Democratic strategist begs Kamala Harris not to run again

Kamala Harris' first attempt to secure the White House was a colossal failure. While struggling to break out of the single digits in early state polls, Harris learned that a majority of Democrats in her home state of California wanted her to call it quits. She obliged them in December 2019. Years later, she supplanted the candidate who single-handedly salvaged her career only to suffer an even more humiliating defeat, burning through over $1.5 billion for the privilege of losing in the Electoral College by a landslide.

Apparently, the 60-year-old leftist thinks the next time might be different and has signaled an interest in trying again. On Tuesday, Democratic strategist Theryn Bond begged the vice president to throw in the towel on her presidential ambitions.

Last week, a Morning Consult survey indicated that 43% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents would now vote for Harris in a presidential primary of the kind effectively voided by the party earlier this year. A recent Echelon Insights snap poll indicated that 41% of respondents would vote for Harris in a Democratic primary held today.

'Please don't.'

Politico reported Monday that Harris, likely aware that a great many Democrats are willing to overlook her repeated failures, "has been instructing advisers and allies to keep her options open — whether for a possible 2028 presidential run, or even to run for governor in her home state of California in two years."

Harris has repeatedly told reporters, "I am staying in the fight."

Five individuals in the vice president's inner circle who spoke to Politico on the condition of anonymity suggested that Harris will think over her political options with family members over the Christmas season.

On Tuesday, within hours of Democrats releasing a bizarre and widely ridiculed video of Harris, Theryn Bond urged the vice president on Newsmax's "National Report" "not to run again in 2028. Please don't."

'If they're dumb enough to run her again, I can't wait.'

"I can't really speak for governor of California. Californians seem to support her significantly. We haven't yet been able to measure what that support looks like after this current run she just had," said Bond.

The Democratic strategist suggested that a gubernatorial bid might "make sense for her to consider, but another shot at the presidency — I hope she doesn't. And if she is relying on those same advisers that advised her this cycle, that's not who I would listen to."

Conservative political strategist Luke Ball largely agreed with Bond's assessment, noting that in California, Harris would have "high name ID, but if she ran anywhere else in the country, I don't think she'd be able to get elected to dog catcher."

Conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck noted, "Wow. This Echelon poll asked Democrats who they'd vote for in the 2028 Presidential primary and 41% said Kamala Harris. If they're dumb enough to run her again, I can't wait."

Conservative commentator Michael Knowles said that Harris, "who lost in a massive landslide, who allowed the Republican to win the popular vote for the first time in 20 years — the Republican who we had all been told was Hitler incarnate, who was running for an implausible nonconsecutive second term — that woman wants to run again in 2028? I strongly encourage this. I might donate to the Kamala primary campaign."

A Democratic strategist granted anonymity by Politico said, "I can't conceivably imagine the party turning to her a second time."

Speculation now abounds about the possibility that another failed Democratic presidential candidate might try her luck again in 2028.

After the the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Wednesday that Bill and Hillary Clinton will give speeches in Little Rock in December to help mark the Clinton Presidential Center's 20th anniversary, senior Trump adviser Jason Miller responded, "SHE'S RUNNING!"

"Just when I thought I couldn't be more thankful," tweeted Donald Trump Jr.

Elon Musk replied to the prospect of a third Clinton campaign with a laughing emoji.

NYC Mayor Adams slams Dems for focusing more on Hitler, fascism rhetoric over 'working-class people issues'

New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed his fellow Democrats for focusing too much of their campaign messaging on fascism fears rather than speaking to "working-class people issues."

In a Friday appearance on ABC News' "The View," Adams told the left-leaning panel that the Democratic Party lost the election because it failed to prioritize addressing issues that impact everyday Americans.

'What are we doing for everyday people in the country?'

"What you saw in this city and this election, when you saw a shift in the city and the state becoming redder, is because we stopped talking about working-class people issues," Adams stated. "What moms and pops are afraid, 'I can't pay my college tuition. The rent is too damn high. Health care is too expensive.' We stopped talking to everyday New Yorkers and Americans."

