Tech elites warn ‘reality itself’ may not survive the AI revolution

When Elon Musk warns that money may soon lose its meaning and Dario Amodei speaks of an AI-driven class war, you might think the media would take notice. These aren’t fringe voices. Musk ranks among the world’s most recognizable tech leaders, and Amodei is the CEO of Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company developing advanced models that compete with OpenAI.

Together, they are two of the most influential figures shaping the AI revolution. And they’re warning that artificial intelligence will redefine everything — from work and value to meaning and even our grasp of reality.

But the public isn’t listening. Worse, many hear the warnings and choose to ignore them.

Warnings from inside the machine

At the 2025 Davos conference, hosted by the World Economic Forum, Amodei made a prediction that should have dominated headlines. Within a few years, he said, AI systems will outperform nearly all humans at almost every task — and eventually surpass us in everything.

“When that happens,” Amodei said, “we will need to have a conversation about how we organize our economy. How do humans find meaning?”

Either we begin serious conversations about protecting liberty and individual autonomy in an AI-driven world, or we allow a small group of global elites to shape the future for us.

The pace of change is alarming, but the scale may be even more so. Amodei warns that if 30% of human labor becomes fully automated, it could ignite a class war between the displaced and the privileged. Entire segments of the population could become economically “useless” in a system no longer designed for them.

Elon Musk, never one to shy away from bold predictions, recently said that AI-powered humanoid robots will eliminate all labor scarcity. “You can produce any product, provide any service. There’s really no limit to the economy at that point,” Musk said.

Will money even be meaningful?” Musk mused. “I don’t know. It might not be.”

Old assumptions collapse

These tech leaders are not warning about some minor disruption. They’re predicting the collapse of the core systems that shape human life: labor, value, currency, and purpose. And they’re not alone.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has warned that AI could reshape personal identity, especially if children begin forming bonds with AI companions. Filmmaker James Cameron says reality already feels more frightening than “The Terminator” because AI now powers corporate systems that track our data, beliefs, and movements. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has raised alarms about large language models manipulating public opinion, setting trends, and shaping discourse without our awareness.

Geoffrey Hinton — one of the “Godfathers of AI” and a former Google executive — resigned in 2023 to speak more freely about the dangers of the technology he helped create. He warned that AI may soon outsmart humans, spread misinformation on a massive scale, and even threaten humanity’s survival. “It’s hard to see how you can prevent the bad actors from using [AI] for bad things,” he said.

These aren’t fringe voices. These are the people building the systems that will define the next century. And they’re warning us — loudly.

We must start the conversation

Despite repeated warnings, most politicians, media outlets, and the public remain disturbingly indifferent. As machines advance to outperform humans intellectually and physically, much of the attention remains fixed on AI-generated art and customer service chatbots — not the profound societal upheaval industry leaders say is coming.

The recklessness lies not only in developing this technology, but in ignoring the very people building it when they warn that it could upend society and redefine the human experience.

This moment calls for more than fascination or fear. It requires a collective awakening and urgent debate. How should society prepare for a future in which AI systems replace vast segments of the workforce? What happens when the economy deems millions of people economically “useless”? And how do we prevent unelected technocrats from seizing the power to decide those outcomes?

The path forward provides no room for neutrality. Either we begin serious conversations about protecting liberty and individual autonomy in an AI-driven world, or we allow a small group of global elites to shape the future for us.

The creators of AI are sounding the alarm. We’d better start listening.

Alarm sounded over graffiti, flyers, online posts reacting to shooting death of health insurance company head

Police are investigating "Kill your CEO" graffiti spray-painted in white on multiple businesses over the weekend in Chicago, WLS-TV reported.

The vandalism comes after the targeted, fatal shooting last Wednesday of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, in New York City, the station said.

'F*** him may he rest in piss.'

As you might guess, it wasn't an isolated case.

WLS in a related report said a New York Police Department bulletin was issued Tuesday warning of increased risk for health care executives and the possibility of copycat perps.

The station, citing the bulletin, said online posts have listed the names and salaries of several health insurance executives, multiple "Wanted" flyers highlighting corporate executives have been posted throughout Manhattan, and social media users continue to celebrate Thompson's death.

WLS said many social media posts have heralded shooting suspect Luigi Mangione as a "martyr" — and the NYPD encouraged companies to increase precautions and security for executives since Thompson's fatal shooting could "inspire a variety of extremists and grievance-driven malicious actors to violence."

According to the station, the NYPD bulletin said "both prior to and after the suspected perpetrator's identification and arrest, some online users across social media platforms reacted positively to the killing, encouraged future targeting of similar executives, and shared conspiracy theories regarding the shooting."

