Drag queen rallies militant leftists defending drag story time for kids at library: 'This is not lewd! We LGBT people, we're not inappropriate!'

Militant leftists far outnumbered people protesting a drag story time event for kids Saturday in front of the Fall River Public Library in Massachusetts — and a drag queen was on hand to rally the woke troops.

Miss Gloria was jazzed that so many fellow leftists came out "to show Nazis that they have no place in the 21st century!" The cheering crowd loved it.

Speaking in defense of the drag story time event, Miss Gloria added: "This is not lewd! We LGBT people, we're not inappropriate! ... We reject hate!"

Video journalist Brendan Gutenschwager captured the drag queen's speech and a number of other notable moments:

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@Brendan Gutenschwager) 1673716455

WJAR-TV spoke to Sean Connell — who plays Miss Gloria — and he told the station he believes there's a big difference between drag shows that take place at bars and the drag story time event.

"It's not recruitment. It's not grooming. It's love. It's stories," Connell told WJAR. "It's letting LGBT kids know that LGBT adults are here — we survive [and] they can survive and they can continue to be themselves."

Connell added to the station that despite the protests, the drag story time at the library will continue every month: "I think that the big message here is, 'Don't let hate and fear stop you from learning who you are and from being your authentic self.'"

What else happened?

At one point, a lone man holding a "no sex with children! Pervert!" sign stood in front of the leftist group supporting the drag event, one of whom waved an Antifa flag:

Here's the clip showing the man eventually being surrounded:

There was your obligatory "go home, Nazis!" chant:

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@Brendan Gutenschwager) 1673717697

A different lone man standing against the drag time story event faced off against leftists standing guard and wouldn't back down when one them took a couple of steps beyond the protection of his group and put on a tough-guy routine:

Here's the clip. (Content warning: language):

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@Brendan Gutenschwager) 1673719929

Anything else?

WJAR did get the perspective of one person protesting the drag time story event.

"I'm just completely against it, I want it to stop," Christine Doherty told the station. "Drag shows and drag queens are not appropriate for children. Nobody's homophobic on our side at all. Drag shows are fine for adults who want to go see them."

Judge in Kyle Rittenhouse case rules that men he fatally shot and wounded can't be called 'victims' — but defense can call them 'rioters' and 'looters'

The judge presiding over the Kyle Rittenhouse homicide trial ruled Monday that the prosecution can't refer two men he fatally shot — and another man he wounded — as "victims," the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.

What's more, the paper said, Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder added that Rittenhouse's attorneys can refer to the three shot men as "rioters" and "looters."

What are the details?

The decision on courtroom semantics stems from Schroeder's "standard rule," the Journal-Sentinel said, as he prohibits use of the term "victim" until someone is convicted of a crime, which hasn't happened yet.

Rittenhouse, 18, was charged with homicide and attempted homicide after he fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz in Kenosha, Wisconsin, NBC News said.

Rittenhouse — who was 17 on the night of the Aug. 25, 2020, shootings — is from Illinois and was in Kenosha to defend businesses from looting and arson amid rioting over the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, by a white police officer. Rittenhouse pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and said he acted in self-defense.

"I feel I had to protect myself," Rittenhouse said last fall during an interview from a juvenile detention center. "I would have died that night if I didn't."

Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger wanted Rittenhouse's lawyers barred from calling the Rosenbaum, Huber, and Grosskreutz "looters, rioters, arsonists or any other pejorative term," the Journal-Sentinel said.

More from the paper:

While looting, rioting and arson occurred in the two nights before the shooting, Binger argued that unless there's specific proof Rosenbaum, Huber and Grosskreutz were engaged in any of those actions, and that Rittenhouse had seen it, the labels are even more "loaded" than what judge ascribes to "victim."

Schroeder was not swayed. "Let the evidence show what it shows," he said, and declined to prohibit the defense from using the state's unwanted terms.

Not surprisingly, CNN talking heads were decidedly unhappy with the judge's ruling:

Judge says men Kyle Rittenhouse killed shouldn't be called 'victims'youtu.be

What the left will likely ignore

As TheBlaze reported last year, video recorded on the night of the shootings allegedly caught Rosenbaum antagonizing a gun-carrying group in town to defend property, glaring at them, and daring them to "shoot me!"

He even uttered the N-word as black people were feet away. (Content warning: Language, racial slurs):

— Julio Rosas (@Julio_Rosas11) 1598415475.0

In addition, video allegedly shows Rosenbaum — who apparently removed his red T-shirt to use as a head covering — chasing after a male armed with a rifle. Rosenbaum then allegedly throws a bag of tools at the guy with the gun and then lunges at him, after which the individual with the gun opens fire.