Adams explained that working-class Americans are far more concerned about affordability than fascism. He seemed to criticize Democrats for campaigning on comparing President-elect Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

"When I'm in the street talking to them, they're not asking me, 'Tell me about fascism,'" Adams claimed. "They're talking about finance. They're not talking about Hitler; they're talking about housing. We need to talk to everyday, working-class people, and we stopped doing that."

Co-host Joy Behar pushed back on Adams' comments, arguing that Democrats did address those issues.

"Part of the business of campaigning is getting your message out and being clear with your message," Adams replied. "Even the experts in their party were saying, 'Get back to the message.' What are we doing for everyday people in the country? And this same thing happened in 2022. When I got elected in 2022, I stated that, 'Listen, we need to be talking about crime in this country.' They ignored it. We lost the election. During 2023, I said we had to deal with this migrant-asylum issue. It was on the top one or two issues in the country. We ignored it. We have to go back and talk to those issues that people are worried about."

Since April 2022, more than 210,000 foreign nationals have arrived in New York City. The city's taxpayers have spent over $2.3 billion to provide accommodations for the migrants.

Adams announced last week that the city will stop supplying migrant arrivals with prepaid debit cards at the end of the year, Blaze News previously reported.

Eva Longoria reveals she is one of the few Harris boosters to actually ditch the US

Numerous wealthy celebrities — including geriatric singers Barbra Streisand and Cher and 66-year-old script-reader Sharon Stone — threatened in recent months that if Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election, then they would pull up their shallow roots and leave the United States.

Time will tell whether these liberals will honor their pledges now that President-elect Trump is assembling his Cabinet, having secured over 3 million more votes nationwide and 86 more Electoral College votes than Harris. There is, however, at least one Democrat who has actually jumped ship.

In a post-election interview with the French women's magazine Marie Claire, Texas native Eva Longoria indicated that she has moved her family out of the "dystopian" United States.

The 49-year-old "Desperate Housewives" star, once touted by the Washington Post as a "political power broker," now appears devoid of the enthusiasm that she previously exuded in her speech at the Democratic National Convention.

"The shocking part is not that he won," the multimillionaire told Marie Claire. "It's that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office."

It turns out that Longoria's personal efforts to turn out the Hispanic vote for Harris, as well as the efforts of the group she co-founded, the Latino Victory Fund, weren't enough this time around. CNN exit polls indicated that 46% of all Hispanics and 55% of Hispanic men voted for Trump.

'I'm privileged.'

"I would like to think our fight continues," she continued, adding that she does not know what the future holds for the country.

Longoria suggested that if Trump "keeps his promises, it's going to be a scary place."

According to Marie Claire, Longoria, her husband, and her son now divide their time between Spain and Mexico when not jet-setting around Europe and South America.

Despite supporting a California Democrat keen on raising taxes, the script-reader suggested that the fallout of leftist policies helped grease her way out of the United States.

"I had my whole adult life here," she said, referring to Los Angeles. "But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it's the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now."

Under Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, California's homeless population ballooned to over 181,000 people last year — nearly 0.5% of the population. CalMatters revealed in September that the number is now closer to 186,000 homeless people.

"I'm privileged," continued Longoria. "I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren't so lucky. They're going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them."

The incoming president of the "dystopian" country that Longoria has abandoned has indicated that he will secure the southern border, expel criminals who have stolen into the U.S., lower taxes, reduce crime, eliminate government waste, protect children from sex-change mutilations, lower energy costs, improve the health of American youth, end the corporate capture of federal agencies, and broker international peace.

Legacy media newspaper replaces editorial board over voter disconnect

In the aftermath of President-elect Donald Trump's landslide win, legacy media outlet the Los Angeles Times appears to be making a frantic effort to realign with voters.

On Wednesday, the Times' owner, Dr. Pat Soon-Shiong, announced that the newspaper would replace its editorial board.

'Putting lipstick on a pig.'

In a statement on X, Soon-Shiong wrote, "When the President has won the vote of the majority of Americans then ALL voices must be heard. Opinions are just that."

"I will work towards making our paper and media fair and balanced so that all voices are heard and we can respectfully exchange every American's view," he added, emphasizing that diverse perspectives would include opinions "from left to right to the center."

