3 Ways Feminism Laid The Groundwork For Transgenderism

Feminism fundamentally changed the way Western civilization thinks about biology, language, and law.

Breastfeeding charity ousts trustees who sought to exclude men from its services

La Leche League is a decades-old non-governmental organization present in nearly 90 countries whose stated mission is to help "mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education."

LLL volunteers understand that breastfeeding is the most suitable source of nutrients for infants. Not only does naturally occurring breast milk help with human growth, it also helps stave off disease, accelerate immunity development, and aid in intestinal colonization.

Although breastfeeding is exclusively the province of women, gender ideologues keen to ignore the insuperable differences between the sexes apparently regard it it as yet another female space to invade. In recent years, radicals on both sides of the Atlantic have endeavored to do so by way of more make-believe, medical experimentation, and coercion.

LLL's U.S.-based board of directors recently informed the British wing of the lactation charity, which has over 70 groups across the U.K., that it must support "male lactation," according to the Telegraph. Accordingly, the LLLGB must cater to transvestic men who seek to have infants choke back their nausea medication-induced discharge.

The LLLGB was further informed that the charity's use of the term "mother" might amount to a "roadblock" and that doubts over gender ideology were "harmful."

Late last year, six of the LLGB's 12 trustees took a stand against the directors' attempt to insert mentally-compromised men into women's spaces nationwide, indicating that the demand contravened British law, which protects sex-segregated spaces. They implored the U.S.-based board to permit the organization to remain single-sex, as groups in Muslim countries and other nations resistant to gender ideology are permitted.

The international wing of the LLL responded in February, "We focus on providing breastfeeding support and understand the importance of making our spaces welcoming to all those who want to breastfeed or give their babies human milk."

"We don't argue with parents or other leaders about how they identify; we accept them with respect, just as they say they are, and do not refer to them with words that conflict with their identity," added LLLI.

For having dared to suggest that babies deserve real breast milk contra some drug-induced slurry from fetishists, the LLLI suspended the dissenting trustees, stating, "The continued promotion of LLL as an organization that excludes people is damaging to LLL's credibility."

One LLLGB trustee told the Telegraph, "Many breastfeeding supporters like me feel utterly disheartened by the way our charity has become obsessed and sidetracked by sex and gender issues. In the most recent diktat, we were informed that our charity is not and 'cannot become a single-sex' charity."

"We had already been told that the term 'mother' could be a 'roadblock'. Any attempt to question or debate these positions is hounded down as 'harmful,'" continued the trustee. "But these are not small changes or 'additive' terms to our messaging: it is fundamentally problematic to delivering on our philosophy as a charity. Crucially, it is not in the interests of mothers or babies."

The ousted trustees said in a statement obtained by the maternity care advocacy coalition With Woman, "La Leche League (LLL) has always been about mother-to-mother support to breastfeed. Being able to provide a female-only service is fundamental to the rights, safety and wellbeing of both mothers and babies."

"Pressure to abandon mother-only breastfeeding services has been building internationally at LLL for several years as gender-identity activism has gathered force," continued the statement. "We are now at the point that group leaders around the world are being told they must support 'male lactation.'"

The trustees indicated they have reached out to Britain's Charity Commission, which regulates registered charities in England and Wales. The Critic reported that the whistleblowers' report claims the charity is no longer acting in the beneficiaries' interest.

"We would like to reassure group leaders and the mothers who benefit from LLLGB's services that we are confident the law is on our side, as mother is a sex-based term in UK law," said the trustees.

A spokeswoman for the commission told the Telegraph, "We have received correspondence from groups of trustees, alerting us to a disagreement among the charity’s board about the way in which the charity delivers its services. We are assessing the information to determine whether this is a matter for the Commission as regulator to become involved in."

The U.K.-based Women's Rights Network said in a statement, "Let's call this what it is. An organisation helping men who want to put their nipples into babies' mouths, an suspending six trustees who rightly object. Babies should no be used to satisfy a male fetish. We applaud the LLL6."

It appears the LLL has been racing down the road to absurdity since at least 2020 when it said it supported "everyone who wants to breastfeed or chestfeed in reaching their goals. We do not discriminate based on sex, gender or gender identity. Trans men, trans women and non-binary individuals may choose to breastfeed or chestfeed their babies. You do not need to have given birth to breastfeed or chestfeed, as we can also see in the experiences of those nursing adopted babies."