WLS said the bulletin called out a viral social media post listing the names and salaries of eight health insurance company CEOs and that some online users viewed it as "a hitlist and that CEOs should be afraid."

The station added that the "Wanted" posters in Manhattan showed images of corporate executives and bullet-shaped graphics warning, "UnitedHealthcare killed everyday people for the sake of profit. As a result Brian Thompson was denied his claim to life. Who will be denied next?" and "Wall Street CEOs Should Not Feel Safe, Deny, Defend, Depose." Bullet casings found at the scene of Thompson's killing in front of a Manhattan Hilton hotel apparently were inscribed with words such as "delay” and “deny" which reportedly refer to health insurance claim denial tactics.

WLS added that the bulletin also included examples of online users saying Thompson deserved to be murdered due to his role in the health insurance industry, such as: "My mom was denied chemo multiple times and suffered tremendously they missed her cancer for two years because she was constantly denied... she will have life altering damage because of it. F*** him may he rest in piss."

Blaze News previously reported that just hours after Thompson was fatally shot, controversial, polarizing former Washington Post writer Taylor Lorenz posted online, "And people wonder why we want these executives dead."

What's more, Lorenz doubled down on her comments, telling Piers Morgan of "Piers Morgan Uncensored" on Monday that she "felt, along with so many other Americans, joy" upon learning of Thompson's slaying.

Glenn Beck, co-founder of Blaze Media, wrote an op-ed the day after Thompson's death that his killing "highlights a rising tide of anti-institutional rage" and that we have a choice "about whether we will uphold the principles of justice or descend into chaos."

'We will put your fat a** in prison': Letitia James gets absolutely excoriated by prominent Trump legal ally

After Donald Trump decisively beat Kamala Harris in Tuesday's presidential election, Trump-hating New York Attorney General Letitia James turned quite a few heads with a bizarre and cryptic speech vowing to "fight back" against the president-elect.

James — who campaigned for her office on the promise that she would go after Trump and sued him for hundreds of millions — spoke somberly with whispered endings to phrases, frequent dramatic pauses, and clipped, halting pronunciations of key words that seemed to reflect anger, shock, and sadness over Trump's victory.

'I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term. Because listen here, sweetheart: We’re not messing around this time.'

"We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result," James went on to say. "And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before. We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again, because as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."

You can view video of her relevant remarks here, starting at the 9:20 mark.

'Let me just say this to Big Tish James'

One prominent Trump legal ally was having none of James' tough talk — and gave it right back to her.

Attorney Mike Davis — founder of the Article III Project, which "defends constitutionalist judges and the rule of law" — absolutely excoriated James during an appearance on "The Benny Show" podcast Thursday.

"Let me just say this to Big Tish James, the New York attorney general," Davis said. "I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term. Because listen here, sweetheart: We’re not messing around this time. And we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights, and I promise you that."

Davis also warned James to "think long and hard before you want to violate President Trump’s constitutional rights or any other American’s constitutional rights. ... It’s not gonna happen again."

Fox News said it reached out to James' office seeking a response to Davis' comments.

The cable network and other outlets characterized Davis as a possible attorney general candidate in the Trump administration, but Davis said in a Friday X post that while he "strongly" supports the president-elect, he's "not going into his administration and [is] not under consideration for Attorney General."

"As I have made crystal clear, I do not speak for President Trump or anyone else," Davis added in his post. "Like tens of millions of other private citizens, I am outraged by the lawfare and weaponization of our system of justice, including the New York Attorney General’s political crusade. All of the witch hunts have to end so our Republic can survive and prosper under the leadership of President Trump."

Anything else?

Following James' speech, Fox News legal editor Kerri Urbahn blasted James, saying it was "maybe the most distasteful speech I've ever seen a government official give after someone won the American presidency, and I think it reflects exactly how Letitia James has been this entire time."

Urbahn added that James "has done everything in her power to destroy Donald Trump. She failed. Do you know how we know she failed? Because Donald Trump won decisively last night. This lawfare campaign that we have seen waged against Trump by attorneys general, by federal and state prosecutors, and doing so by twisting the law in ways they had never done before. ... They used the law against Donald Trump in ways they've never used against anyone else in their states, in this country, and the American people spoke loud and clear last night and said, 'We're done with this.' And yet for the attorney general of the state of New York to go on and give that speech just now is disgraceful."

While the Department of Justice has moved to end federal cases against Trump before he takes office in January, state cases against him — such as the civil fraud case James brought against Trump resulting in more than $450 million in penalties against him — still hang in the balance.