Rosenbaum was then seen in a graphic clip of the shooting aftermath dying in the street and wearing the same capri-length jeans, white sneakers with white socks, and tan belt as he's wearing in the video of him confronting militia members.

Anything else?

NBC News reported that Grosskreutz — who has not been charged with a crime — sued the city, the county, and law enforcement this month for enabling a "band of white nationalist vigilantes" amid unrest following Blake's shooting.

While a spokesperson representing Kenosha and its police department declined to comment, the network said that an attorney representing Kenosha County and the sheriff called Grosskreutz's allegations false.

"The lawsuit also fails to acknowledge that Mr. Grosskreutz was himself armed with a firearm when he was shot, and Mr. Grosskreutz failed to file the lawsuit against the person who actually shot him," attorney Sam Hall said, according to NBC News.

Indeed, Grosskreutz allegedly told a friend that he regretted "not killing the kid" who shot him at close range — and tore off a chunk of his arm — and "emptying the entire mag."

Here's a clip showing both Huber and Grosskreutz getting shot shortly after Rosenbaum was shot. (Content warning: Language):

'Afghan Lives Matter!': Protesters chant outside United Nations — and some wonder why Black Lives Matter backers aren't seething over slogan 'appropriation'

Hundreds of people waving Afghanistan flags protested Sunday outside the United Nations in New York City just as Taliban fighters plowed through the nation and took over the capital of Kabul, Yahoo News reported via Storyful.

'Afghan Lives Matter!'

One of the phrases protesters chanted was "Free, free Afghanistan!":

Smoke devices set off as protesters mobilize outside the U.N. now, preparing to march here in New York #Afghanistan https://t.co/GByvIBOl9L

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@BGOnTheScene) 1629054007.0

But another chant that seemed to draw far less media attention — and that certainly ought to rankle the sensitivities of at least a few leftists within earshot — was "Afghan Lives Matter!"

Check it out:

“Afghan Lives Matter” chants from the crowd outside the United Nations #Afghanistan https://t.co/ZFoFlairRZ

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@BGOnTheScene) 1629053094.0

Readers of TheBlaze no doubt know that supporters of BLM typically go a little crazy whenever anyone changes the "Black Lives Matter" phrase by saying "All Lives Matter" or "Blue Lives Matter" or some other alteration of the original.

In fact, a college football coach lost his job last season after taking down a Black Lives Matter sign that had been taped to his office door and replacing it with a sign reading "All Lives Matter to Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ."

How did folks react?

Inquiring minds are wondering how leftists handled the "Afghan Lives Matter!" chants. Indeed, was there a huge pushback on social media?

Well, it appears there's not too much of a groundswell at present pushing back against the chant. Could it be that cognitive dissonance is taking root with the left and not letting go? Or maybe some groups are allowed to alter the phrase and others aren't?

Either way, it seems clear that plenty of folks are having fun with the relative ease with which the protesters got the "Afghan Lives Matter!' with no apparent repercussions:

  • "This is racist towards BLM!" one commenter hollered, tongue firmly ensconced in cheek.
  • "This is cultural appropriation. Someone let the BLM folks know. This is not acceptable," another user said with self-proclaimed sarcasm.
  • "I thought no lives mattered until Black Lives Matter?" another wisenheimer quipped.
  • "Oh. ALM. Do their leaders have homes in Beverly Hills?" another commenter asked, nearly nailing a comical point directed at Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors who reportedly bought four homes for $3.2 million — including a $1.4 million property in overwhelmingly white Topanga Canyon, California.
  • "I thought no one is allowed to steal the Black Lives Matter slogan," another user pointed out.
  • "Where are the people beating them down because 'No lives matter until black lives matter'?" another commenter asked.
  • "Pretty sure the left-wing media will call that hate speech because it's taking away from BLM [which] has been silent after stealing millions in donations, burning down and looting cities and killing people," another user observed.

Los Angeles Police Department officers and Antifa militants engaged in violent clashes on Saturday during protests sparked by the incident where a biological man, who identified as a female, was reportedly naked at a California spa in front of women and young girls in late June. There were dueling demonstrations outside the Wi Spa in Los Angeles, which escalated when police attempted to separate a protest by Antifa and transgender activists from a counter-protest by religious demonstrators, conservatives, and feminist activists.

Independent journalist Brendan Gutenschwager covered the protests and the ensuing violence, and posted video of the confrontations, which became violent at times.

