prepare and submit the initial beneficial ownership information report.

“And if you don’t do it exactly right, a massive fine is coming your way,” Glenn says, to which Roth adds, “Not only fine, but you could also go to jail.”

The jail penalty is enforced if a small business owner does not participate.

The rule was proposed in January 2020 when Trump was still in office.

“It went to his desk, both houses voted for it, went to his desk — he vetoed it,” Glenn says.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy seeks to meet with Putin to reach a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing crisis

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin so that they may find a resolution to the ongoing crisis and violence along their shared border, the Associated Press reported.

“I don’t know what the president of the Russian Federation wants, so I am proposing a meeting,” Zelenskyy said during the Munich Security Conference.

Zelenskyy affirmed that he is dedicated to finding a diplomatic solution to dissolve tensions between Ukraine and Russia.

He said, “Ukraine will continue to follow only the diplomatic path for the sake of a peaceful settlement.”

Zelenskyy made these statements just hours after separatist leaders in the eastern regions of Ukraine initiated a full military mobilization. Subsequently, leaders of Western nations emphasized to Russia that there would be “dire warnings” should they proceed with invading Ukraine.

Fearing for the safety of their citizens, Germany and Austria ordered their citizens to evacuate Ukraine and the German airline Lufthansa ceased to provide service to Kyiv and Odessa – both cities are at risk of being targeted in a Russian invasion.

The New York Times reported that despite not launching an invasion, Russian forces continue to launch shells into towns in eastern Ukraine. Residents of this area have subsequently fled.

Separatists in Ukraine’s eastern region asserted that Ukrainian leadership has been planning a large-scale offensive against them and their Russian allies.

The notion of a Ukrainian offensive has largely been dismissed by Western leaders as counterintuitive considering that Russian forces are currently surrounding the country.

At the Munich Security Conference, where Zelenskyy reaffirmed his dedication to diplomacy, Western leaders displayed a united front and repeated their calls for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.

Vice President Kamala Harris referred to the ongoing crisis as “a defining moment” for European security and the defense of democratic values.

Harris warned that if Russia were to invade Ukraine the United States and its allies would restrict Russia’s access to financial institutions, limit technology exports to the country, and target “those who are complicit and those who aid and direct this unprovoked invasion.”

She said, “Russia continues to claim it is ready for talks while at the same time it narrows the avenues for diplomacy. Their actions simply do not match their words.”

Despite many of the parties invested in the ongoing crisis insisting that diplomacy is the only way forward, the New York Times reported that President Joe Biden said that the United States has intelligence showing that Putin has made a final decision to reject diplomacy and invade Ukraine.

Tulsi Gabbard says Jussie Smollett 'spit in the face of real victims of bigotry' and should receive maximum sentence as 'warning' for 'future hoaxers'

Former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday said convicted hate-crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett "spit in the face of real victims of bigotry" by "lying about being attacked because of his race" and "should be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law to serve as an example and to send a very strong message to anyone who thinks about pulling a hoax like this in the future."

What else did Gabbard say?

The Democrat from Hawaii offered her take in a TikTok video she posted to her Twitter account and added that Smollett has "rightly been found guilty by a jury of his peers" and "needs to apologize to the American people" for "what he did."

In the text of her Twitter post, Gabbard said Smollett's actions were a "slap in the face of actual victims of bigotry" and that a maximum sentence would serve as a "warning to potential future hoaxers."

Jussie Smollett was rightly found guilty by a jury of his peers. But he has not yet been sentenced. His lies are a slap in the face of actual victims of bigotry. He should be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law to serve as an example & warning to potential future hoaxers.pic.twitter.com/mHZVTUVBCj
— Tulsi Gabbard 🌺 (@Tulsi Gabbard 🌺) 1639481762

Smollett was convicted last week of felony disorderly conduct for faking a hate crime against himself in Chicago in January 2019 and lying to law enforcement about it.

Predictably, Hollywood leftists remained silent about the embarrassment Smollett's guilty verdicts on five of six counts brought to their ranks.