Secret Service Whistleblower Warns There Will Be More Assassination Attempts

A Secret Service whistleblower warned Monday of another assassination attempt against former President Trump ahead of November's election.

Warning: New Biden policy is about to crush small businesses in 2024

A new Biden rule is about to blindside 32 million small businesses with traps that could land entrepreneurs in jail.

The Corporate Transparency Act goes into effect on January 1, 2024, and has been marketed as a way to prevent money laundering — but it suspiciously only targets the smallest of small businesses.

“What this looks like is, ‘Let’s attack the smallest business owners that we have in our economy and get them to close their doors!' That’s what it feels like to me,” Glenn Beck explains.

Former investment banker Carol Roth agrees.

“It’s part that, and it’s part a massive data collection program that nobody knows about,” Roth tells Glenn.

“If you’re a single-member LLC or if your business has an S corp, even if you don’t have employees, you’re impacted,” Roth continues, adding that those businesses will “have to register with a group that’s out of the treasury called FINSEN, which is the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.”

However, if you’re a large business owner with at least 20 employees and $5 million in revenue, you’re exempt.

“What crappy money launderer are you that you’re not at least making $5 million?” Glenn comments, shocked.

“You’re money laundering for Doritos,” Roth laughs. “That’s what the ridiculousness of it is, the burden, the invasion of privacy, the collection of small business information.”

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden, who makes $5 million in one job, walks free.

It will cost small businesses $85 to prepare and submit the initial beneficial ownership information report.

“And if you don’t do it exactly right, a massive fine is coming your way,” Glenn says, to which Roth adds, “Not only fine, but you could also go to jail.”

The jail penalty is enforced if a small business owner does not participate.

The rule was proposed in January 2020 when Trump was still in office.

“It went to his desk, both houses voted for it, went to his desk — he vetoed it,” Glenn says.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy seeks to meet with Putin to reach a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing crisis

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin so that they may find a resolution to the ongoing crisis and violence along their shared border, the Associated Press reported.

“I don’t know what the president of the Russian Federation wants, so I am proposing a meeting,” Zelenskyy said during the Munich Security Conference.

Zelenskyy affirmed that he is dedicated to finding a diplomatic solution to dissolve tensions between Ukraine and Russia.

He said, “Ukraine will continue to follow only the diplomatic path for the sake of a peaceful settlement.”

Zelenskyy made these statements just hours after separatist leaders in the eastern regions of Ukraine initiated a full military mobilization. Subsequently, leaders of Western nations emphasized to Russia that there would be “dire warnings” should they proceed with invading Ukraine.

Fearing for the safety of their citizens, Germany and Austria ordered their citizens to evacuate Ukraine and the German airline Lufthansa ceased to provide service to Kyiv and Odessa – both cities are at risk of being targeted in a Russian invasion.

The New York Times reported that despite not launching an invasion, Russian forces continue to launch shells into towns in eastern Ukraine. Residents of this area have subsequently fled.

Separatists in Ukraine’s eastern region asserted that Ukrainian leadership has been planning a large-scale offensive against them and their Russian allies.

The notion of a Ukrainian offensive has largely been dismissed by Western leaders as counterintuitive considering that Russian forces are currently surrounding the country.

At the Munich Security Conference, where Zelenskyy reaffirmed his dedication to diplomacy, Western leaders displayed a united front and repeated their calls for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.

Vice President Kamala Harris referred to the ongoing crisis as “a defining moment” for European security and the defense of democratic values.

Harris warned that if Russia were to invade Ukraine the United States and its allies would restrict Russia’s access to financial institutions, limit technology exports to the country, and target “those who are complicit and those who aid and direct this unprovoked invasion.”

She said, “Russia continues to claim it is ready for talks while at the same time it narrows the avenues for diplomacy. Their actions simply do not match their words.”

Despite many of the parties invested in the ongoing crisis insisting that diplomacy is the only way forward, the New York Times reported that President Joe Biden said that the United States has intelligence showing that Putin has made a final decision to reject diplomacy and invade Ukraine.

Tulsi Gabbard says Jussie Smollett 'spit in the face of real victims of bigotry' and should receive maximum sentence as 'warning' for 'future hoaxers'

Former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday said convicted hate-crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett "spit in the face of real victims of bigotry" by "lying about being attacked because of his race" and "should be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law to serve as an example and to send a very strong message to anyone who thinks about pulling a hoax like this in the future."

What else did Gabbard say?

