NBC reporter Yamiche Alcindor claims some Americans say the US is on the wrong track because Trump might get elected again

NBC reporter Yamiche Alcindor faced online criticism for her explanation of a poll showing that a large majority of Americans believe the U.S. is headed in the wrong direction.

Alcindor was a guest on MSNBC when she was asked to comment on a poll showing a whopping 74% of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction.

She opined about the reasons Americans would have to say the country was in the wrong direction and claimed that many were upset that former President Donald Trump might get elected again or that Republicans might steal the next election.

"But what you see really is on the Democratic side people that are very very worried about the direction of this country.

"They’re very worried especially about former President Trump possibly coming back into power, or former President Trump or another Republican stealing the election in 2022 or 2024, because we've seen so many election deniers be elected.

So a lot of Democrats on the Democratic side, they're very worried about abortion also, and abortion rights.

On the Republican side, Alcindor claimed that Americans were negative because of conspiracy theories about the 2020 election being stolen.

"They're worried that the country is going in the wrong direction because they're seeing too many people say that the election was free and fair, which of course it was," she continued.

She went on to say that Republicans are campaigning on anxiety because of high inflation and increasing gas prices, in addition to the pandemic continuing to have a negative effect on the economy.

The video of Alcindor's comments were circulated widely among those critical of Biden's policies.

On Sunday, Chuck Todd summarized the results of the latest poll from NBC News to which Alcindor was referring.

"We are less than three months before the midterms. Our brand new NBC News poll paints a bleak picture," said the NBC anchor.

"Americans are angry," he added. "They're disappointed. And they are worried about the future of this country."

Alcindor has been accused numerous times of being biased against Republicans in favor of Democrats and their policies.

PBS journalist ridiculed for bizarre description of pregnancies 'that will then turn into children'

A PBS journalist was mocked and ridiculed online for a bizarre comment appearing to preserve the liberal narrative that fetuses are not children until far after pregnancy has ended.

Yamiche Alcindor, also of NBC, said on MSNBC that she had been talking to a woman with tears in her eyes because she was so sad that some pregnant woman would find it harder to terminate their pregnancies.

"I talked to another woman who had tears in her eyes and said that she went up to the volunteers to thank them for their work because she said her, as a woman, who is an attorney, who has the means and resources, that she'll always be able to get an abortion because she'll always be able to fly to one of what they're calling the thirteen safe states, places that might continue to have abortions, like California or New York," said Alcindor.

"But for a lot of vulnerable women, women who are poor, women of color, they will be forced to have pregnancies that they cannot afford to terminate, and pregnancies that will then turn into children," she added.

Many on social media mocked the ill-fitting intrusion of a liberal narrative into Alcindor's reporting.

"The insane dual presupposition, used by nearly all abortion fanatics, is that (1) birth control does not exist, and that (2) sex does not have as one of its natural possibilities the creation of a child," responded Ben Shapiro.

"I literally can't keep up with the amounts of idiocy today," replied Brittany Hughes.

"Pregnancy doesn’t 'turn into children.' Pregnancy is a state of being during which a mother is carrying her child in her womb. Terminating a pregnancy via abortion means killing that mother’s child," read another popular response.

Alcindor's reporting joined the throng of left-wing responses to the leak of a draft majority decision by the Supreme Court to overturn the pro-abortion Roe v. Wade case.

Twitter torches PBS journalist over her question on the border crisis to President Biden at first media briefing

Yamiche Alcindor, the White House correspondent for PBS, faced a torrent of backlash after she tossed softball questions to President Joe Biden at the first official media briefing of his presidency Thursday.

Alcindor pressured Biden to allow more illegal immigrants into the country while telling him that migrants are coming to the border because of the perception that he was a "moral decent man" during the election.

"You said over and over again that immigrants shouldn't come to this country, right now this isn't the time to come. That message is not being received instead the perception of you that got you elected as a moral decent man is the reason why a lot of immigrants are coming to this country and entrusting you with unaccompanied minors," said Alcindor.

"How do you resolve that tension, and how are choosing what families can stay and what families can go given the fact that even though with Title 42, there are some families that are staying," she continued, "and is there a timeline for when we won't be seeing these overcrowded facilities run by CPD when it comes to unaccompanied minors?"

Biden disagreed with Alcindor and claimed that the increases in child migrant crossings at the border were due to seasonal fluctuations.

"Well look I guess I should be flattered people are coming because I'm the nice guy, that's the reason that it's happening, that I'm a decent man or however it is phrased. That's why they're coming because they know Biden is a good guy," he responded.

"The truth of the matter is, nothing has changed," Biden claimed. "It happens every single solitary year."

While the interaction was more combative than most recognized, many on Twitter pounced on Alcindor for saying Biden was elected because of the perception that he was a "moral decent" man.

"Fancy that! Reporter #2 @Yamiche was already standing up ready to ask her border question when Biden *randomly* called out her name. She tells him he is a 'moral decent man'. He agrees, says people think he is a 'good guy'," tweeted Fox News contributor Miranda Devine.

"Biden just called on @Yamiche from his hand-picked list of reporters, who proceeded to ask one of the most embarrassing, partisan questions I've ever seen," replied Caleb Hull to the exchange.

"Yamiche Alcindor is a partisan liar. She is a terrible person," responded Ryan Saavedra of the Daily Wire.

"Holy S*** - These people are worse than North Korea state TV," tweeted Benny Johnson.

"Yamiche should be hired as the DNC press Secretary," tweeted former Trump aide Mercedes Schlapp.

Others complained because Alcindor's question was premised on the claim that Biden's statements encouraged more migration.

"Ugh. @Yamiche embraces the bulls*** narrative that migrants are coming because they think Biden's a softy," tweeted Dan Froomkin of Press Watch.

"Yamiche makes the statement unproven that his words set off the surge. This is factually wrong," complained anti-Trump columnist Jen Rubin.

Alcindor was previously criticized on social media over what many saw as a tweet biased against a Republican member of Congress.