DeSantis tells Biden administration to pound sand: Florida 'will not comply' with woke Title IX rules

The Biden administration released its final Title IX regulations last week, effectively establishing "gender identity" as a protected class and requiring tens of thousands of schools across the country to embrace radical gender ideology, largely at the expense of girls.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) told the Democratic administration to pound sand Thursday, declaring the Sunshine State "will not comply."

Rules from radicals

According to the late Birch Bayh of Indiana, the Democratic senator who formally introduced Title IX to Congress in 1972, the purpose behind the original statute was to address institutional discrimination against women in federally funded education programs and activities.

The Biden administration — ostensibly stricken with a strain of social constructivism that has left it incapable of defining what a woman is and is not — infected Title IX with its philosophy last week, making changes that former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos told the National Review "guts the half century of protections and opportunities for women and callously replaces them with radical gender theory, as Biden's far-left political base demanded."

"I never thought I'd see the day where Title IX would be used to harm women, but sadly, that day has come," added DeVos.

Blaze News previously reported that under the new rules, sex discrimination now includes sexual preferences and "gender identity." Sex-based harassment now includes "harassment" on these bases.

The Biden Department of Education clarified that schools can no longer separate or treat people differently based on sex, stressing that preventing "someone from participating in school (including in sex-separate activities) consistent with their gender identity causes that person more than de minimis harm."

In effect, federally funded institutions and programs must allow trans-identifying men into women's locker rooms and restrooms. Those that refuse could face legal action.

DOE Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a statement, "These final regulations build on the legacy of Title IX by clarifying that all our nation's students can access schools that are safe, welcoming, and respect their rights."

'Where woke goes to die'

After securing a landslide re-election win in 2022 and swearing his oath of office on a Bible on loan from nationally syndicated radio host and cofounder of Blaze Media Glenn Beck, Republican Gov. DeSantis emphasized that "Florida is where woke goes to die."

DeSantis, who has so far made good on that pledge, doubled down Thursday, stating in a video, "Florida rejects Joe Biden's attempt to rewrite Title IX. We will not comply and will fight back."

"We are not going to let Joe Biden try to inject men into women's activities. We are not going to let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents. And we are not going to let Joe Biden abuse his constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida," added the governor.

"We are not going to let Biden get away with it," continued DeSantis, whose state made the invasion of women's bathrooms by men a criminal offense last year. "We will not comply."

— (@)

Florida Education Commissioner Manny Diaz Jr. noted on X, "Biden's proposed changes will harm students and eliminate protections for girls at school. We will not fall in line with this radical agenda!"

Diaz noted Wednesday in a letter to superintendents, "At Governor Ron DeSantis' direction, no educational institutions should begin implementing any changes."

The education commissioner stressed that "instead of implementing Congress's clear directive to prevent discrimination based on biological sex, the Biden administration maims the statute beyond recognition" in an effort to "gaslight the country into believing that biological sex no longer has any meaning."

"In doing so, it seeks to commandeer Florida's educational institutions and force them to violate various federal and state laws, including the First Amendment and Florida's Parental Rights in Education Act, as well as statutes to protect students' privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms," continued Diaz. "In Florida, we respect parents’ rights to direct their children’s education. We protect our students’ safety and privacy. And we make sure every student is given the chance to thrive on and off campus. We will keep pressing to accomplish these goals."

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody made clear that the Sunshine State would be challenging "this betrayal of women in court."

Biden’s new Title IX rules shred protections for women—that so many fought for over decades. The idea that young girls can now legally be forced to undress in the same room with males in what is supposed to be a safe space like a locker room, that a young woman could be randomly…

DeSantis' initiative was lauded by various conservatives and parental rights advocates.

State Rep. Fred Deutsch (R) of South Dakota said, "Every state should follow Florida's lead to reject Biden's rewrite of Title IX."

Nicky Neily, founder and president of Parents Defending Education, wrote, "We need more courageous leaders like Governor Ron DeSantis who reject and fight back against the Biden Administration's extreme Title IX changes."

Trudeau-appointed Supreme Court justice opts for 'person with a vagina' rather than 'woman' in rape case

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://www.theblaze.com/media-library/trudeau-appointed-supreme-court-justice-opts-for-person-with-a-vagina-rather-than-woman-in-rape-case.jpg?id=51734441&width=1200&height=600&coordinates=0,0,0,180 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//www.theblaze.com/media-library/trudeau-appointed-supreme-court-justice-opts-for-person-with-a-vagina-rather-than-woman-in-rape-case.jpg%3Fid%3D51734441%26width%3D1200%26height%3D600%26coordinates%3D0%2C0%2C0%2C180%22%7D" expand=1]

Leftists captive to radical gender ideology routinely engage in mental gymnastics in order to reference the very immutable realities they seek to undermine.