The Democrat from Hawaii offered her take in a TikTok video she posted to her Twitter account and added that Smollett has "rightly been found guilty by a jury of his peers" and "needs to apologize to the American people" for "what he did."

In the text of her Twitter post, Gabbard said Smollett's actions were a "slap in the face of actual victims of bigotry" and that a maximum sentence would serve as a "warning to potential future hoaxers."

Jussie Smollett was rightly found guilty by a jury of his peers. But he has not yet been sentenced. His lies are a slap in the face of actual victims of bigotry. He should be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law to serve as an example & warning to potential future hoaxers.pic.twitter.com/mHZVTUVBCj
— Tulsi Gabbard 🌺 (@Tulsi Gabbard 🌺) 1639481762

Smollett was convicted last week of felony disorderly conduct for faking a hate crime against himself in Chicago in January 2019 and lying to law enforcement about it.

Predictably, Hollywood leftists remained silent about the embarrassment Smollett's guilty verdicts on five of six counts brought to their ranks.

But Gabbard isn't from Tinseltown, and she's not a leftist. In fact, Gabbard has been outspoken for quite a while with views that easily could be construed as more Republican and conservative than Democratic and liberal:

 • Last month she blasted prosecutors in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial, saying they were "motivated by politics" as they went after the young defendant — and that their actions "should be considered criminal." Rittenhouse testified he acted in self defense when he fatally shot two men and seriously wounded another amid rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020. He was found not guilty on all counts.
 • Also in November Gabbard celebrated Republican Glenn Youngkin's win over Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial election as "a victory for all Americans. Why? Because it was a resounding rejection of efforts to divide us by race, the stripping of parental rights, and arrogant, deaf leaders. This benefits us all."
 • In September, she compared President Joe Biden — a fellow Democrat whom she's called her friend — to an "autocrat" for attacking border patrol agents who were falsely accused of abusing Haitian migrants.
 • In May Gabbard said Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot — another fellow Democrat — should resign after granting interviews only to journalists and reporters of color.

A Teacher Explains The Massive Challenges Young Americans Don’t Want To Face, But Must

Jeremy Adams' book, 'Hollowed Out,' offers an alarming diagnosis, and a little hope, for a generation that has rejected family and tradition for a damaging digital existence.

Woke Oregon teacher warns colleagues they'll be 'fired' if they don't 'come to the light' and become 'anti-racist'

An Oregon eighth-grade teacher was recorded on a Zoom video session warning fellow teachers they will be "fired" if they don't "come to the light" and become "anti-racist."

What are the details?

Katherine Watkins — a humanities teacher at Cedar Park Middle School in the Beaverton School District — was decked out in what appeared to be African-inspired garb as she introduced herself with the pronouns "she, her, we, and us."

Then later in the session she declared, "I'm gonna say somethin' that's not nice and not sweet, but it's true" — and then read her colleagues the riot act.

If you're not evolving into an anti-racist educator, you're making yourself obsolete. ... Our district is only getting browner and browner [with respect to students]. ... Obviously, you can't change your melanin, all right? But you can change your mind so that you can actually function in a district that is full of BIPOC [black, indigenous, and people of color] children. So if you're being resistant, I understand that. But you're gonna have to eventually come to the light. Because if you're going to keep with those old views of colonialism, it's gonna lead to being fired. Because you're going to be doing damage to our children — trauma. And so as we fire the teachers who sexually abuse our children, we will be firing the teachers who do racist things to our children and traumatize them. And while our district might not be completely on there, [the Oregon Education Association] is working on it, all right? [The National Education Association] is working on it. And so it's just a matter of time; so it's like you either evolve or dissolve.

Here's the clip:

— Mythinformed MKE (@MythinformedMKE) 1622138864.0

The Daily Caller said it reached out to the Beaverton School District for comment but did not receive a response at the time of publication.

Anything else?

Watkins' LinkedIn page indicates she's an "Antiracist Educator" who's "Racial Trauma Informed" and also is a speaker and writer. She's been a teacher since 1998, has taught in the Beaverton School District for more than 16 years, and holds master's degrees in education and creative writing.

The above clip was taken from a longer session on adopting anti-racism in the district. At the beginning of the session Watkins introduces herself along with others. Later in the session — just after the 23-minute mark — she launches into her "not nice and not sweet" speech.

The group that posted the longer session to YouTube — Parents Defending Education — indicated in the clip's description that the session took place in February and was titled "Equity ABAR Summit: If Not You Then Who?" The description said "ABAR" stands for "anti-bias, anti-racism" teaching related to critical race theory. And as TheBlaze has reported, many folks are pushing back hard against critical race theory.
