Vandalized pregnancy center slams FBI for lack of arrests, hires private investigators: Justice is 'blind only in one direction'

A network of pro-life pregnancy centers in New York that were attacked by pro-abortion terrorist group Jane's Revenge blasted the FBI for failing to make arrests. Fed up with the agency's fruitless investigation effort, the clinic hired private investigators to look into the attacks, Fox News Digital reported.

CompassCare, a pro-life health clinic with multiple locations in upstate New York, announced last week that it would partner with the Thomas More Society, a nonprofit law firm, to recruit private investigators to look into a firebomb attack against a Buffalo center that occurred in June.

Pro-abortion vandals, believed to be connected to Jane's Revenge, shattered the clinic's windows and set fires inside the building. Outside the center, the criminals also spray-painted "Jane was here."

The vandals responsible for the destruction have not been apprehended.

CompassCare CEO Jim Harden told Fox News Digital that he is skeptical that the FBI is motivated to solve the case.

"It's hard to know whether the FBI agents are being sincere when they say, 'I'm a Catholic, and I really want to see these criminals brought to justice,'" Harden stated. "It only happened after they got tremendous pressure from the media and from politicians, senators and congressmen included."

Harden stated that he believes the agency may be deliberately devoting resources elsewhere.

"What it appears to us is that they have made decisions about how they're allocating investigative resources, and they have chosen not to allocate," Harden added. "You've got 78 bona fide violations of the FACE Act on pro-life organizations specifically targeting them. We know they're hate crimes. They fit that definition. Where's the manhunt?"

According to Harden, the evidence suggests that the repeated attacks on pro-abortion centers might be an organized effort with ties to global anarchist and transgender movements.

"It does look like that this is not just a grassroots pro-abortion movement," he said. "It seems to be much more organized."

"My speculation is that if they make an arrest, they'll be able to draw a straight line between the pro-abortion terrorist group Jane's Revenge and government bad actors, including federal law enforcement, the DOJ, and pro-abortion politicians in charge of the Democratic Party," Harden said.

"There's some very, very disconcerting things that are going on, and the fact that the FBI has not made any arrests is only shame on them," Harden added.

Tom Brejcha, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society, told Fox News Digital that the investigation includes 78 attacks against pro-life clinics.

"Along with CompassCare and others, we're looking to investigate connections here," Brejcha said. "We have security video of attackers. We have license plates. We're pursuing the kind of investigation that lawyers pursue when they're looking to achieve justice on behalf of their clients, civil and criminal. So we're not sitting on our hands just writing letters to the editor about it."

Brejcha noted that the FBI has monitored the situation and "been responsive" but has failed to take action.

According to Brejcha, the Buffalo clinic had to take legal action against to FBI to get back surveillance footage from the attack that was turned over to authorities.

"I think the fact that they appointed pro-abortion zealots to head up the special unit within the Department of Justice means that their focus and their energies are in that direction," Brejcha said.

"And justice is blind here in a different sense: It's blind only in one direction. In the other direction, it's actively working to perpetrate injustice against the pro-life movement, to intimidate and shut them down. I think that's pretty clear," he continued.

The FBI told Fox News Digital that the agency is still investigating the attacks against the pro-life pregnancy centers.

"The FBI continues to investigate a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics across the country, as well as to judicial buildings, including the U.S. Supreme Court," the FBI stated.

"In general, FBI field offices conduct all logical investigative steps during the course of the investigation which can include offering a reward for information. In this case, FBI Buffalo is seeking the public's help to identify the individuals responsible for the arson of the CompassCare Pregnancy Services Center and is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the arson," the agency added.

Insane video: NYC car chase escalates into demolition derby, ends in broad daylight gunpoint robbery

A viral video captured the moment of a crazy car chase in New York City on Saturday afternoon. The car chase escalated into a fender-bending demolition derby on a street on the Upper East Side. The insane situation ends with a gunpoint robbery in broad daylight.

A silver Toyota RAV4 is seen on video speeding away from a black Mercedes Benz around 4:40 p.m. on Saturday. The Mercedes races to the driver's side of the SUV despite an oncoming car driving down the street.

