'How is this any different from "whites only"?' Sara Gonzales confronts organizer of Muslim-only water park event

Earlier this week, BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales blasted a Muslim-only event for taking over a water park in Grand Prairie, Texas — and Governor Greg Abbott (R) swiftly threatened to pull funding from the city and shut it down.

What initially caught Gonzales’ eye was the event flyer, which said “Muslims only” twice. The flyer was later updated to say “modest dress only” once it became a topic of controversy.

“I want to just set the record straight, because I know there’s been a lot of confusion. You did have the ‘Muslims only’ on the original flyer, and then you changed it and updated it on the site to read ‘modest dress only,' correct?" Gonzales asks the organizer of the event, Dr. Aminah Knight.

“Absolutely, absolutely,” Knight responds.

Knight explains that in years past, the flyer has only been circulated privately and never caused any issues until now.

“A few days ago, the New York Post contacted me, and they said, ‘Hey, did you know that your flyer in this event is going viral?’ And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’” Knight tells Gonzales.

“And then my husband also let me know, ‘Hey, there’s this guy who, he’s kind of historic for having Islamaphobic rhetoric, to be honest. He got ahold of the flyer, and he is saying, "Oh my gosh, the Muslims are doing this event. They’re trying to exclude people" and X, Y, and Z,'" she continues.

“And so I quickly changed the flyer,” she adds.

“It does read like you were trying to exclude non-Muslims, and I just wonder, you know, I know that you feel like you were wronged in this, but I just wonder if you feel like it would be fair for, say, a private group to rent out a publicly funded water park and put on, you know, their posters, ‘This is for whites only,’” Gonzales argues.

Knight responds that unlike white people, marginalized groups like the black and Muslim communities “oftentimes need to take a moment to gather, fortify each other and then go back out into the world.”

She also tells Gonzales that at the heart of the event are young Muslim girls, whom she wants to inspire to dress modestly in a society where the “standard of beauty that they see around them has to do with how sexy they are and how much of their skin they can show.”

“My question actually was how is this any different than … a whites-only, you know, KKK party at a publicly funded water park?” Gonzales says, pointing out that there are discrimination laws under which you cannot have private events that exclude people based on religion.

“So how do you think that that’s OK?” she asks.

“Muslims uphold a modest dress code, and we’re celebrating our EID events. … I didn’t think anything was wrong with that,” Knight responds, later telling Gonzales that she did not expect Gonzales to “be so aggressive.”

“By asking if it would be OK if we could do a whites-only event as well and how that was different?” Gonzales asks.

“It’s just your tone,” Knight says.

Illegal-alien patients drain Texas hospitals, racking up billion-dollar bill — in less than a year

Unsurprisingly Texas bears a disproportionate share of the burden from illegal immigration due to its expansive southern border. Now state leadership has released the numbers to prove the massive financial burden illegal aliens have had on one sector in particular: hospitals.

New data has been released by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission showing a baffling 10-figure financial burden on Texas hospitals in fiscal year 2025, Texas Scorecard first reported.

The total cost tipped over the billion-dollar mark: $1,050,642,864.

According to the new data, the total visits between November 2024 and August 2025 reached 313,742 for those "not legally present."

And the total cost tipped over the billion-dollar mark: $1,050,642,864.

The year-end totals show that the burden is not only on one type of care either.

A large portion of the visits come from the "Emergency Department - Non-Medicaid/Non-CHIP" category, though the lion's share of the cost comes from the "Inpatient Discharges - Non-Medicaid/Non-CHIP" category, meaning that the hospital system is being burdened by illegal aliens seeking both emergency and long-term care.

This data was collected and released pursuant to an executive order signed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) in August 2024. The order directed hospitals to begin collecting data on illegal alien patients in Texas hospitals beginning in November 2024.

As Texas Scorecard noted, these numbers are therefore not reflective of the full fiscal year, and the actual totals very likely exceed these figures.

Abbott argued in the executive order that Texans ultimately bear the burden of public financial support through higher taxes and more expensive medical care as well.

Texas congresswoman faces BACKLASH for mocking governor's wheelchair

At a Human Rights Campaign dinner, Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett decided it would be a great idea to mock Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s use of a wheelchair by calling him “Governor Hot Wheels.”

“We in these hot-a** Texas streets, honey,” Crockett began. “Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, come on now. And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-a** mess, honey.”

Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” is shocked that Crockett would publicly stoop that low — though she’s well aware that it’s all an act.

“I mean, yes, it is an act, because there are videos of her speaking normally and not adding in ebonics and speaking ghetto and talking like a hood rat,” Gonzales says.

“It is an act, and it’s so rich coming from the left,” she continues. “You’re not allowed to joke about anything; comedy is dead. You can’t make fun of anyone for their disability, their race, you can’t lean into stereotypes because that’s mean.”

“And then you have Jasmine Crockett, who is in a position that used to be prestigious; it’s not any more,” she says. “I mean, is this the most offensive thing that she’s said? I don’t know because there have been many times during hearings in Congress, at the Capitol, where she has just belittled the position that she holds.”

“Like really, that’s how little you think of your constituents,” she adds.