But Gabbard isn't from Tinseltown, and she's not a leftist. In fact, Gabbard has been outspoken for quite a while with views that easily could be construed as more Republican and conservative than Democratic and liberal:

 • Last month she blasted prosecutors in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial, saying they were "motivated by politics" as they went after the young defendant — and that their actions "should be considered criminal." Rittenhouse testified he acted in self defense when he fatally shot two men and seriously wounded another amid rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020. He was found not guilty on all counts.
 • Also in November Gabbard celebrated Republican Glenn Youngkin's win over Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial election as "a victory for all Americans. Why? Because it was a resounding rejection of efforts to divide us by race, the stripping of parental rights, and arrogant, deaf leaders. This benefits us all."
 • In September, she compared President Joe Biden — a fellow Democrat whom she's called her friend — to an "autocrat" for attacking border patrol agents who were falsely accused of abusing Haitian migrants.
 • In May Gabbard said Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot — another fellow Democrat — should resign after granting interviews only to journalists and reporters of color.

A Teacher Explains The Massive Challenges Young Americans Don’t Want To Face, But Must

Jeremy Adams' book, 'Hollowed Out,' offers an alarming diagnosis, and a little hope, for a generation that has rejected family and tradition for a damaging digital existence.

Woke Oregon teacher warns colleagues they'll be 'fired' if they don't 'come to the light' and become 'anti-racist'

An Oregon eighth-grade teacher was recorded on a Zoom video session warning fellow teachers they will be "fired" if they don't "come to the light" and become "anti-racist."

What are the details?

Katherine Watkins — a humanities teacher at Cedar Park Middle School in the Beaverton School District — was decked out in what appeared to be African-inspired garb as she introduced herself with the pronouns "she, her, we, and us."

Then later in the session she declared, "I'm gonna say somethin' that's not nice and not sweet, but it's true" — and then read her colleagues the riot act.

If you're not evolving into an anti-racist educator, you're making yourself obsolete. ... Our district is only getting browner and browner [with respect to students]. ... Obviously, you can't change your melanin, all right? But you can change your mind so that you can actually function in a district that is full of BIPOC [black, indigenous, and people of color] children. So if you're being resistant, I understand that. But you're gonna have to eventually come to the light. Because if you're going to keep with those old views of colonialism, it's gonna lead to being fired. Because you're going to be doing damage to our children — trauma. And so as we fire the teachers who sexually abuse our children, we will be firing the teachers who do racist things to our children and traumatize them. And while our district might not be completely on there, [the Oregon Education Association] is working on it, all right? [The National Education Association] is working on it. And so it's just a matter of time; so it's like you either evolve or dissolve.

Here's the clip:

— Mythinformed MKE (@MythinformedMKE) 1622138864.0

The Daily Caller said it reached out to the Beaverton School District for comment but did not receive a response at the time of publication.

Anything else?

Watkins' LinkedIn page indicates she's an "Antiracist Educator" who's "Racial Trauma Informed" and also is a speaker and writer. She's been a teacher since 1998, has taught in the Beaverton School District for more than 16 years, and holds master's degrees in education and creative writing.

The above clip was taken from a longer session on adopting anti-racism in the district. At the beginning of the session Watkins introduces herself along with others. Later in the session — just after the 23-minute mark — she launches into her "not nice and not sweet" speech.

The group that posted the longer session to YouTube — Parents Defending Education — indicated in the clip's description that the session took place in February and was titled "Equity ABAR Summit: If Not You Then Who?" The description said "ABAR" stands for "anti-bias, anti-racism" teaching related to critical race theory. And as TheBlaze has reported, many folks are pushing back hard against critical race theory.

U.S. Embassy warns people fleeing an active volcano about the COVID dangers associated with cruise ships

The CDC drew jeers and condemnation on social media Friday after evacuees fleeing an active volcano via a Royal Caribbean ship were warned that traveling on cruise ships is not advised due to a higher risk of contracting COVID-19.

However, it appears a U.S. embassy might have made the call to remind the people running from eruptions of the latest coronavirus safety measures.

What are the details?

The Associated Press reported that the La Soufriere volcano on the island of St. Vincent has been shooting out explosions of gas and ash for the past week, sending tens of thousands of residents fleeing.

The last time the volcano put off similar blasts was more than a century ago, when some 1,700 people were killed. The current explosions have not yet caused any deaths, but the roofs of homes have collapsed from the weight of the fallen ash and a lot of water supplies have been contaminated.