The Mercedes rams the driver's side of the RAV4 – which caused the SUV to lose control and slam into another car. The vehicles then burn rubber and continue the car chase down a sidewalk as pedestrians scramble to avoid being run over.

The Mercedes rams the RAV4 yet again – this time on the passenger's side. The RAV4 spins 180 degrees because of the car crash.

A man gets out of the Mercedes and begins using a gun to smash a window on the SUV.

A witness is heard on video screaming, "He's got a gun! He's got a gun!"

The gunman then runs to the driver's side and commits a gunpoint robbery. In the video, the armed man is seen running back to the Mercedes with a black bag. The Mercedes races off and the video ends.

"The guy was in shock he cannot say nothing," a witness told the New York Daily News. "He just standing in his place. At first when he see the gun… He get out and he put his hands up."

The New York Daily News reported that the car crash that ended in an armed robbery took place on Second Avenue, only a few blocks from Gracie Mansion – the official residence of the Mayor of New York City Eric Adams.

Police said the RAV4 driver is a 55-year-old man.

The Mercedes was reportedly found on E. 86th St. near Third Ave. A witness said three men fled from a black Mercedes Benz and sprinted to the Second Ave subway station.

Another witness said, "When we were in the store and saw there were guns involved, I told everyone to go to the back of the store. It all happened so quickly – maybe it took three minutes at most."

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is investigating the apparent crime.

According to NYPD crime statistics, robberies are up nearly 40% over the past year in New York City and grand larceny has spiked by 46%.

“This WILD robbery happened in NYC today apparently. Thank you @GovKathyHochul for making sure only the bad guys are armed and feel free to terrorize law abiding citizens
https://t.co/nSsYLERqyX”

Buffalo Bills fans facing felony charges for allegedly using fake vaccination cards to attend playoff game, posting about it on social media

A New York couple is facing felony charges after they allegedly used fake COVID-19 vaccination cards to attend a Buffalo Bills playoff game. Authorities said they were tipped off about the couple because the fans posted about getting into NFL games with fake vaccine cards.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn said in a press conference on Wednesday that a husband and wife gained access to Highmark Stadium on Jan. 15 using fake vaccine cards to watch the playoff game between the Bills and the New England Patriots.

Michael Naab, 34, and Amber Naab, 37, were enjoying the Bills roughing up the Patriots up until the third quarter when officers with the Erie County Sheriff's Office escorted the couple out of their seats to interrogate them about their COVID-19 vaccination cards.

Flynn revealed that the Buffalo Bills organization was already aware of the couple from West Seneca, New York, after an anonymous tip. The Naabs purportedly posted messages about unlawfully attending Bills' home games in the past by using fake vaccine cards.

"Allegedly there had been some social media activity in previous games and someone saw it on social media and called the Buffalo Bills or called the health department and made an anonymous tip that these two individuals were allegedly posting that they had been gotten into Bills games prior," Flynn said.

Flynn noted that the couple "probably" would have gotten away with using the fake vaccination cards if it wasn't for the social media posts.

The Buffalo Bills website states:

All guests ages 5-11 will be required to present proof of at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccination. All guests age 12 and older are required to provide proof of complete vaccination. People are considered fully vaccinated: 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's vaccine.

The football team emphasizes: "No exceptions will be made to the vaccine requirement."

The Bills have required proof of COVID-19 vaccination since September.

The Buffalo Bills reportedly told authorities that they wanted to prosecute the couple.

On Tuesday, the couple was arrested and charged with one count each of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a Class D felony. Both suspects pleaded not guilty, according to Kait Munro, a spokesperson for the DA's office.

If convicted, the charges carry a maximum of seven years in prison. However, Flynn said that prison sentence would "absolutely not" be on the table.

"I would readily admit, this is not the Kennedy assassination," Flynn said during the news conference. "I readily admit this is not the crime of the century."

"At the end of the day, I’m not going to jam them up," he continued. "But I can’t just let them go."

WIVB-TV reported, "Reached by phone Wednesday, Amber Naab had no comment. Her attorney, Peter Todaro, declined to comment as well. Sunil Bakshi, the lawyer representing Michael Naab, also declined to comment on his client’s behalf."