The Biden administration replaced the term "mother" with "birthing person" in a public health section of a 2022 budget. Rather than use the word "woman," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) opted instead for "menstruating people."

It appears social constructivism has had a similar impact north of the border.

A Trudeau appointee on the Supreme Court of Canada recently took issue with a lower court's use of the word "woman." According to Justice Sheilah Martin, it would have been less confusing for an officer of the court to refer to a female rape victim — in a case that was not involving transvestites or non-straights — as a "person with a vagina."

Critics have roundly ridiculed the Canadian high court over its embrace of woke language conventions, especially when dealing with a case as serious as rape.

Background

The court took up two separate and unrelated rape cases linked only because the "Court of Appeals overturned the convictions on the basis of alleged errors of law in the trial judges' credibility and reliability assessments."

According to the Court of Appeals, the "trial judges erred in law by making assumptions about human behavior not grounded in the evidence."

One of the cases concerned Christopher James Kruk's rape conviction. Kruk reportedly found a woman "intoxicated, lost, and distressed one night in downtown Vancouver." He took her to his house where he claimed she spilled water on herself then passed out with her pants around her ankles. The victim testified that she woke up to find herself in a state of undress with Kruk actively violating her.

The trial judge stated, "[The complainant's] evidence is devoid of detail, yet she claims to be certain that she was not mistaken. She said she felt [Mr. Kruk's] penis inside her and she knew what she was feeling. In short, her tactile sense was engaged. It is extremely unlikely that a woman would be mistaken about that feeling."

The Court of Appeals indicated that the trial judge in Kruk's case erred in concluding that it would be unlikely a woman would be mistaken about the feeling of being raped.

'Engender[ing] confusion'

The Canadian Supreme Court overrode the Court of Appeals and upheld the original conviction at trial in its Friday ruling.

While Justice Martin agreed the trial judge's "conclusion was grounded in his assessment of the complainant's testimony," she took issue with his language.

Martin wrote that the trial judge's choice "to use the words 'a woman' may have been unfortunate and engendered confusion."

The judge, a former recipient of the YWCA's Advancement of Women Award, made sure to use her preferred turn of phrase in the same section, writing, "Where a person with a vagina testifies credibly and with certainty that they felt penile‑vaginal penetration, a trial judge must be entitled to conclude that they are unlikely to be mistaken."

The female justice did not appear to provide any explanation for why the word "woman" might create confusion in a case concerning a man's alleged rape of a woman. However, it has been suggested she may have been attempting to address what she called "an improper generalization" between women in general and the victim.

Nevertheless, the Trudeau appointee's use of the term "person with a vagina" is the first such usage in a Canadian judicial decision, reported the National Post.

Following the Friday decision, the high court and Martin, a "person with a vagina," were roundly ridiculed.

Conservative parliamentarian Melissa Lantsman responded to the ruling, writing, "No, there is nothing confusing about the word 'woman,' it's common sense. It's not hateful, bigoted, wrong or unfair in anyway. This is just complete nonsense that moves nothing forward. It's not 'progress.'"

The X user Wall Street Silver wrote, "Everything ok up there Canada? We are sort of worried about you guys."

Libs of TikTok tweeted, "RIP Canada."

The Toronto Sun highlighted that two days after the ruling, the Supreme Court of Canada posted a possibly confusing message to social media honoring female judges.

"March 10, we celebrate International Day of Women Judges, which recognized the importance of the full and equal participation of women at all levels of the judiciary," said the post, which featured an image of Martin.

Domestic extremist or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the mom

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://www.theblaze.com/media-library/domestic-extremist-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-mom.jpg?id=51636597&width=1200&height=800&coordinates=0,0,50,0 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//www.theblaze.com/media-library/domestic-extremist-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-mom.jpg%3Fid%3D51636597%26width%3D1200%26height%3D800%26coordinates%3D0%2C0%2C50%2C0%22%7D" expand=1]

The powers that be wanted to lock up Innocent Smith or have him committed. After all, the protagonist of G.K. Chesterton's "Manalive" — who figured a rooftop the ideal spot for a picnic and bullets life-giving "pills" for pessimists — had been accused of burglary, polygamy, desertion, and attempted murder.