Fiery protests erupt in Minneapolis for third night after man was killed in police shooting: 'Time for the police to get killed'

For the third straight night, protests erupted in Minneapolis as demonstrators reacted to the shooting death of a man by law enforcement that happened on Thursday afternoon.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force attempted to arrest Winston Boogie Smith, who was wanted on a state arrest warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm. When law enforcement tried to take Smith into custody on the top level of a parking ramp in the Uptown neighborhood, he allegedly "produced a handgun" and fired shots from inside his vehicle at the officers, according to officials. U.S. Marshals returned fire and struck Smith, 32, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A 27-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment of glass injuries sustained during the shooting and released.

"Evidence at the scene indicates that the man fired his weapon from inside the vehicle. BCA crime scene personnel recovered a handgun as well as spent cartridge cases from inside the driver's compartment," the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in a statement.

There is no footage of the fatal shooting because the U.S Marshal Service does not allow the use of body cameras for officers serving on its North Star Fugitive Task Force.

Smith was wanted in neighboring Ramsey County for failing to appear for a sentencing hearing scheduled for May 19 after he pleaded guilty to felony firearm possession, court records show.

Smith was convicted of felony aggravated robbery in 2017 and was on probation, which meant he was prohibited from possessing a firearm. "If he had been nabbed with a firearm by cops Thursday, he could have sent back to prison," according to the New York Post.

Following George Floyd's death, Smith allegedly made life-threatening posts towards police and called for a "war" against law enforcement.

"We got guns and bullet proof vest too or should be able to get em… why not just rush these f***s and start this war they keep asking for!" Smith reportedly wrote on Facebook.

"F*** justice anyway b**** justice is an eye for eye u kill one of mine we need one of yours that's justice! Right or wrong f*** being right cuz they keep doing us wrong," he allegedly posted on social media. "I'm down with the burn everything government not touch s*** else I don't even need to loot I'll buy my s*** just kill them dirty ass cops off we tired of being scared at the red light!"

Protesters took to the streets on Thursday night to demand "justice" in the shooting death of Winston Boogie Smith. Protesters barricaded streets and set fires. The demonstrations escalated at times on Thursday night with storefront glass being destroyed, and there was looting at a T-Mobile store and CVS pharmacy.

'Don't you dare start this s**t!': Lone man furiously stands up to mob of left-wing militants gathered in front of police in Brooklyn Center

A lone man was caught on video furiously confronting a large group of left-wing militants gathered in front of police Wednesday night in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where protests and riots have ensued nightly since the police-involved fatal shooting of Daunte Wright over the weekend.

What are the details?

Independent journalist Brendan Gutenschwager posted the clip on Twitter and said the man "briefly tried taming the line of umbrellas" and stood "between them and police" and was "discouraging agitation" of officers.

It isn't clear who the man is or exactly why he's angry at the militants, but leftist protesters toting their umbrellas to hide their identities have long inflicted violence upon others in the streets and damaged and destroyed property.

"Don't you dare start this s**t!" he yelled at the group, grabbing one of the umbrellas and pointing his finger through the opening. "Not here tonight! Not here tonight!"

At one point the man's body shook as he clenched his fists and jumped in place while screaming at the mob:

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @BGOnTheScene

One of the militants hollered back at the man that "they're the ones that are starting that s**t!" presumably in reference to police. Another militant who sounded like a female yelled at the man, "Yo! Get the f*** outta here!"

Another militant questioned why the group should be "peaceful" and then screamed at police, "There's no such thing as f***ing peaceful! You f***ing killed from the beginning, bro! F*** you!"

The man began trying to engage the latter militant when the clip ended.

How did folks react?

Some commenters reacting to the clip didn't like the man's stance ("a false preacher preaching lies"), while others expressed support for his actions and contempt for the militants:

  • "That guy is brave as s**t," one commenter noted.
  • "White Antifa [millennials] can't stand a black man talking back," one user declared.
  • "Brooklyn Center population 30K plus. Where's the other 29,999 to stand with this man," another commenter wrote. "I believe you have these idiots outnumbered folks!"
  • "Bless that man trying to defuse all of those angry protesters from the police," another user said. "Wished they would listen to him."
  • "Can't help but notice the white voices screaming at him," another commenter observed. "I think for some it's a sport, sadly, which is not what it should be about."
  • "Telling a black man 'Yo, get the f*** out of here' for those that are there in support of Black Lives Matter," another user noticed. "What a world we live in."
  • "After the dust has settled, these Antifa clowns will be back in Seattle or Portland, [and] this man will be in Minneapolis cleaning up the mess these pricks left," another user opined. "All for the sake of racial justice."