The Naabs are scheduled to return to court on Feb. 22 for a hearing.

The New York State Health Department thanked Erie County and the Bills.

"NYSDOH thanks Erie County and the @BuffaloBills for working with us to help stop the use of fake vaccination cards during a recent Buffalo Bills game, following the passage of @GovKathyHochul’s #TruthInVaccination legislation," the official Twitter account for the New York health agency tweeted.

New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul signed legislation on Dec. 22 that made the use of fake COVID-19 vaccination cards a crime.

Legislation (S.4516-C/A.7536-B) adds clarification that a COVID Vaccination Card shall be considered a written instrument for purposes of the forgery statute which makes the falsification of COVID-19 Vaccination Cards a class D felony. It also creates a new E felony of computer tampering in the third degree for intentional entering, alteration or destruction of "computer material" regarding COVID-19 vaccine provisions. Individuals who misrepresent their vaccination history, not only jeopardize their own health, but the health of all those they come into contact with. This legislation ensures that as New York opens up and many businesses choose to rely on checking vaccination status, the falsification of vaccination records will not be tolerated.

New York will not force counties to comply with sweeping mask mandate, says governor

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) on Monday said that the state government will not force counties to comply with the sweeping new mask mandate that went into effect today.

"We have left this to the counties to enforce. We hope that counties will enforce it," Hochul told reporters.

"We expect that they will, we hope that they will, it's in the best interest of public health. But it also comes down to individual businesses doing the right thing as well. We're asking businesses to protect their customers and to protect their employees," she added.

“We have left it to the counties to enforce, so counties can choose not to enforce. But we hope counties are enforcing,” @GovKathyHochul says about the mask mandate
— Morgan Mckay (@Morgan Mckay) 1639415714

Beginning on Dec. 13 and lasting through at least Jan. 15, masks are required in all public indoor places in New York for everyone over the age of 2 unless full vaccination is mandated in those places. That means stores, restaurants, offices, residential building lobbies, and other indoor venues must either require people to be fully vaccinated to enter or force them to wear masks.

For now, individuals are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second shot of the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or the first shot of the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. However, the definition of fully vaccinated will soon change to include booster shots, according to White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The mask mandate was announced by Hochul last week in response to rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the state. State officials will re-examine coronavirus conditions on Jan. 15 to determine whether to extend or end the mandate.

Any businesses that violate any provision of the mandate are subject to civil and criminal penalties, including a maximum fine of $1,000 for each violation. Local health departments are being asked to enforce these requirements.

But some Republican county executives say they will not enforce the mandate. Rockland County Executive Ed Day (R) said Friday that the governor's office did not provide detailed information about the new masking requirements.

"I told the Governor’s staff that we cannot and will not enforce this requirement as it currently stands. How do you enforce something that’s based on a press release that does not contain adequate information and explanation?" Day said.

"I cannot and will not in good conscience redirect our Health Department to change their focus from the vaccination effort which entailed six clinics over the last two weeks that administered 141 vaccine doses and 1,244 booster doses. Especially with the 5–11-year-old cohort needing vaccinations and the 16–17-year-old cohort having just been approved to receive boosters," Day added. "That would be utterly reckless."

County officials in at least four other counties will not enforce the mandate either, including Livingston, Madison, Niagara, and Rensselaer counties.

“Governor Hochul derided the use of these types of measures just days ago,” David LeFeber, chairman of the Livingston County Board of Supervisors, said in a statement. “Now, we are back to Cuomo-era approaches. That is an unfortunate, and swift, switch of position by the Governor."

Nassau County Executive-elect Bruce Blakeman called the mandate a "shotgun approach."

"Over 97% of Nassau County adults have been vaccinated with at least their first dose and our outstanding health care facilities are not even close to capacity. While we continue to monitor this health care concern it is clear that Nassau County is not in crisis and State government should not paint us with the same broad brush as the rest of the State," Blakeman said. "I'm hopeful that the State will allow local determination rather than a shotgun approach."