Investigators soon discovered, however, that as his name would suggest, Smith was innocent.

Smith broke into his own house; had a torrid love affair with his own wife; walked "round the world" only to develop a greater appreciation for his home; and provided a nihilistic depressive with a newfound desire to live by way of the cocked-hammer tactic Tyler Durden would later embrace in "Fight Club."

Smith ruffled feathers and risked imprisonment because he "distinguished between custom and creed. He has broken the conventions, but he has kept the commandments." His peers considered him to be an extremist because he was radically in the right.

Peachy Keenan, contributing editor to the American Mind whose throwbacks to Chesterton prompted mine, hasn't waved a six-shooter threateningly at ghoulish intellectuals or consumed meals on her rooftop — not to my knowledge, anyway. She is, nonetheless, like Smith, another radical from that creedal bunch, who understands that life is better following ten God-given rules than chasing the 10,000 fads presently held dear by today's powers and principalities, especially when those fads lead to misery and ruin.

In her must-read 2023 book, "Domestic Extremist: A Practical Guide to Winning the Culture War" — for which a paperback edition is forthcoming — Mrs. Keenan indicts the fads and conventions that have ailed the United States and other Western nations, then offers a prescription for a way to turn things around.

Much ink has been spilled in recent years elaborating on grandiose strategies for fixing the nation. There has been, for instance, talk of regime change in Washington, reining in big business on Wall Street, and a reconquest of the universities.

Mrs. Keenan, a former pro-choice atheist who is now the God-fearing matriarch of a large Catholic family, alternatively makes a strong case for a solution much closer to home.

In "Domestic Extremist," Mrs. Keenan catalogs everything that feminism and the corresponding -isms on the left have taken away from or suppressed in Americans, American women in particular. These include parental authority; child-bearing years and fertility; the maternal instinct; female virtues such as modesty and chastity; mental and spiritual well-being; and the natural complementarity between the sexes.

While the clock has sadly run out for multitudes of victims and useful idiots, Keenan stresses that not all alive today are condemned to a similar fate — especially not if they act now.

Her thesis, in a word, comes down to "domesticity"; as in, all Americans should fully embrace it and never let go.

There are strong indicators that domesticity is the way back to sanity and victory, not only because it served our forebears well enough for eons, but because of what evils can be directly linked to its suppression.

Mrs. Keenan notes with precision and biting humor precisely how feminism transformed countless female adherents into the Borg: dispirited, sterile, and interchangeable units of labor encouraged to suppress instinct, abort children, and ape supposedly masculine traits in pursuit of meaningless status and the benefit of their antihuman overseers; the noncommittal men happy to swipe right on the next conquest; employers spared from having an employee depart for maternity leave; and a fertility industry all too keen to bankrupt careerists who delayed child-rearing to live the "Sex and the City" lifestyle.

The victims at the outset appear predominantly to be those women who have rejected God and nature, but it's clear that everyone is ultimately affected, including the innumerable persons who will never be conceived and all those persons conceived who have been destroyed in Planned Parenthood's abattoirs.

"It's time to try something new, folks. And by new, I mean old," writes Keenan. "To fight back, some of us are going to have to reorient ourselves. Shift our mindsets. We're going to have to become ever so slightly more domestic."

For women specifically, this shift entails remaining "authentically female, as in, the timeless ways of being female: as a daughter, mother, and a wife. … It also means turning away from the diseased offerings of the elites, the media, Hollywood, your child's school, and Big Tech, and towards a more human lifestyle."

Mrs. Keenan reckons this natural, "organic" remedy will generate a social tsunami great enough to override the last ruinous waves of feminism, save our civilization from collapse, and thwart what Pope John Paul II elsewhere deemed the "culture of death."

In a brief exchange about "Domestic Extremist," Keenan told Blaze News, "The left had 100 years to accomplish their goals, and we just started fighting back recently."

While the title of the book might prompt some to imagine the pseudonymous mother lowering the armored plating onto her Killdozer, muttering something about un-governability, then taking tread to the gathering forces of darkness, Keenan, like Smith, has a "mostly peaceful" solution in mind.

Mrs. Kennan recommends having at least three kids, if physically able; marrying young, staying married, and remaining faithful; thwarting efforts by private and public forces to usurp your parental authority; and, should circumstances allow it, "Stay home with your babies as long as you can."