Antifa 'security' attacks video journalist, steals camera during anti-eviction march in Detroit

A video journalist was terrorized and physically assaulted by Antifa supporters because he was documenting an "anti-eviction march" in Detroit.

Brandon Gutenschwager is an independent reporter who has developed a massive following on Twitter for his thorough coverage of protests and riots across the country — from Seattle to Washington, D.C., to Portland. Gutenschwager, who goes by @BGOnTheScene on Twitter, has had his on-the-ground footage featured on cable news programs.

On Saturday afternoon, Gutenschwager was in Detroit covering an anti-eviction march, which included Black Lives Matter supporters and reported Antifa members.

"Just got assaulted attempting to cover an anti-eviction march in Detroit this afternoon," Gutenschwager wrote on Twitter, and included a video of the attack. "A member of the protest 'security' ran up, grabbed my camera and forced me against a building."

Gutenschwager pointed out that the man who assaulted him was wearing an Antifa pin on his flannel shirt.

"A man wearing an Antifa pin committed the first assault during the march," the photojournalist said. "Camera stopped a few times while he attempted to steal it. Eventually, others in the group urged him aside to release me from against the building."

Another man at the march in the Greektown district of Detroit, who was wearing a "PRESS" patch, screamed at Gutenschwager, "You're not f***ing welcome here!" Gutenschwager said the man "accosts me and tries to force me to leave."

Because Gutenschwager was harassed, he was only able to capture very little of the actual anti-eviction march, but one video shows the crowd chanting, "Black homes are under attack, tell me what do we do, rise up fight back!"

While walking alongside the march that had Black Lives Matter flags, a man blindsided Gutenschwager and smashed him into the wall. Gutenschwager suffered injuries from the attack and was bleeding.

"Wow! I was just straight-up assaulted on the streets of Detroit," he said on camera. "Straight-up assaulted!"

"A man rammed me against a concrete fence and barricade, bloodying my mouth and elbow as well as putting me in a chokehold while stealing my camera," Gutenschwager tweeted. "That was then thrown over a fence, which I eventually was able to retrieve and continue recording."

At this point, Gutenschwager decided to leave the event for his own safety.

VIDEO: Leftist thug punches man after cornering him on DC street — then it's an Antifa gang-up special before victim escapes with bleeding head

Things were tense on election night in Washington, D.C., with the usual leftist suspects decked out in Antifa garb and trying to cause as much unrest and trouble as possible.

But one scene in particular has been attracting a fair amount of attention on social media — and it apparently started with a question of some sort.

What are the details?

Cellphone video captured a large crowd of leftists filling a street and most of a sidewalk at Black Lives Matter Plaza when a bearded man wearing a white shirt and dark jacket tried to pass by — but a hooded individual pressed up to the man and wouldn't let him pass.

It isn't clear what — if anything — the leftist asked, but the smiling, bearded man appeared simply to want to proceed down the sidewalk with as little trouble as possible — so he seemed to nod and say something that ended with "lives matter."

With that, the leftist fired a lightning-fast punch to the man's face — and then it was on. More punches were thrown:

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @bgonthescene

The victim tried going after his attacker, but one of the leftist's comrades descended upon and briefly wrestled with the victim — yet the bearded man still managed to land a couple of punches upon his second opponent.

But soon several other leftists ganged up on the victim — including one who appeared to hit him with what appeared to be a bat, and upon impact it seemed to resonate with a metallic "plink."

Somehow the victim got up and quickly walked away.

Daily Caller reporters say authorities forcibly detained, kicked, repeatedly hit them with clubs during Wisconsin riots

Two reporters for the Daily Caller say authorities detained them and hit them repeatedly as they covered demonstrations Thursday in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Demonstrations and riots erupted Thursday night in Wauwatosa after authorities announced that the police officer who fatally shot 17-year-old Alvin Cole would not face charges.

Investigators have said that Cole was running from police after reportedly firing a stolen handgun when police fired on the teen.

What are the details?

According to a Friday morning report from the outlet, reporters Shelby Talcott and Richie McGinniss said officers detained them even after they identified themselves as members of the press.

On Twitter, Talcott wrote, "@RichieMcGinniss and I just got detained/almost arrested. Officers kicked me and hit me with a billy club and repeatedly hit Richie with a club (we were not resisting). Luckily, an officer came while we were waiting in the police van and recognized that we were press."

Following the alleged detainment, Talcott said that officers let her and McGinniss go.

"Richie had his press credentials visible before he was taken down," Talcott said. "I was sitting in the car (outside of the area where protesters were being arrested) waiting for Richie (who was filming)."

The two were covering the demonstrations along with Campus Reform senior campus correspondent Blair Nelson and independent reporter Brendan Gutenschwager.