Hochul defended the mandate as a "short-term, minor effort" to combat a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases, compared to the strict lockdowns that prevented New Yorkers from leaving their homes last year.

"I will never let that happen to this state, I will continue to encourage people to get vaccinated and get that booster shot and that is truly the best path forward," she said.

"This is a short-term measure to protect us during a change in circumstances, which is that the infections are going up. Hospitalizations are going up. ICU patients are going up. Bed capacity is going down. And the vaccinations, while they are good, they are not where they could be in terms of everyone from age 5-years-old and up and I want people to get boosters."

New York State has seen a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases since Thanksgiving, according to the New York Times. The daily case average on Sunday was 9,638 , a 66% increase over the last 14 days.

Hochul said that if the statewide infection rate were as low as it was during the summer when masking requirements were lifted, there would be no need for the new mandate.

"If we were still at that point, if people had gotten vaccinated and gotten the boosters and we were still at one percent, we would not be having this conversation."

New York Gov Kathy Hochul signs bill to require utilities to use customers' preferred name and pronouns

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has signed a bill that will require utility corporations, municipalities, water-works corporations, and telephone service providers to utilize each customer's desired name and pronouns in communications, a move that comes as the left continues to press for societal acceptance and accommodation of radical gender ideologies.

"Legislation S.5325/A.6193 gives utility customers the right to be addressed and acknowledged by their preferred name and pronouns by requiring utility corporations, municipalities, water-works corporations, and telephone service providers to allow customers to use their preferred name and pronouns," according to a press release.

"Nearly 80,000 New Yorkers identify as transgender. This #TransAwarenessWeek, I'm proud to sign the Affirming Gender Identity in Utilities Act — common-sense legislation that gives New Yorkers the right to be addressed and acknowledged by their chosen names and correct pronouns," Hochul tweeted.

One person who responded the tweet wrote, "We're drowning in this economy. What are you doing about that?"

"This is what you're concentrating on with all the issues in this state. Unreal how out of touch you are," another person declared.

Debate over the transgender movement continues to rage in the U.S., including over issues such as school bathrooms and sports, with many Americans rejecting the notion that biological boys should have the option to utilize female restrooms and compete athletically against girls.

Hochul made history earlier this year when she was sworn in as the Empire State's first female governor. She stepped into the governorship after Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned.

Following the release of a report that concluded he had sexually harassed multiple women, Cuomo faced intense pressure to step down, including from members of his own party. Cuomo said he "never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances."

New York Gov. Hochul announces requirement for kids ages 2 and above to wear masks at child care facilities

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced various mask requirements on Wednesday including that staff, visitors, and children ages 2 and older must wear face coverings at child care facilities.

"The requirement applies to New York State Office of Children and Family Services-licensed and -registered child care centers, home-based group family and family child care programs, after-school child care programs and enrolled legally exempt group programs during operational hours," according to a press release.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that individuals ages 2 and above who have not been fully vaccinated utilize masks in indoor public places. Currently in the U.S. there are no vaccines authorized for use in individuals younger than 12-years-old.

"New masking requirements will also apply to congregate programs and facilities licensed, registered, operated, certified or approved by the Office of Mental Health, the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Office of Children and Family Services and the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance. This includes but is not limited to certified residential and day programs, inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities, substance abuse programs, juvenile detention programs, juvenile residential facilities, congregate foster care programs, runaway and homeless youth, domestic violence and other shelter programs," the press release notes.

The mask mandates apply to individuals medically capable of using a mask, irrespective of their vaccination status.

Hochul became the Empire State's first female governor when she was sworn into office last month after Andrew Cuomo stepped down following a chorus of calls for his resignation after investigators concluded that he had sexually harassed multiple women. Cuomo said that he "never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances."

"With the Delta variant on the rise, requiring masks at state-regulated child care, mental health, and substance abuse facilities is a key part of our broader strategy for slowing the spread of the virus, reopening our economy safely, and protecting vulnerable members of our population," Hochul said, according to the press release. "For children under 12 who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated, masks are the best line of defense against COVID-19 infection. This new mask requirement ensures that children in our child care facilities receive the same protection as children in our schools."