"Coming soon," Soon-Shiong wrote. "A new Editorial Board. Trust in media is critical for a strong democracy."

Over recent years, the editorial section of the L.A. Times has frequently published articles that clearly demonstrate its left-leaning bias.

The Times issued an opinion piece in 2021 written by columnist Erika D. Smith, titled, "Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy. You've been warned." The following year, the newspaper released an op-ed by business columnist Michael Hiltzik titled, "Mocking anti-vaxxers' COVID deaths is ghoulish, yes — but may be necessary."

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin noted that the L.A. Times published article after article "endorsing soft on crime [Los Angeles District Attorney] DA George Gascon, who just got blown out by over 20 points in his re-election bid."

Police analyst and Townhall columnist Phil Holloway responded on X to the news that the L.A. Times plans to replace its editorial board.

Holloway wrote, "Here in the south we call this 'putting lipstick on a pig.'"

"They can change the editorial board all they want, but until they abandon 'advocacy journalism' — which is a euphemism for propaganda — they will remain a newspaper worthy only of lining birdcages," Holloway added.

Leading into the election, Soon-Shiong faced significant pushback after he refused to allow the newspaper to endorse Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris. Since 2008, the Times has backed every Democratic presidential candidate.

Following the non-endorsement decision, the newspaper faced a wave of resignations, including three editorial board members.

Then-editorials editor Mariel Garza stated at the time, "I am resigning because I want to make it clear that I am not okay with us being silent."

"In dangerous times, honest people need to stand up. This is how I'm standing up," Garza added.

Soon-Shiong explained, "The Editorial Board was provided the opportunity to draft a factual analysis of all the POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE policies by EACH candidate during their tenures at the White House, and how these policies affected the nation."

"Instead of adopting this path as suggested, the Editorial Board chose to remain silent and I accepted their decision," he said.

The Los Angeles Times Guild Unit Council and Bargaining Committee accused Soon-Shiong of "unfairly assigning blame to Editorial Board members for his decision not to endorse."

Trump’s win brings new hope to Border Patrol and ICE, likely averting officer exodus

Donald Trump's presidential victory last week has instilled a much-needed sense of hope among border and immigration agents.

Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers told Fox News Digital that morale within the agencies has completely turned around since Trump won. They also applauded the president-elect's decision to name Tom Homan as the incoming "border czar," noting that he is widely respected among agents.

'There are a lot of agents that had originally said that they would retire if President Trump did not win. ...They're going to hold back on their retirement because they want to serve under this administration again.'

A Massachusetts ICE officer told the news outlet, "It's a total 180. Troops are finally feeling like the sun is coming out after a very long storm."

"People are fired up to have support," the ICE officer continued. "It's amazing because we all became so numb. I don't think we realized how bad until we finally have hope again. Everyone is so happy about Homan's return."

A New York ICE officer stated that morale within the law enforcement agency is "super high, especially with the Homan news, too."

An Arizona Border Patrol agent told Fox News Digital that they are now "ecstatic to go to work," adding that morale within the CBP is "even higher than the first time he [Trump] won."

A senior ICE official told the news outlet, "I feel that people know now they will get to do the work they signed up to do and that they want to do."

"They know they can get the bad guys now. Public safety threats, national security threats, gang members, here we come," the official said.

National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez also confirmed the uptick in agents' enthusiasm, stating that "morale is through the roof."

"We've received hundreds of calls, texts, emails just saying how happy the agents are," Perez stated.

Just last month, several CBP agents warned about a potential staffing crisis in the event that Vice President Kamala Harris won the November presidential election, Blaze News previously reported. They told the New York Post that many officers would likely opt to retire, with one agent calling the last four years under the Biden-Harris administration's leadership "hell."

One Border Patrol officer told the Post, "Lots of guys who can retire will go. If Trump wins, they'll stay."

Perez explained that many of the agents who had planned to retire have decided to remain since Trump's win.

He said, "There are a lot of agents that had originally said that they would retire if President Trump did not win. And now those same agents are saying they're going to hold back on their retirement because they want to serve under this administration again, because they know exactly how it was during this first administration, and they know this one's going to be even better."