Talcott alleged that authorities demanded McGinniss and Nelson leave the area and said that the two reporters complied with the order.

"Several officers then chased the boys down right as they reached our car & forced the rest of us out of the vehicle before making arrests," Talcott wrote in a now-viral Twitter thread. "Richie captured audio of the incident."

Talcott also shared photos of herself and McGinniss with what she said were injuries sustained in the detainment.

She captioned the snap, "We'll have some nice cuts and bruises in the coming days[.]"

McGinniss also shared video of the incident on Twitter, saying, "Video of @ShelbyTalcott and my detainment. As I was recording arrests, one officer told me to (quickly) clear the area. Upon arriving to the car, I was forcibly detained (with press cred in hand) and as you can hear in the video, I tried my best to comply with police orders."

Late Thursday evening, Talcott concluded, "Last thing I'll note for some comments I've seen from Louisville and this: freedom of the press is important and allows reporters to be out past curfew, etc to report the news and get the truth out there. It's a dangerous thing if that right goes away."

In the early hours of Friday morning, Talcott shared a video taken by Caroline Reinwald of WISN-TV.

Talcott captioned the video, ".@WISN_Caroline captured part of our detainment (picks up sort of after @RichieMcGinniss's video, it seems). The person being tossed from the passenger side is [Brendan Gutenschwager], who is still — to my knowledge — in jail."

Gutenschwager on Friday morning tweeted, "Tonight I was brutalized by police in Wisconsin. This is me being dragged out of a vehicle and slammed to the pavement. Pleaded with officers that I am here as press, never even given a chance to cooperate before they escalated to this. I am in shock."

Nelson also tweeted, "Hey everybody, I'm out of jail, only in there for three hours. I was arrested for filming with @BGOnTheScene@ShelbyTalcott@RichieMcGinniss. Still don't have my phone, hopefully, will get it soon."

VIDEO: White leftist militants actually block black woman from driving through Portland street. It gets ugly fast.

If you were wondering how blindly radical the leftist militants are who've been wreaking havoc and mayhem in Portland for the past three months, a confrontation with a black woman motorist Monday night just may answer that for you.

What are the details?

In a video, a group of white people defiantly stand in front of a truck and won't let it pass. We've seen this petty stuff many times before. The difference here is that the motorist they're blocking is a black woman.

At best one might say such an astonishing show of force demonstrates how seriously they take their cause, as the core of it supposedly is standing up for black people they say are oppressed by police — and yet they refuse to let someone they say they're fighting for drive down a street.

'That's violent!'

As you can probably guess, the driver isn't happy.

"Get out of the way!" she hollers at them from the driver's seat. "Because you killed my brother, move!" The clip doesn't shed light on the latter claim, but it sure demonstrates her adversaries' collective ignorance.

Defiant voices shoot right back at her. "You're gonna go backward!" one barks. "Turn around!" another yells.

She blasts them again: 'You're setting fires in the streets? No, that's violence! That's violent! Get out of my way!"

"I think you don't know what you're talking about!" a male voice can be heard arguing back with her.

Soon the woman dares the the militants to do damage to neighboring communities like they've done to Portland. "Get your ass away from here!" she yells at them, adding "now they see how ignorant this looks ... you don't want no race war out here!"

A black man who's with the leftists moves in and appears to try to calm the situation as the woman driver accuses someone in the group of calling her the N-word — which they deny.

"Stop pushing us with your car!" one male hollers at her as they place their bodies in front of the truck's bumper.

'You'd be rammed the f*** over!'

The furious woman then exits her truck and gives the ignorant leftists a wake up call: "If I was pushing you with my car, you'd be rammed the f*** over!"

At this point, the black man who's with the leftists orders his comrades to shut up and move: "We need to get this woman out of here safely!"

Here's the clip. (Content warning: Language, racial slurs):

A follow-up clip shows that the crowd eventually parted and let the woman drive through. "Make a hole!" they repeatedly yell, as the woman slowly drives through and a couple of leftists escort her away.

Black Lives Matter, eh?

Some observers took note of the scene's pitiful irony:

  • "A group of privileged white people are physically preventing a black woman from driving through, to protest the fact that everyone else is figuratively oppressing her," one commenter wrote. "I honestly cannot think of a better representation of the Left."
  • "White people literally preventing a black woman from legally driving on a street," another commenter said. "You cannot make this stuff up."
  • "Portland, a tragically boring, dreary city of wealthy white folks on the West Coast, displays a moment of stunning confusion in their never ending struggle to be hip," another observer quips. "Better go back and study the PowerPoint to clarify things."