Winning is largely dependent upon more domestic extremists steeling that institution upon which all civilizations depend and every tyrant reviles — what Chesterton called the "triangle of truisms, of father, mother and child."

While ostensibly a defensive move in the short run, Mrs. Keenan makes expressly clear that the nuclear family is "radioactive to the Regime." A good offense often requires a great defense.

Once a domestic extremist has established her family such that it might register on the state's Geiger counters, Keenan told Blaze News that the best way to further harden your perimeter is "to flee government schools and do whatever it takes to ensure your kids keep their genders and minds intact from the brainwashing. And go to mass!"

"We must do our best to become more domestic than they could ever imagine. We must cling bitterly to our families, our men, our homes, our children, and our own identities," Keenan underscores in the book. "We will refuse to believe the Big Lies of feminism. We reclaim our children, and what we teach them. We will assert ownership and agency over our lives."

As any parent knows, battles can be won on the daily, but a victory in the broader war will require a multigenerational effort. Like Moses, most alive today will not enter the promised land. That doesn't mean there aren't some ways to expedite the process.

For those wishing to speed up the transition to extreme domesticity, Mrs. Keenan gives a nifty
traditional religion.

"When you become a 'person of faith,' like I did years ago, you get to jump ahead of all the laborious steps involved in becoming extremely domestic," wrote Keenan.

In addition to arguing the "Ten Commandments pretty much sum up the rules for a happy life," Mrs. Keenan suggests religious orthodoxy helps inoculate children against "the most depraved ideas of mainstream culture."

Just as Mrs. Keenan manages to infiltrate heavy subject matter with humor, the book is also saturated with her own faith and hope. She appears genuinely convinced that breaking with disordered convention, keeping the commandments, and becoming a domestic extremist is a winning formula and that victory is all but guaranteed.

When pressed about her certainty, Mrs. Keenan told Blaze News, "Humans don't want to live in abject misery, although our leaders want us to. I have faith that we will, in the end, win bigly, but it may get much worse before we do. And if we don't, you still win if you get to heaven."

Video: Female brutally beats up pair of women in store while crying little girl with attacker begs her to 'stop it!'

A female was caught on surveillance video brutally beating up a pair of women in an Omaha, Nebraska, convenience store recently while a crying little girl with the attacker begged her to "stop it!"

What are the details?

According to KETV-TV, the suspect who was wearing a brown coat entered the Mega Saver at 144th and Blondo Streets with a little girl just after 5 p.m. Feb. 16 and requested "an iPhone charger for a car."

The chargers were along the wall, the station said.

KETV said the suspect was there for a while, after which a conflict arose over buying the charger. "I'll pay for it, that's cool, but if it doesn't work in my car, can I return it?" she asked, according to the station.

There was a mix-up, and the female got upset, KETV said. "I feel like I'm being discriminated because y'all think I don't know what y'all saying, and that pisses me off," the female stated, according to the station.

KETV indicated that the suspect started swearing, which upset a couple of customers, and a yelling argument ensued — and the little girl in pink with the suspect started crying.

Soon the female suspect physically attacked one of the women, hitting her in the face at least three times.

The station said the suspect yelled profanities at the other customer. The suspect loudly asked, "You wanna get smacked, too?"

With that, the suspect slapped the retreating customer in the head from behind and then shoved her into a display, after which the victim fell the floor as items flew off shelves.

The suspect then walked over to the little girl, grabbed her hand, and appeared to begin to the leave the store — but she made a detour over to the victim she just knocked to floor and physically attacked her again.

As the crying little girl screamed for the suspect to "stop it!" the suspect attempted to stomp the victim who had raised up her foot up to protect herself — and then the suspect walked out the door with the little girl.

But it still wasn't over.

After placing the child in a car, the suspect actually came back into the store and went after the already beaten woman on the floor who yelled out, "Oh no! Here she comes again!"

The suspect replied over and over, "What'd you say? What'd you say?" as she hit and stomped and threw objects at the victim's head before finally leaving for good.

KETV said if you know the identity of the suspect, you can report it anonymously at Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP or online.

Thug reportedly hits 25-year-old woman over the head with baseball bat in random attack on NYC street

New York City police are looking for a male who reportedly hit a 25-year-old woman over the head with a baseball bat in a random attack earlier this month.

What are the details?