A Texas border agent repeated similar remarks to Fox News Digital, stating, "People who were going to retire are not and everyone is happy."

However, a California Border Patrol officer told the news outlet that agents are "hopeful but the give-ups are still trickling in."

"Nothing will change until Tom Homan takes the leash off us," the officer remarked.

Trump has vowed to "strengthen ICE" by "increas[ing] penalties for illegal entry and overstaying Visas, and reinstat[ing] 'Remain in Mexico' and other Policies that helped reduce Illegal Immigration by historic lows in President Trump's first term."

AOC's supporters reveal why they split their ticket for Trump and down-ballot Dems

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a far-left New York Democratic U.S. representative, asked her social media followers over the weekend why some of them chose to split their ticket, voting for both President-elect Donald Trump and down-ballot Democratic candidates.

In a landslide, Ocasio-Cortez won her re-election race for New York's District 14 against Republican opponent Tina Forte last week. According to the Associated Press, Ocasio-Cortez clinched nearly 69% of the vote. Despite the Democratic candidate's sweeping victory, District 14 also leaned toward Trump by one of the most significant margins in New York City.

'Trump is authentic. Harris was grown in a lab. People can tell.'

"People who support both Trump & me OR voted Trump/Dem, tell us why," Ocasio-Cortez asked her eight million Instagram followers.

The congresswoman shared some of the unexpected responses, and a few common themes emerged: Voters wanted a change candidate, appreciated Trump's authenticity, and were unimpressed by Vice President Kamala Harris.

One respondent stated, "It's real simple… trump and you care for the working class."

Another respondent explained that they "wanted change," so they voted for Trump and Democratic candidates for the remainder of the ballot "to put some brakes."

Other followers explained that they lost trust in establishment candidates from both parties.

"I feel like Trump and you are both real," one follower wrote.

"I feel that you both are outsiders compared to the rest of DC, and less 'establishment,'" another individual responded.

A third person stated that "action & progress" are greater than "stagnation & excuses."

"Both of you push boundaries and force growth," the social media user added.

"You are focused on the real issues people care about," another person wrote. "Similar to Trump populism in some ways."

One respondent did not vote for Vice President Kamala Harris because Harris did not prioritize fixing the economy, adding that "when she talked [about] it she didn't have a plan."

Echoing this sentiment, another shared that Harris "wasn't the choice of the people," she "couldn't interview," and she had "no clear policies."

Another contributor stated that Trump "speaks of war as something that is bad," while the Democratic Party has become "the party that supports war."

In response to Ocasio-Cortez's poll, a senior Democratic aide on Capitol Hill told the New York Post, "If either party wants a sweep, they have to figure out how to harvest authenticity."

"That's who wins. Trump is authentic. Harris was grown in a lab. People can tell," the source added, noting that the Democrats had a lot of messaging misses with voters.

"The Democratic Party wrote the symphony of Donald Trump — they even conducted it," the source continued. "All he had to do was take a bow."

Failed Harris campaign went deeper into debt blowing money on star-studded events

Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, and self-identified "Childless Cat Lady" Taylor Swift were among the many coastal celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris in the lead-up to the vice president's monumental defeat. It turns out that the production of inauthentic election-time adoration and ideological conviction was expensive.

Federal filings revealed that the campaign, which is reportedly indebted to the tune of over $18 million after blowing roughly $1 billion on Harris' latest failed presidential run, poured boatloads of cash into influencer networks and production companies linked to big names in the entertainment industry.

Federal Election Commission filings show, for instance, that the Harris campaign committee paid Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions $1 million on Oct. 15.

Winfrey tried her apparent best on more than one occasion to generate excitement for Harris. In September, she hosted a rally in Michigan, suggesting that there was a "grassroots movement" behind the vice president and that Harris inspired "a real feeling of optimism and hope."

On the eve of Harris' rejection by the majority of American voters, Winfrey told a crowd in Philadelphia once again to vote, suggesting it might be their last opportunity ever to do so.

Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, rapper 2 Chainz, and Lady Gaga also made appearances at Harris' final swing-state concerts. The Washington Examiner indicated that the campaign blew over $15 million on "event production"-related costs.

'It didn't matter to have a bunch of celebrities talking to no one.'

Elements of the defeated Harris campaign told the New York Post that former Obama campaign adviser Stephanie Cutter pushed the star-studded concert performances as a way to turn out lower-propensity voters — a plan apparently supported by senior Harris adviser David Plouffe, who has since taken steps to erase his social media presence.

One campaign source told the Post, "They said they were 'spending to zero.' I guess they overshot zero."

Another source said that the costly events constituted "a real misuse of funds that could have been better spent on ads laying out economic polices" to irate and struggling voters. "It didn't matter to have a bunch of celebrities talking to no one, because one, 75 million people already voted, and two, people were concerned about their own financial issues, not Oprah telling them America won't exist."

The Harris campaign apparently dodged the Post's request for comment.

'Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others.'

"Money can't buy you love or a good candidate," a Trump campaign adviser told the Examiner.

When compared to President-elect Donald Trump's various podcast appearances, which were virtually all massively popular — especially his appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience," which has netted over 48.7 million views on YouTube alone despite its initial suppression — Harris' "Call Her Daddy" interview with Alex Cooper was a failure, netting fewer than 845,000 views on YouTube.

This promotional spot was not only ineffective but costly. An unnamed source told the Examiner that the Harris campaign spent six figures building a set for the vice president's "Call Her Daddy" appearance.

Federal filings also indicate that the Harris campaign spent tens of millions of dollars on consultants to stimulate and simulate support online. The Examiner noted that Village Marketing Agency received over $3.9 million, ostensibly for its help recruiting social media influencers to boost the vice president online.

Trump appeared to troll the Harris campaign on Truth Social over the weekend, writing, "I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn't have lots of$’s left over. Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others."

"Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do," continued the president elect. "We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was 'Earned Media,' and that doesn't cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Trump's win already shrinks thousands-strong migrant caravan

Donald Trump's Tuesday presidential victory against Vice President Kamala Harris is already having a positive impact on illegal immigration, even months before his official inauguration.

In October, Blaze News reported that thousands of foreign nationals were making their way through Mexico, hoping to cross into the United States before an administration change.

'They're already self-pre-deporting. WE ARE SO BACK!!!'

At the time, Luis Garcia Villagran, director of the Tapachula-based Center for Human Dignity, told a local news outlet, "As we speak, 40,000 to 45,000 migrants, 30% from the Middle East and Africa, are stuck and trying to leave for the United States before the end of the year."

On Thursday, Reuters reported that a 3,000-strong caravan headed toward the U.S.-Mexico border had shrunk by nearly half after Trump clinched the presidency.

Trump has vowed to make curbing illegal immigration one of his highest priorities, pledging mass deportation efforts.

According to Reuters, after hearing about Trump's victory, many of those in the caravan "felt less hopeful about their chance at a new life in the United States."

Valerie Andrade, a Venezuelan national, told the news outlet, "I had hoped [Kamala Harris] would win, but that didn't happen."

Others who remained in the caravan stated that they hope the Biden-Harris administration's CBP One app will allow them to book an asylum appointment at the border before Trump is inaugurated.

During a Monday rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, Trump sent a message to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

"I'm going to inform [Mexico's president] on day one or sooner that if they don't stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I'm going to immediately impose a 25% tariff on everything they send into the United States of America," Trump told his supporters.

"If that doesn't work," he continued, "I'll make it 50%; if that doesn't work, I'll make it 75%. Then I'll make it 100%."

Real America's Voice correspondent Oscar Ramirez noted that since Trump's win, the Mexican government has taken a more proactive role in deterring migrants from heading to the U.S. border. He added that he still anticipates there will be an increase in illegal immigration in the final months of Joe Biden's presidency as foreign nationals try to enter before Trump gets into office.

Donald Trump Jr. reacted to the news that the massive caravan had dropped to roughly 1,600 individuals.

"They're already self-pre-deporting. WE ARE SO BACK!!!" he wrote on X.
