Roslyn Singleton, who appeared on 'America's Got Talent' when her husband Ray auditioned, dies of brain cancer

Roslyn Singleton, a Navy veteran and the wife of former "America's Got Talent" contestant Ray Singleton, passed away from brain cancer at the age of 39 years old.

The woman appeared on AGT when her husband auditioned for the popular talent show.

"Our wife earned her wings ... while peacefully sleeping right at home where she wanted to be," Ray Singleton noted in an Instagram post. "This road ahead is going to be INCREDIBLY long & difficult! She taught us all SOMETHING…She’s where we’re all trying to get one day so no need to be sad! Now we celebrate her legacy, her impact, her story & HER SPIRIT! She will LIVE FOREVER!!"

The couple appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" after video of Ray singing to his wife had apparently gone viral. During their appearance, Roslyn explained that her first experience with brain cancer was in 2013. After that, she was healthy for six years before another growth was discovered and dealt with.

But sadly, as novanthealth.org noted, Roslyn got cancer again. "Whenever there's something going on in my life, God always puts the right people just right in front of me to make it a little easier," Roslyn said.

"I was devastated to hear that the incredible Roslyn passed away a few days ago," DeGeneres said in an Instagram post lamenting the woman's passing. "She was such a light in the face of really difficult circumstances. I hope her memory inspires you the way it inspires me. Sending all her loved ones so much love and strength, especially her amazing husband, Ray."

Former 'America's Got Talent' contestant 'Nightbirde' passes away after years-long battle against cancer

Former "America's Got Talent" contestant Jane Marczewski, a singer who used the name "Nightbirde," died on Saturday, according to a statement from her family.

"It is with the deepest heartache that we confirm that after a four year battle with cancer, Jane Marczewski, known to many of you as Nightbirde, passed away on February 19th 2022," her family said in a statement, according to reports.

"Those who knew her, enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke for every occasion — even if the joke was on her. Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus," the statement noted.

After Marczewski performed an original song titled "It's Okay" on the talent show, AGT's Simon Cowell gave the singer the golden buzzer, which meant that she would have been able to advance directly to the live shows.

But Marczewski was ultimately unable to keep competing on the popular television show due to her ongoing battle with cancer.

"Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already," she wrote on Instagram last year.

America's Got Talent issued a statement on social media acknowledging the sad news of Marczewski's passing: "Your voice, your story, and your message touched millions. Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family. Rest In Peace, Jane."

Shocking video shows ‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant crushed in heart-stopping stunt that goes awry

Video captured the moment daredevil stuntman Jonathan Goodwin was crushed between two vehicles that subsequently burst into flames during an "America's Got Talent: Extreme" stunt that went woefully wrong.

The stunt took place Thursday at Atlanta Motor Speedway during rehearsal for the show.

What are the details?

According to a Monday TMZ report, a straitjacketed Goodwin was suspended by his feet on a wire 70 feet in the air during the stunt.

Two cars were suspended on either side of the 41-year-old daredevil swinging back and forth.

The stunt was supposed to see Goodwin free himself and safely plummet to an air mattress 70 feet below the vehicles, but the stunt failed and instead saw the cars smash together, sandwiching Goodwin between them.

Production sources said that the impact caused the cars to burst into flame, and Goodwin fell to the ground — but missed the airbag — and struck his head.

"Our sources say Goodwin was unresponsive after the crash, and people on the set thought he was dead," the entertainment news website reported. "However, Goodwin was responsive when he was airlifted to a hospital and rushed into surgery."

Later on Monday, TMZ reported that Goodwin's injuries include "multiple broken bones in both of his legs, plus cuts all over his face and burns."

In a statement to the New York Post, a spokesperson for the show said, "He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital where he is continuing to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition."

Goodwin on Oct. 2 tweeted, "I'm in Atlanta rigging a new stunt which I'm super excited about! Cranes and cars and explosives oh my! What's everyone else up to?"
