‘Don’t take the Swift pill’: Why Trump’s anti-Taylor Swift message was ‘powerful’

Contrary to popular belief, not all women like Taylor Swift.

And James Poulos, BlazeTV host of “Zero Hour,” believes that when Donald Trump posted to Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” he was simply doing what he does best.

He was speaking his mind — but he was actually speaking the mind of the people.

“You’ve got Donald Trump dropping one of those immortal pieces of social media that he does so well. Love him or hate him, ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’ in all caps, I mean that is as far from a debate as you can get, but it’s powerful,” Poulos tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

“Why is it powerful? Because no one else of similar stature is out there’s saying it’s OK not to like Taylor Swift. You don’t have to take the Swift pill,” Poulos adds, noting that Swift’s presence in the world is much like that of Beyonce's — except bigger.

“There’s some incredible stuff coming out recently about Irving Azoff, the sort of super agent, and this kind of world that he’s constructed with Live Nation and these other mega corporations. Taylor Swift is a part of that beast,” he explains.

And he’s right. Swift’s high-profile relationship with Travis Kelce and endorsement of Kamala Harris for president has her taking on what Poulos calls “superhuman proportions.”

While Savage understands, she’s not giving up on Swift.

“I still love her,” she laughs.

Bette Midler reposts conspiracy theory about shooting and accuses Trump of inciting violence against Taylor Swift

Celebrity Bette Midler reposted a conspiracy theory about the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump and claimed his message against Taylor Swift was illegal.

The rabid messages were posted to Midler's official social media account on the X platform.

'What the f*** really DID happen in Butler PA.'

"#Trump rage-tweeting his hate for #TaylorSwift is not just dangerous, it’s illegal. He is putting out a hit on her, and we all know it," she wrote on Sunday just about the time of the second assassination attempt on Trump's life.

Midler was referring to a simple message Trump posted saying in call caps that he hated the singer after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris (D).

"He wants his minions to do his dirty work, and you know they will. If she is hurt, he will deny that he knows anything about it, as he always does, 'I don’t know, I haven’t heard.' She should sue the diapers off him, and I hope she does. #SwiftiesUnite," she added.

She also boosted a tweet wondering aloud if Trump's healed ear was a sign that the official story from the first assassination attempt was fake somehow.

"So, since we've all established that an ear 'blown off' by a bullet from an automatic rifle doesn't grow back on it's own, what the f*** really DID happen in Butler PA, the day two people died?" the missive read.

Midler retweeted the conspiracy tweet to her 2.1 million followers, and it garnered over 3.9 million views on the X platform.

Trump's all-caps message detailing his hatred of Taylor Swift was buried after reports of a second apparent assassination attempt on the former president's life just hours later.

She has previously been caught in online controversies after posting on social media. In one example from 2019, Trump ridiculed her as a "sick scammer" for peddling a false quote attributed to him mocking Republicans.

Barbra Streisand lashes out at Trump after he demands Taylor Swift endorse him out of loyalty

Barbra Streisand lashed out angrily at former President Donald Trump after he criticized Taylor Swift in a missive issued ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The former president said that the popular singer had been disloyal to him despite his support of a law that benefitted her and other artists' media ownership interests.

"I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will," wrote Trump in the post on Truth Social Sunday.

"There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money," he continued. "Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!"

Swift has not yet endorsed anyone for the 2024 presidential election, but she formerly supported Biden in the 2020 election.

Streisand defended Swift in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday after the Super Bowl.

"Trump is telling Taylor Swift that she’ll be disloyal if she supports Biden! Can you imagine?" she asked.

"This is what a dictator is like. He’s really flipped his lid now," she added.

Swift attended the Super Bowl and watched on as her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, helped the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

Kelce had previously kneeled during the national anthem when the Black Lives Matter protests were ubiquitous in the NFL. Many on the left later criticized him when he said he would attend a White House event with then-President Trump and called it an honor regardless of who was in the Oval Office.

He was also criticized by the right after he appeared on commercials endorsing the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
