Prognosis Negative

Anthony Fauci was due to turn 80 in 2020. If the good doctor had hung up his white coat as the calendar ticked over into that fateful year, he would have spent the rest of his days basking in a well-earned reputation for virtuous public service. He wouldn't be as famous as he is today. His name wouldn't be a household one. But it wouldn't be a curse either, a name loathed by those on one side of our hyper-partisan political and cultural divide. This is Dr. Fauci's tragedy—and unfortunately his legacy—an accomplished doctor and public servant who will be remembered by half his compatriots as a modern hero and by the other half as a megalomaniac villain. For many, his name has become synonymous with that arrogant insistence by elites that only they knew what was best for us and then made decisions rooted in uncertain science that had devastating consequences.

Tim Walz Spent Billions To 'Improve Child Literacy.' Reading Levels Remain Low, New Test Scores Show.

Minnesota governor Tim Walz, now the Democratic vice presidential candidate, last year signed a flagship education bill that boosted K-12 education spending by more than $2 billion, a "signature accomplishment" that he said would "improve child literacy." New test scores reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show that hasn't happened.

‘Unprecedented’: California Health Workers Face Fine or Imprisonment for Going Maskless

Some of California’s most populous counties have made seasonal mask mandates the new normal for health care workers, a move that critics say is an overreach unsupported by science.

Refusing To Comply With Future Mask Mandates Isn’t Enough. We Need A Federal Ban

We need more than anger and vague calls to civil disobedience. We need legislative action at the federal level.

California city bucks liberal agenda, votes to ban mask and vaccine mandates: 'Limited the freedoms of the citizens'

Huntington Beach, a beautiful seaside town in Orange County, will never again enforce a mask or vaccine mandate.

At a meeting on Tuesday, the Huntington Beach City Council voted to ban universal mask mandates and COVID-19 vaccine mandates in the city. Mayor Pro Tem Gracey Van Der Mark (R) introduced the resolution, which was approved by a 4-3 vote.

The concern? Not trampling on the freedoms and liberties of Huntington Beach residents.

"With the increase in reports that there now may be a COVID resurgence and spread by a new COVID-19 variant, and additional discussion of possible new broad (universal) mask-wearing mandates and pushes for vaccination boosters, the City Council of Huntington Beach should take a stand against government imposing on individual liberties and broadly imposing response measures on individuals that have been proven to have little or no effectiveness," the resolution says.

Previous mandates, the declaration explains, "unnecessarily limited the freedoms of the citizens of Huntington Beach — even those who were not around anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 or at risk of any exposure."

Those freedom-limiting mandates, the declaration goes on to say, had "little to no effectiveness on the spread of COVID-19."

"Individuals not directly at risk of direct exposure should have a right to choose whether to wear a mask or not, or whether to get vaccinated or not," the resolution declares.

With the resolution's narrow approval, the city manager will come to the next city council meeting to declare Huntington Beach a "no mask and no vaccine mandate City."

There is one small caveat, however. The new resolution will not apply to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Opponents of the move have already tried to nullify it. Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley (D), for example, told the Los Angeles Times the resolution lacks authority because only state officials in Sacramento can set public health policies. It's unclear if anyone will attempt to challenge the legality of the resolution.

Huntington Beach, a rare Republican haven in the Los Angeles area, regularly rebelled against lockdown orders and mandates during the pandemic.

THESE are the first places reinstating COVID MASK MANDATES

Surprise, surprise. COVID hysteria is back.

Don’t be shocked if you see “mask required” signs start popping up as we make our way into the fall season.

Some places have already started requiring people to wear masks, even though “masks do not work,” says Dave Rubin.

Who’s leading the charge in the reinstatement of masks, you ask?

Schools, mostly.

One elementary school in Montgomery County, Maryland, has reinstated a mask mandate for students.

“The damage you are doing, especially to a young person – a third-grader – putting them in this thing; I cannot believe this is where we're at again,” says Dave.

“They can't see their friends; they can't smile; they just bow to the system; they become little cogs in a machine,” he continues, adding that the entire ordeal “is just so evil.”

The University of Michigan has also taken action. According to the school's new policy, students who test positive for COVID must evacuate their dorms for five days and live in a hotel room or with a relative.

“If you have a kid at a college who's got COVID, let him spread it with a bunch of young, healthy people, and maybe they'll have the sniffles for a little bit,” but “don't send them to Grandma's house, you morons,” laments Dave, pointing out the obvious flawed logic.

For now, these mandates are mostly within schools, but rest assured you’ll see more and more institutions jump aboard in the days to come. By now we know hysteria is just as contagious as the virus.

Democrats Expected To Oppose Republican-Led Legislation Banning Return Of Covid Tyranny And Forced Masking

The bill is a response to the renewed push across the country to usher in another round of Covid tyranny as virus cases spike.

Sen. JD Vance proposes the 'Freedom to Breathe Act,' an anti-mask mandate measure

Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio is proposing a measure that would prohibit the imposition of federal mask mandates for air travel, public transit, and educational institutions.

In addition to barring federal officials and entities from imposing mask mandates in those three areas, the aptly titled "Freedom to Breathe Act" would also bar schools and institutions of higher education that receive federal funds, airlines, and public transit operators from refusing service to people who choose not to wear a mask.

The proposal would also prohibit using federal funds to support or establish a mask mandate applicable to public transit, air travel, or educational institutions.

The period when the various provisions would be in place would end on December 31, 2024.

"We tried mask mandates once in this country. They failed to control the spread of respiratory viruses, violated basic bodily freedom, and set our fellow citizens against one another," Vance said, according to a press release. "This legislation will ensure that no federal bureaucracy, no commercial airline, and no public school can impose the misguided policies of the past. Democrats say they’re not going to bring back mask mandates – we’re going to hold them to their word."

The bill likely has little chance of clearing both chambers of Congress and earning the signature of Democratic President Joe Biden.

First lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that President Biden, who has been testing negative for the illness, would be masking while indoors and near other people. But not much later on Tuesday the president went maskless while awarding the Medal of Honor to someone.