The outlet reported that "British, U.S. and Canadian nationals were being evacuated aboard Royal Caribbean Cruises' Celebrity Reflection from the harbor in the Kingstown, capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines."

The U.S. Embassy in Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS, sent out a "natural disaster alert" notifying Americans on St. Vincent that they had coordinated with Royal Caribbean Cruises "for a transit opportunity" to depart the island on Friday and drop everyone off in St. Martin the next day.

Then, the embassy issued this warning:

CDC recommends against travel on cruise ships because the chance of getting COVID-19 on cruise ships is higher since the virus appears to spread more easily between people in close quarters aboard ships. See link to CDC guidance below.

In reaction, Royal Caribbean Blog tweeted out, "The CDC actually warned people fleeing a volcano that cruise ships are unsafe because of Covid-19."

Most people on Twitter reacted with fury. One person joked that the CDC director's message was essentially, "I know you will probably burn to death but... floating Petri dish is bad."

Another wrote, "@CDCgov seems to be out of bounds lately. Volcano & all it's fireballs vs ship of supplies to help ppl dealing with the volcano (with limited exposure handing off goods). It's a no brainer. #Cruise."

Someone else chimed in, "So die in lava instead? Sure that's more safe."

But others said the whole thing was a big misunderstanding, and that the U.S. embassy made the call to include the CDC's latest guidance.

One person tweeted, "You're misinterpreting the posting from the US Embassy in Barbados. The Embassy was just repeating the latest CDC guidance, which was updated on the CDC website on April 2nd, which is also linked in the posting. The CDC guidance was NOT related to the eruption or evacuation."

Another added, "It is clear the CDC did NOT do that. The CDC guidance is for cruise ship travel in general. The embassy added the CDC guidance on cruise ships, I assume to be thorough and for people who have other choices to use those."

North Korea fires off short-range missiles after warning Biden administration not to cause 'a stink'

North Korea fired off two-short range missiles over the weekend, days after the sister of dictator Kim Jong Un warned the Biden administration against "causing a stink" in its dealings with the communist regime.

What are the details?

The Washington Post first reported on the missile tests, saying they represent Kim's "first direct challenge to President [Joe] Biden, whose aides have not yet outlined their approach to the regime's nuclear threat amid an ongoing review of the U.S.-North Korea policy."

A U.S. official later confirmed that North Korea conducted the missile tests over the weekend.

Thus far, North Korea has ignored the Biden administration's attempts to talk directly, but Kim's sister, Kim Yo Jong, issued a statement via the country's state-run news agency last week, CNN reported.

Ms. Kim's statement read:

"We take this opportunity to warn the new US administration trying hard to give off powder smell in our land: If it wants to sleep in peace for (the) coming four years, it had better refrain from causing a stink at its first step."

According to ABC News, North Korea also "recently complained publicly about a new round of American and South Korean military exercises taking place in South Korea."

Also last week, North Korea's first vice minister of foreign affairs, Choe Son Hui, issued a statement saying, "We have already declared our stand that no [Democratic People's Republic of Korea]-U.S. contact and dialogue of any kind can be possible unless the U.S. rolls back its hostile policy towards the DPRK," The Hill reported.

Former President Donald Trump famously met with Kim in 2018, establishing a hand-shake deal wherein the North Korean dictator agreed to cease his government's testing of long-range missiles.

Since then, the isolationist nation has not fired off long-range missiles, but continued to conduct short-range tests during the Trump administration.

Then, in October of last year, North Korea rolled out what appears to be one of the largest intercontinental ballistic missiles in the world during a military parade.

The commander of U.S. Northern Command, Gen. Glen VanHerck, told Congress last week in written testimony:

"The Kim Jong Un regime has achieved alarming success in its quest to demonstrate the capability to threaten the U.S. homeland with nuclear-armed ICBMs, believing such weapons are necessary to deter U.S. military action and ensure his regime's survival.
"The North Korean regime has also indicated that it is no longer bound by the unilateral nuclear and ICBM testing moratorium announced in 2018, suggesting that Kim may begin flight testing an improved ICBM design in the near future."