Detectives told WABC-TV the male struck the woman as she walked along 7th Avenue in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea. The attack took place just after 10 p.m. Feb. 8, WCBS-TV reported.

It appears the attack was unprovoked, WABC said, adding that the woman suffered a gash on her head as well as some bruising.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, a blue knit hat, and gray sneakers, WABC added.

How are people reacting?

A number of commenters sounded off under the New York Daily News' Facebook post about the attack:

 • "Every darn day and multiple times a day in NYC!!!" one commenter wrote.
 • "This is one of the reasons why I believe in the Second Amendment," another user declared.
 • "... They just know the elected officials are soft on crime and won’t do anything," another commenter stated. "That is why I’m changing my vote; no more for a group that does nothing but let these nuts go free."
 • "Is something in the water?????" another user wondered. "All this is not mental illness; this is a society of adults who were led to believe for every action, good or bad, there is no action."
 • "Jeez throw hot coffee on his face or karate chop that punk!!!!!!!" another commenter exclaimed.
 • "Keep voting [Democrat] tho," another user mocked. "[Former New York City Mayor] Rudy [Giuliani] kept the streets safer."
 • "That’s why I’m no longer voting Democratic," another commenter said.
 • "Capture. Convict. Execute," another user wrote.

Finally! Trump confirms list of potential VP candidates

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg?id=51536749&width=1245&height=700&coordinates=0,0,0,0 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg%3Fid%3D51536749%26width%3D1245%26height%3D700%26coordinates%3D0%2C0%2C0%2C0%22%7D" expand=1]

People have been anxiously awaiting Donald Trump’s VP candidate list, and now they finally have their wish.

“Donald Trump discussed a short list of potential VP candidates during [a recent] town hall meeting,” says Sara Gonzales.

“So it's, of course, Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida, Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds … and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.”

To gauge her followers’ feelings regarding the list of potential candidates, Sara posted the following poll on her Twitter page:

Unfortunately, “they only allow you to pick four choices, so I couldn't include all of them,” she says.

“Vivek’s running away with it at 50%, but Tulsi Gabbard at 20%, more than DeSantis?” she asks in disbelief.

“We are in such a cult-of-personality era in politics, where policy doesn't really matter,” says Glenn Beck chief researcher Jason Buttrill, adding that “Tulsi Gabbard [getting] 20% over an actual conservative with a proven track record like Ron DeSantis is terrifying.”

If you’re voting based on “the ability to destroy the left and track record, you vote 100% for Ron DeSantis; if you're voting for the smartest man in the room who’s got amazing ideas … you would vote for Vivek,” he continues, noting that Tulsi Gabbard may work well in a Trump administration as a member of the “State Department” or the “[Department of Defense]” but as far as policy goes, she’d be a terrible choice.

“She was a Bernie bro,” says Sara in agreement.

Doorbell camera video caught the moment when three individuals chased and tackled a woman in northwest Washington, D.C., over the weekend, sprayed mace in her face, apparently held a knife to her side, and stole her iPhone and other belongings.

Yet the 26-year-old victim told WTTG-TV after the attack that "I love D.C." and that she has no plans to move out of the city.

What are the details?

The woman was walking on 2nd Street Northwest just before midnight Sunday when she saw a black sedan pull up, after which three people got out and began running toward her, Fox News reported, citing a police report the cable news network said it obtained.

Video captured the moment when the victim was running away from the trio on a sidewalk — but they easily caught up to her, shoved her so hard that she fell to the ground, and then they gathered around her as she screamed.

Here's part of the video; based on the accompanying audio, it appears that at least two of the attackers could be females:

WTTG, citing the police report, said the trio stole her wallet with her debit and credit cards, her ID, and her insurance card. The station added that they also demanded she unlock her iPhone, which they also stole.

"I'm definitely feeling shaken up," the woman told WTTG Monday. "Just general feelings of being unsafe, like, in my neighborhood. I just feel, like, personally targeted and sort of violated."

When the station asked her if she's considering moving out of the city over the trauma of her experience, the woman replied, "No, I love D.C. It just makes me sad that this is going to change how I experience D.C. and how I interact with my neighborhood and my space around me."

WTTG said detectives are searching for the suspects and asking anyone with information to contact them.

While the station said the victim was left "crawling back to her home" after the attack, the end of the complete video of the attack — shown in WTTG's video report below — appears to depict the victim rising to her feet and walking back down the sidewalk.
