Cali residents FLEEING hellhole as San Francisco now leads the US in PLUMMETING home values

There's no question that the West Coast is home to some of the most beautiful places in the country and perhaps even the world.

However, it’s also home to the failed state of California, specifically the city of San Francisco — which is now overrun by the homeless and has streets covered in feces and drug needles.

According to Lauren Chen, it’s also home to “sky-high property prices, excessive taxes and regulations, the state actively trying to trans your kids behind your back,” and “rolling blackouts, looting.”

“All of the above mentioned are very real problems that the people living in these cities and in these states have to deal with on a daily basis,” Chen adds.

Because of these issues, Californians who can afford to leave are fleeing in masses. However, many people deserting the state won’t get back the top dollar they paid to live there.

A recent article from Newsmax reports that San Francisco is now topping the U.S. in plunging home values.

The article states: “About one in eight (12.3%) homes that sold in San Francisco during the three months ending July 31 was purchased for less than the seller paid for it, up from 5% a year earlier. That’s a higher share than any other major U.S. metro and is quadruple the national rate (3%).”

Chen believes this data is concerning because “it means number one: a lot of people who invested in the real estate market in San Francisco, in New York, they’re going to be taking major losses. Number two: we also have to keep in mind that this decline in prices isn’t because of something like increased housing opportunity.”

Rather, it’s “because people are actually packing up and just leaving the city, leaving these states.”

While Chen believes the issues that are causing people to leave are a direct result of who they voted for, she hopes that they’re capable of realizing that themselves.

“You’re not liking the crime, you’re not liking how it’s getting harder and harder to run a business. I don’t see how you can simultaneously still be liberal, still be Democrat, because guess what, there’s no one else that you have to blame in those situations than the Democrats.”

California's population shrank for the second year in a row, experts say it marks an 'economic kind of stagnation'

California’s population has shrunk for the second year in a row.

The country’s most populous state declined in population once again in 2021, marking the second consecutive year it lost more residents than it gained. SFGATE.com reported that California’s declining population is a result of fewer births and recorded immigrants coupled with an increase in deaths and a drastically increased number of people seeking to leave the state.

California is still by far the country’s most populous state, with an estimated 39,185,605 residents. This number does not count the illegal immigrants currently residing in the state. The second most populous state is Texas, with 29.5 million residents.

Reportedly, even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, California’s growth had been slowing due to members of older generations passing away, younger generations choosing to have fewer children, and middle-class Californians fleeing the state for economic reasons. Until recently, the state was recording more births than deaths and had a “robust international immigration” program that enabled California to withstand losing a couple thousand residents each year.

However, once COVID-19 struck in 2020, California’s population fell for the first time in years, as tens of thousands of people died in a category demographers refer to as “excess deaths,” fewer people migrated to the state from abroad, and thousands of people fled the state to avoid skyrocketing costs of living and increasingly dangerous living conditions.

In 2021, California gained 43,300 residents from other countries. Prior to 2020, the state imported an annual average of 140,000 residents.

Reportedly, about 280,000 more people left California to live in other states than moved there in 2021.

California’s chief demographer, Walter Schwarm, said, “It takes awhile for the machinery of government and others to get back to normal. I think we will be looking at positive growth when we talk about the year 2022.”

The state’s population decline is already having significant impacts throughout the state. For instance, the 2020 census indicated that California’s population declined enough for the state to lose a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

All but three of California’s coastal counties decreased in population in 2021. The iconic Southern California Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties were not immune to this decrease. However, most of the state’s inland counties saw steady population growth this past year.

“The migration is a manifestation of a lot of the problems that people face,” Wayne Winegarden, a senior fellow with the Pacific Research Institute, said. “It represents an economic kind of stagnation.”
